One thing I like about young royals is getting to see teenagers actually having nice style. I am currently in high school and the way that the guys all dress very similar, sweatsuits, and sneakers, sagged skinny jeans. It’s just makes me think if they were in different environment how their wardrobe would change. They all act the same as well, either they’re hockey guys that all hangout together, or they’re wannabe gangsters that think they look cool but they just look weird doing little hand spasms that are supposed to be gang signs.

The girls aren’t better, they all wear Aritzia or Lululemon, which is all solid colour, no graphic clothing that is just so boring and doesn’t look very good when you’re wearing all one colour. Theres no individuality or personality. A lot of them are quite ditsy as well, overall annoying to deal with 30 hours a week.

I’m not saying that everyone dresses this way, there are a good few that dress the way they want to, and have quite good style in my opinion. So it’s nice to see that in yr they all dress nicely, and a lot of them are quite attractive people. I’m aware that in Sweden the baseline of what’s appropriate to wear in public is much higher than where I live, but it’s still nice to see well put together people everywhere you look. I’m not sure how big gang culture is in Sweden, but I can assume that the boys at Hillerska have and will probably never encounter a gangster because of the bubble they live in.

Steph doesn't usually go to galas, but she participates in the game nevertheless. If she wins, god help Bruce, because it's a gamble with her. He either ends up wearing a gorgeous outfit with eccentric and trend-setting accessories or literal checkered pyjamas. Worst yet, he has to say he picked it himself, since he can't directly blame Steph.

Oh really? Well, if it’s that easy to buy your affection then expect his wallet to be in your lap before you finish your sentence. 

Leona’s a prince who doesn’t even keep an eye on his wallet. (Seriously, he just tosses it at Ruggie and goes about with his day), so if you ever bring up some money problem, he’ll just toss his wallet at you and just not ask for it back. Plus, his royal blood is actually good for something, so putting you in the lap of luxury others can’t access is easy for him. 

Expect to be his pillow for a while though, he’s not a nice guy so you gotta pay him back somehow….

Have a jewelry store full of them with jewels so big, heavy and expensive they weigh a pound each! Want a new wardrobe. Et cetera, et cetera. 

Though you might learn about the fact he wants to have you fitted for some special jewelry for your wrists and ankles, but they’re solid gold and encrusted with rubies! That’s good enough for you, right?

You want to get your hair done, he has a hairstylist on speed dial that can turn straw-like hair into silk. You want designer clothes, all it takes is a phone call and you’ll be measured and fitted by the designers themselves. 

He might make a date out of all this with you, accompanying you on all these wonderful excursions.

Turns out the fae super hate greed. So even if Lilia doesn’t like it he’ll put up with it for the greater good, but if you plan on being difficult then you’ll be taught a wonderful lesson on selflessness. The Fae way. And that’s the least painless way. He’ll only let up on you, if one of his boys comes to him about him being too hard on you.

Tada! Peasant Aurora! Or... Briar Rose at this point.

Sleeping Beauty is set in the 14th century. Not only is it the origin for the original fairytale but Prince Phillip has a rather iconic line in the Disney film explicitly stating that it is the 14th century.

This outfit has a two layer dress. One is the actual dress and the other is a surcoat that isn't just fashionable for the time but also serves it's intended purpose of protecting the dress underneath. The 14th century is the beginning of more form-fitting dress tailoring, so details like the lacing on the sleeves and tighter fit are important for defining the era's fashion. She should be wearing an apron and a veil or wimple but it is artistic license? (And there are some historic evidence of loose hair illustrated in this time so if anyone could get away with it, it would be a peasant girl who has never met anyone outside of her caretakers?)

Either way, Aurora's movie palette really works for this kind of homespun outfit with nods to her royal (purple) heritage. I went the extra step as well and added ribbons in the colours of her future wardrobe.
