Was reflecting on ROTDS and Virgil's betrayal, and it hit me. I feel like Virgil is Judas.

For those who don't know, in the Bible, Judas is one of the disciples who betrays Jesus and lets the Pharisees capture him, ultimately leading to the crucifixion.

We all know that rotds is filled with religious metaphors, and I have a feeling Virgil is another, as he, a friend, betrays the main heros, and ushers in the main chaos.

Even though it’s summery-style, still useful for back to school or in general. Nothing beats a cute little snake, or multiple snakes. 🐍 they��re so hard to find something nice to wear as, but so adorable. They just make a cute theme, and fangs out they’re all around fiery fierce but small. Plus, they’re easy to make into pretty much any cool items that are easy enough for them to fit in. Some of them anyway.

Ronodin symbolism stuff

I kinda just thought of these at 3am like a month ago so take this with a grain of salt but there are a SCARY amount parallels between Ronodin and Lucifer or Satan or whatever u wanna call him. For starters they both held high positions before going dark, Lucifer being an archangel and Ronodin leading the Astrids. Descending into darkness due to their pride is another thing they both have in common, Ronodin thought he knew what was better for the fairy kingdom than the fairy king and queen because he destroyed the rocheblott despite being told not to. Lucifer believed he knew better than god as well and felt that he should be worshipped instead. It’s also said that before going dark Ronodin wasn’t content with the fairy realm and found his purity limiting which is similar to what Lucifer thought. Ronodin also “betrayed the virtues that made him a unicorn” according to Lizelle which is almost exactly what Lucifer did when he turned prideful and iniquitous in the Bible, angels are supposed to be free of sin so by possessing one of the cardinal sins (pride) he was going against what made him an angel. Anyways sorry for all the yap 😭 I’ve had this theory cooking inside my brain for a while but I like didn’t feel like typing it out. There’s some things that don’t rlly add up and ofc feel free to correct me on anything if I made a mistake on any Ronodin or Bible lore.

Reasons Why The Fairy King's Disappearance/Sacrifice Makes No Sense:

It's already been discussed, but the whole Astrid thing? Like they didn't do anything... It wasn't a failure/negligence on their part

Bracken's whole if I knew he wasn't dead, I would have tried to rescue him (and probably got captured, just sayin)! Like...how did you know he was dead? The last time you saw him he was alive and being kept as a trophy???

Also the fact that they were shocked he was being kept as a trophy. Gorgrog literally told you that's what he was doing

Bracken also implied that he discovered Ronodin was working with the demons, which lead to the King getting taken during the MOTPI fight. But that's not what happened during the flashbacks in ROTDS. And if it was, Bracken's "discovery" seems a little obvious

They also can't find his horns? This one's a little more understandable, but you'd feel like he'd either have left them when he was taken or they were somewhere in Zzyzx, where you are now

I just feel like the last book was covered in plot holes and wrecked canon. It doesn't make a lot of sense. Neither does Ronodin's turn to evil, like he doesn't really do anything evil??? I'd love to know how he became evil, and not just dark, which are supposed to be separate, but in the last book...? I really missed that.
