Myrida-11 and the Chronospinner twins

Aka, me thinking the funniest set up for an Omniverse crossover with Transformers: Animated would be for Kevin's car to be sent (probably via magic) to Detroit and turned into a cybertronion.

I was going to/want to do more iconic vehicles from the series (the Rustbucket, Kevin's orignal car, the Prot-Truck, the Tenn-Speed, etc) but drawing the timebikes' legs fried me. totally worth it though they look amzing :)

Some Random Tidbits:

Myrida-11 (pronounced mY-Ride-ah), is virtually indestructible and armed to the teeth due to the immense amount of upgrades installed into her by Kevin and Rook pre-spark. Though laid back, she is always ready for a brawl, no matter the opponent's ties.

The Chronospinners (them/he) are more on the mischievous side and love setting up traps. Like the jet twins, the two can combine, and this is the only way for them to access their spaceship mode as well as time powers. This does not happen often, however, as the two prefer their separate forms. Roto does not use contractions and tends to take things literally where as Omni picks up Earth slang rather quickly.

Their eyes, not shown, are a pale yellow like their headlights.

Hi Lyla!! I'm kind of a newish follower, and I think your art is truly stunning! I think I can speak for all of us when I say we can really tell you put so much love and work into your craft, and it inspires me every day with my own artwork! I was curious about your animations, do you prefer a specific type of method to work with? Do you ever work with rotoscoping? :o I've done a bit of roto myself, but I've never been able to get it as smooth as your animations. Hello!!! Sorry for the super late response on this, I didn't have access to certain files I needed as examples for this for a while 😅 Thank you so much for the very kind words!! 💛

I feel a little weird putting the reference footage in public since it wasn't meant to be seen by anyone other than me and my hair was still wet from the shower 😂 but you can see that it's very heavily referenced. I generally just sketch some keyframes from the footage, tracing a little here and there if the pose is awkward (like I traced the arms a good amount in this one), and then fill in the in-betweens slowly on my own without the reference footage while replaying the animation over and over with each new in-between added to watch for any janky bits.

You can see that the timing is very different between the reference and the animation, and part of that is because my original reference file got kinda messed up so it plays faster than it's supposed to lol 🙈 but also because I did my in-betweens separately and changed the timing a bunch.

“Abbey” , “Liquid Smooth” and “My Danish Sweetheart” by Mitski keep replaying in my head every time I reread your book for the second arc, so much so that I now play the Lush album on loop every time I want to go back to read your work. This makes me curious if there's certain songs/genre you think fits your Angel trilogy (or maybe just the first book?) I would love to hear them and immerse myself in them while reading them 💕💫💕💫

Hello! I'm glad!! I tend to worry that I might be weird or overstepping or not being kind enough when people message me, so thank you.

I love Mitski! I used to refuse to listen to her because i had a roommate who was obsessed but another friend showed me Mitski after I finished the first draft of ABM, and I was shocked by how good Lush was! I think Mitski makes a lot of ABM/Angels-Trilogy songs, and I've listened to her quite a bit during the making of A&M (I don't listen to music when physically writing so it's mostly when I'm brainstorming and fiddling with stuff).

Music questions are hard for me to answer!! I don't listen to a ton of music and it's mostly Latin cumbia, which doesn't match my books very much akalakjsd I'll say that the story of the trilogy as a whole came to me while listening to Sabor a Mí by Eydie Gormé . Labios Rotos by Zoé inspired quite a bit of A&M.

Dark Red and Mercury by Steve Lacy inspired some of ABM Lucifer and Michael, for sure.

MARINA's Scab and Plaster and Lana del Rey's Serial Killer, of course, also inspired Lucifer. St. Topez by Lana del Rey makes me think of Lucifer in A&M quite a bit.

Sorry if this music list is kind of all over the place!!

As for the angel question — I remember I answered this forever ago and I'm going to hunt for my answer because I'm curious, but I remember mentioning that I don't think Rosier likes music too much. He's a big fan of silence.

‘Mon of The Day (Video #1)

And we're your hosts for ‘Mon of the Day! Here on MOTD, we try to replicate the nostalgic feel of Professor Oak’s Pokemon Talk, by going over some of the Pokemon in Paldea for our very own treasure hunt! For our first episode ever, we’ll be taking a look at a Pokemon was recently given to me, and my first officially registered Pokemon!

[He emerged with a standard Poké Ball from his labcoat pocket.]

Quaxly, come on out!

[Het tosses it up, and in a flash of blue, a Quaxly appears. It’s a duckling-like Pokémon. It has a yellow beak and blue eyes. It has teal webbed feet and a large teal coif-like crest that covers its head.]

Quaxly! Quax, quax!

Hi baby! How’re you doing?

Quaxly! Quax, Xly, xly!

Awwww, who’s a cutie? You are, you are!

[Lochland briefly bends down to affectionately coddle the Duckling Pokémon. Rotom clears his throat impatiently.]

Lochland!

[The boy looks up and cringes, seemingly embarrassed.]

Ah, crap, right. Ahem! Recorded as the Duckling Pokemon, Quaxly is a Water-type, known for it’s keen coif, which is super smooth!

This is due to the rich, moist cream that the hair can hold, bzzt! If dry, not only does Quaxly get upset, but the coif can become extremely spiky and unkempt!

[Lochland picks up Quaxly, affectionately smoothing it’s hair. Quaxly leans into his touch.]

Quaxly is a tidy Pokemon, and hates getting dirty, explaining this behavior. In battles, it uses it’s swift speed to kick its foes repeatedly. It’s legs also allow it to swim through rough or even fast flowing currents, making it one of it’s most valuable assets!

Quaxly, like my trainer, however is prone to overthinking. To Quaxly trainers, even those with a brave or sassy ones, be sure to give them reassurance that you endlessly love and support them, bzzt! Pokemon have feelings too!

[Lochland flinches, a grimace on his face.His Quaxly nudges him in a comforting way.]

[Lochland coughs, regaining his composure.]

Ahem! Fun fact: Quaxly aren’t native to Paldea! They’re, apparently, from a foreign lands a long time ago. And yet, they’ve been spotted and researched in Paldea the most…so…

[The Duckling Pokémon tilts its head, vocalizing something. Roto sighs.]

Bzzt! Pave, that doesn’t count…that ranch was still in Paldea…

[Lochland clasps his hands together.]

Anyhow! Before we sign off, I wanna make a small note about Quaxly and Aqua Jet! Using Water Gun like a foundation and allowing Quaxly to twist into it using it’s flexibilty, you can techinally pull off a Aqua Jet! Observe!

Wait for it….

Quax….ly!

Ta-da! Your very own pre-Aqua Jet! Makes the process of learning it a bit easier!

[An excited gleam reaches Lochland’s face, his hands frequently twisting around. He seems to stumble over his words.]

The control W-Water-types have on their own water allows them to pressurize it, and con-contor-contort it! Th-The ability this would have on allowing a fountain-like Water Gun to, uh, to surround the spinning Pokémon to merge with the water, and then use that water and built up momentum to…ah!

[He winces, smiling apologetically. His hands stop twisting.]

Introducing my MonsterSona, Ethan Stalkz!

I won't ramble on too much so have some fun facts about him:

He's FtM! He came out during University after being inspired by Mike and the OK group not being afraid of being themselves during the Scare Games.

That being said, he knows Mike & Sulley! Met them during University and used to pick on Sulley while he was a part of ROR. After switching to OK though, he started crushing on Sulley. That is, until he got expelled and they went 10 years without contact, woops. [Rumor has it that now that they've reunited at Monsters INC, Ethan's crush has came back tenfold]

He works at Monsters INC in the MIFT department! His best pal to chat nonstop with is Val, though Tylor becomes a close 2nd. Ethan loooves Roto, but Roto doesn't like him LOL

Usually wears his fins in a ponytail so they're not in the way when he works, but rarely he'll let them down!

The Shellos argument sounds perfectly logical! They are in fact, related to slugs! Falinks and Durant do also travel in pairs or lines! Durant travel to protect themselves from Heatmor predators, while Falinks follow the leader, or ‘brass’ as a guide! Wonder if Falinks are fully sentient or it’s just the leader and the ones in the back mimic it, bzzt…

Falinks also learn First Impression, if I’m correct. I’m sure if you do this…Terralization thing me and my trainer have heard about, you can make them Bug-type in a way, bzzt!

(Sorry for talking your ear off, bzzt! My trainer and I both enjoy the biology of Pokemon very much!)

I may have caught non-bug Pokémon... BUT THERE'S A GOOD EXPLANATION I SWEAR

They're just for emotional support, and they're all kinda like bugs in a sense... Except Koraidon, that guy's just a big lizard and there's no denying it.

according to roto i tend to type like i'm making notes which obviously isn't how i talk so yea

i typically talk in a ramble-y manner and it said that's part of my "charm" so i should keep some of my rambling in my posts and messages which i don't understand but compared to it i've lived under a rock when it comes to interacting with people so yea i guess
