Got7 Deep Dive #2/3: A Miracle For The Industry
Here are my credentials (again): While I don’t know much about Got7’s music, I do know a decent amount about them as people. I first heard about them when I watched Jinyoung’s fantastic performance in The Devil Judge (one of my all-time favorite k-dramas), and then started to learn more about them. I’ve also seen interviews of Jackson and BamBam, and grew to like them too. But I’m doing this deep dive because I wanted to see if their music could become a favorite of mine too. So let’s get started!

Sorry I had to, this musical is my favorite “retelling” of Romeo and Juliet. Plus some of the songs make me think of them anyway.

What type of music the fellowship listens to (modern)
Aragorn:
-Country man
-Idk if he even actually listens to it, but I swear every guy on tinder has country music in their interests and I think it is just a go to answer
-“what kind of music do you like?” “Idk, country I guess”
-Likes the depressed indie artists
-✨John Mayer✨
Legolas:
-Idk if anyone is going to agree with me on this but I think he’s into metal music
-I also think he would love Eminem
-He knows every lyric
-Not the type to dance or even show that he’s listening to music, but he actually has music blasting in his ears
-Ik elves have like sensitive ears or whatever but let me have this one
-Wannabe emo kid
Boromir:
-I think he likes pop music but listens almost purely to covers
-“I knew them before they were famous” vibes
-Loves artists like Elton John, Elvis Presley, the Beatles, etc
-Also side note, this man cannot sing but absolutely goes hard at karaoke
Gimli:
-He’s a T-Swift fan
-Also Celine Dion
-I just think he likes the girl bosses
-P!nk, Halsey, and Shawn Mendez because I just thought of it so he must be a girl boss too
-Gets emotional listening to music; like totally matches the energy of the song
-Sometimes I just cry because an artist just sounds so good, and I think he would do the same
Frodo:
-The “aesthetic” music
-You know the ones that kinda go hard but also sound kinda bad if you actually listen to them?
-I was just listening to “Butch 4 Butch” by Rio Romeo and I just got the vibe that Frodo would vibe
Sam:
-I just feel like he likes rap music
-Not aggressive rap, but when songs have rap in them
-Post-Malone sort of vibes
-Also “TikTok songs” but just the part that’s played in the few seconds of the video
Merry:
-Classical music
-But like the classical music that goes hard
-Like “O Fortuna” maybe
-But he also sings JoJo Siwa and no one knows if it’s satire or genuine
-“KARMAS A BITCH!”
Pippin:
-Hozier boy
-The girls, the gays, and the Pippin ya know?
-But also K-Pop
-I don’t know anything about the genre but I have a friend who literally know every dance to every song from Black Pink and I think that’s how Pip would be
-He will have me watch him do the dances and I can just imagine Pippin doing the same thing; putting on little recitals and you just can’t say no
Gandalf:
-Joe Rogan podcasts
-Ok that’s a joke
-But definitely listens to podcasts, maybe ones about science
-Enjoys some good smooth jazz
-Gets real groovy when a saxophone starts playing
*Bonus Faramir and/or Eomer:
-I’ll be honest I don’t know these characters as well as I should
-but
-Recently my sister has had her earbuds in 24/7 and I asked her about it and she has apparently been listening to Dr Who audio dramas
-She is trying to convince me to listen too but frankly I’m too scared
-There was something about a sentient puddle?
-I just feel like one of the characters would do this and these are the two I decided on but lmk if I’m totally wrong

Updated Master List, September 19, 2024
I just updated my Master List of k-pop smut stories. This blog now contains 77 (!) unique stories that I've written from scratch specifically for this blog 😄
In this post I want to give you some recent highlights, to help you find smut stories you'll love.
Quick Fix Season 3 has ended
Quick Fix is my series with very short sex scenes. Season 3 officially ended yesterday with a story about NCT Johnny, after 8 stories that were published over 8 weeks.
I broke some personal records with this season as it contains some of my all-time most-liked stories and posts. Here are the top stories from Quick Fix Season 3:
#22: Muscle hunk Jeno fucks you missionary style
#19: Push-up sex with Haechan
#17: Mark asks you if Jisung can touch your boob
#21: Taeyong fucks you while Yuta jerks off beside you
Psst! Because I've received a lot of requests I will extend Season 3 by posting a few more Quick Fix stories next week. You didn't hear it from me ;)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Most Popular Gay Stories
If you're a follower you can't have missed the fact that I now also have a Gay K-pop Smut series. While this series can be stories about any group/idol, I've so far been running an NCT Dream x Reader mini series called 'Dating Ban' in which you help the Dream team with their sexual frustrations.
Among the (still very few) gay stories I've published so far, here are the top 3:
NCT Jisung fucks you (pt. 1) then goes bottom in part 2
NCT Haechan fucks you from behind against a couch
NCT Mark sneaks into the bathroom for hot sex in the shower
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Old Stories, New Popularity
While updating the Master List with links to all my most recent stories I also went through my older stories. Here are a few that stand out because they received more attention recently despite not being new stories:
Your boyfriend WayV Ten has made you jealous so he fucks you hard to get your forgiveness. Stories about Ten have been requested a lot recently and I have two surprises for Ten fans coming next week ;)
Romeo Beckham – on of my very few non-kpop stories – finally got his first like! *LOL* This is by far my biggest flop, probably because it's a celebrity no one who follows a k-pop blog wants to read about. The non-kpop celebrity Leondre Devries (Bars & Melody) also flopped, but at least he didn't get an actual 0 xD
NCT Jeno brought a lot of new readers to the blog, probably as a result of the Quick Fix story about him (my most popular story to date!). His one-shot Jeno has sex with an older woman and the Most Memorable Sexual Experience of Jeno both received more attention after the Quick Fix story came out.
NCT Jungwoo's story from Quick Fix Season 2 in which he fucks you like a rabbit may not be a popular story at all, but it did take a small leap away from the bottom. I like this story and think it deserves better!
Another similar leap was made by Ten – probably due to his more recent stories attracting fans of his to the blog. The Quick Fix story in which he fucks you wild missionary style from Season 2 as well as the Most Memorable Sexual Experience of Ten have both grown steadily. The latter was previously and for a long time my only gay story, and the recent addition of a gay series on the blog might explain why more people have been drawn to it.
Backstage Sex with Haechan was always popular but keeps getting new likes regularly. In this x reader story Haechan talks dirty to you after bringing you backstage for sex.
Speaking of Haechan, the Quick Fix Season 1 story in which he fucks you missionary style and his gay-ish Most Memorable Sexual Experience of Haechan have also been discovered by more people recently. I assume this too is thanks to him being featured in the gay smut series.
Maybe thanks to the recent requested Yuta & Taeyong Quick Fix story, the older Quick Fix featuring Johnny & Yuta has seen new traction.
Chenle getting you pregnant has become more popular, probably thanks to the recent Chenle doing the seashell (sex position) story.
NCT Jisung pulling out and exploding on your stomach, Backstage sex with Haechan and NCT Mark fucks you silly missionary style have been dethroned as my three most popular stories – by far.

Request a Story
I feel like I keep saying this, but the requests you send in are my #1 source of inspiration! While I can't respond to them all, many do end up becoming published stories. So please, do keep 'em coming. I'd be happy to realize your sexual fantasies 🤩🍆💦

TDB as K-pop Idols
Part 1: Rui, Haru, Alan, Romeo, Subaru, Yuri, Sho
Pt. 2
Disclaimer: These are my opinions! I know 18 groups well enough to be able to do something like this with them and matched the TDB characters with who I believed best suited them from those groups based on personality, vibes and, at least to a point, looks!
Rui - Junghoon (Omega X)
Tumblr media
Playful, charismatic, and flirty, without ever being fully unserious or crossing boundaries. Both have laid-back attitudes but their work is still important to them and they're good at busying themselves.
Haru - Haechan (NCT)
Tumblr media
Always the most sunshiney, energetic people in the room, both Haru and Haechan will work themselves hard without taking care of themselves to the point of repeat injury. They're also both cheeky little teases.
Alan - Shownu (Monsta X)
Tumblr media
Both have serious-looking dispositions but can actually be quite sweet-hearted and can tend to get confused. They're both good leaders and don't know their own strength.
Romeo - Ricky (Zerobaseone)
Tumblr media
The authority on serving face. You will never catch either of them not serving face, no matter what they're doing or how they feel. Ricky is capable of being a little silly whereas Romeo seems too uptight for that so far, but I've got my fingers crossed for more character development for him.
Subaru - D.O (EXO)
Tumblr media
Sweet, naturally talented, anxious boys <3 both are defensive of themselves and their loved ones and tend to keep to themselves but are gentle and kindhearted once you get to know them.
Yuri - Hongjoong (ATEEZ)
Tumblr media
Both extremely intelligent and just as hardworking, though Hongjoong seems so far to be a bit more sympathetic and ethical lol. They both stay up through the nights far too often for their work and both have an excellently perfected evil grin and maniacal laugh.
Sho - Hyunjin (Stray Kids)
Tumblr media
Usually calm and even on the surface, both have depths to them that are more than meets the eye, and talent in their personal interests as well as aptitude to do well in anything they decide to pursue. Both can be cocky and sassy, but won't go out of their way to be insubordinate or rude.

Sin never tasted so...
Chapter 1 - Fate is a bastard
Tumblr media
A TXT Yeonjun Fanfiction from Mrs. Choi-Park
CEO/non-idol/dom/bully!Yeonjun! / Confident/sub/named/fem!Reader!
No obstacle - made of stone - stops love, what love can do, it dares to do. - pretty cheesy, right?
Romeo and Juliet, literature that can only be endured through modern language and films, nowadays. We all know the plot.
~A boy and a girl, madly in love with each other but the tragic circumstances of the family dispute kill both of them in the end.
The "most beautiful" love story in the world...if you don't experience it yourself. Fate is sometimes an ice-cold bastard.
Warnings under the cut
Warnings: rough language, hate speech, bullying, sex language, they kinda hate each other, caring yeonjun
Please remember that I fully respect the privacy of all K-Pop Idols and that this is just a fantasy. It's not my intention to harm anyone! (I've been a MOA since March 2023)
The hot whirlpool was just right thing for my muscles, which were pretty acidic from two days of skiing.
I still had four days ahead of my parents and my winter sports trip. And even though skiing was my favorite sport after hip-hop dancing, it was pretty tiring. My parents and I also received an unpleasant surprise yesterday.
The 5-star sports hotel high in the Pyeongchang Mountains has also attracted another rich Korean family from Seoul.
Why did the Choi's - my father's chosen mortal enemies - have to have a vacation in the same hotel as us in the same week as us?!
Ever since I was little, my parents always instilled in me that the Choi's were truly the spawn of hell.
It wasn't until I was 13 years old that I really found out why our family's didn't get along at all.
My parents, who had moved from Germany to Korea four years before I was born, had started with a small bookstore, which developed into a publishing house for small authors and later into the second largest publishing house in South Korea. My parents have always hated the Choi's, who put obstacles in their way, even now they were holding back our really great success.
The Choi's owned the number one publishing house in Korea, which had also been producing Manhwa's for several years now. (Counterpart to Japanese anime)
Because of this family, my parents struggled with racism, failure and stagnation. We had to deal with copyright lawsuits again and again - fights that emptied our Bank account and were never really justified. We also couldn't follow up with the manhwa's because it was forbidden to us. The old Choi was "a big animal in the world of Politics," as he always said. And even though my parents had come a long way...we had to constantly look into our pockets while the Choi's lived in luxury.
The 5-star holiday was the first in 6 years. Before that we either couldn't go on a skiing holiday or we could only go to a 3-4 star hotel. That's why I wanted to enjoy the whirlpool now and do not think of anything bad, who knows when I'll have that again.
For two minutes I enjoyed the flow of water and the bubbles massaging my back.
Until~
"Oh no, that can't be possible! I wanted to go into that hot tub, potato!" I heard a voice. It didn't take a split second before I recognized the voice. The unpleasant nickname, only one person used it for me, was the final hint.
I opened my eyes and lifted my head, which I had rested on the edge of the hot tub.
Choi Yeonjun.
As expected.
The 24-year-old son of the family I had grown to hate.
Yeonjun stood on the stairs that led up to the hot tub where I was relaxing. I rolled my eyes, not giving him a second glance after dropping my head back down again.
He wasn't worth saying anything back.
"Come on out, I want to relax!" he grumbled. Without saying anything, I raised my hand out of the water with my middle finger held up.
There was silence for a moment. Before I was about to look up to see if he had disappeared, I heard an angry murmur. Then noises coming from the water. I raised my head again and actually saw Yeonjun across from me climbing into the large whirlpool.
"Fuck! What are you doing?!" I threw it at his head and Yeonjun looked up. His look more than disgusted as he lowered himself.
"Maybe I can get you out of here when I'm in." Yeonjun's arm swirled through the water in front of him as his gaze followed his movement. I saw him grin evilly, "Cool, through the whirlpool bubbles, you can't even tell that I've just made bubbles."
As his gaze climbed up to me, I understood what he meant and jumped up immediately. I had 100% confidence that he had just farted in here. So I rushed out of the water, exclaiming in disgust: "You really are the stupidest creep I've ever met!"
Yeonjun laughed as I tied my towel around myself, crawled into my flip flops and rushed away.
Stupid asshole! Why did I have to bother with something like that? Life could be so beautiful.
Even at school he was the biggest idiot I knew, who made every day there a living hell until he finally graduated and I could enjoy four years without him.
Stupid private comprehensive school from the first to the eighth grade we were in one school. Luckily he was always four steps above me, but I was always afraid the stupid idiot would repeat a year and we will sit together in a class at some point. Surprisingly this never happened.
He ruined everything. My school days, my school dance club - which he also signed up for after I signed up - the success of my family and so much more.
I really hated Yeonjun.
He was a brat, idiot, know-it-all and disgusting. I had asked my fate several times 'Why him? Why do I have to know someone like that?' ~ I would never have received an answer.
I really hoped he wouldn't come to the little party in the mountain hut by the ski slopes this evening. Hopefully he wasn't in the hut today where there were a thousand posters saying that today was a Party. Because as far as I knew Yeonjun, he took every party with him and always a slut from there who fell for his tricks and then was dropped by him afterwards.
Asshole!
I didn't want to spend any longer in the hotel's swimming area so I went to my room.
The smarter one always gives in, right?
*
Hope dies last, but eventually it dies too.
For me the time had come when the door of the cozy mountain hut opened and Yeonjun entered.
From my seat at the bar I could see the door perfectly and everyone who entered could also see me. Unfortunately, our eyes met immediately. I exhaled in frustration and rolled my eyes. The nice young man named Danwoo, who I had already met on the ski slopes yesterday, looked at me in surprise.
"What's up?" He asked over the loud music in the bar as I looked deep into my cocktail glass, hoping Yeonjun would just ignore me.
"Nothing…I"
"Heyjo Sumi!" A loud voice shouted at us.
Oh, please don't! Why me?!
While Danwoo turned in the direction the voice had come from, I drank my cocktail, which was actually quite strong, in one go.
When I put my glass back down, I was immediately greeted by Yeonjun's sharp eyes. He had stopped close to Danwoo and leaned on the counter so he could look at me.
"I thought you didn't like parties, sweetie." He greeted me.
I gave him a dark look.
"First of all, don't call me sweetie, second of all, I don't like parties when you're around and third, fuck off!" I replied.
Unfortunately, I knew that Yeonjun wouldn't be shaken off so easily.
Yeonjun gave a half-hearted laugh and raised his eyebrows: “That’s bad, I wasn’t planning on going.”
"Excuse me...may I ask who you are?" Danwoo interrupted our conversation and I clenched my teeth so hard that my jaw hurt as Yeonjun looked disparagingly at my acquaintance.
"The question would be mine first." He replied to Danwoo, who seemed a little taken aback.
"Yeonjun! Just shut up and leave!" I protested, causing his gaze to turn back to me. His bored look turned into a wickedly amused grin.
He rested his head on his hand: "Why so pissed off, little one? Your problem if you're always looking for someone who can't satisfy you."
A fire burned inside me. I immediately jumped up from my chair, wanting to choke Yeonjun with the small silver chain that hung around his neck.
I walked up to him and held my finger close to his nose: "I'd like you to-"
Before I could even continue speaking, I felt a hand on my shoulder pulling me back and away from Yeonjun faster than I expected.
It turned out to be Danwoo who pulled me through the dancing crowd, out of Yeonjun's sight. When we finally got to the corner where sofas were, he looked at me a little surprised: "Who was that?"
I looked at Danwoo for a few seconds before I glanced over my shoulder and was relieved to see that Yeonjun didn't seem to have followed us.
"Oh, that was nobody. I've called him my problem my whole life...please don't worry about him, he's just an asshole." I said and Danwoo's facial expressions relaxed a bit.
"Why is he here?"
"I would like to know that too, believe me, fate is just not kind to me."
"Then let's get out of his way."
"Deal!"
Surprisingly, I didn't even see a trace of Yeonjun in the hut for the next 2 hours. He had probably already grabbed the next poor girl and was fucking her somewhere.
I didn't care. Danwoo was so generous in ordering me a ton of alcohol that I didn't even think about Yeonjun. Until Danwoo went to the toilet around 2am, I took a short break from dancing and sank onto the couch in the back compartment of the mountain hut.
The party was surprisingly well attended, the songs were first class and the atmosphere was electric. I was happy to have met Danwoo because I would never go to a party like this alone.
My vision was still clear, but I noticed that my mood was getting significantly better with every second. I also started some conversations with complete strangers on the dance floor. Well, my inhibitions were long overcome.
"Where did you leave your boyfriend?" Someone asked me. I looked to my right where a bad awakening awaited me.
Yeonjun.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" I asked, horrified. My good mood immediately disappeared.
"I was sitting here the whole time." He grumbled, taking a sip from his beer bottle that had been resting between his legs.
I stood up immediately.
I thought Yeonjun had already left the party, what was he doing here all of a sudden?!
I stood up immediately.
"Hey, wait! I asked you something!" He protested as I tried walking away. I ignored him and tried to escape through the dancing crowd. Unfortunately, this turned out to be difficult, thanks to the somewhat chubby man in front of me.
"Hey!" I heard Yeonjun say, shortly afterwards a surprisingly warm hand on my forearm. I was spun around and to make matters worse, lost my balance due to my drunkenness.
The next moment I found myself on the floor, between Yeonjun's legs. When I glanced up at him he seemed confused, but this was quickly replaced by a broad smile.
"Oh what did I do to deserve this honor?" He asked and I furrowed my eyebrows.
But before I could get up, Yeonjun leaned forward, his face now close to mine.
"Will you answer my question now?" He asked. The smell of beer could be clearly smelled from his breath. But my breathing probably wasn't any better.
"Why? Jealous?"
"Pfft!" with that amused sound, Yeonjun leaned back and I took the chance to get up.
"Why should I be jealous? You should be." He said and I looked down at him confused.
"What does that mean again?!" I wanted to know and Yeonjun shrugged indifferently.
"I thought I saw your guy disappearing into a cubicle in the toilet with someone earlier." He explained himself and I raised an eyebrow.
"God! How much have you drunk?"
"3 beers and a soju shot. I know what I saw.", He murmured before taking another sip from his bottle, "Think about it, how long has he been gone now?"
Oh my god...he wasn't entirely wrong. Danwoo had probably been gone for a little longer than 15 minutes. I bit my bottom lip, rather unconsciously, as I looked over my shoulder at the toilet entrance.
Well maybe the queue was long…
"Come!" Yeonjun said in a firm voice and walked past me. More successful than me, he made his way through the dancing crowd. I was left a little surprised. It was Yeonjun we were talking about here...he probably just wanted to convince me of something again. Lies were his specialty.
"What's wrong now, potato?" Yeonjun shouted, just loud enough for me to hear him over the music. I bit my lip again before hesitantly moving forward. I trotted after Yeonjun through the crowd. We got to the toilets pretty quickly.
From what I got to know - Danwoo was the complete opposite of Yeonjun. Funny, understanding, decent and attentive...I wouldn't trust him to ever cheat on anyone-
I froze when I saw Danwoo in the doorframe of the men's toilet. A short woman with long black hair stood in front of him, giggling wildly.
"Danwoo?" I immediately forgot it when I saw him and the unknown girl together.
Danwoo turned his head to the side and immediately stood upright. His features looked shocked. Like a little kid who just got caught stealing candy.
"Hey Sumi... uhm it's not what it looks like."
"Oh no! It is exactly what it looks like! What was he like, doll?" Yeonjun joined the conversation, the question obviously directed at the black-haired girl.
So he was right...Yeonjun hadn't lied to me. Then why did I want him to do it?
Contrary to my expectations, my eyes began to burn. A sign of impending tears.
Oh no!
The girl standing in front of Danwoo looked back and forth between me and him, more than surprised, as if she wanted to make sure we both were real.
"What do you want again? I don't even know you." Danwoo said to Yeonjun and I just turned around and ran. I didn't know where my legs would take me, but I just wanted to be somewhere else right now. Somewhere far away.
Why were all boys so shitty? My first boyfriend had already cheated on me...why does it have to happen again?! Why does fate always have to put obstacles in my way?! Why can't I be lucky too?!
Before I knew it, I was standing in front of the mountain hut in the freezing cold winter when the first tear finally ran down my cheek.
The cold wind that blew over my arms, which were only covered with a thin sweater, gave me goosebumps. But I was less interested in that right now. I folded my arms and pulled my shoulders up to my ears, as I ran from A to B and cursed things that even I couldn't understand.
Only the light from the window of the hut and the light from the drag lifts twenty meters away brought light to the pitch-dark ski slope that stretched below me.
It's not what it looks like! It's always what it looks like! - "Asshole, idiot, wanker!" I called out into the clear evening air.
"I hope you don't mean me again?" A voice suddenly came from behind me.
I turned around and recognized Yeonjun in the dim light of the surroundings. I quickly turned away again.
Never let your enemies see your tears!- my father always says.
"Are you crying?" He asked further and I heard the snow crunching under his feet.
I frantically wiped my cold teary cheeks.
"Pff, not because of him! How long have you known him - a day?" Yeonjun said. His voice now close behind me.
"What do you want here, Yeonjun? Leave me alone, I have enough to worry about right now!" I replied sharply. For a moment there was silence. I kept my gaze fixed on the snow beneath me. I started to shiver, unintentionally but no wonder given the cold.
"I'll make sure you don't freeze to death out here." I heard him say. His answer was a little softer than usual.
"Ha! That would be fine with you." I hissed back.
"That's nonsense!" Yeonjun exclaimed, the next moment I felt his hands on my shoulders and I promptly were turned around.
"Why are you crying and trying to get yourself killed out here? Boys suck, you should know that."
"Cheating is not only shit, it's anti-social, unrespectful and a crime!", I pulled myself out of his grasp, "I just want to be alone right now, so get lost!"
"You're such a stubborn person sometimes that I just-"
"That you want to - what? - You want to kill me? Then make it easy and get inside! The cold will do the jo-"
Before I could finish, Yeonjun grabbed my forearm and pulled me with him surprisingly easily.
"Let go of me, asshole!" I protested as he opened the door to the mountain hut again.
He showed the tall, broadly built security man his party entry bracelet and also mine, since I was wearing it on my wrist, which he was holding tightly. The man nodded and looked at me a little confused as Yeonjun dragged me further.
"What's your jacket?!" He wanted to know when he got to the cloakroom and finally let me go. His grip would definitely leave bruises. "Mind your own business?" I asked and Yeonjun gave me a dangerous look.
"If you have your jacket, you're welcome to stand outside all night long, but you won't die." He growled.
"Since when have you been interested in my health?" I didn't give in.
"SUMI!!!" Yeonjun shouted clearly for everyone in the hut to hear, even over the loud music. I winced.
"Can't you forget your fucking pride for once and tell me what your fucking jacket looks like?!" He cursed at me. I looked at him for a few moments and then at the woman in the dressing room who had been watching us in shock. Finally, I rummaged through my back pocket of my jeans for the little chip that told the woman where my jacket had been hung.
The woman accepted the chip and disappeared into the cloakroom without saying a word.
"Finally!" Yeonjun turned his back to the coat rack and slumped against it. He looked at me and I suddenly felt very small. My gaze went down.
"You can be quite annoying, you know that?" He said and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. But I didn't say anything, even though there was something on the tip of my tongue that I had been able to respond.
A moment later the woman came back and put my jacket over the counter.
"Here you go, I wish you a pleasant evening." She murmured casually as she eyed Yeonjun skeptically, who still had his back to the woman.
I grabbed my jacket and decided at that moment that there was no point in staying here. So why not leaving?
Without saying another word to the woman or Yeonjun, I turned around and left.
"Put it on in front of me, otherwise I'll have to go out again!" Yeonjun asked me, but I kept going. When I finally got back outside, I put on my warm ski jacket and adjusted my scarf that was stuck in the sleeve of the jacket. Then I stalked off. The snow crunches beneath my feet.
I loved that sound and it always brought me a childlike joy, but right now it didn't spark anything in me.
I was drunk, sad and pissed off...sleep would help...maybe.
"Potato!" I heard Yeonjun calling, who seemed to have followed me outside again. I didn't stop, just looked over my shoulder in the direction of the mountain hut. Yeonjun ran after me, also frantically pulling his jacket over his shoulders.
"Hey, where are you going?" He asked when he was no longer two meters away from me.
"To the hotel, I don't want to stay anymore." I explained myself and trudged up the stairs to the drag lift.
"Oh, fuck Danwoo! He wouldn't have made it anyway!" Yeonjun said. The sound of a zipper followed his statement.
"Is it always just about the one thing for you?” I asked as we arrived at the drag lift platform, that was supposed to bring us down. It was empty except for the two of us. The lift attendant had probably gone home hours ago and had just left the lift running.
"Well, I'm just saying, you always pick the losers." Yeonjun said as we stood so that a lift could swing directly into our legs. What happened immediately afterwards. We dropped into the cold seat of the seat lift and began our way down.
"How do you know? Danwoo wouldn’t have-"
"Oh no, don't tell me that. Danwoo wouldn't have gotten anything done. And that's exactly your problem!" He interrupted and I looked at him questioningly after I pulled down the bar that now served us as a belt.
"What's my problem?"
"You're totally unsatisfied! That's why it's so annoying with you."
I tried my best not to give the most sarcastic laugh the world had ever heard.
"You're such an idiot! That's not my problem, it's you! I'm a gentle little flower to others, you know...but as you are to me, I'm to you!"
Yeonjun raised an eyebrow, "A gentle flower? How much did you drink?"
"To be honest, a lot, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm telling the truth." I said and crossed my arms.
"Hm...I'd rather stick to my opinion - sounds more logical." Yeonjun grumbled. The rest of the ride was silent. After we got out, we had to walk about 10 minutes to the hotel.
It was strange. I almost didn't feel the need to avoid Yeonjun. Of course he was annoying me - to hell - but I was almost happy not to be alone, even if it was Yeonjun...with whom I shared the silence of the night.
In the second minute of the walk, Yeonjun found his voice again: "Honestly, when was the last time you had really good sex?"
I looked at Yeonjun in horror. He looked at me almost innocently. A stark contrast to his question.
"As if I'm telling you this..." to be honest I've never had sex...but he didn't need to know that. With my first boyfriend it never got further than foreplay. Well, I was 20 now, but I never put any pressure on myself to have sex.
You don't miss what you don't know, so why the rush. The right one will come at some point.
"So it's been ages?" Yeonjun asked and I rolled my eyes. "Why am I even talking to you?!" I grumbled and Yeonjun gave a small laugh. "Because you know deep down that I'll bring it." This statement makes me stand still. I never expected such a statement even from Yeonjun. "Please what?" It slipped my mind and Yeonjun also stopped two steps in front of me. He smiled broadly at me and wiggled his eyebrows.
"I don't want to praise myself, but I've only ever received good feedback. I could get you to your high." He said and you could practically see him mentally patting himself on the shoulder.
"You're disgusting! I thought I am too annoying to put up with for even two minutes." I pointed out and Yeonjun shrugged.
"Drunk you're ok." He said and continued walking. After a few seconds I started moving again.
"Still this won't happen in a thousand years!" I said, earning a laugh from Yeonjun.
"Not even if you were the last one in the world." I continued my thought. Now nothing came from Yeonjun. The thought shook my body.
No, no, I would never go into bed with him. Disgusting!
"I..would." I then heard and looked up. Yeonjun looked over his shoulders at me.
"I do not think so."
"I guess so!"
"Oh man Yeonjun, are you really just thinking with your cock?"
"Would be a huge space for thinking." It took me two seconds to understand what he meant. When it clicked, I pushed him aside: "You're really gross!"
The hotel was already in sight. I almost thought we had a good moment, a minute ago, but now I just wanted to get away from this conversation quickly. Luckily, Yeonjun stayed behind me and kept his mouth shut. But I felt his gaze very present on me.
"Apart from your stubbornness, which really annoys me, you have a really nice body." Yeonjun finally said as we turned into the hotel parking area.
"Yeonjun stop, this is really strange!" I protested, only hearing a deep breath behind me.
"Are you really drunk?" He asked further and I looked over my shoulder. His warm breath puffed into the cold air, clearer than my own.
"I don't think DRUNK but ON DRUNK." I said as I pushed open the front door of the hotel. The lobby was only dimly lit, but cozy and warm. Nobody was here anymore - sure it was about 3am. I stopped briefly in front of the fireplace and stretched out my cold fingers. The ember still released heat.
Mmm, that was nice.
Suddenly someone grabbed me by the waist and pulled me back violently. Immediately afterwards I noticed the corner of the old wooden reception desk on my lower back. Startled, I looked up and was greeted by Yeonjun's sharp eyes. I knew that Yeonjun was significantly taller than me, but he was just so close to me that I had to look up high. His hands firmly on my hips, holding me close to the reception.
"What the hell-"
"Funny...I'm pretty horny right now." He murmured and I saw his eyes suddenly darken. That sent a shiver down my spine.

Chapter 2: The DLC
♢ ♧January - 2024♤ ♡
Minho leans against the bar, sips his water, and studies his surroundings.
The club he’s in, The DLC, has recently come up for auction, and Minho is here to assess it for potential investment. Unlike other buyers, he didn’t come here when the place was empty. It’s a nightclub, in his opinion, nightclubs are best viewed at night when it’s filled with customers.
Assessing property is usually Seungmin's niche. Seungmin can look at things, know in his mind what it will cost to put things right, and whether it could become a viable, profitable enterprise. Seungmin would’ve visited when it was empty, a tape measure and calculator in hand and asked smart questions about turnover, footfall and margins. But Seungmin is very much a thinker, a planner, a to-do list maker. Minho is a move first, ask for forgiveness later kind of guy and doesn’t have anything except an instinctual gut feeling.
Instinctively, he feels it has potential. So far, Minho likes the location. It’s in a good area of Seoul, just south of the river and the place is heaving. The security is a little lacking, he is currently sitting at the bar with a knuckle duster in one pocket and his knife in a shoulder holster. Security would definitely need improving, but Hyunjin could easily see to that. The DJ is good, adapting his noisy music to suit the crowd. Minho would keep him on if their bid is successful, perhaps see if he’d split his time between venues. There are male and female dancers on podiums high above the dance floor, wearing little more than glitter and body paint, their gyrations keeping the crowds entertained and invigorated. He wants to keep them too. His Father will hate it. Which is another reason Minho wants it.
“Sammy! Scotch on the rocks,” a panting voice to his right says to the barman.
Minho glances at him, only a second, but within that he captures the honey colour of the young mans skin, adorned with silver jewellery, the beads of sweat on his forehead. Black hair pasted to the nape of his neck and a black silk shirt. He sees all that in one brief glance.
“Oh, hello new face,” the young man says now. A hand with several silver rings, fingers Minho’s tie. “Not the usual dress code for a night on the town.”
Minho slews his gaze over to him. The young man is facing him now, his face is sort of round, his eyes large and dark, in part because he’s wearing heavy eyeliner. Minho quite likes his smile. It’s wide and bright.
“I’m working,” Minho says coolly.
“Oh,” the young man lets go of his tie. “So this is very much a business not pleasure visitation? Or are you mixing the two?”
Minho sips his water, averts his gaze, “Very much business.”
The young man hums, “Well that’s a little disappointing.” He leans back against the bar, his elbow only a hair width from Minho’s own. “Now, what line of business could you possibly be in, wearing a suit to a nightclub? Don’t tell me—” he theatrically purses his lips. “Maybe you’re a talent scout for one of those big companies, out here looking for the next big thing in k-pop?” he steps in front of Minho’s eye line, and now Minho can see him in his entirety. He’s wearing a black silk shirt, tucked into black torn jeans which are in turn tucked into black almost knee high combat boots. His legs are slightly bowed and his waist is grabbable. “I could be him!”
Minho snorts.
“Judgemental,” the young man says, but he’s still smiling that smile. “I’d be an ace, just so you know.”
“Your drink, sir,” says the barman from behind Minho.
“Thanks Sammy,” the young man steps forward, steps between Minho’s legs, his hand flat against Minho’s chest and Minho is fighting to keep his breath even, but knows that his heart rate is betraying him. The young man smells of whisky and sweat and something else, not aftershave, but something that is very warm and pleasant, almost earthy.
“I’m not buying what you’re trying to sell,” Minho says into his ear and he sees the young man’s lip quirk. Probably because he knows Minho is lying. Perhaps he can sense that Minho wants him to.
“Oh, sweetheart, you couldn’t afford me if I were selling,” he pushes himself away, Minho’s tie slipping through his fingers as he drinks from his whisky glass, his throat bobbing. “And I don’t give it away either,” and he winks as he turns away, disappearing down the stairs back to the dance floor.
Minho swallows, takes a breath. Clears his throat. He feels like he’s done five rounds in the ring with Nikko. Part of him is annoyed that the young man had the audacity to touch him. The other, slightly larger part, is annoyed that he had enjoyed it. He raises his bottle to his lips, but the bottle is empty.
“Another, sir?” The barman is good. Minho decides he’ll keep him on too.
“No thanks,” Minho stands, pulls out his wallet. “Sammy, is it?”
“Sam, sir,” the barman is close to Minho’s age. He has intricate tattoos on his forearms, a warm smile and soft brown eyes. He’s well built, muscles pulling at the seams of his shirt and a whole head taller than Minho.
“You know the gentleman that just ordered the scotch on the rocks?”
“Jisung? Yes, he’s a regular, sir. He comes here every Friday.”
“Why Friday?”
Sam shrugs, “Probably the DJ, sir. His set is Friday. Friday’s are our most popular night.”
Minho absorbs this little tit-bit. “Would your manager be available to speak with?”
“Uh, we don’t currently have a manager, sir. Is there a problem? Perhaps I can assist?”
“No, no problem,” Minho hands Sam his business card, “I’m thinking of buying this place. I’m just wondering if there’s a reason I shouldn’t.”
Sam considers his business card for a moment. Eyes him warily.
“All confidential,” Minho assures him.
“You seem like a decent fella, so I’ll tell you why you probably want to look elsewhere,” Sam tucks the card into his pocket, leans forward on the bar. “We’ve had some trouble with the Park family. Have you heard of them?”
“I’m familiar.” There’s always a fucking catch. “What kind of trouble?”
“Drugs, mostly. They’ve been in here pushing, claiming whatever pill they have is something it’s not. We had a few OD’s last year. The owner put things in place to help prevent harm to the punters. The dancers are linked to security through ear pieces, they have a good vantage point of the surroundings, see. We have staff in the toilets now. We’re doing what we can, but I think the owner received some threats, and that’s why he’s dipping out. I don’t really know more than that.”
“Where is the current owner?”
“Last I heard, he ran off to Jeju with his family. Then this place went on the market the very next day. Wasn’t a nice way to hear you’re about to lose your job.”
“But you all stayed?”
“A few cut and run, including the managers, but I’ve been here six years. Many of the dancers too. I care about this place, and the staff. It seems unreasonable just to leave because there’s some asshats trying to ruin things. And…” he hesitates. “We’re LGBTQ+ friendly, sir.” Minho keeps his expression neutral. “There aren’t many places like this in Seoul. I don’t think many new buyers will be okay with that. The people that stayed, stayed because there isn’t anywhere safe for them to go. There isn’t anywhere else where they can be themselves.”
Minho decides he really likes Sam. It’s a gut feeling. “Thank you, Sam,” he drops some money on the bar. “Get yourself a drink.”
“Thank you, sir, but I don’t–”
“Give it to charity, if you’d feel more comfortable.”
Sam nods.
“And,” Minho drops more money on the counter. “Get a drink for Jisung.”
“Of course, sir. Shall I say it came from you?”
Discreet too. If Minho’s bid is unsuccessful, he’s finding somewhere for Sam. He’d find somewhere for all of them. “Tell him it’s from the talent scout.”
“’Talent scout’, yes, sir.”
“And Sam, if the Parks start trouble, don’t waste your time calling the police, you reach me on the number on that card.”
Sam smiles, reaches behind the bar and pulls out a baseball bat studded with nails, holds it on the counter. “I think I can handle a few thugs, but sure, if something crops up that I think we can’t handle, I’ll give you a call.”
♤ ♡ ♢ ♧
“You bought this place?” Seungmin is massaging his temple with his fingers.
It's been a month since his first visit. A week since the paperwork was signed and sealed and now The DLC is officially Clowder owned. There was no auction. Minho just made an offer too good to refuse. After that, everything happened swiftly. He’s feeling really rather proud of himself. “Yes.”
“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” Seungmin sighs and it’s quite amazing that his sigh is audible above the bass of the electronic music.
Minho chuckles, “It’s not that bad.”
“It’s not viable,” Seungmin says. “Cosmetics alone will put this place in the red.”
“We’ll make it back,” Minho says. “Look at it! It’s popular.”
“It’s south of the river.”
“So? We’re expanding.”
“Father will hate it,” Seungmin pointedly nods at a tall male dancer with chocolate coloured skin, on a podium wearing metallic silver short shorts and angel wings. Nothing more. His female counterpart is wearing devil horns, a red thong and platform heels. Seungmin has gone a pretty shade of pink.
“He doesn’t like any of our places. And the fact this is south of the river means he’s unlikely to stop by for a visit. And there’s ten flats above this that I now own as well.”
“Well,” Seungmin considers this. “That’s good. The rent from them will keep this place afloat. What’s the return on each?”
“Nothing, the tenants all work here. Their last landlord stiffed them, so I’ve said they only have to pay their electric, water  and rates. In exchange they keep this place clean and going. It’s a win-win.”
Seungmin’s side eye is next level. “I am running out of fucks. You literally have no business sense.” Seungmin pinches the bridge of his nose. “Well, I suppose you’ve gone and done it now, so I have to come in and sort out the mess you’ve made.”
“That’s our dynamic isn’t it?” Minho signals at Sam who is hovering at the far end of the bar. “Seungmin, this is the manager, Sam. Sam, this is my brother Seungmin.”
Sam bows courteously, “Pleasure to meet you, sir.”
“Hello,” Seungmin says soullessly.
“Sam, will you show Seungmin the books? He’ll want to see everything you have, so I’d prepare some coffee. And be candid with him. There’s no secrets when it comes to my brother. He’s like a dog with a bone when it comes to getting to the truth of things.”
Seungmin rolls his eyes.
“Of course, sir. If it’s okay with you, I will arrange some cover for the bar and we can go to the office?”
Seungmin nods and Sam walks to the far end of the bar.
“Why’s the manager working the bar?”
“He doesn’t like being idle and he was the barman when I took over. I’m not about to argue with him.”
“You kept the original staff?”
“Yes and made Sam manager. The staff like him, and they trust him and so do I. He seems like a good man. And I’ve bought the exclusivity of the DJ. He’ll only perform at our clubs going forward. Hyunjin's coming in over the weekend to work on tightening the security.”
“This is getting worse,” Seungmin sighs and stands. “I should have brought two red pens.”
“You love it,” Minho winks at him. “I bet your nerdy little soul is getting hard just thinking about all those receipts out of order and dusty account books and—”
“I can not emphasise this enough: fuck you,” but he’s smiling.
“—spreadsheets,” Minho groans, then laughs when Seungmin thwacks him on the shoulder.
Sam returns, he’s found a female member to cover the bar for him. “Shall we, sir?”
“Sam, every time you call me ‘sir’, I get heartburn and turn around looking for my old man. You can call me Seungmin.”
Sam smiles, “Of course. If you’d like to follow me?”
“I’ll speak to you tomorrow,” Seungmin says with the air of someone threatening one’s life. As he passes, he very deliberately hits Minho’s knee with his briefcase. Smirks.
Minho flips him off.
“That’s not very demure,” a familiar voice says now.
Minho is smiling before he turns to look at him. Tonight Jisung is wearing a silk leopard print shirt over a tight black top. His waist pinched in black trousers. He’s wearing his usual combat boots. “Have you been lurking?”
“Me? No, I’ve been on the dance floor.” He looks Minho up and down, “Oh, dear, you’re still working. Do you ever get a night off?”
“I literally just clocked off for the night.”
“Hmm,” Jisung reaches over and loosens Minho’s tie. Undoes the top button of his shirt, his fingers feel warm as they brush Minho’s skin. “That’s a bit better. Now you look like someone who’s just clocked off.” He leans against the bar on one elbow. It accentuates the curve of his waist, his hip jutting out just so. He knows exactly what he’s doing and it takes an incredible amount of effort for Minho not to look. “Who was the cutey you were with?”
“Have you been watching me?”
“Maybe,” Jisung smiles, nods to the lady behind the bar, who immediately starts preparing his drink. “Are you going to drink tonight?”
“I’m driving.”
“I’m starting to think you don’t know how to have fun. And you haven’t answered my question about your handsome male friend.”
“He’s my brother,” Minho says simply. “And you sound like someone who doesn’t know how to have fun without alcohol.”
“Sometimes, alcohol just makes things feel better.” Jisung looks at the glass of whisky that the bar staff has just placed in front of him. His smile has cooled, his eyes taking on a far off look. He looks kind of… sad, which doesn’t suit him. “Can I tell you a secret?” His fingers are touching Minho’s now, feather soft, ticklish touches. His finger tips are calloused, but still softer than Minho’s
Minho watches Jisung's thumb trace his scarred knuckles. Waits.
“I’m actually a very shy person in the real world.”
“I don’t believe that for one second,” Minho says, allowing his fingers to trace the creases on Jisung’s palm.
Jisung smiles at him, let’s go, starts to walk backwards, “Maybe I’ll see you on the dance floor?” and too soon he’s gone, lost in the throng of the revellers.
“Well, there’s a first time for everything,” the girl behind the bar says. “He didn’t take his drink.”
Minho unknots his tie, wraps it around his hand and drops it into his coat pocket. He’s warm, and he knows it has very little, if anything, to do with the temperature of the club. He walks over to the railings overlooking the dance floor. It doesn’t take him long to find Jisung in the centre, dancing with two female companions. A girl wearing a scarlet mini dress is at his front, a girl in a royal blue bodysuit is behind him, both grinding up on him. Jisung’s hands are on the girl-in-red’s thighs, the girl-in-blue is kissing his neck and he is biting his lip. As Minho watches, the girls alternate between kissing each other and kissing Jisung’s neck, their pretty little hands smoothing over Jisung's chest, his waist, his thighs. Minho feels heat rising in his chest. His knuckles whiten against the railings. And now Jisung opens his eyes and he looks directly at Minho. No, not at him, into him. Even from here, he must be able to sense Minho’s desire. Minho’s jealousy.
Feeling hot and going dumb, Minho pushes away from the railing, walks to the exit onto the rain slicked street. Grateful for the coolness of the late night air. He turns right into the alley running alongside the club, to cut through to his car, parked a block away. It’s a habit he hasn’t broken out of since one of his brother's cars was firebombed a few years back.
“Didn’t you enjoy the show?”
Minho pauses, glances over his shoulder at Jisung who is walking towards him, looking fine despite the lip gloss staining his throat. Minho pushes his hands into the pockets of his coat. “Not really my thing.”
“The girls, or me, or the combination?” Jisung asks teasingly.
Minho knows he already knows the answer to that, but still makes sure to smirk at him, “All of the above.”
Jisung is very close now, he smells of warm whisky, sweat, perfume and that other smell that underlies all that. That intoxicating one. A heady, earthy smell. “Hmm, he lies too,” Jisung says, his fingers and thumb rubbing the fabric of Minho’s coat collar. “So why don’t you tell me what it is you do like?”
“I think you’re drunk,” Minho tells him.
“I assure you I’m not as drunk as I should be,” Jisung's fingers brush Minho’s belt and Minho seizes hold of his wrist, wrenches it away, which takes a lot of effort and willpower on his part. Jisung pouts and something about the look suggests to Minho that he’s someone who is used to getting what he wants. It’s wrong of him to show that. In part, because Minho finds the look a bit of a turn on, “What are you scared of?”
“I think you have that the wrong way round,” Minho leans forward, his breath warm against Jisung’s ear. “I don’t think you’d be able to handle me even on your best day.”
“You quite sure about that?” Jisung says and his lips brush the spot below Minho’s ear which is somehow directly connected to a spot behind Minho’s belly button. He’s grateful Jisung can’t see his face at this moment.
He releases Jisung, steps back, reaches into his pocket for a business card and pen. Scribbles his personal number on the back. Holds it out.
Jisung snatches the card from him, looks at it. “Lee Minho.”
“Call me when you’re not pissed, Jisung.”
He takes a moment to marvel at the look of confusion on Jisung’s face that he already knows his name, turns on his heel and walks up the alley.
♤ ♡ ♢ ♧
At his car, he pulls off his coat, lays it in the back seat. Slides in, starts the engine and sits there. Hands tight on the steering wheel as he tries not to think about his dick, which is very much still contemplating Jisung.
His head is filled with Jisung’s scent. His skin still tingles where Jisung had touched him. Jisung had been willing, and Minho had wanted so badly to do unspeakable things to him in that alley. Why the fuck didn’t you do anything about it?
His phone buzzes in his pocket and he taps the touch screen on the centre console to read the message.
Unknown Number: I am pissed, as in angry. Hence the text. J.
“Who the fuck says hence anymore?” Minho wonders aloud as he saves the number into his personal contacts under the pseudonym, Ace. He taps a quick reply.
LM: Yeah? Why’s that?
His phone rings, he answers on the car's bluetooth handsfree. “Hey Seungmin. Are you done already?”
“Hardly. I’m taking some books and a hard drive home with me.”
“You dirty boy.”
“Fuck you,” Seungmin says, but Minho can hear the amusement in his voice. Through the line he can hear the bass of the music. Can imagine he’s still sitting in the back office of the club, arms deep in a bag of receipts.
“How’d you get on?”
“We might have a bit of a problem.”
“With Sam?”
“No, you’re right about him, decent bloke. I met a few of the staff and they all respect him. Sam already had the books and all that organised after you made him manager. Took him a week to sort through. Apparently the other managers were a bit nonchalant about bookkeeping. But Sam seems to know what he’s doing.”
“Oh, lord, did I find your ideal? Can I be the best man at your wedding?”
“If I ever get married, you won’t be invited.”
“But I already have the perfect calculator picked out.”
“Min, can you stop pissing about and listen to me for a second? The problem is the Parks.”
“Yeah, Sam mentioned the drug problem last year, but it seems like that’s died off since they put new measures in place.”
“Yeah, well, there might be a reason for that. It looks like the previous owner was syphoning off some of the profits and paying them off.”
“For fuck’s sake,” Minho slaps the steering wheel. “You are kidding me?”
His phone buzzes and a new message flashes on the console.
Ace: you got me all horny and left me.
“No. It’s the only thing Sam and I can come up with. Every week, until the place went up for auction, there’s been a cash payment. No name, no reference, just a circle. It’s not a small number either. Sam reckons it’s started at about fifteen percent of the weekly intake, but it’s been steadily increasing. I haven’t looked at the numbers too closely, but from what I’ve seen, I don’t think Sam’s wrong. The most recent payments sit at about forty percent. The only time it differentiates is if there’s a missed payment. The following payment almost triples.”
“Late payment fee,” Minho is staring at the ceiling of his car, cursing the Parks, the higher powers and himself.
“Looks like it. And that’s before rates and wages and stock— ”
“— fuck.”
“Yeah,” Seungmin sighs. Minho realises that Seungmin sighs a lot when Minho’s involved. “It’s not good.”
“Protection money?” no wonder why the previous owner practically bit his hand off on the first offer. Minho considers ways he can find him, maybe make him see the errors of his ways…
Ace: I’m adding tease to the list of your qualities.
“That’s what we think. Sam reckons the start of the payments tally about the time the problems with the violence and the drugs seemed to have faded out. Which he’d always thought was a bit odd, but he didn’t know what was going on behind the scenes and whenever he asked about it, he was fobbed off. It’s one of the first things he spotted when he was trying to get the books in order for you. Apparently he tried to talk to you about it, but you said something along the lines of ‘I’m not interested in the accounting side of things’.”
“He told you that, huh?”
“No. He didn’t say a thing. I filled in his discreet silence with words I can hear you saying.”
Seungmin; forever the smartest. What a pain in the arse.
“I think that’s a form of entrapment.”
“I think you need to look before you leap next time,” Seungmin says. “So far there are five weeks unpaid, so there’s trouble round the corner. At least you bought it under the family name, it might make them hesitate to do anything stupid.”
“Ah, well… the thing about that is—”
“You have got to be kidding me.”
“It was quicker doing it directly, through my own solicitor. I figured I’d transfer it to the family once things were up and running—”
“So the club isn’t even under the protection of the family banner? You do know you’ve fucked up, don’t you? That you’ve made a big fucking mistake?”
“Yeah, Seungmo, you don’t need to tell me—”
“—huge, colossal, major–”
“– I said you don’t need to tell me,” Minho sighs. When the fuck did he start making mistakes like this? He’d always trusted his gut, and now… “Well this is fucking great. Make sure Hyunjin gets there first thing tomorrow. I really want the security on that place reviewed.”
“I already messaged him and gave his number to Sam. He’ll be there before ten tomorrow. I’ll see if we can speed up the transfer to the family. Which means Father will have to get involved.”
“Great. I’ll look forward to that bollocking.”
“Sucks to be you. And somewhere in between all that I’ll dig into the rest of the accounts over the weekend, see if there's an indication of where the payments went.”
“Yeah, well, use protection.”
“Fuck you,” Seungmin says and ends the call.
Minho stares at the hood of his car for several moments. Lifts his phone from his pocket, rereads the messages from Jisung, taps out his own.
LM: You’re making a list? What you got so far?
The response swoops back almost instantly.
Ace: It’s a work in progress. So far, you’re Trouble. Capitalised.
Great, even a stranger knows what a fucking liability I am.
Ace: I want to do terribly explicit things to you. LM: I told you, not even on your best day…
“I’d make you beg,” Jisung says as soon as Minho answers. There is the sound of traffic and voices on the other end of the line.
“Well, ‘hello’ to you too,” Minho says in response.
Jisung hums down the phone, “I’m really not that drunk, you know.”
“Ah, but you’ve been drinking and I’d prefer you to be fully aware of what I’m doing to you in the moment.”
“I'm totally compos mentis, if that’s what you’re worried about. You could do anything you want to me without any guilt.” The traffic noise has quietened significantly, replaced by the sound of footsteps echoing off walls. The sound of raised voices in the distance. “I’d let you do anything.”
Minho leans his head back, adjusts his trousers.
“You still there?”
“Hmm. Keep talking.”
Even through the phone, Minho can hear the smile in his voice. Can picture it. His pretty lips. “Is it the sound of my voice you want to hear, or certain words and phrases?”
“I like the sound of your voice, but I like the things you’re saying.”
Jisung chuckles and the sound travels straight down between Minho’s thighs. “What are you doing now?”
“Sitting in my car.” Trying not to think about my dick.
“Just sitting? Don’t you have anywhere to go?” the shouts on the other end of the line are growing louder.
“I’m debating whether to come and get you.”
“Why the debate? Come and get me,” Jisung says.
Fuck. “I’ll ruin you.”
“Is that a promise?”
Fuck. “Tell me where you are.”
“I’m east of— hang on— OI!” Jisung's sudden shout is jarring. “What the fuck? Get the fuck away—”
There’s a male voice, “Fuck off!”
A different male voice, “Mind your business!”
A female scream, which sends a cold chill down Minho’s spine. “Jisung? What the fuck’s going on? Where the fuck are you?”
“I said get the fuck away from her!” there are more shouts, the sound of scuffling, a hard crack and the line goes dead.
Minho jams the car into drive, tyres screeching as he speeds eastwards in the direction of the club, scanning alleyways and side streets as he passes, looking for any sign of Jisung and no clue about where he was or where he was headed. He stabs at the console, trying to call Jisung back, but a feminine robotic voice says: I’m sorry, but the person you are trying to call is unavailable right now. Please try again later.
“FUCK!” Minho slaps the steering wheel, and catches sight of a young woman wearing a black dress sprinting into the road in bare feet. His tyres screech and smoke as he comes to a stop, the girl’s hands flat on the bonnet of his car. Her face stained with mascara, her lip bleeding, her left eye swelling. Minho reaches over to the passenger door, pushes it open. “Get in the car!” he yells at her.
She hesitates for only a second or two, looking over her shoulder before scrambling into the passenger seat. As soon as she is in, the door barely closed, Minho is jerking the car in the direction she appeared from, his lights illuminating a long alley too narrow for his car, and towards the back, he can see the silhouettes of five figures.
Minho drops his phone in the woman's lap, “Call the police!” he tells her as he leaps out of the car, his left hand in his pocket finds the birthday present Felix had gifted him last year; his brass knuckle duster.
He knocks the first guy out with a teeth shattering, blood splattering left hook, before the others realise he’s even there. He disarms the second one by dislocating his shoulder, then his knee for good measure. And now he sees Jisung, wide eyed and fucking furious, his lip is split and his teeth red. He’s standing on the neck of a third man, whilst punching the shit out of the fourth. Minho grabs the fourth into a headlock, digs his knee into his spine and Jisung punches him so hard Minho feels the impact in his chest as the man slumps and falls unconscious to the ground.
Minho bends forward, hands on his knees, the adrenaline firing through his blood. Jisung walks over to the right wall, where the fifth man is cowering, face bruised and bloodied. Judging by the unnatural angle of his hand, he has a broken arm. Bracing a hand on the wall, Jisung draws his foot back like an American football player and kicks the man full in the groin. It makes Minho wince. The cowering man slides sideways and curls in on himself and Jisung lines up another kick, but Minho steps forward, drops a hand on his shoulder.
Jisung, fist clenched, whirls on him, but Minho expects it, his forearm blocking Jisung’s. “That’s enough,” Minho says.
Jisung doesn’t look convinced, but his shoulders relax. He backs off from the man and starts scanning the floor of the alley, nudging arms and legs with the toe of his boot.
Minho looks at the carnage, “You tried to fight—” he counts quickly, “—six men? On your own?”
“I wasn’t trying, I was doing a bloody brilliant job. Ah-ha, found it,” he crouches down, lifts an object from the floor. It’s a mobile phone, he shows it to Minho, the screen is cracked. “Cunts.”
And Minho can’t help it, he laughs.
“We should find the girl, make sure she’s okay.”
“She’s in my car, calling the police.”
“Hyung,” Jisung whines, his lips pouting, as he gestures to the bruised, bloodied and broken men at his feet. “The police? Seriously?”
Minho sees his point.
Jisung rolls his eyes, starts walking towards the car at the top of the alley, the headlights shining through his silk shirt, so from here Minho can see the silhouette of his tiny waist. Jisung raises his hands level with his shoulders, approaches the car like you would approach an injured animal. He stoops down near the passenger door, “Hi my dear, are you okay? You’re safe now.”
Her wailing is too high pitched for Minho to understand her.
Minho pulls off his knuckle duster, drops it into his trouser pocket, and starts to walk back towards the car when he almost trips over a silver shoe. He figures it belongs to the woman in the car, looks for the other one, finds it a few feet away and a small black purse with a chain link handle. When he reaches the car, the passenger door is open and the girl is leaning against Jisung sobbing against his shoulder as Jisung strokes her long black hair and makes soft soothing noises against the top of her head. Minho passes Jisung the shoes and the bag, reaches into his back seat and pulls out his coat, “Here,” he says, as he drapes it over her shoulders.
“Thank you,” her tiny voice says, as she sniffles. The entirety of the left side of her face is purpling and swollen. Her tiny legs are cut and bruised and there are notable bruises on her arms that look like hand marks. Minho feels sick and angry and he really hopes that he and Jisung have succeeded in killing one or two of those cunts. His urge to go back down into the alley to ensure they had been successful is cut off by the sound of sirens in the distance.
“My dear,” Jisung says gently. Cupping the girls head and looking her in the eye that hasn’t swollen shut. “I am so so sorry, but we can’t be here when the police come. You understand that, don’t you?”
The girl sniffs, takes a shaky breath and nods. She steps out of the car and Jisung supports her and helps her sit on the pavement. She tries to take the coat off her shoulders, “No,” Minho says as gently as he can. “You keep hold of that.”
Her smile is wan as she nods and pulls his coat tighter around her shoulders.
Minho scans the area, the sirens drawing closer. “See that broken lamppost over there?” he points at a side street across the road. “We’ll be right there. We won’t go anywhere until we know you’re safe.”
The girl nods again and Jisung smiles warmly up at Minho.
Minho gets into the car, reverses it a few feet with the passenger door still open, lifts his phone off the passenger seat and waits for Jisung who is still speaking to the girl. Stroking her hair gently. The sirens are uncomfortably close now, Minho can make out the lights reflecting off buildings in the distance.
Finally, Jisung jogs over to the car, slips in and pulls the door closed. His eyes never leave the girl as Minho pulls alongside the side street, reverses into it to stop under the broken streetlight, just as he promised her. He kills the engine, blanketing them in darkness.
A police car arrives first, a female officer sits on the pavement with the girl and holds her as she sobs and her colleague, flashlight and gun drawn, enters the alley. He returns a minute later, speaking into his radio and they are clearly asking the girl what happened and she is pointing the opposite direction to where Minho’s car is sitting.
“Good girl,” Jisung says quietly.
Another police car arrives and the male colleague of the female officer points in the direction the girl had. Sirens wailing, the second car tears off in that direction. Now, an ambulance arrives, and the female officer, with support from a paramedic, help her into the back of it, and now the girl looks at them, smiles feebly and waves and Minho can breathe again, knowing that she is now safe.
“Did they…” he can’t bring himself to finish the question.
“No, I came across them before they…” Jisung can’t bring himself to finish the answer.
They remain in the car, watching from a comfortable distance as more police cars and ambulances arrive. They can hear the groans and moans of the men as they are loaded onto stretchers. It appears to Minho that the paramedics, especially the female ones, aren’t too worried about giving them pain meds or being gentle with them. Each ambulance departs carrying one patient and one police officer.
Jisung looks down at his hands. Blood is crusted on his skin, his knuckles torn to shreds. He looks at his shirt, blood spatter joining the leopard print spots. “I really liked this shirt,” he sighs.
Smiling, Minho starts the engine, pulls out of the side street slowly, wary that there may be officers still in the vicinity.
“Where are we going?”
“My place.”
“I’m really not in the mood.”
“Neither am I. But you look like you could do with something to eat. Maybe a shower?”
“Hmm,” Jisung leans his head against the passenger window. “I am hungry.”
“Put your seatbelt on.”

Got7 Deep Dive #3/3: A Miracle For The Industry
Here are my credentials (again, again). While I don’t know much about Got7’s music, I do know a decent amount about them as people.

Bad But Good
-> Freakin Bad by Xdinary Heroes
Guanyu x K-band fem!reader.
Faceclaim: Blackswan’s Fatou
In which Y/N releases a more suggestive MV for her first single, featuring Formula 1 driver Zhou Guanyu. It has more mixed reception. However I’m not going to get into the more intense K-pop stan mentality.
Tumblr media
K-Band ODESSY’s Y/N releases controversial MV featuring suggestive scenes with Formula 1 Driver Zhou Guanyu.
Netizens say it is too early on in her career and it would be too bold of a move to release something so scandalous.
“We support any endeavors our artists decide to go through with” Berzerker Ent. CEO Yoo Sunghoon states. He declines to comment further.
Tumblr media
Showing up to the Hungary Grand Prix would definitely be a decision. Going as Alfa Romeo’s guest would be even more of a decision. Considering the media storm your new music video has struck up. Your company and Alfa Romeo saw it more as a business decision, you saw it more as a chance to experience a childhood dream.
You dreamt as a kid what it would be like on the grid walk, and then you stood face to face with Martin Brundle on said grid walk.
“So nice to see you Y/N,” he said into his mic before pointing it towards you.
“Yes sir, you as well. I’m so excited to be here” you leaned towards him, making sure your voice was heard over the crowds around you.
“I’ve seen your new music video,” he started, “I assume you’re here supporting Zhou?” He flashed a cheeky grin as he turned the mic back to you, you returned a grin of your own before speaking.
“Of course, he’s a good friend to me. And I do hope everyone has a good and safe race.”
That took up the time Martin had for you, before he moved on in search of Kevin Magnussen, and your manager led you towards where Alfa Romeo was setting up.
You were ushered in next to Guanyu, who didn’t pay any mind to you as he set himself up for the race. You watched the car, the drivers, mechanics, and marshals rushing around you.
Guanyu finally looked up, smiling as he recognized you. The two of you shared a quick, perhaps manufactured moment, as cameras around you went off in bursts before you were again ushered away and towards the garages.

formulaonesnob Quit inviting these stupid celebrities! Doubt she’s ever even heard of F1
ynbbg normally I’d agree, but Dude her first predebut picture is of her with Michael Schumacher.
ffformula oh my god ynbbg Petition to get her a picture with Mick
Tumblr media
Inside the Alpha Romeo garages left you pretty well out of the public eye. No one gave you any attention as Guanyu pulled himself out of his car and made his way straight to you for a hug.
It felt normal. Everyone patting Guanyu on the back as they passed. Not a camera in sight to catch him taking his sweet time to let you go.
Once the two of you did separate, he gave your hand a quick squeeze before he left for his media obligations. You were shown to their hospitality room, also away from the public eye. The few photographers who did pass through never looked your way.

yourinstagram Thank you so much alfaromeostake for helping a lifelong dream come true, being able to watch the race from the garage was surreal. And thanks again to zhouguanyu24 for all you did for me during shooting! Included is Schumacher circa 2004, because this gp is the anniversary of when I met him as a very small child.

Everyday I'm tempted to make a tragic-romance musical (like hadestown or wicked) but insted of the classic musical style is rancheras and boleros.
I am not going to ask anyone to learn spanish but please go and listen to at least one or two songs, google Alvaro Carrillo, and then search the translation of the lyrics. The songs are just feel with so much pasion, like they seem taken out of Romeo and Juliet or Devdas or any other love story that ends in tragedy.
In fact, you don't need to look, I've translated some songs! Here they are:
youtube
youtube
youtube
youtube
Like, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Nat King Cole, even EXO-K (sorry idk k-pop, i know sorry, i'm trying) have sing songs of the genre:
youtube
How are they not more popular!? (i know why, but still.)

FINALLY! I'm announcing the next "Most Memorable Sexual Experiences of..." k-pop group next week!
Yes! It's finally time! 😁 I've spent the last six+ months writing a new "Most Memorable Sexual Experiences of..." series.
Most Memorable Sexual Experiences of NCT is what kicked this blog off. I published 21 stories, one per member of NCT and WayV, telling of their most memorable sexual experiences. The goal of the series was to write realistic sex stories/smut that is fiction but reads as though they could actually have happened to our favorite (obviously sexually active) idols.
If you're here and following this blog, it's probably because you're an NCT and/or WayV fan interested in sex stories about your favorite k-pop idols.
For months now, I've teased the fact that there will be a new series in the same gist as the original. It will be about a completely different group, maybe a little more out there for some stories, telling of the most memorable sexual experiences each member in that group has had.
Now, the question is: which group will the new series be about?
This week I'll be dropping hints! The first hint comes tomorrow at 16:00 (Central European Time). Until then, which group do you HOPE it will be?
Tomorrow, Tuesday at 16:00 Central European Time, you'll get the first hint.
WAIT, WHAT ABOUT YOUR OTHER STORIES & SERIES?
Don't worry! The (gay) NCT Dream Dating Ban series will continue until I've covered all 7 members, but there's no fixed schedule for this. The previous/already published stories are:
#4: Mark
#3: Haechan
#2: Jisung Pt. 2
#1: Jisung Pt. 1
The current Quick Fix season will continue every Wednesday and ends on September 18:
Jul 31, 2024 – #17 NCT Mark asks if Jisung can touch your boob.
Aug 07, 2024 – #18 BTS Jin gets you pregnant.
Aug 14, 2024 – #19 NCT Haechan does push-ups over you.
Aug 21, 2024 – #20 TXT Taehyun plays with your nipples.

Chapter 11 - Better than Shakespeare (Finale)
Tumblr media
A TXT Yeonjun Fanfiction from Mrs. Choi-Park
CEO/non-idol/dom/bully!Yeonjun! / Confident/sub/named/fem!Reader!
Previous Chapter:
[...] It wasn't my decision, it was that of a person who I never thought would make my life worth living so much. And I was more than ready to make a decision that had the same significance and made his life worth living so that he felt the way I felt right now.
Warnings are not needed I think😆

“Okay, see you there, honey.” Yeonjun said, before I pressed the ‘call end’ symbol.
It was Tuesday now…three days since Yeonjun made his decision to leave his parents and their company. Even though I had told him again and again that his parents would definitely pull themselves together and get in touch with him, I didn't seem to be right.
On Sunday we both made the decision to tell my parents everything before it might be too late. They deserved to know the truth, even if no one could predict their reaction.
I had simply told my parents that I wanted to introduce them to a boy. No more and no less. They sounded happily surprised on their cell phones and they were looking forward to the dinner, which was about to happen. Since Yuna knew about me and Yeonjun, I begged her to busy my mind beforehand. So we went shopping in town before it turned 5 o'clock and I had to say goodbye to my bestie. Yeonjun would drive himself to my parents while I took the bus. It would have been a detour for him to get to the city first, even if he offered to pick me up.
Anyway, I was now sitting in the bus and it was just before the stop where I had to get off. Yeonjun would come later than me, which was a good thing. The quarter hour gave me the opportunity to raise some awareness within my parents.
I stared absentmindedly at the road rushing beneath the bus.
To be honest, I was so excited that I felt like I was going to take off at any moment. On the other hand, telling my parents the truth was the right decision. Even though I didn't think they would disown me like Yeonjun's parents did... I didn't want to risk it either.
I trusted my parents...that they would understand...I hoped.
The announcement of the stop at which I had to get off echoed through the almost empty bus, so I dug my nails deeper into my bag.
The tiredness from this morning was gone. I couldn't get any rest tonight and the three lectures didn't really help either...but as time progressed...my heart beat faster and faster against my chest. The bus stopped and I got up to get off, although I briefly thought about just staying seated.
Today was a surprisingly beautiful day. My birthday was approaching and I fervently hoped to be able to celebrate it with my parents.
I had to walk for about five minutes to get to my parents' house, unfortunately today it felt like an hour. It was probably because I was walking so slowly.
My heart was beating faster and faster, my stomach was twisting and my intestines didn't seem to leave me in peace either.
A little desperate, I looked at my cell phone, which showed me the time was 5:37 p.m. I had told my parents I would be there at half past five...so I was already a little late. I could imagine 50,000 other scenarios that I would prefer right now. What was I even supposed to say?!
...actually I had been racking my brain about it all day today...on two occasions I even had some pretty good ideas...but unfortunately I had forgotten them again.
I finally stopped in front of my parents' house.
My gaze wandered over the suburban home where I grew up. I used to call it home...but right now it felt like a house of horrors that I didn't want to go into.
Come on Sumi! You've waited long enough. They are your parents, they deserve the truth!
I hesitantly walked along the entrance until I finally stopped in front of the front door and hesitantly put my finger on the doorbell and finally pressed it after five seconds.
My mother literally seemed to have been waiting behind the door as quickly as she opened it.
"Ah, there you are!” She greeted me and pulled me straight into a hug.
"How are you? Everything good?" She continued to ask as she let go of me and invited me inside.
I looked at her for a moment.
"I am fine." I lied and my mother smiled widely before looking over my shoulder.
"Where did you leave your boyfriend?” She asked and I gulped as I kicked off my sneakers.
"He...he's coming soon.” I muttered as I got rid of my shoes and crawled into the slippers that were waiting for me.
Meanwhile, my mother closed the door behind me.
"I guess the gentleman is shy, huh?" I heard my father's voice, which made me look up. He was standing in the hallway and smiled warmly at me.
I took a breath...
"Seems so." I muttered.
My father laughed briefly before turning around and disappearing into the living room, where my mother followed him.
"I made delicious food!" My mother announced and I trotted into the living room after my parents.
My father was already sitting at the dining table and had opened the newspapers that he had probably read.
My mother stood behind the kitchen island and poured some water into a glass.
Oh man...they seemed really happy...and there was nothing wrong with that...but I felt like I was under electricity.
"Here. When is your darling coming?” My mother asked, handing me the glass. I wrinkled my nose and took the glass from her.
"I don't use that pet name for him." I said and my father started to laugh, which drew my mother and my attention to him.
"What do you call him?" He asked and I took a sip first. Oh man, how do I start this off gently before Yeonjun rings here in no less than ten minutes?!
"He usually calls me Honey or... little one and I...I don't know...", something popped up in my mind, that seemed like a good start, "I call him Junnie."
"Junnie? Is that a nickname?" my father asked, he still had a big smile on his lips.
"How long have you been together?" My mother asked before I took another sip, hoping it would calm me down.
"Two months." I mumbled and mom's eyes widened.
"Really?"
"Hm..."
Then there was silence in which I could swear I could hear my heartbeat.
"I can't wait to meet him." My father said and took off his glasses. I just nodded.
"He...may not be what...you imagine." I said sheepishly, even though I could barely hear myself.
"Oh, sweetie, don't be so afraid, as long as he's nice to you, we'll like him." My mother said and went to my father.
If only she didn't regret that statement.
She sat down next to my father who nodded.
"We'll be nice, you know us." he said.
Yes...I knew them...and I knew who they hated...
"Sit down first, when is your boyfriend coming?" Dad asked, pointing to a chair at the front of the table.
I took another breath before slowly starting to move.
It was a miracle that I wasn't shaking with excitement.
"Maybe in ten minutes." I said as I sat down.
"Then it's good." My father said and put his glasses back on to continue reading his magazine. Meanwhile, I turned my glass around in my hands.
Damn, Yeonjun was coming soon and I hadn't prepared my parents for what was about to happen.
"If he's nice to me...can you get along with anyone?” I asked cautiously as I lifted my gaze and looked my mother in the eyes again.
"Of course sweetie, why are you so scared?"
My mother just knew me too well. She could smell my emotional state from ten meters away, against the wind.
"Because he...he really won't be what you expect.” I said cautiously, which made my father look up from his magazine.
He raised an eyebrow: "Hopefully he's not older than me..."
I started to laugh briefly before looking back at my glass, "No...he's only four years older than me."
"Oh so much older? I thought it was someone from your university." My mother said and I looked up again.
"No...he...we know each other from somewhere else.” I said and my parents exchanged a look.
"But four years is nothing...I mean your mother and I are six years apart.” My father pointed out and I began to nod again.
I jumped when the doorbell rang.
Shit! Yeonjun not yet!
"Oh that must be him!" My mother said and jumped up from her chair. Like her, I jumped up, which attracted everyone's attention.
"I'm opening the door! Please wait here!" I almost demanded. My parents raised their eyebrows.
"Yeah...okay, we'll stay here." My father tried to calm me down. However, my brain was numb.
This wasn't the perfect time Yeonjun! If only I had walked a little faster earlier.
Without saying anything, I turned around and practically ran out of the living room. I quickly rushed to the door, glanced over my shoulder to make sure my parents weren't looking and opened the door once I was sure.
"Oh...hey." Yeonjun greeted me, seeming relieved to see me behind the door.
"Lucky you're already here, I thought I was too early.” He said, but I didn't say anything in response, just pushed him back a little and also stepped out of the door, only to pull it slightly behind me so that my parents wouldn't recognize his voice immediately.
"Everything OK?"
"You're way too early! I haven't had any time to prepare them yet!” I said frantically, but so quietly that only Yeonjun would understand me.
His big surprised eyes quickly softened as he began to smile.
"I thought you said you weren't excited." He said and put a hand on my waist. He pulled me a little closer to him and I couldn't help the pent-up feeling from running out of my lungs.
He was right, but I only said that to calm him down. He was so restless on Sunday that I had to calm him down somehow. So I just said that. And it wasn't a lie on Sunday I really wasn't afraid, but things looked completely different now.
"I'm excited as shit..." I admitted as I placed my hands against his chest. His light blue denim jacket served as support.
"Little one, we'll manage it." Yeonjun murmured before I felt his forehead fall against mine. I closed my eyes shortly afterwards.
"Remember? As long as we stay together, we'll get through it all..." He whispered and, as if by magic, my heart calmed down a little. Yeonjun was right! No matter what happened...we would stick together.
"You look amazing by the way!" Yeonjun said after leaning back. This statement brought a smile to my lips. When I looked up at him I was greeted by a warm smile that told me everything was going to be okay.
"You too." I murmured, which only made his smile grow wider.
I really loved when he styled his fluffy hair in a pony, it made his features so much kinder and sweeter.
"We're going in here together and out together, no matter what happens.” He said and I couldn't help but pull myself up on tiptoes and give him a quick kiss on the lips.
"I love you!" I whispered after I was fully back on my feet.
Yeonjun had to laugh for a moment: "Hmm...good for you!"
His statement was followed by a slap on my butt. I rolled my eyes before taking his hand in mine and taking another breath.
I could do it all with him. It was almost scary how quickly Yeonjun calmed my excitement. Of course my stomach was still churning, but I seemed to be calmer in everything.
Finally I turned around and pulled him with me.
With him on my hand, I felt prepared for whatever might come. So I opened the door without thinking about it and led Yeonjun into the house where I would never have ever expected him to be.
Yeonjun quickly took off his shoes and put on the slightly larger slippers, before we exchanged a quick look. Yeonjun pressed his lips together and nodded once, which told me it was now or never.
A little hesitantly, I turned around and led the way.
However, I positioned myself in the entrance to the living room so that Yeonjun wouldn't be visible behind me.
"You have to promise me not to freak out." I said to my parents who were sitting expectantly at the dinner table.
My father laughed: "Bring him in already!"
I took a deep breath as I looked intently at my parents. I slowly entered the room so Yeonjun could enter too. He was following me, from what I could make out by the footsteps behind me. My eyes never left my parents for a second, not even when both of their jaws dropped.
I held my breath as I saw Yeonjun bowing next to me.
"Hello...nice to see you again.” Yeonjun greeted my parents respectfully before standing upright again.
No one in the room said anything after that. I didn't even think I could hear or see my parents breathing. Only the ticking clock brought an impatient sound into the silence.
My mother was the first to close her mouth and look at me. Her face was hard to read, but I didn't have time to as my father pushed his chair back and slowly got up.
I could read his look exactly. He was angry...every muscle in his face told me that. My heart began to beat faster again.
"Dad...please don't be angry...I told you he's not what you expected." I tried to reassure my father as he rounded the table. His gaze was fixed on Yeonjun, who audibly gasped as my father approached.
Instinctively, I took a step forward and stopped my father by placing my hands on his chest. He would never harm me, but I wasn't so sure about Yeonjun...the way my father looked at him.
"Dad please. Listen to us first.” I tried to calm him down and his eyes actually found mine.
"Mike...Sumi is right, let's eat first." I heard my mother's voice. Hearing her statement gave me some strength to hold my father's gaze longer.
"Choi Yeonjun?!" my father hissed. But before I could reply, I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Sir, I have no intention of insulting you. I'm not like my parents, I don't mean to harm you. All I want is a nice dinner to explain all this." I heard Yeonjun say, which gave me even more strength.
My father looked intently at Yeonjun behind me. But to my relief, every fiber of his being no longer seemed to want Yeonjun dead.
"Dinner with you?!" my father asked and suddenly I saw my mother next to him.
"Mike, sit down. Don't do anything stupid.” She said and my father seemed to calm down a little more, which calmed the racing of my heart too.
My father's gaze shifted to my mother, who pulled him back and smiled warmly at him.
When my father actually went back to his chair a little later, Yeonjun and I let out our breaths at the same time.
"Sit down, I will serve the food.” My mother said, looking back and forth between me and Yeonjun.
Unlike my father she seemed calmer and genuinely friendly. After she turned around into the kitchen, I exchanged a look with Yeonjun and raised my eyebrows briefly and shrugged.
Then I waled over and sat on the chair opposite my father, who looked at me skeptically. His eyebrows were so drawn together that you'd think he had a monobrow. Yeonjun sat down next to me shortly afterwards and my father's gaze wandered over to him, his face actually turned even darker like a cartoon character.
There was a more than awkward silence as my father leaned back and folded his hands over his ever-growing beer belly. He twiddled his thumbs more than obviously as he eyed Yeonjun. I could clearly feel his tension.
"What would you like to drink?" My mother asked, coming back to us and putting a glass in front of everyone.
She broke the awkward silence with a genuine smile on her lips.
"Beer…” My father grumbled at first and my eyes followed back to him. His gaze was still fixed on Yeonjun, as if he was silently asking him to say something next.
I started grinding my teeth. My excitement hadn't subsided in the slightest.
"I would like-"
"He's having a beer too!" My father interrupted Yeonjun. My tension grew.
“What do you want, my darling?” My mother asked and I slowly looked away from my father. Normally I would help my mother to get everything on the table, but I didn't dare leaving my father alone with Yeonjun.
"Please...something with alcohol too." I asked her and I also felt the other eyes on me.
Mom just nodded a little skeptical and turned around again.
I also turned back to my father, whose face seemed a little more relaxed.
Luckily my mother came back quickly and put the two bottles of beer on the table. She passed me a cocktail that she had probably already prepared. She had the same one.
My father grabbed his bottle pretty quickly and poured some into his beer glass, which Yeonjun did the same.
My father didn't hesitate for long and raised his glass to his lips. I was afraid he would drink it in one go as long as he sucked on the glass.
When he finally lowered it and half the glass was in his stomach, he cleared his throat.
"Two months, huh?” He began and I clutched my glass like a madwoman.
"We should have told you earlier...but it was...complicated.” Yeonjun took over the speaking, which took a huge burden off my shoulders.
"No no...you should wait two months anyway.", Dad said and then looked at me, "You should know whether it's something serious, right?"
I swallowed.
"So I think it's wonderful." My mother announced and caught everyone's attention.
Oh really?!
My mother looked around and her gaze landed on Yeonjun.
''Maybe we can finally settle the dispute like that.'' she continued and then looked at me. Her smile grew, if at all possible, even wider. All I heard from my father was an unconventional 'hm'.
''I'm not really sure about that.'’ Yeonjun said. His voice sounded defeated, which drew my eyes back to him.
Yeonjun fumbled his glass between his hands and stared briefly into the beer inside.
''My parents found out about this the wrong way…’’, Yeonjun looked up at my mother again and gave her a small smile, ''We had quite a fight.''
My mother's smile was gone when I looked back at her.
''What kind of argument?'' my father asked in between, attracting everyone's attention again.
''My father was very angry when he found out about me and Sumi.''
''Something completely new.'' my father grumbled.
''He kicked me out.'' Yeonjun said quickly before finally raising his glass and taking a sip.
My father's eyes widened and his gaze flickered to me: ''Kicked you out?''
I should finally say something.
''Do you see Dad? Yeonjun is not like what you think.''
''I decided against my family because my father wouldn't allow it.’’ Yeonjun said after lowering the glass again, which drew my father's gaze back to him. He studied Yeonjun for a while before leaning back in his chair.
You could literally hear the cogs working in his head.
''If that's not a token of love.'' my mother said quietly and I had to start smiling, but my eyes went to my lap. She was right, it really was.
''Really unbelievable, who would throw their own child out the door?'' My father asked and I looked up again.
''Oh, I have my own apartment, don't worry. I just have to look for my career somewhere else now." Yeonjun admitted and I looked at him again. We exchanged a quick look in which I tried to smile reassuringly at him before I also raised my glass to my lips.
''I...maybe I can help you there.'' my father said and Yeonjun's eyes widened.
''Excuse me?'' he asked my father as my eyes also went to my father.
''Two birds with one stone. I help my daughter's boyfriend to his feet and thus wipe out my competitor. Old Choi probably won't be happy to hear that his son is working for us.''
There was a moment of silence. Did my father just offer Yeonjun a job?! Was I dreaming?
''Of course only if you accept the offer.'' my father said and raised his eyebrows. I looked at Yeonjun, who was obviously completely perplexed...just like me.
''Wha-what kind of job?'' he asked and my father laughed.
''Well all the major management positions have been filled, but we still need readers. I'm sure you recognize good books when you read them, am I right?", My father said, raising his hand as he said, ''Starting salary 3.700.500 won per month without deductions.''
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Yeonjun's jaw drop.
I stared at my father like a dumb bird as well.
''OK 3.800.500 won, I can't get you more than that. Probably still a lot less than you earned from your parents.''
''Oh no, no! I-wow that's a really...thank you.'' Yeonjun stuttered.
My father started to smile as he looked at me.
''You don't have to be afraid that I'll kick you out because of this, mouse, hopefully you know that. As long as you're happy, I'm happy too," he said, leaning forward a little.
I nodded immediately, only then could I start to smile.
''Good!'' my father said a little louder and raised his glass, ''Then on a successful future!''
The rest of the evening was surprisingly friendly and open-minded. My parents, especially my father, seemed to accept Yeonjun more and more every minute and I was honestly happy that my parents took it so well. I have to admit once I got here, there was really a part of me that was afraid my parents would react the same way Yeonjun's did.
But with my parents like this I could look calmly into the future and the same goes for Yeonjun, who introduced my parents to Hueningkai and his Manhwa on the first day in the company. Hueningkai had already canceled the contract with the Choi's one day after the argument between Yeonjun and his parents. He said he wanted to publish it together with Yeonjun and not otherwise. So Yeonjun brought a great success to our company, which only made my father like him even more.
Every day felt like a fairytale after that drama with Yeonjun's parents. And even though I thought my life felt like Romeo and Juliet at one point...it was ultimately much better than Shakespeare's drama.
Two months later
It was Sunday and I was sitting at the breakfast table with Yeonjun in his apartment. As almost always, I had only woken up ten minutes ago and Yeonjun had already prepared breakfast. He was typing away on his phone as I drank my orange juice.
''Huening just can't stop thanking me.’’ Yeonjun finally broke the silence and I laughed when he looked at me.
''We should actually thank him.'' I retorted as I lowered my glass again.
Yeonjun nodded with a smile and looked back at the screen after it vibrated again.
''We can invite him to dinner sometime.'' I suggested and looked at Yeonjun again. He stared frozen at his display.
''Are you okay?'' I asked and Yeonjun looked at me without moving a muscle in his face. I raised an eyebrow, when he turned his phone towards me my eyes widened too.
The chat he showed me was between his mother and him.
I recognized a message, the first in two months:
Yeonjun, your father would never admit it, but he misses you and he's sorry. I finally convinced him to talk to you again. I'm also so sorry that I didn't get in touch sooner, but I was honestly embarrassed to write to you, after what your father did. We would both be happy to invite you to dinner on your next day off, preferably with Jung Sumi.
Love Mom.
The Story ends here. Thanks to all the readers. I hope to see you all soon☺️🙏🫰
