#Phantom Abandoner Issues: feeling like you abandoned someone but were forcefully removed from their life

ok- we're having a convo in dms but this is off track of that so I'm submitting it into your inbox

I had thoughts about Thomas.

so in the RS AU, you said his human dad was a doctor and even though Imm talking about reg AU, his dad is still a doctor

so I was thinking "what if he started getting left alone as he got older" because his human mom died when he was relatively young due to a disease and his dad starts getting busier as a doctor because of outbreaks, and so he's left alone. His dad does end up remarrying eventually, but his new wife doesn't like Thomas because he's "off" and so she always takes his step siblings out but never him

what I'm trying to say is I want to give Thomas abandonment issues if you'll let me do that

I agree 💯💯 because that means he feels even worse when getting captured by Britain, cause now he feels like he abandoned his youngest daughter when she still needed him :)
