He looked so peaceful.

The sound of the chirping birds travelled through the open windows, entering your home and filling your bedroom with it. It was the reason you were awake, along with fresh slight winds of the clear forest air, the curtains dancing to its flow.

You were facing Logan, a hand of yours on his bearded cheek, your thumb grazing his skin back and forth. It was not often that he got to sleep and rest like he was now. You had just moved into this house a few days ago. But you could already tell that for him, this was his safe place. Not only because it was in the middle of the pine tree forest, but also because of you.

He looked so peaceful.

Careful to not wake him, you scooped your legs up, lifting the covers only enough for you to wiggle out of bed silently. Glancing back at him with your lips in a tight line, you placed your feet one by one on the cool wooden planks, getting up slowly in order to not make the floor creak. Once up, you started tiptoeing out of your shared bedroom, heading to the bathroom to freshen up before going to the kitchen.

Logan loved black coffee. You did not understand how anyone could drink it that bitter but for him it was more of a functional drink than something to enjoy. Not that he needed it to wake up; that man was practically a unit anyway. It just made him feel more human to share coffee or tea with you in the morning. Besides, he was too proud to allow himself to add some milk or sugar. No matter how he was behind closed doors, a contrast to how strangers would see him, this was the one thing he would not change: The drinks stay bitter. Any time of the day where he is able to spend time with you is a blessing. So if he has to drink black coffee to have it; he will.

After pouring his coffee into his favourite mug, you tenderly walked up the stairs, trying to remain quiet in order to not wake him. No matter how at peace he seemed to be right now, Logan was used to be on edge his whole life. Any sound too noisy was able to wake him up right away, possibly with his claws out and adrenaline pumping through his veins, ready to get rid of the threat. It hurt your heart every time he had wake up like that. Therefore, being as quiet as possible was the way to go.

Once back upstairs in your bedroom you leaned on the doorframe, not able to hide the corners of your lips quirking up as you took another look at him.

He looked so peaceful.

As you walked cautiously to his side of the bed you placed the white mug on his nightstand, creating a small sound that made you cringe. You sat down next to his frame, slowly letting your hips sink into the mattress. Leaning over to him, you delivered small kisses over his nose and cheeks, resting a hand on his chest and the other on his cheek once you noticed him flinching awake.

“Good morning to you, too.” He mumbled, his voice raw and gravelly. Logan wrapped his arms around you, pulling you close to his exposed chest, his grip around your back tightening each second, making you giggle.

When trying to fight back and sit up, he only held on more, making you burst out a soft laugh. “Stop it!”

Logan grinned, his eyes crinkling as he let out a soft chuckle before finally letting go.

Once you sat up and rested your forearms on him, you took a good look at him, the eye contact filled with love and warmth.

He looked so peaceful.

Logan tucked a lose strand of your hair behind your ear, a large hand of his running up and down your back.

“I brought you coffee.” You smile, running your fingers through his dark and messy hair.

“Can smell it.”

A moment of silence passes where you continue to look at each other. It seemed like he was just taking you in, analyzing your face in detail with a gentle curl of his lips.

“I already watered the plants.” You informed him, your fingers now travelling downwards to roam over his chest.

Logan raised his eyebrows, clearly playfully mocking you. “Did you now?”

As a response you lightly tapped his chest before reminding him that he had promised you to go on a morning run with you.

“Just a few more minutes.” He grumbled, placing both hands back on your back to embrace your warmth. The skin-to-skin contact put him at ease. Made him feel safe. Made him feel peaceful.

“I love you.”

Logan smiled at you, leaning his upper body up to give you a small yet rather long kiss. “I love you too, sweetheart.”

Managing to get him up was a story for itself. It included a lot of pulling and tugging at his arm. Obviously, he just gave in and given you what you wanted. How would you be able to singlehandedly pull up a man whose bones consisted of adamantium?

Once at the front door, already dressed and hair put up to your liking, you were tying your shoes, waiting for you lover to join. You looked up when you heard the creaking of the stairs only to see him in shorts and a tank top, making you smile. “There you are. I almost thought I’d have to go alone.”

Logan clicked his tongue, “You won’t ever go alone if I’m here.” He said. He took advantage of you being bent over and gave your behind a small smack, grinning once you stood up straight.

“Perv.” You giggled, smiling into another kiss.

Things you do that annoy the brothers.

Lucifer:

- You are as hard to wake up as Belphie sometimes. Especially on days where you don’t have to go to RAD - You very much complain about going to school. The classes are more interesting than human ones for sure but still. School is school. Lucifer understands a bit more when you tell him how human schools work, but you grumble just as much as the brothers and, in his opinion, doesn’t make Diavolo look good. - It’s hard to get you alone sometimes because his family and friends keep pulling you for themselves. He has, on more than one occasion, cleared your schedule and told you where and when to be so he can spend time with you.

Mammon:

- You forget to call him ‘Your first’. A lot. He will never ADMIT this bugs him, but it’s clear as whatever counts as ‘day’ in the Devildom. You are the person who makes him feel special and he feels less special when you don’t call him your first whenever the pacts get mentioned. - You sometimes call the human world your ‘Home’. He knows it’s technically true but he feels that here is your home; the House of Lamentation. - You don’t invite him to your room. You’ve told him that you don’t do it because he asks to come in all the time anyways; to the point that you’ve walked into your room to find him already in there with something for you to do. But still. He wants an invitation. Leviathan:

- You have Christopher Peugeot's autograph and you won’t give it to him. You’ve said you can get one for him but he refuses. He wants to meet the author himself and get it. And you don’t understand why he’s so jealous that he hasn’t met his favorite author yet. - You never try sleeping in the bathtub with him. You cuddle in everyone else’s bed, but you know that it’s going to be painful to try and you’ve explained. But he still wishes you’d give it a shot. - He can hear you and Mammon going at it and he hates it. He confronted Mammon about it and had earplugs thrown in his face for it.

Satan:

- You’ve stepped on his books when trying to get to him in his room. You never mean to, but still some of his favorites have your shoeprints on them. - You remind him when Father’s Day is coming up so he can do something for Lucifer. - He can’t roll his Rs and you can and so you sometimes ‘purr’ at him and he gets jealous he can’t do it.

Asmodeus:

-You forget to compliment his beauty sometimes. He is beautiful and how dare you forget it! - You say no to sharing a shirt or makeup or piece of jewelry. While you know he will return it, how could you not share with his beautiful self. - You sometimes don’t let him dress you.

Beelzebub:

- You don’t always share what snacks you have. It doesn’t annoy him, but he does pout about it. - You don’t let him pick you up if you’re trying to reach something high up. It’s dangerous and you’re being dumb about it in his opinion.

Belphagor:

- You are a nag when he asks you to wake him up. Every five minutes you’re shaking and trying to wake him. - You sometimes don’t feel like doing the trek to the attic for sandwich cuddles

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

he loves cuddling and napping with you. it may not seem like he loves you — the only sign of affection you receive, being cuddles and naps. but trust me, his love for you is INTENSE... he has slaughtered many people for you. past lovers, bullies, any and all who have wronged you.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

he's willing to eliminate anyone for you. it can get very messy... lucifer has had to call for help to clean up evidence before. although his older brother tries his best to clean up after him, word still got out about the youngest's aggressive tendencies — simply because he leaves too many crime scenes behind, it's almost impossible to clean them all in such a short time. he's probably thought of eradicating the whole of purgatory hall and diavolo's castle too.

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

100%. you've heard him call you the meanest names before. he will always remind you of your place as a human —you'll always be inferior to him, like his little pet.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darling’s will?

putting you to sleep when and wherever he likes. arguing with him? go to sleep, maybe you'll start talking sense when you wake. out in public? he suddenly feels like you've spent too long outside, go to sleep, he'll take you home.

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

he doesn't tell you much, other than reports of only some of his victims. he keeps most of his carnal, deranged thoughts to himself. you're still well aware of his mania through his actions but you'll never know how deep his violent rabbit hole goes.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

if he's in a good mood, he might play along, just don't take it too far. if he's not, he'll lazily warn you first. if that doesn't work, he'll threaten you — reminding you of what he's done, what he can always do. if you decide to continue being a 'brat', he won't hesitate to wring your neck — not too harshly, he still needs to keep you around.

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

he thinks it's amusing. he forces you test his limits and wear skimpy clothes out and visit the dangerous places he's warned you about. he'll let you go out and 'have your fun' but he's stalking your every move — like you're his prey. he likes feeling jealous of the other people around you so he can 'reclaim' you back at home. (read N for what happens at home hehe)

Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?

you went too far with your 'teasing' one night and it ended in him strangling you with his tail again. you were seeing all black, your struggling limbs almost giving out on you. you genuinely thought you were going to succumb to the same demon again, but he eventually let go of you. it took you awhile to recover — laying on the floor, having a coughing fit and your vision still barely coming back. he stared down at you before letting out a satisfied "hmph." maybe you'll learn your lesson this time.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

believe it or not, he does imagine marriage with you. you, walking down the aisle in a beautiful wedding dress, towards him. he'll prepare a ring for you once you've settled down with him and stop fighting back. (he won't be doing any chores in the rs)

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

he stirs up his own feelings of jealousy so it's kind of his fault. he likes possessing you and claiming you as his. whether or not its by punishments or marking you physically. (should i make a nsfw continuation of this...?)

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

he loves the scent of you —stealing pieces of your clothing to smell and sleep with. he'll stick his nose as deep into your neck as he can to get the essence of you into his system. this is part of why he loves cuddling and napping with you too — holding you closely and wrapping his tail and limbs around you.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching their darling?

he does get broody if you hang out around other people other than beel. anyone else from HoL, purgatory hall and especially diavolo and barbatos are completely off limits to you. before he started acted aggressively, he would defensively lurk around you to make sure no one got too affectionate with you. when you notice him, he has to clutch his shirt to stop his thumping heart from beating out of his chest. surely this means you appreciate his protection!

Mask: Are their true colors drastically different from the way they act around everyone else?

nope. he acts aggressively towards everyone but beel. everyone close to the brothers are aware of his hostility and have tried reasoning with him before but has basically given up. diavolo has tried restraining the youngest brother again but lucifer has promised to keep his violence at bay.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

oh... he's cruel. if he's lenient, he'll give you nightmares in your sleep. if you've been disobedient, good luck... he'll wrap his tail around your neck, giving it a tight squeeze — reminding you of your previous end. you never know if he'll actually take your life again — that's what's most scary. he knows how much it terrifies you but he's a demon baby, it's what they do.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

your health is constantly at risk after your body has had to endure multiple chokings but proper healthcare isn't available to you. the only medication you'll get is some ointment meant for demon burns.

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

it depends on his mood. he's very unpredictable, with his patience levels fluctuating very often — making him all the more dangerous.

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

he would be in a state of pure disbelief for months, hallucinating and dreaming versions of you. then, he'll move onto finding ways to bring you back or pray that you'll return back to him in hell. (we all goin to hell for even reading this bffr)

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would they ever let their darling go?

although he lets you roam around devildom somewhat freely, he'll never completely let go of you. you're his to keep and possess.

Stigma: What brought about this side of them (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

being locked up in the attic created attachment issues in him. he finds a need to claim you and feel wanted by you. when you come running back to him, he feels euphoria — even if you're forced to.

Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?

he feels uneasy, not knowing how to confront the situation directly so he uses the only method he knows. putting you to sleep is the easiest way for him to sedate you and calm you down. isolating yourself breaks his heart but he'll try his best to break your defensive stance and get you to come and cuddle to ease the tension away.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the classic yandere?

(i'll skip this since i still dont't know the definition of a classic yandere TT)

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

if you could somehow find a way to possess a spell book, you could try finding a way to create a clone of you while the real you goes to find diavolo or barbatos. they have the authority and power to guard you from him and lock him back in that attic. lucifer will definitely be disappointed that he's failed to protect you again but you've had enough.

Wit’s end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

yes. (read F and N)

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

he treasures whatever affection you spare him and he secretly worships the ground you walk on. he doesn't try to win you over because there is no one for him to compete for him the begin with! none of them can fight him if they're all six feet below ground.

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

he could only stand watching you from afar for a few months before snapping. he couldn't go on any longer without you in his room, in his arms, under his control and claim.

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

yes yes yes and yes. he doesn't care if you lose your mind, then you'll be even more susceptible to his manipulation. you'll be much more obedient and finally stop whining and struggling all the damn time!

RS: The last time you played in the UK, we made a video piece where we asked your fans waiting in line about what the band has meant to them. So, as we wrap up this retrospective conversation, let’s finish on that same question – what does Twenty One Pilots mean to you?

JOSH: Well, it’s changed my life. I remember very early on, maybe even before Tyler and I played music together, having a conversation about music and what it is and what it means. Throughout the course of our lives, we’ve both experienced the journeys of what the human brain can do to you. It’s not always an easy road every day. I think Tyler and I both really took a lot from music to help with that, and having a conversation where we said ‘man, if we could make and put out music that helped one person through life, dealing with difficult times, that would feel worth it’. And it’s gone beyond that. 12 years into being a band, there’s a line of people outside of the shows. Seeing and noticing and not taking that for granted, and hearing stories of how it has impacted people positively, that’s what Twenty One Pilots is to me.

TYLER: It’s hard to make your dreams come true. But it’s not as far away as some people think. I think that what Twenty One Pilots has taught me and what it means to me is that when you are passionate about what you do, and you try to pair that with a confidence that what you’re doing is good, that goes so much further than actually having all the talent in the world or all the connections in the world or all the knowledge – all these things that get in the way of feeling like you can go do it. I remember when I first thought ‘I want to write songs, I want to play shows’, I’d be rubbing shoulders with people even in a local scene in Columbus, Ohio that knew so much more than me about gear and about songwriting, who were better at their instrument, knew more people in the industry, had more connections. It was this moment where I felt like I just wanted to quit. There’s no way I could catch up, I gotta learn all this, I got to meet all these people. Something in us said ‘No, you don’t need to figure all that out, just keep going’. Now I look around at something I want to do or understand or create or become and because of Twenty One Pilots, I now realise all of those walls that are in between me and becoming that thing, they’re just made of nothing. But you can still see them, and you feel like you can’t break through that wall. But really, you’ve got to just casually walk through them. It’s not that far away. I don’t know if that makes sense. But I’ve seen it in other ways. Now that I’m a dad, wanting to instil a passion or a purpose in a small child. What are they like? What do they want to become? What are they going to dream up to be? And not only just for me, but for them to see the story of Twenty One Pilots is something that should encourage them that yes, you can do that. I guess not to be too dramatic about it, but there’s no reason on paper why this should have worked. If you’re writing down on paper all the reasons why you think your dreams aren’t going to exist, then you’re looking at the wrong thing, because that’s actually not as big of a hurdle to clear.

Crossover Scene Breaks

Paid patreons got this almost a week ago, and it opened to everyone about four days ago. I meant to have it post here in tumblr at that time, but this week has been the absolute SHITTIEST, so that did not happen. Y'all are getting it now, instead. (The one following this, of HP scene breaks, will be queued and should post at the same time as the version on patreon goes public; paying patreons have access to it now.)

All of these are actually crossovers with Harry Potter, because I spent so long in that fandom.

As per previous scene break posts, these were created because I wanted fun scene breaks that were screen reader-friendly at AO3. The images on AO3 are smaller than the versions shared here—I like the larger versions that let you see a bit better the specifics that aren't always visible in the smaller versions—and due to the coding I use, they only exist when you have creator's style on, and cannot be viewed as an image.

Harry Potter/Doctor Who series got a silhouette of Hogwarts, outlined in purple, with a small TARDIS flying in front, and the text HP/DW in the HP font. The castle silhouette was actually pulled for Abandon/Reclaim, and then I just ended up using it for standard HP ship breaks, so you'll be seeing it a lot when the HP set drop.

HP/Torchwood, for my one fic in the Harry/Doctor series that more focussed on Harry being a member of Torchwood's team, which is basically the above break, but with a brighter outline on the castle silhouette (because I apparently changed it between versions; may or may not go in and match them up at some point) with the Torchwood T made up of hexagons at the bottom right.

For my HP/Radiata Stories fic, since it takes place entirely in the RS world, I went ahead and just used the break from the game's title logo, which is a dagger in the centre, pointing down, and a stylised line that looks a bit like a royal sceptre mirrored to either side. Recoloured gold with a purple outline. (I think there was also a non-crossover RS fic that I used this as a scene break for? But don't quote me on that.)

This is the break I decided to use for Fayth, which is HP/FF10, with Harry and some of his friends having become fayth and surviving to the Final Fantasy world/time. Background is that fayth are sealed into crystals, which break when the fayth is 'gone'. Harry has somehow been returned to the world as a living human, and his aeon was Phoenix, so I went with a cracked foreground with Phoenix in the background.

For my other HP/FF10 crossover, Twin Blades, I decided to recreate a scene from the opening AMV of the game, where you see Tidus' sword, Yuna's staff, and Wakka's ball all together on a hill while they rest at the entrance to Zanarkand. Except, I added Lulu's moogle plushie and then two katanas, as Harry's weapons. (Hence the title.) I did try a version with everyone's weapons, but it was...way too busy. So I cut back a bit, but kept Lulu because I adore her and, also, it's fucking adorable. And then, because I have no self-control, I made an alternate version, using their Celestial Weapons, and two alternate katanas for Harry. When I originally shared these on Patreon, I hadn't yet added the breaks to the fic, so I wasn't certain how well they'd work—I since have and ended up generally liking them, even on mobile—so I also made what I feel, in retrospect, was a kinda dumb go of two katanas pointed outward and vampire teeth in the centre, to use instead, as below:

omg i remember you saying something about one of Rs hobbies being cars and i just saw that one anon say that all the asks are based around R and J when the get together. i was thinking that maybe during another one of their petty spats/disputes where they are holding a grudge against each other over something minor, one day J calls R (begrudgingly may i add) cuz her car’s not starting and it’s making noises and she’s all like “i hate to call you right now but my dad is too busy and you’re the only other person who i know that really knows cars, can you help” and R laughs but accepts the task anyway (cuz she’s so in love with J and can never say no to her obvi especially when she’s in distress).

she gets there and J’s all like “oh the car is making noises and it won’t start” R gets to work and they are actually conversing like normal humans whilst R is getting to work on the car and she checks under the car nothing seems to be the problem there and then she checks under the hood and finds a bobby pin in one of the parts and J’s like “oh must’ve gotten in there when filling up the window wiper fluid” and R’s laughing then she goes to try to start the car and sees it’s still not starting. R sees that the car key is not fully going into the keyhole and finds a cocomelon sticker jammed in the keyhole that one of j’s cousins/family members must’ve put in there.

R’s probably just laughing at the irony of how little things cause such a big problem and J is probably thinking the same but covering her face in embarrassment and they realise they should probably apologise to each other and maybe they do maybe they don’t cuz once again they are too stubborn. btw this was just a thought, you don’t have to do but i’ve been dwelling on this idea too much not to let it out.

Ah, I agree! I was missing quite a bit of nuance here. I mean, I do not only get defensive when it comes to Jk and Tae 😅 (and I’m also currently at work.. and in my haste I don’t always think things through).

The comments under that post are very insightful. And I’ll add that uncomfortable feelings are common in our lives. I feel uncomfortable when people get too close.. and like Jk.. I pull back or step away. That doesn’t mean that the person getting close has bad behavior though.. it just means that it doesn’t suit my personal preference. Basically, I have a reaction when someone does something I don’t want them to do. I think that’s normal and it happens a lot. As humans we are constantly in a balancing act with each other. We hurt our friends when our jokes are too harsh, our siblings can be brutal… all in all though.. we are very capable of dealing with all that, because most of time we know that the person doing the overstepping actually loves us and doesn’t mean to harm us, but rather is misjudging the moment. That is how I see Jm and Jk when Jk pulls back. Jk knows that Jm means no harm, so he just lets him know and it’s fine.

Pushing boundaries is such a nuanced topic and the relationship you have with the person pushing those boundaries makes all the difference. By no means should a stranger push boundaries, by no means should boundaries be constantly pushed and not accepted, by no means should only one person be allowed to have boundaries.. you catch my drift. But I think in Jk and Jm’s case it is pretty clear that Jm has no ill intentions, and Jk’s reaction to him is one of friendship.

I'm a Morlock, and they welcome the Marauders, the people who massacred us, there. Seeing people call Elain abusive is odd to me… I mean, yea, she should’ve done more for Feyre, that’s not an excuse. But if anyone was abusive to Feyre out of the two sisters, that’s Nesta. Besides the fact that she didn’t help Feyre with anything as the oldest daughter, she also treated her like crap and insulted her on a daily basis. Now, that’s what I call bad and abusive. But let’s get past that, WHY ON EARTH IS ELAIN ABUSIVE? That girl barely talks tbh… We all do agree that she had to help Feyre, be more close to her, etc etc. But I do feel that it was just her persona to cower in the back and even if she wanted to do something there was Nesta that put her in her place! I think we even saw it in ACOSF how Nesta started to mistreat Elain the second ELAIN DARED TO DO A THING OR TWO BY HERSELF! When she TALKED BACK to Nesta. And also their mother used Elain as only a pretty face and basically said she’s not useful for anything else. So that resulted in Elain being quiet and staying in the back and Nesta becoming some kind of mother for her, and I KNOW Nesta was always “defending” Elain, but she was so possessive and toxic, that it kept Elain kinda in a cage. Again, In ACOSF we saw how Nesta treated Elain when she lost the control over her. The way she treated Feyre bc she was more “wild” and she couldn’t control her. Soooo, I don’t wanna see y’all again call Elain abusive, that’s literally too much. 💀💀💀 Stop being biased and speak the facts. She did very wrong, true, but she acknowledged that and apologized and she’s currently trying to repair the rs with Feyre.

Also, I’m tired of seeing people putting these sisters against each other constantly? I mean, I get it in a way with Nesta bc even I can’t ever forgive her till the end, bc Imo she had no reason to be THAT b!tchy and controlling and spiteful… especially with her baby sister (s). But, I don’t get why y’all say that Elain is being fake to Feyre? Bro?? Or that Feyre doesn’t actually like her and all lol… In fact, there are many times in the books where Feyre talks very beautifully about Elain, even if she (El) was also not helping her while they were humans and all. It was pretty obvious that Feyre didn’t had that many issues with Elain bc El was never rude to Feyre, she never insulted her; she was just… there. I know it’ll sound odd; but Elain is more complex than y’all could ever think. I’m telling you. She’s quiet and she’s sometimes zoning out, she’s lost, but most of all, SHE IS OBSERVING things. And now that she is free from Nesta’s “wings” she can actually do things for herself and choose for HER. There’s no one to talk for her anymore, or make choices for her, or acting like they know the real her when in fact… she’s an enigma for most of them lol. (Side note: Rhysie kinda makes choices for Elain with that order he gave to Az, but that’s another thing lmao, now I’m waiting for the forbidden love 💕)

Anyways, sorry for the rant, it just made me mad seeing those things about Elain. Like, I understand you hate her, but try and understand her character and read those books a billion times to see why she was even that way. And not that it was an excuse, but even Feyre points out a few things about her. You stan Feyre, listen to what your fave says/ thinks. ✨
