(thinking a lot about bens relationship with his human body. i like uaf trying to assert that ben was still strong and capable w out the watch, but i think it loses an aspect of his character that was always important, that being ben finding himself inadequate and weak in his human form and overusing the watch to escape it. i think thats why the feedback arc hit so hard, bens hatred of himself and his past over something that was never his fault, all stemming from his hatred of his human body. i personally interpret the feedback arc as less of a drug addiction metaphor [which if it is was pretty shittily written] and more of becoming consumed by what youre not. that theme with ben is most of the reason i relate to him and project on to him as a fellow transexual)

What do Gwen and Kevin get up to while Ben is hanging out with the HoM gang?

Mmm, I guess what are they usually up to whenever they are not with Ben? xD

Gwen has a pretty rich academic (and sorta) social life (at least compared to Ben lol), not to mention the whole magical and alien communities. Kevin, due to his less stellar (? less socially acceptable lol) aquintances and activities, has a lot of his own stuff to do.

It's actually one of the things I really enjoyed being canon in both UA and Omniverse.

Gwen was shown as making an attempt to still have social life (even if its like a couple of human friends), despite her other extra EXTRA activities. It might be an overachieving aspect of her personality, but she still tries to make time for other friends and interests. In Omniverse, she made a choice to concentrate on her studies and life more, than just having all of it revolve around Plumbers/Team 10, which is a decision I actually enjoy narratively. I think it really fits her personality.

Of course, I prefer to headcanon that she mellowed out a little with her overachieving as years led up to HoM timeline.

Kevin is a bit more complicated, because of... whatever the hell happened to him in Omniverse, lol. I'm not gonna lie, I deliberately chose not to pay much attention to that. xD But I can tell you that I was not the biggest fan of him following Gwen when she left. At least not the way he did? But I do enjoy the idea that Kevin also put some distance between Plumbers/Alien stuff, because let's face it - he doesn't always have good time on Team 10 (how many times that kid turned evil? like jesus give him a break). I like to think that older Kevin left not just to follow Gwen blindly, but he followed her because she made him realize that he has a choice to just enjoy a calmer life a little more.

So, I guess, they are enjoying their young adult lives, when they are not with Ben or having Plumber missions and etc? haha... But besides that I don't have many ideas or what they are up to. Tho on a side note, while Im still undecided about keeping their ship canon (I do lean more to keeping it), I still headcanon them sharing a nice cozy apartment. ;) i dunno I just want them to be close and cozy.

(also their designs are not final, but i just wanted to doodle a faint idea of how they look ;3)

Team Tennyson fashion styles (2/2)- Gwen + Kevin 💙💜

Gwen's fashion is eclectic, colorful and full of whimsical elements, her style is heavily based off of whimsigoth fashion, I like to headcanon my Gwen as using fashion as a way of self expression, hence the colors, patterns and accessories I gave her. I decided to give her anodite form some horns as well as hoofs just for the fun of it tbh

For Kevin's fashion I went full on goth with a sprinkle of punk, he's very alt and probably he's the one that taught Gwen how to do makeup lmao, he does wear face paint on occasion, and he settles for some eyeshadow and eyeliner for more casual days, he has no fear to experiment with his style, mixing patterns and layers into his outfit (also yes, those are a siouxie soux and a rob zombie sweaters)
