I humbly request more monster!141 if that’s okay? Maybe one where the reader is actually in danger or taken hostage by another group and they go nearly feral trying to find them? Meanwhile reader is just making the other group’s life hell because I mean they work with monsters, this is nothing.

Of course, you even said humbly, I love how cute you are. I give you Hunter being a menace to the Shadow Company.

Hostage Situation

He doesn’t know where it went wrong, how everything went tits-up within seconds. At first, they were treading through a somber and thick forest, using their NVG to guide them in the dark; then they were ambushed, pushed to their own corner with the number of resurfacing Shadows, thralls without their master; and lastly, in those panicked minutes, you were taken, whisked away by the vampire thralls.

They grew frantic when they regrouped, seeing you missing and unresponsive to any calls. The first thing they did was plan for your rescue, standing around the table with Laswell on screen, voices being thrown around with their own opinions and thoughts. It didn’t help Price’s anxiety, only adding to his fear and anger. His tailed whipped and his wing jerked behind him, smoke leaving his mouth in slow, small clouds, but he knew you were capable, able to hold your own with a group of monsters and hybrids without much trouble like you did with them.

“Hunter’s smart, resourceful, tricky, able,” Price sighed, pressing his whole weight on the table. “I’m sure they know what to do with monsters.”

“Much like us, aye?”

“Very.”

With everything set and a plan made, they shipped out to the protected base, grey boxes built on cemented ground in a lush forest. It was unusually barren, with only a few guards patrolling the perimeter and a tense atmosphere. It was suspicious the way they acted and the jerky manner of guarding, back too straight and limbs too tightly wound. They did quick work of them, spraying their blood on the floor and moving forward, head clear and bodies taunt with caution.

They heard bickering, a familiar voice ringing around them and another more masculine one, this one sounding sad and sobbing. They were talking about something, vampiric in essence with a touch of sadness and trauma to it. They approached the source, an open door with a yellow glow lighting the surrounding areas of the wide entrance. The closer they got, the clearer the discussion was, it wasn’t between two people, it was between you and a whole mass of vampire thralls.

“Are you kidding me?” Price heard you scoffed, he imagined you had your arms crossed, a frown adorning your loving face while you stared them down, the mass of thralls lost without their master. “I know you cared about him and all, but he’s dead. He has no control over your minds and bodies, and you know what that means?”

“We’re lost?” The voice was hesitant, seemingly scared of you.

“Fuck’s sake! No! What are you? A lost puppy? Mindless without his master?” You hissed at them, he heard you shift, your boots thumping on the ground as you landed. “What do you want to do? What have you wanted to do before being under his control? Eternal servitude until he throws you away? To serve until you die from a hunter - what were they called… paladins?”

He listened to you berate the group, shaming them about their decisions, acting on the accords of a dead master. Without his influence or his control, being enthralled into doing something he wants or orders, they were lost, much like a puppy without his mother or caretaker. Some had been under him for decades, mind empty apart from Graves’ whims and plans, while others were much, much younger, serving under him only for a few years without much plans outside of the Shadow Company. Those left and thought for themselves, finding something to put their minds on like Mace or Roze.

When the group started murmuring, sharing words between them at your questions, the decided to move in, pushing past the entrance and aiming their rifles at the vampires. They froze, red eyes staring widely at them in what Price would perceive as fear or surprise, none moved, standing or sitting still, but you moved, face broken in a wide smile and eyes gleaming joyfully. You ran to his arms, wrapping them around his waist, being careful not to grab onto his wing.

“Don’t worry about them, I beat them down enough,” you shot him an innocent smile, as if you had no hand in making them all cower and shake hours ago. “Let’s go, hmm?”

Price wanted to scoff, he wanted to laugh and he also wanted to smile and hold you in his arms (he did, wrapping his thick arms around your waist and gripping onto your gear with his clawed fingers, talons threatening to dig into the cloth), but he had to get you home and the thralls disposed off in any way: dead, disappeared, gone or cutting ties with the Shadows.

“C’mon, love.”

Undyne is the head of the royal guard who is a really extreme, fight first ask questions later type of person and Alphys is the royal scientist that in trying to help the underground did some really horrific shit but is really awkward and a massive wet cat of a women. Basically imagine the sort of ship of badass woman plus a really pathetic guy but instead of being a guy it’s a bisexual disaster lady that did some really unethical experiments in a attempt to help people Their first meeting is Undyne, possibly unknowingly stopping Alphys from committing suicide from the guilt of what she done, and giving her something to hold onto everyday and like, Undyne sees her as one of the people to protect and be strong for and I’m just!!!! The two of them just work so well together despite being in different sorts of worlds

Essay on erasure under cut

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has a very big problem: the erasure of minorities in their characters. They continuously change parts of characters in order to appeal to a larger demographic of audiences. When in reality- the Marvel comics were never about that. In comics we have characters that aren’t even subtle about being minorities. There’s even an entire franchise based around the idea of superpowers creating a minority that faces major discrimination. All whilst telling a cohesive story. In the movies however, the characters that are portrayed as a minority like in comics don’t get a good story.

This is most present in a certain family. The Maximoff’s are a jewish-romani family. However in age of ultron where the scarlet witch and her brother were introduced they are cast as white. As well as had them work with literal nazis. Not only that but the movie immediately killed off one half of the twins. Peitro despite at least keeping his name unlike his X-Movies counterpart, was somehow shot to death by bullet’s he is meant to be faster than. 

In the new show Agatha all along they cast Joe Locke as Billy Kaplan. Many may argue that Agatha all along is playing the representation game well, having a mainly female cast with a black and asian characters and the only male on board being established gay and jewish. However this view fails to point out the fact that we only ever see William Kaplan as portrayed as jewish. Any associations to religion with Billy Maximoff, who appears to be a completely different character, are to witchcraft adjacent religions such as wiccan and paganism. This paired with the fact that by extension of his mother’s erased romani identity, his was erased as well, it’s not looking good for him. Fortunately there’s still hope for his brother. 

Now as much as a good example as the Maimoff family is, there are many others. Such as, America Chavez. Now my knowledge on the comic book character is limited due to the fact that simply haven’t gotten there yet, however I know quite a bit about her appearance in Marvel Rising, a series of short films focusing on new jersey hero’s such as Ms. Marvel or Inferno. And in such she was displayed as a dark skinned Spanish aligned queer woman working a job that was barely paying for her schooling. And in multiverse of madness, she’s practically the definition of white washing. Not to mention the down play of her character’s strengths and sass. Everything that makes America, America is taken away. It’s one thing to play down what makes a character a minority but that alongside with the down play of her characterization makes her into a weak link in the very weak chain that is multiverse of madness.

Now another great instance would be Loki, who in comics is gender-fluid and pansexual. In the movies however is treated solely as male and straight. In an attempt to give him a love interest the writers posed the question, “What if Loki was a woman?” However if they were simply comic accurate, there would be no alternative female version of Loki, because sometimes he is she. Loki is the epitome of a shapeshifter who’s gender-fluid. In fact they are the first that comes to mind when asked to think of the trope- simply because it’s done so well. Loki is meant to be a character who simply is, and is unapologetic for who they are good or bad, male or female, unfortunately the MCU gave us a bratty theater kid and called it a day.

Now all of this is well and good- but the final straw would be the Hulk. In comics the Hulk, or Bruce Banner has an incredibly tragic backstory. He is a demonstration of how at times the greatest danger to a child, is the one in their own home. Bruce was abused by his father as a child which eventually led to him forming dissociative identity disorder. The alter to Bruce being Hulk an angry and out of control monster, whom is eventually given its own form different from Banner in a very Jekyll and Hyde fashion. The movies however completely ignore this idea even to such an extent that a character tells him roughly“I control my anger infinitely more than you do” almost as though it were a competition as to who has suffered more. Bruce Banner’s trauma was downplayed so parents would take their children to see his movies.

To me this is a very personal essay. I want to love the MCU as blindly as I did as a child. But I have found that the more source material I read. That harder that becomes. A character in Daredevil once said roughly ‘To love something is to forget what you don’t like about it.’ If that be true then I no longer hold this same love. I fortunately believe in a different idea, that love is something that people love to think is inherently blind. But in reality, the most complex loves are the wary ones. I love the Marvel Cinematic Universe, however I grow more and more wary of the cinematic universe as I grow more and more in love with the comics.

I think we all knew something was up with Roger Rogers. I still like him well enough but he HAS to be a spy. You remember what he said in that canister room? That’s the kinda thing that undercover spies say. Whether or not he’s truly a good dude is beyond me. And how else could the key have gone missing?

She's from the empire, she was too young to partake in eo4. But since the timeskip from eo4 to EMD+EMD2 to nexus she has become a research cadet for either the midgard library or the imperial army. Her goal is to gather intel on dangerous monsters, people, or situations... and to neutralize them.

She goes to Maginia to... urgh... let's just say gather more details on what the hell Hana did in the ending of OoS bc Hana got herself into massive trouble with most zodiac organizations.

SO much trouble, Rozelia's first objective was to "eliminate" Hana. Fortunately, Hana had a bodyguard (that she resented until she dealt with Roze), and Lance + Sky knew Rozelia enough to convince her to stand down. Lance worked with her in the EMD series. Sky is her superior in the ranks.

Roze is probably 21-23. Younger than Snowwie but older than Hana. Overly obedient/formal girl scout who wants to do her best. Calls everyone sir or ma'am. Unless you're her age, she feels the need to take the lead w/people her age... which causes some conflict until she eventually sees their merits too....

She's incredibly smart, but dumb at the same time. If she's there to investigate she usually knows what's going on but gets too invested in the SOMETHING to do her job properly.... 😭

"kokoko, bad grass can't die that easily. So don't worry, MC-han." He chuckle as he close the sliding door behind him. He seat in front of you and give you, your phone back.

"I see.. " you nodded as you sigh in relief. "Thank you!" You take your phone back and saw worried chat of Aira.

"... O-oh.. sorry I chatted far too long with my friend..." You quickly mumble an apology as you look at kohaku who's staring at you with a soft smile on his face.

"it's fine, MC-han. Ya seems enjoy it, seeing ya smile makes me think your friend most be very interesting person." He says with a wave of his hand about the issue. Not being a problem to him at all.

"... Haku-tan..." You thought about the issue between you two and the so called traditions his family have. "I'm not some sue character or something. But you should tell me if you dislike the idea of your tradition. I don't want to intangle you in the web of trouble I called my life. You two seat in silent as if enjoying such silent moment of serendipity.

Creating an image of a handsome young man who would offer his crystalized heart for a stranger he barely know yet seeing pastel pink heart of adoration in his heart crystalized, you watch in worry and amazement.

I laughed at this part. I didn't think Disney was capable of making that joke.

I’ve seen the first two episodes of the Monsters inc show and despite some of their poor creative decisions and cheap moments I’d say it’s a decent cartoon on its own merits and fun as a continuation of the original movie even if it’s not worth paying for Disney+ (which I don’t ;) ), here are opinions on some new monster characters, which I might expand on as a Halloween thing later:

“Tylor” got NONE of his cute mollusk mom’s good looks and his personality is as drab as his design but I like him as a character anyway and I feel bad for him because the plot is that his middle-class family saved up for him to complete Scaring College, but he graduates and he gets hired by Monsters Inc like THE DAY after the movie rendered scaring obsolete. That is actually the kind of question the movie left me pondering the first time.

He gets shunted off to work for the repair/engineering team, who are “weird losers” working out of the basement. All of them are reasonably fun characters and better monster designs:

I don’t remember her name but this monster girl is likable despite resembling a fusion of every McDonald’s mascot. She’s really awkward and overbearingly talkative. She remembers Tylor from college as if they were good friends but he doesn’t remember her at all, and she dropped out but now they both have the same job lol

I do remember this one’s name, it’s Duncan, Duncan has almost the exact same personality as Randall did and similarly hates the main guy, but it’s funnier because he aims so much lower. Duncan wants to be in charge of the maintenance crew and sees Tylor as a threat despite Tylor not wanting to be there at all. Duncan’s pet hamster thing was also clearly made by remixing Mike’s CG assets.

I don’t remember this one’s name but he’s the middle aged maintenance boss and despite having a completely different voice, his personality and his speech patterns make me think he was intended to be voiced by Dana Snyder somehow.

He does not have appropriate boundaries. He should actually probably be written up or fired for this bit.

The small Waternoose looking repairwoman is great, three different times in the first two episodes she casually reminisces about how another, different coworker died horribly in a freak accident, I don’t know if that keeps being a running gag or not.

Sadly the best monster in the team leaves midway through the second episode, he can only speak in raspberry noises and none of them know his real name but he makes them banana bread every day, so they call him banana bread.

On the upside the reason Banana Bread quits is that the naga snail businesswoman from the movie (Flint?) takes him aside off screen and the next time we see them she’s promoted him. She says it’s because he’s a genius at comedy but I think we all know what’s up with that look

Another weird cheap decision though: since Roz in the movie turned out to be a government agent, she gets replaced at Monsters Inc. by her sister Roze who is exactly the same with pink hair and no glasses. If they wanted to keep using Roz, I don’t see why they couldn’t have just had her come by as like a government inspector anyway? It’d make sense for her to continue keeping tabs on the company right? Then you’d have the comedy of Mike and Sully still having to impress her. Now it makes no sense that they’re scared of “Roze” when they are technically her bosses.

Mindy Kaling Joins the Cast of Monsters At Work on Disney+ Including First Look Images

One of the first original series announced for Disney+ was “Monsters At Work”, which takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer, until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in.

Today, Entertainment Weekly has released the first look at some new images of the new characters from the series:

The multitalented Mindy Kaling—who voiced Disgust in Inside Out has joined the hilarious cast of Disney+’s highly anticipated animated series Monsters At Work. Kaling will voice the character Val Little, who is an enthusiastic member of the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (aka MIFT). Additionally, Bonnie Hunt will reprise her role as Ms. Flint. Formerly in charge of training new Scarers at Monsters, Inc., Ms. Flint now manages the department responsible for recruiting and training the funniest monsters to become Jokesters. Monsters At Work will begin streaming on Friday, July 2, exclusively on Disney+.

Ben Feldman voices the lead character Tylor Tuskmon in the series, which will introduce new monsters alongside returning favorites—including Mike Wazowski and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan, who will again be voiced by Disney Legends Billy Crystal and John Goodman. Starring alongside Feldman and Kaling as part of the MIFT crew are Henry Winkler, who voices Fritz, the scatterbrained boss; Lucas Neff, who voices Duncan, an opportunistic plumber; and Alanna Ubach, who voices Cutter, the officious rule follower.

In addition to Crystal, Goodman, and Hunt, returning voice actors from the beloved film franchise include John Ratzenberger as Yeti and Tylor’s dad, Bernard; Jennifer Tilly as Celia Mae; and Bob Peterson as Roze, the twin sister of his original Monsters, Inc. character, Roz. Voicing additional new characters are Stephen Stanton as Smitty and Needleman, the bumbling custodial team at Monsters, Inc., and Aisha Tyler as Tylor’s mom, Millie Tuskmon.

Produced by Disney Television Animation, the series was developed and is executive produced by Disney animation veteran Bobs Gannaway. 

It is produced by Academy Award-nominated producer Sean Lurie. Kat Good and Steve Anderson are supervising directors. The late Rob Gibbs (Monsters, Inc.) served as director on some earlier episodes.

Monsters At Work, teoría. La verdad de Randall, la carta, el Extractor de Risas y el traidor.

 La teoría que estoy por contarles puede estar completa y absolutamente equivocada, o puede ser real a medias. No lo sé. Pero las ideas que les mostraré harán que nos planteemos, quizá por primera vez, si acaso realmente sabemos todo sobre los villanos de Monsters Inc. y sus planes.

Creo que hay una conspiración oculta que no ha sido revelada, de eso hablaré en esta teoría.

¿Quiénes son los antagonistas en la película original?

Era Randall, por supuesto, el villano más prominente e intimidante; estaba también Fungus quien sólo era el achichincle que temblaba de miedo ante las ordenes de Randall. Y, por supuesto, el Señor Waternoose, presidente de Monsters Incorporated, y la mente maestra detrás del malvado plan de secuestrar niños y extraer sus gritos con una diabólica máquina.

Pero últimamente me he estado preguntando... ¿Era todo plan de Waternoose? ¿lo era realmente?

 Y más importante aún ¿De verdad sólo estos tres sabían sobre el Extractor de Gritos o... había alguien más involucrado?

Hoy todo todo el mundo sabe la verdad sobre el Hombre de las Nieves, o como él prefiere ser llamado, Adorable. 

Cuando Monsters University salió en 2013, todos quedamos asombrados y con algo de gracia al ver un cameo de Adorable.

Resultaba que él trabajó en mensajería con Mike y Sulley, ellos se conocían desde antes. Y al fin un gran enigma parecía haberse resuelto, la razón de su destierro.

Adorable dijo lo siguiente:

“Les advierto que manipular sobres es un crimen que puede llevarlos al destierro”

He ahí la respuesta; Adorable revisó correo ajeno y por eso fue su destierro. Una respuesta que todos nosotros aceptamos por años sin rechistar.

Sin embargo esa no era toda la verdad.

En el episodio 7 de Monsters at Work, Adorable vuelve y se retoma la idea de que fue desterrado por manipular el correo; pero esta vez se dan los detalles, todo es revelado. 

Val, después de investigar lo sucedido, dice lo siguiente:

“Vio una carta de Waternoose sobre sus planes para una máquina que extraería gritos de los niños”

“Después de eso, Waternoose lo expulsó de por vida”

Adorable había visto una carta que hablaba de los planes de Waternoose. Él sabía del Extractor de Gritos.

Y esta revelación nos golpeó fuerte como una bomba y ahora todo tenía sentido.

Pues claro, la puerta para expulsión que utilizó Waternoose para deshacerse de Mike y Sulley era su predilecta para eliminar a quienes se interpongan en su camino.

Menos mal, todos quedamos satisfechos al saber que al final Adorable obtuvo la justicia que merecía. Se anuló su expulsión, obtuvo un nuevo trabajo en la empresa y fue reconocido por sus acciones. 

Aunque esta historia de Adorable ya tenga su feliz resolución, se abren más posibilidades.

¿Una carta que hablaba del Extractor de Gritos?

Pasemos a lo que nos concierne. 

Val obtuvo la información sobre Adorable de parte de Roze, hermana de la otra Roz, la número 001 líder de la A.D.N, o por sus siglas originales en inglés, la C.D.A.

En su tiempo me pregunté cómo es que la C.D.A sabía que algo turbio ocurría en Monsters Incorporated. Roz estuvo dos años y medio trabajando encubierta en la empresa, ¿pero cómo se enteró que algo malo se estaba gestando en primer lugar, siendo los planes de Waternoose alto secreto? Hoy lo sabemos por fin, la respuesta nos la da indirectamente la serie Monsters at Work.

Fue Adorable quien filtró la información, quien al enterarse de todo sobre el Extractor de Gritos, corrió y avisó a la C.D.A antes de que Waternoose o Randall lo capturaran y expulsaran. 

Hay algo importante qué señalar aquí, y es que la carta no estaba firmada.

Dos años y medio estuvo Roz trabajando en secreto y no supo que todo era plan de Waternoose hasta el final. Así que aunque Adorable proporcionó información de la máquina, en ese momento él no sabía quién estaba detrás de todo.

¿Pero no es un poco... ustedes saben, estúpido? Enviarse una carta, quiero decir.

Los que sabían de la máquina, recalco, eran los villanos de la primera película: Waternoose, Randall y Fungus. Todos asumen que Waternoose y Randall se mandaban cartas entre sí acerca de sus planes ¿pero por qué demonios si trabajan en el mismo lugar? Fácil podían conversar en secreto después o durante el trabajo. Y si fuera Fungus quien en su torpeza envió la carta, al ser él sólo un peón lo hubieran expulsado junto a Adorable.

Además, como vemos en Monsters at Work, cuando se envían mensajes a otros empleados dentro de la empresa, se utiliza un sistema de tubos neumáticos, cuya sofisticada red de tubos conecta cada rincón dentro de Monsters Incorporated.

Para enviarse una carta el uno al otro, probablemente utilizarían estos tubos neumáticos, por lo tanto la carta nunca llegaría a mensajería ni a las manos de Adorable.

Esta incógnita provocó que últimamente me pregunte ¿hay algo de lo que nos estamos perdiendo? ¿Hay información que nosotros no sabemos? 

Aún así, quien envió esta carta fue uno de estos tres villanos, y la carta sí pasó por mensajería.

He aquí el truco; no la enviaron para alguien dentro de la empresa, la carta iba dirigida a alguien de afuera.

Antes de continuar, les diré que la crisis energética en Monstruópolis es algo que lleva ya años. Al final de Monsters University, en el casillero de Mike podemos alcanzar a ver una nota de periódico cuyo titular dice “Niños modernos más difíciles de asustar”. 

Esta nota pertenece al primer día de Mike y Sulley como asustadores, y no sabemos cuántos años son antes de la historia de la película original, pero aquí ambos se ven aún bastante jóvenes. Así que el problema de energía ha sucedido por varios años. 

A lo que quiero llegar es que el problema de la energía y que los asustadores ya no son suficientes para cumplir la demanda de gritos es algo con lo que no sólo Monsters Inc. ha tenido que lidiar, es un problema que repercute a todo su mundo, y por obviedad a otras compañías que producen energía.

¿Qué otras compañías que están dentro del negocio de producir energía conocemos?

Pues bien, están Fear Corporation y Scream Industries.

Nos concentraremos en Fear Co., puesto que la serie ya lo mencionó brevemente.

Pero antes de hablar de Fear Co. debo hablar de Randall.

Creo que Randall envió la carta, no Waternoose. Creo que Randall enviaba cartas a otras compañías acerca del Extractor de Gritos, precisamente las enviaba a Fear Co. Pero ¿cómo y por qué?

Que Waternoose estuviera consciente de las acciones de Randall o si Randall actuó por su cuenta es algo que yo no sé. Así como no sé si Waternoose también participó en la expulsión de Adorable o si todo lo hizo Randall en secreto. 

El caso es que teorizo que Randall fue quien escribió la carta, no Waternoose como todos los personajes supusieron; recuerden que la carta no estaba firmada y por eso la C.D.A no sabía quiénes estaban involucrados. 

¿Y por qué Randall tomaría estas acciones?, se preguntarán ¿Por qué compartir información con la competencia, algo que Waternoose no aprobaría?

Regreso a la pregunta que hice al principio: ¿Era todo plan de Waternoose?

Bien, veamos qué dijo Randall cuando tenía atrapado a Mike en la película original:

“Voy a revolucionar la industria del susto, y cuando lo haga hasta el gran James P. Sullivan será mi empleado”

Dijo que él revolucionaría la industria del susto, él.

¿Y qué pensaba Waternoose sobre esto realmente?

Una interesante discusión entre Waternoose y Randall se llevó a cabo mientras tenían secuestrada a Boo. Aquí se ve la postura de Waternoose ante las complicaciones y sacrificios que conllevan este malvado plan:

“No debí confiarte esto. Por ti expulsé al mejor asustador”

“Con esta máquina no necesita asustadores. Además Sullivan se lo merecía”

“¡Sullivan hacía lo que tú nunca podrás!”

En esta conversación se deja ver que Waternoose no está satisfecho con los resultados de Randall respecto al plan. Pero yo también veo que en el fondo sigue aferrado a la idea tradicional de obtener gritos mediante los asustadores. Por otro lado, es Randall quien está totalmente a bordo con esta idea de la máquina.

Ahora, en una parte en la película Waternoose menciona que haría cualquier cosa por salvar su compañía:

“James, la compañía ha pertenecido a mi familia tres generaciones, haría cualquier cosa para evitar que se hunda”

“Cualquier cosa” debe incluir seguir los planes de un empleado desquiciado que un día se acercó y ofreció una nueva solución: secuestrar niños.

Mi teoría dice que, puede que Waternoose haya sido el jefe, pero Randall fue quien llegó con la idea del Extractor de Gritos. Todo fue plan de Randall.

Así que quizá fue Randall quien vio a Waternoose como un simple escalón para alcanzar su gran revolución y no lo contrario. 

Monsters Incorporated sólo era el inicio, la primera compañía en hacer pruebas con esta máquina, una pequeña parte del gran esquema para implementar este método revolucionario en todo el mundo de los monstruos.

Esperen, esperen. Hay más.

¿Recuerdan que dije que Randall enviaba cartas a otras compañías sobre el Extractor de Gritos?

¿Y si les dijera que hay más de una máquina?

Cuando Sulley desconectó la máquina y Randall creyó que estaba fallando, mandó a Fungus a arreglarla. Fungus dijo lo siguiente:

“...Siempre pasa con este modelo 3250, es un problema de diseño”

Sí, es seguro que habla de una de las partes de la máquina, pero queda claro que Fungus sabe manipular la máquina, al menos tiene una idea. ¿Habrá ayudado a construirla? ¿tiene experiencia con los fallos en este tipo de máquinas o sabe que estas máquinas tienden a fallar?

Teorizo que se deben estar construyendo o hay ya más Extractores de Gritos.

Ahora sí, hablemos de Fear Co. Les dije anteriormente que esta compañía es quien recibía la información de la máquina de parte de Randall mediante cartas. Pienso que si hay otro Extractor de Gritos por ahí, Fear Co. la tiene.

¿Y por qué Fear Co.?

Simple, es porque Randall tiene contactos ahí.

Oh, sí. Johnny Worthington entró a Fear Co.

Sí, ese monstruo antagonista de Monsters University, líder de los Roar Omega Roar, fraternidad a la que se unió Randall en sus días de universidad.

En resumen, mi teoría dice que Randall se mantenía en contacto con gente en Fear. Co entre ellos Worthington a quien ya conocía de la universidad. La carta que descubrió Adorable era de Randall para Johnny Worthington en Fear Co. Randall fue quien le dio la idea a Waternoose del Extractor de Gritos, es probable que Randall la diseñara.

Y esa es la teoría. Randall era en realidad la verdadera mente maestra tras de todo. Y probablemente esto no haya acabado, probablemente haya más Extractores de Gritos en camino en otras compañías gracias a la información que proporcionó Randall.

Pero aún no termino.

No, no. Esto está por ponerse todavía mejor.

Randall fue desterrado con los humanos. Waternoose está en prisión. ¿Qué sigue ahora?

Bien, pues a Fungus lo dejaron libre, seguro porque sabían que Randall lo amenazaba para estar de su lado. 

Pero, oh pequeña sabandija, siempre hablando de más, o quizá sea coincidencia; pero durante el episodio 7 de Monsters at Work, Celia pidió sugerencias para generar más energía y Fungus hizo la siguiente broma:

¿Qué tal un Extractor de Risas?

Sí, un chiste de mal gusto de parte de él. Pero... ¿de verdad lo dijo en broma o lo dijo en serio?

Sí, es lo que están pensando. Un Extractor de Risas está en desarrollo.

No, no lo estoy diciendo a la ching*da. Y no, claro que no, no es de Fungus del quien deberíamos preocuparnos.

Chicos, hay un traidor.

Verán, hace no mucho el fandom descubrió una pista gigante y muy alarmante en el episodio 9. 

La pista se encuentra en nada menos que en las instalaciones de MIFT, 

detrás del escritorio de Duncan, 

debajo de la jaula de Roto.

Un archivero cuyas etiquetas anuncian lo siguiente:

¡Extractor de Gritos y Extractor de Risas!

¿Por qué alguien de MIFT guardaría archivos del Extractor de Gritos?

Gracias a la conversación de Val con Roze, nosotros sabemos que todos los archivos respecto a Waternoose, y por ente de la máquina, desaparecieron.

“Revisé los archivos, pero borraron todo lo que tenía Waternose”

Y aún así, alguien en MIFT conserva documentos referentes al Extractor de Gritos.

Lo que sucede aquí es claro; uno de los mecánicos de MIFT sabía de los planes de Waternoose y Randall, y los ayudaba. 

Sólo miren el resto de las etiquetas en el archivero.

Las etiquetas a la izquierda en el cajón superior dicen “Tunnel Access 102″ y “Transfert Piperline”.

 Tunnel Access 102 se traduciría como Túnel Acceso, se referiría a la entrada de un túnel.

¿Y qué túnel conocemos?

En la primera película, cuando Sulley y Boo buscaban a Mike, Boo encontró una entrada secreta que dirigía a un túnel.

La siguiente etiqueta que dice “Transfert Piperline”, significa algo así como Tuberías de Transferencia.

En el primer capítulo Val le habla brevemente a Tylor sobre estos tubos:

“Son tubos de transferencia, kilometros”

Hay millas y millas de estos tubos de vapor por todo el subterráneo de la fábrica.

No es de extrañar que, de hecho, al final del túnel en donde entraron Sulley y Boo había muchas, demasiadas, tuberías que echaban vapor. La ubicación del Extractor de Gritos estaba totalmente rodeada por estas tuberías.

Las siguientes etiquetas dicen “Control Station”, es decir Estación de Control, y “Sub-Access” Sub-Acceso. 

Siendo honesta, no sé a qué se refiere esto, pero adivinando yo diría que la Estación de Control podría tratarse de los controles del Extractor de Gritos, pero no lo puedo asegurar.

En otras palabras, un mecánico de MIFT ayudó a Waternoose y Randall al, posiblemente, proporcionarles un lugar para esconder la máquina y es bastante seguro que también ayudó a construirla.

Después de que Waternoose fuera arrestado, este mecánico evadió a la C.D.A y logró guardar información de la máquina. Nadie sabe de su participación en los planes de Waternoose y Randall. O quizá Fungus sepa pero no dirá.

Pero lo que inquieta todavía más es la etiqueta que dice Extractor de Risas.

La idea de un Extractor de Risas no podría de ninguna forma ser cosa ni de Waternoose ni mucho menos de Randall. Ellos se fueron antes de que se supiera que las risas funcionan también y mejor que los gritos para producir energía.

Así que esta es la cosa; ese mecánico que trabajaba con Waternoose y Randall ahora está trabajando por su cuenta, tratando de hacer el trabajo que ninguno de los villanos anteriores logró terminar.

La última etiqueta dice “Conduct Connections”, pero la verdad no tengo idea de qué significa en lo absoluto. En fin.

Entonces, ¿quién de los raritos de MIFT es el traidor?

Es Duncan.

El traidor es Duncan.

Digo, es claro. El archivero está en su área de trabajo, justo debajo de la jaula de Roto, su animal de apoyo.

En teoría, Duncan sería el mecánico que ayudó a la fabricación del Extractor de Gritos y ahora está desarrollando un Extractor de Risas.

Entonces su actitud antagónica no era por nada, supongo, pero nunca creí que pudiera llegar a ser perverso. 

Recapitulemos.

La crisis energética es algo que se ha dado por muchos años. Randall se acercó a Waternoose con una idea revolucionaría que cambiaría la industria del susto mediante una máquina que extraería los gritos de los niños. Waternoose haría lo que fuera por salvar a su compañía, por lo que lo escuchó y se volvieron socios, comenzando a llevar a cabo sus planes malvados.

Hace dos años y medio aproximadamente, Randall trató de enviar una carta a Fear Co. con los planes del Extractor, puesto que Randall no tiene lealtad a Monsters Incorporated, a él sólo le importa el poder y estatus que le daría su máquina. Pero esta carta fue interceptada por Adorable, quien, aunque no sabía quiénes eran los involucrados, rápidamente dio el aviso a la C.D.A. Entonces Randall lo descubrió y desterró.

Durante este periodo de tiempo, Waternoose y Randall reclutaron a Fungus y a Duncan. Fungus los siguió por miedo; las motivaciones de Duncan podrían ser otras. También en este momento, la número 001 de la C.D.A, Roz, se infiltró a Monsters Incorporated para investigar la denuncia que había hecho Adorable.

Duncan, siendo un hábil mecánico de MIFT, ayudó a la elaboración del Extractor de Gritos y les ayudó a tener un lugar donde ocultar su laboratorio secreto, lugar al que se accede mediante un túnel oculto. Fungus pudo haber asistido en esto también.

Después de que Randall fuera expulsado y Waternoose arrestado por la C.D.A, Duncan pudo librarse de la culpa porque nunca estuvo presente durante los sucesos en el accidente de la niña y lo que llevó a que Waternoose fuese descubierto. Fungus fue perdonado porque él trabajo con los malos bajo amenazas.

Ahora que Waternoose y Randall están fuera del juego, Duncan continúa con el trabajo que ellos dejaron atrás; esta vez creará un Extractor de Risas, el cual debe estar en un desarrollo muy temprano. Es posible que Fungus también sepa de estos planes.

Duncan es quien mueve los hilos ahora.

¿Pero por qué? ¿Para qué? Y más importante aún ¿será acaso leal a Randall o a Waternoose? ¿Ellos volverán? ¿Duncan hace esto por miedo a ellos? 

¿O todo esto es sólo una maquiavélica y retorcida estrategia para quedarse con el empleo de Fritz? 

¿Será eso lo que Waternoose y Randall le prometieron a Duncan?

Es bastante probable que la serie pronto descarte todo lo que he dicho, pero da igual, es sólo una teoría.
