Got7 Deep Dive #2/3: A Miracle For The Industry

Here are my credentials (again): While I don’t know much about Got7’s music, I do know a decent amount about them as people. I first heard about them when I watched Jinyoung’s fantastic performance in The Devil Judge (one of my all-time favorite k-dramas), and then started to learn more about them. I’ve also seen interviews of Jackson and BamBam, and grew to like them too. But I’m doing this deep dive because I wanted to see if their music could become a favorite of mine too. So let’s get started!

GOT7 BamBam’s Concerning Posts Deeply Worry Netizens

Netizens are worried about GOT7‘s BamBam after more than one concerning update.

BamBam is currently promoting his latest release, Bamesis, which has included performances worldwide. Before this comeback, however, the idol shared an Instagram story that alarmed many online, saying he wanted to sleep and not wake up to get rest finally.

After this, the idol shared that his mental state had improved, though he has still indicated that he is unhappy throughout his busy schedule. On September 23, it was announced that he would take a break.

On September 29, the idol shared an Instagram story saying that he would be “gone for good” in 2025, sparking concerns instantly.

The idol then tweeted goodnight on X, and replied to a fan who shared a message of support. His tweet further sparked worries, as the idol stated that the people around him were “the reason I’m dying.”

This tweet re-sparked concerns over the idol’s schedule and company affecting his mental health, with fans offering words of support and love to the idol.

I hope BamBam is able to find happiness and support in the ways that he desires in the near future

So I got to hug BamBam last night… and I'm still not okay.

They didn't take the pictures using our phone so I'm still impatiently waiting for them to upload the pictures somewhere for me to see. It was a bit of a blur. I just remember walking up to him, his arms outstretched, and he's like 'Hug?' and my dumb-ass only managed "Hug, please" xD

As for the concert, he was amazing, very lively, sweet, and he put on a helluva show! I'm so proud of him!

It was more of a showcase than a concert, so I hope he comes back again and we get to see him perform more of his songs, but I'm happy we got him period! (It's been like 5-6 years since I last saw him (with Got7) pre-Covid.)

it’s been a few days but i can’t get over the fact that i shouldntve doubted bambam because i really saw the teasers and told my coworker (who doesn’t listen to him) “these photos are so cunty but he doesn’t make cunty music”. obviously i like his music but i just wasn’t expecting the vibe of the song to match the album promos. but then he dropped last parade and the choreography. i’m proud. he’s really experimenting on this album but it all works and makes sense
