My head canon/fan version thing for Jonathan Crane (mostly based upon BTAS Scarecrow but definitely not him exclusively)

He owns an old rotary phone, an old radio, and 100% records his notes on a cassette tape player/recorder thing (idk what they are called, I just know I got one).
Fucking loves thrift stores
Easy fabric and clothes and all that for making his costumes, you can find old books (he also loves libraries in extension, but at thrift stores books are cheap [atleast in my experience]) you can find old tech like old fasion sewing machines, typewriters, rotary phones, cassettes, records, all that jazz.
Has way too many skills and hobbies to keep balanced.

He had to quit smoking when he became a professor, but as soon as he lost his job, he picked up smoking again.

Rotaries Return to Donner Pass por Jake Miille Photography Por Flickr: During a historic winter, which would see over 700” of snowfall along Donner Pass, Union Pacific called upon their mighty rotary snow plows to keep the railroad open. These impressive machines would work for several days, clearing massive amounts of snow away from the tracks. According to the Union Pacific Railroad, the rotary snow plow can cut a width of 16.5’ through the snow. The rotary uses large blades to carve through the snow and launch it over 100’ away from the tracks. This is the railroad’s final defense against Mother Nature. On the morning of March 6th, 2023, SPMW 207 departed eastward along the Donner Pass Route. The 207 and crew were tasked with clearing heavy snow between Fulda and Truckee. Due to a series of delays, the 207 didn’t arrive at Cisco until dusk. This would cap off a long, but memorable day along the Donner Pass Route. Story behind the image is coming soon. In this shot, SPMW 207 exits Tunnel 38 at Cisco. An hour prior, Union Pacific’s spreaders had pushed snow onto the #2 track, in the path of the rotary. The heavy snow made for a slow trek towards Truckee but the SPMW 207 was ultimately successful. The railroad was clear and trains would run. Air-soluble pen inks disappear within a few hours and are ideal for fabrics that can’t be washed or dampened. Some air- and water-soluble pen manufacturers caution against exposing marked fabrics to sunlight or the heat of the iron because heat may set the ink permanently. Always test the pen on a scrap of the fabric before using it on your project. Pressing Tools Tailor’s Ham Resembling a ham, this pressing tool is used as a base or a mold when pressing curved or shaped seams. It’s available in several sizes and should be covered on one side in cotton and the other in wool. The ham’s curves are designed to mimic garment curves and are used to set the shape of collars, lapels, sleeve caps and more. Point Presser & Pounding Block The raised points of this wooden tool allow you to press deep into a corner without creasing the surrounding fabric. The base is used as a pounding block, or clapper, to flatten seams. Needle Board A flat, flexible board with a bed of short needles placed very close together, a velvet board or needle board is used for pressing napped fabrics, such as velvet and corduroy, without crushing the fabric’s pile. A lessexpensive, and less-effective, version of a needle board features a canvas backed fabric with a raised pile front that takes the place of the needles. Sewing Tools SewingMachine Needles Sewing needles are designed for the type of fabric, thread and stitches you’re using. A bodkin’s ball-point end comes in handy for turning fabric tubes right side out. Point Turner A point turner is a hand-held, pointed plastic tool designed to poke into tight corners. For crisp, sharp corners and points, use this tool to push out the corners of collars and cuffs before pressing. The opposite end is flat or rounded; use it to hold open seam allowances while pressing, so you don’t burn your fingers.Basting Tape Much faster than hand basting with needle and thread, use narrow, paper backed basting tape to hold zippers, bias tapes and trims in place while stitching. Fray Preventer A drop of this liquid on the cut edge of a woven fabric will bond the edges and prevent the fabric from raveling. Before using, test the product on a scrap of the actual fabric, or in an inconspicuous area of the project. Allow the test piece to dry thoroughly. Another day, another client. Granted it’d been quite a while since Yasuo had ran through his entire queue of ready and willing canvases, it was nice to really only have one client for the day. Wait-- he looked over his books with a double take. Just one? A brow cocks as he reads the name: Ezreal Hall. Nothing immediately coming to mind but a client was a client, after all-- even if they had booked him for his whole day.
Never the less, he’s quick to get to preparing his station in the bustling shop. He’s methodical in his process: disinfecting his client chair and table, individually sticking his ink caps down, wrapping his rotary machine, and finally shedding his gloves once he’s satisfied with everything in it’s proper place. Yasuo spins in his chair, a quick movement to grab hold of his sketchbook and pen to kill some time before fresh blood takes a seat in his chair.
And as he slowly becomes engrossed in his quick sketch, the sound of the front door being pried open is the only thing drawing him back to the rowdiness around him. Hazel eyes immediately catching glimpse of azure.
