it was indescribably pleasant, and she knew the feeling well - she always felt this way in Xeno's presence

so she immediately ran to the dungeons to find out who Evan suddenly fell in love with

she rushed into the boys' dormitory and saw Evan fighting with Barty

Barty was straddling Evan and just happened to punch him in the face, splitting his lip. Blood began to ooze down his face, covering Barty's fist.

Is it safe to say the ice cream van wouldn’t come an inch of a mile near the crouch manor. I just feel like Barty would be so much of a menace he’d terrorize the ice cream man. He’d traumatize clowns at kids birthday parties. The dentist is scared of him. I don’t know, something just tells me no amount of fear of his father could stop him from scaring the ever living shit out of everday adults. Like he creeps the fuck out of his primary school teachers. And if he was homeschooled he’s just gone through so many tutors because they all quit eventually. And the same goes for Evan, he was just an eerie unsettling kid and the adults around him couldn’t put their finger on what was off they just knew not to stand too close to that one. It was definitely not helped by the creepy twin thing as well whenever he was with Pandora.

He struggles a lot with existentialism. He feels like his life his totally meaningless no matter what he accomplishes and is searching the world for meaning. This is completely spurred on by his family because he wasn't raised to do much more than be rich but not in the same legacy way as the Blacks

He gets so excited to talk about his interests and if anybody brings up something he likes he starts talking insanely fast and tends to begin talking in circles and repeating things he's already said

He also has no idea how to talk without using his hands. Half of his communication comes from his gesturing

He had delayed speech growing up so Pandora used to almost translate for him when they were kids. She still does it sometimes and will interrupt him to finish his own thoughts. He gets annoyed but loves her too much to say anything

Pandora was the only person he would let do anything new to his hair, he didn't much like others touching it

Ace Evan is so so precious to me the way Barty accepts him completely. They're actually such a perfect fit though because Evan's sadism fits with Barty so well that he can toy and play with him in so many ways without it needing to be sexual

Evan loves Barty's body though in a study of human anatomy way and becomes such a voyeur because of it but only when Barty is involved

I'm a Ravenclaw Barty believer so I always believe he met him through Pandora. Pandora didn't introduce him though, Barty just tagged for so long that he was just part of the group and one day when he didn't, Evan was really sad and made sure he was invited to anything them and Reg or Dorcas did together

He and Reg did not get along at all at first. Regulus was shy but also pretty uptight living with him and it took a long time for them to loosen up around each other. Regulus befriending Pandora and Dorcas helped a lot and eventually the two of them got really close and were confidants for each other

Evan is the first one outside of the Snape Gang to care about Sev. The one to spend his time w him and get Dora and Sev to bond over potions and experiments.

The one to outwardly protect him, in front of everyone, from the bullies - without shame and second thoughts - the first time he saw it happening clearly in front of him. The one who saw the scared boy under the mask and just smiled gently. they’re not in love.. like it’s not about being in love with each other in that conventional romantic way and they’ve never wished that they weren’t twins. they love each other because they’re siblings, wires crossed and everything that makes them is because they’re twins. they’re not in love because they already love each oher and they don’t consider themselves a couple because they’re already twins

they actively try to make themselves less so they’ll only be considered whole together. unfortunately this means i have a not so secret anymore-munchausen by proxy au with them where they realise as they grow up they’re expected to not need each other anymore. no longer share a room, get their own flats, have their own lives, etc. so they start poisoning each other. just a little !!!!! so that they’ll be forced to need each other. so that their parents will have to resign themselves to the idea that their children will have to live together and take care of each other

there are always freaky twincest rumours going around about them but they’re never confirmed and neither of them are bothered by this. they dont care what people say or guess because they’ll never actually know. and even if they did know, they’d never know them. no one knows them like they know themselves or each other. obviously they do actively keep it a secret, and yes because they know incest is wrong, but also because it’s theirs. they wouldn’t want people to know even if it wasn’t taboo

^ and on this… incest isn’t unheard of in pureblood families, and maybe a few decades earlier siblings wouldve beeen allowed to get married, but the rosiers would never ever want that. they’re not a couple and they’re not in love and marriage would be about having to represent something. it would be something that belonged to pureblood culture, there would be expectations on pandora as a wife, on evan as man of the house, and they would no longer be equals. their bond would no longer belong to them and they would no longer belong to each other (<- i have another bartyrosiers monarchy au where their parents force the twins to get married for the throne and barty their trusty kings guard steals them away…🤍)

they belong to each other, love and want only each other (and sometimes barty), they have no interest in pursuing any other sort of relationship and if they ever did it would have to be together because they consider themselves one person. one mind and one heart and i’m you and you’re me type thing

they start exploring each other when they’re way too young, childlike curiosity to see where they’re different because they look the same but their bodies are different. its not necessarily sexual at first, literally just curiosity about their own and each others bodies

it’s when their friends start talking about ’woahh boys’ or ’woahhh girls’ that they start realising sort of. being different from other people. they’re not interested in either sex really because they have each other. no one will ever know them as intimately as they know each other. same mind same heart. they cant even begin to understand or fathom how anyone could ever have something even close to what they have with each other. why people would ever be interested in virtual strangers. i think they even maybe sort of pity other people for not having what they have with each other

regulus - idk i can see him writing poetry for fun (barty makes fun of him for it all the time). i saw someone once say that his handwriting is really neat because it's one of the few things he can control in his life. so do with that what you will :). reg loves to study, like he actually loves it. he'll spend most of his time in the library, often just looking up random topics once he's finished with the ones that are actually relevant to his schoolwork.

barty - i feel like he has really bad/messy handwriting, but can draw really well; he could be bored in class and sketch smth random, and evan (who is sitting beside him) is just like :o. he loves hugging his friends and is super clingy idc !!

evan - tallest of the friend group coz why not ?? he's the opposite of barty; evan's handwriting is so neat without even trying, but he can't draw for the life of him. he speaks french fluently, and it's his first language, so when he speaks english, he has the slightest french accent !!

pandora - loves putting butterfly clips in her hair !! like, you will never see this girl without fun clips in her hair. like regulus & evan, she speaks french, and its like their secret code that barty and dorcas can't understand lmao. embroiders her school uniform; you'll find stitches/patches (idk what they're called help) on her jackets, skirts, and even socks of roses (for evan), snakes (for barty & reg), and butterflies/flowers for her and dorcas <3

dorcas - kinda like barty, she likes to hold onto her friends, but more like hooking her arm through theirs in hallways, etc. dorcas is the person you go to if you have a problem or need to vent !! she gives the best advice. her hair is often in braids, and dorcas loves to put her hair in that half up, half down hairstyle or space buns. in the way that pandora loves butterflies, dorcas loves flowers. this girl knows all the scientific names for every type of flower; her and the skittles could be hanging out near the lake, and she'll see a flower and shout out fun facts about it. she doesn't even do it intentionally, she just has a collection of flower books so yeah !!

what's the chance of someone having twins at midnight on the 28th of february, on a leap year, so one of them is born on the 28th and the other on the 29th which means one of them gets birthdays like usual but the younger twin's birthday only (actually) comes around once every four years

or, perhaps even funnier, would be if it wasn't a leap year, so one was born on the 28th of february and the other was born on the 1st of march then their birthdays would be on consecutive days except for once every four years when they're separated by a day

on here to declare my personal hc that is so near and dear to my heart.

Regulus and the Rosier twins are each other's ride-or-die, a 3-in-1 package deal, and they are Henry Clerval, Victor Frankenstein, and Elizabeth Lavenza variants!! They've known each other since they were kids, THEY ARE IN-LAWS, Sirius hated it when they came over because the twins would kick him out of Regulus' room so they could hang out with him.

The three of them are freaks in their own way and that's kinda how they stay connected. They experienced their own versions of "unmonitored internet access as a kid", aka Evan getting his hands on dead animals too young and it altering his brain chemistry forever, Pandora experiencing the high of being god for like a hot minute as a 6-year-old kid, and Regulus reading books that an average kid under 10 should not have been reading.

There isn't a pinpoint moment where they meet, they've just always had each other around. Regulus is the twins' freaky bibliophilic, two-headed lamb that limps behind the twins on the verge of death every day and baaing every 2 hours so they think he's dead sometimes, and Evan and Pandora are the two ghosts haunting Regulus over his shoulders roasting the fuck out of whatever he's doing and tormenting him with happier times while handing out backhanded compliments as means of affection.

Regulus can get unhealthily codependent on them sometimes so he would just adjust his schedule every day to fit with them while Evan is laughing at him. They all go to each other first when something fucks up. They sleep in the same bed sometimes. They share clothes. When the twins hug Regulus it parallels a two-headed snake wrapping itself around Regulus' neck.

how do you think they all met? like obviously evan and pandora are our fav unhinged twins, and ev dates barty, but how do THEY meet? and how does regulus fit in? is he barty’s friend or pandora’s friend? and dorcas? is she in the group in your version of them?

to me the timeline goes

i. regulus & barty are peripheral childhood friends. their parents didn’t get along but they plastered together at pureblood events. to barty this was more of a casual fondness, as he never saw reg much, but regulus considered barty his Only Friend growing up. there was a mutual tinge of desperation to their friendship and they became inseparable at hogwarts <- lots of slytherins ponced around for reg’s Black Scion Stamp Of Approval, but regulus mostly kept to barty because of their childhood warmth

ii. when the rosiers stopped being homeschooled in 3rd year, reg quickly became obsessed with pandora. meanwhile barty was having at least six concurrent crises over The Rosier Boy Being At Hogwarts (barty’s first impression upon seeing evan: I think i huave dragonpox) but reg’s friendship with pandora helped. they were aware of the rosiers for pureblood reasons, but the twins kept to themselves before hogwarts. pandora is the first and only person that regulus ever actively sought out for friendship

dorcas hangs out with the ravenclaws to me!! i hc her in the same social circle as emmeline vance & amelia bones. i could see her being friendly with regulus, but i like having the skittles as a closed unit of Four so i can parallel them w/ the marauders
