Juuuuuuust squeaking this in at flippin’ 11:30pm on the 31st, but I did it! I kept my goal to post at least one blog update per month.

I will admit that the VAST majority of the post (25min read out of 34min total estimated read time) is me recapping the finale of the Raymond Romanov vs Lang Buddha conflict from NoPixel. That said, the opening 8min IS me talking about my writing!

Tripitaka's first meeting with Xiaotian is an interesting one. He gets thrown in a cell as usual, but before the guard can lock it, a blur of dark fur and teeth strikes. Xiaotian is Wukong's son and every way, and Wukong was always a fighter. The problem is, as acrappy as Xiaotian is, he is untrained and doesn't hold the same strength as his godly mother. Not yet. So the guard is able to quickly and easily swat him away.

So Tripitaka is left in a cell, alone, with only a whimpering ball of fur for company until he decides to get a proper look at his cell mate and socks in his breath as he realizes just WHO he was trapped with. Wukong's son didn't have his fiery orange mane nor his red eyes, but the resemblance was unmistakable as wide golden eyes stared up at him in fear. This was no monster, no demonic beast. It was a child. His student's child, who was fighting back as best he could against captors much stronger than him.

Tripitaka sees part of himself in Xiaotian when he finally meets the boy for the first time; a child desperate to reunite with his mother but impeded by a cruel foe.

The first thing the monk finds himself doing is to hug the demonic child tight. Reassuring him that his leading disciple is the strongest demon he knows, and that they will be saved in due haste as long as they have faith.

The boy's four brightly-coloured ears twitch and relax as if detecting the certainty in the human man's words.

Tripitaka's breath catches in his throat. Multiple ears. Wukong had mentioned his mate had six.

During his soothing; the monk lets it slip that his disciple is in fact The Great Sage Equal to Heaven himself.

Xiaotian, eyes sparkling like sunlight: "MOM!?"

The boy wants to know everything. How the Tang Monk met his mother? Why did the Buddha put him under contract? How many foes have they faced? Does his mother like peaches as much as his father claims?

Tripitaka is nearly overwhelmed by the flurry of questions, but reminds himself that this is far preferable to the boy being in distress. He tries his best to relay in the events of the Journey up til now; speaking of how his disciple had defended him and his Pilgrim brothers from beasts, demons, and rogue celestials alike. And how even when the monk had truly doubted his bodyguard's judgement, how Sun Wukong still returned to his aid.

After many stories, the boy's ears twitch once more.

Xiaotian: (*excited stimming!*) Tripitaka: "What is it, child?" Xiaotian: "Dad's here." :D

And indeed he is. Soon even the monk can hear the sounds of guards and bandits running in terror at the approach of the Six Eared Macaque. The two prisoners take advantage of the carnage to flee their cell and hopefully find the monk's disciples and the boy's parents amongst all the fighting.

However, the reunion isn't clean.

Their captor, the Demon King of Havoc; grasps Xiaotian around the neck. A blade leering dangerously near his throat. Literally staring his parents in the face, his mother's for the first time, and the Prince doesn't dare breathe.

The old Demon King demands that the Monkey King and his allies stand down less they lose the dear Prince.

Tripitaka, emboldened by his own past; runs from his cover and starts making noise. Jangling his staff, yelling, waving his arms, throwing discarded weapons and armour; anything and everything to draw the Demon King's attention.

It's sufficient.

Xiaotian sneezes and transforms into a sparrow; taking advantage of his captor's slacked hold. He notices one of the weapons Tripitaka had tossed in his direction, and makes a swift decision.

With a single swing of the heavy polearm, the Monkey Prince's first official victory becomes the same as his mother's.

In the aftermath, the three monkeys hesitate to even speak. They had come so far and fought so many foes to reach this point that they cannot think of a single thing to say.

The Monkey King is ultimately the one to break the silence, albeit with a rather silly observation;

Wukong, tears streaming down his face: "How are you already taller than me? That's illegal." Xiaotian, bursting into sobs: "MOM!"

The two collide like meteorites, trying their best to fit nearly 500 years worth of hugs into one.

Macaque smiles tiredly, his soul satisfied to finally reunite his mate and their cub. His own reunion with his mate can wait for the moment - they have eternity after all. The Tang monk's selfless act to distract the Havoc King softens the Macaque's view on him.

The Pilgrims gain two unofficial members to the Journey after this point! Family bonding is desperately required, and whats a better way than a road trip?

reeding your Six ear backstory I'm curious on what the jttw gang thought of him? where they like:

Monkey: No idea (lie), but I am flattered! Not happy about everything else though.

it was a very "Fuck You. Random Chimp Event 🫵" moment because to the pilgrims, Six seemingly came out of nowhere and took Monkey's place after he was banished. later on they thought they had him back but it was an imposter! I'd imagine it was Sandy & Horsie who were suspicious of "Monkey", because Pigsy & Tripitaka were thinking of him as being much better than before, except it isn't really Monkey or Stick and neither were being aggravatingly annoying or frustratingly aggressive!!

Monkey only realised what Six was when he was just about to destroy him. with the No Killing Rule by Tripitaka, and Buddha & Lin's sympathy for him 500 years ago, he gives it a second thought to not kill this guy, who to his understanding is basically just a younger version of himself under different circumstances. in a way maybe it would've been like killing himself, or at least these negative aspects within that manifested to ruin his own life, metaphorical &/ literal self-sabotaging & harm if you will. because "Six" was initially pushed away & buried to the back of his mind, but bottling up ruins you, and that's exactly what almost came to be

so he does it again, but this time with a positive outlook and hope this six-eared macaque will understand that what he did was wrong during timeout. just as Buddha did for him once!

there isn't much to think of for the others since it was all so chaotic & confusing. one moment Monkey killed a bunch of guys and claims he didn't, and after being banished by Tripitaka for "lying & murder", he came back to apologise because apparently he did kill people! but it turns out no, he didn't, because that was the six-eared macaque who framed him, stole his identity, & almost got away with their luggage if it weren't for the real Sun Wukong! I don't think Monkey even tells/confirms to anyone about the fact that technically he created Six, so this is all his fault for not talking about his feelings 5 years ago, and he's still not going to talk about this maybe after 1,000 years because it's just so out of the blue!

Pigsy assumes that was just a rogue hair clone, he teases how more pleasant & tolerable Six was compared to the original, and prefers a quiet Stick. this earns him a bonk in the head

Tripitaka hopes that Monkey keeps his promise to free Six in 500 years & give a chance to redeem himself like he has for him. he's glad his youngest disciple didn't kill the specious macaque & is being considerate of other's feelings

Sandy was absolutely furious about fighting his own shadow, as Six borrowed it to match his prowess when they battled. I'd think he has ideas of his origin but it remains a quiet understanding and unspoken secret between him & Monkey

Horsie prefers the original and did not like Six even when he was in disguise. I imagine he instantly sensed it wasn't his friend but couldn't understand what was different. the vibes were just off but again, didn't say anything

and so after that kerfuffle, they'll carry on their journey like nothing happened to the next episode!

Agree with you on most of the new avatar points, but there was one part i was a bit curious about. You noted you think Korra claiming her arc was about learning empathy and the like through personal suffering was a disaster.

Now i dont actually disagree with the idea was not all that well executed overall(Like much of Lok), but it sounds like you dislike the on a more conceptual level.

I recall a lot of people were angry about it when LOK came out, but frankly speaking, this is 100% one of the bigget tennants of Buddhism, who's founder famously left behind his royal life and went out to seek all the bad parts of the world to grow.

Addmitingly, a large part of Buddha's message, was also that people should learn from his journey so they wouldn't have to go through quite the same level of suffering on their journey to enlightenment(Basically the middle way as he called it), but the point still stands.

And given this was very much a theme(If not as blatantly stated, and played more with) in ATLA, i never understood the hate it gets.

Well, the disaster I was referencing was mostly about the execution. As you say, the idea of learning empathy through suffering isn't a bad idea in a vacuum, and it's part of Zuko's journey in AtLA. Every story about a rich person (temporarily) losing their riches and becoming a better person is the same trope, and we all love those stories.

However, it was particularly bad with Korra because of a very specific combo attack. The first part was that Korra is one of the most empathetic people in LoK and was definitely the most empathetic person in the first season. Korra is impulsive and extreme in her reactions and quick to anger, but she's also very quick to show sympathy and compassion, immediately becoming kind and supportive to people like Lin, Tahno, and even Tarrlok as soon as they show hurt. In fact, her big mission in Republic City is supposed to be teaching its populace empathy, with the city's "imbalance" being that everyone was a jerk to her when she arrived. In a lot of cases where she flies off the handle and lets her anger get the better of her, it's because she's angry on behalf of other people who are suffering and she can't find another way to help them.

It's part of what makes Korra such a great character. We rightly knock on how a lot of blockbuster storytelling wants "likeable" rogues who lose all actual flaws in an attempt to keep from alienating audiences. Korra, meanwhile, really is a heavily flawed character who makes all kinds of situations worse, but it's balanced by her empathy and her readiness to help anyone who needs her. It's a big part of the reason I really like Korra as a character even though I heavily dislike LoK. I've seen it kicked around that Korra deserved a much better show, and I agree completely.

So the idea that she needs to learn empathy isn't just typical bad LoK storytelling- it's such a profound misunderstanding of the character that it almost feels like sabotage or gaslighting. Does the show really expect us to believe that Korra didn't have empathy for her enemies and needed to 'suffer' to learn it? Or, more accurately, she needs to be punished until she becomes a more traditionally feminine figure?

Because here's where the combo-attack comes in. LoK aired at a time when there was talk (at least from what I was seeing) about how a lot of action media was embracing the idea of female leads, but a suspicious amount of it had the female lead going through a lot of physical and mental punishment while wearing a short skirt and/or tight shirt. The extreme suffering was supposed to be sexy. Compare that to most male leads being allowed to suffer by watching their wife and kids get killed so that they angst and get revenge.

This isn't to say that LoK suddenly tried to be sexy torture porn. But it's kind of weird that in order to 'save' the show, the two 'good' seasons were suddenly about Korra being physically and mentally tortured, supposedly for the justification that she could become a 'better' person, after all the backlash from the fans about how she's angrier and more violent than Aang. And then Korra herself posits that if she hadn't been punished, she wouldn't have been able to talk Kuvira down at the end? Despite her reaching out to every single one of her other enemies before that?

It's not just a fumbled character arc, it's a suspicious swerve from the existing character arc for a controversial female character, hijacking what people saw as a pretty good exploration of PTSD and ruining what should have been the capstone of the big finale.

And people noticed. Especially Korra's fans.

So yeah, that's why I call it a disaster.

Personally, I'm one of the few people who didn't like Book Balance at all, so the the last-minute crash didn't ruin much for me. The rest of the bad storytelling had detached me from Korra, so I was more interested in the stupid giant robot, Mako's slow-mo non-sacrifice, Asami's dad's death being strangely unconnected to everything everyone else was doing, and the Korrasami controversy. But I did give a heavy roll of my eyes at actually having Korra say, "I needed to understand what true suffering was so I could be more compassionate to others, even to people like Kuvira." It was like the Bad Faith Character Bashing version of Korra suddenly stepped into the show and replaced the Korra who I had enjoyed in the first four episodes of LoK (which I still say stand up with the best of AtLA).

But, granted, it's probably not as big a disaster as the finale of Book Air. The creative team had a recurring problem with misunderstanding Korra's character arcs. Poor kid. But I guess that's what happens when two artists have to keep making up a character-driven story as they go along with no firm direction from the corporate overlords about when the story is supposed to end for an audience with high expectations.

After Azure had practically forced Red Son and his family into a bunch of scrolls, he really didn’t know how to feel. To start off, as he very clumsily appeared in the world of fake realities, he knew there would be no escaping any time soon. Second, his parents were were confined into separate scrolls and Buddha knows how they’re doing right now.

Red Son would like to think that they’re handling this well, but he knew a bit too much about his parents to think they’d be alright all alone. Just as he didn’t know what to feel right now, it was safe to say he was not at all alright.

Separating Red Son from his parents was one thing, but another was trapping him in a scroll and making him visit long buried memories.

The prince walked aimlessly along the vast garden, red peonies littered the place. He stared longingly at each rogue petal, at each sage leaf, at each unique design.. as if he forgot the simpler times.

“Why am I here?..”

He asked with a sigh, despite fully knowing the answer. The demon prince decided it would be best he sat down through this… miniature version of hell and wait, so waiting he did. He found a spot by those soft peonies and kneeled slowly, huffing softly.

“Out of all the places some scroll could’ve brought me to.. of course it was here.”

Then, all of a sudden… the sunset switched from a warm, nostalgic halo to a dark, inky mess. In that whole moment, it switched in between from dark and warmth before slowly turning to its darker counter part. Red Son yelped as he quickly turned to stand in a posture for defense. His flames kindled against his hands as he rapidly traced the newly unfamiliar place with his eyes.

“You know why you were brought here, don’t you?”

Came a voice he knew all too well.. considering it was his voice.

“After all, we are.. Red Son, son of the demon bull family and the prince of demons.”

I have an idea for Shadowpeach planning for atleast one more child after the Eclipse twins are running around by themselves.

It's the au version of Yuebei Xing/Yuebei (Wukong's daughter from the non-canon "Journey to the South" sequel). Her planned creation was interupted by a certain rogue bone spirit that tried to return to wreck vengance, but Diyu went "You daughter now". Shadowpeach were very amused by this outcome.

+Jidu and Luohou the Lunar Node twins from the same book? Shadowpeach concieves them on accident while planning Yuebei. Wukong bemoans his and Macaque's luck - especially since Wukong is the one carrying the "get two free deal".

For the other SWK's in the Wukongverse to witness these sins against the Heavens?

They know LMK Shadowpeach have kids. They know that they've had biological kids (which most of them is still trying to fathom). But to see them mid-process? It almost breaks their brains.

After a couple hours to process what they're seeing: eventually Netflix!SWK scrambles over with a million questions cus he's very excited to know what's going on in there. Reborn!SWK and HeroIsBack!SWK are grossed out, nauseous, confused, and wondering if it's even possible with their Macaques back home. NewGods!SWK and NewGods!Macaque are laughing cus they're happy with just having their adoptive Tudis. Smash!SWK pales and swears he'll never have kids (for now). Meihouwang!Shihou and Mihou wait shyly before asking to feel the bumps, both curious in their own ways.

Meihouwang!Mihou, ears to Macaque's stomach, amazed: "This one is sleeping." LMK!SWK: "Give it a moment." Meihouwang!Shihou, hand on LMK!SWK's stomach: "Wow! This one moved!!" Meihouwang!Mihou: "...no wait, this one just woke up. It's angry. Did it somehow feel it's brother moving from all the way over there?" LMK!Shadowpeach: "Yup, thats right." "Separate rooms and they still find a way to fight." The Other SWK's with their gold-vision on: 0_0 x4 Reborn!SWK: "Oh sweet Buddha. They're trying to fight using a sympathetic connection." So yeah, the other Sun Wukongs are a little shaken up by the experience.

Brains, Minds (consciousnesses), and the Great Universe

Brains are the bridges between consciousnesses (minds) and the great universe. The great universe that is seen, heard, smelled, tasted, and felt is processed by brains into minds. Brains would die without the great universe. Brains can be activated by observing and experiencing the great universe, and they will become quicker and smarter thusly; that is why we have the saying, “Read a thousand of books and travel a thousand miles.”

Apart from interpreting sensations, the brain is also capable of thinking. The closer we look, the deeper we feel about the things and phenomena that we sense, the more developed our brains become, and the more powerful our minds become.

Our minds are determined by the information and data provided to our brains which come from the great universe. That is to say, the great universe that a person experiences determines the person’s mind, which is why there are “wolf children” and “deer children’, as well as the origin of the belief that, “The bel-esprits reside on green mountains with sparkling water while rogues live on barren hills with turbulent rivers”, and the reason to, “Keep the company of good people and you shall be counted among their numbers”.

From this we can draw the conclusion that the environment creates human minds. Different environments create different LIFE:

The environments of animals bring up animals.

The human environment brings up people.

The environment of Celestial Beings brings up Celestial Beings.

The environment of Buddha brings up Buddhas.

This environment known as the great universe includes both the material world environment and the nonmaterial world environment; the reality environment and the super reality environment. The reality material environment is the great universe that we see, hear, smell, taste and feel. The super reality nonmaterial world includes the great universe written in books, sent to computers and TV screens, dreamed by our subconscious minds, and imagined in our minds.

Always remember that you can know the principles and ways to have a sublime LIFE, but you MUST live in the corresponding environment of LIFE level in order to achieve the LIFE in which you desire to be.

Those who are surrounded by animals and animals’environment are animals;

Those who are surround by people and people’s environment are people;

Those who are surrounded by Celestial Beings and Celestial’s environment are Celestial Beings;

Those who are surrounded by Buddha and Buddha’s environment are Buddha;

Those who are surrounded by gods and gods’ environment are gods.

People who live with people in the human world for a long time cannot become Celestial Beings or attain Buddhahood. If one wants to go there, they must live in environments that possess those attributes; live in their worlds. The New Oasis for Life created by Lifechanyuan is the environment of Celestial Beings where Celestial Beings live. So, if you want to become a Celestial Being, you must live in the New Oasis for Life.

A brain cannot exist independently, but a mind can

A brain is restrained by the material world, but a mind is not.

A brain is material, but a mind is nonmaterial.

People carry the genes of consciousness information from many previous lives. The good and bad of the “root of wisdom” rely on the consciousness of their genetic information. That is the origin of the so-called genius. Generally speaking, people who have never lived in heaven in any of their previous lives cannot become a Celestial Being or attain Buddhahood and will have to go through the same difficulty as someone who wants to become a singer but has a rough, untuned voice.

Genius is not cultivated, but is innate.

The so-called innate means that they have acquired certain qualities throughout many previous lives.

The so-called LIFE is the soul; and the so-called soul is consciousness.

Consciousness determines the nature and level of LIFE.

Therefore:

A brain is a channel for information from the great universe to enter a mind.

A brain is dead without the great universe and cannot survive without it.

Minds are independent and can exist even without the great universe.

The great universe can be created by a mind.

The great universe plays a decisive role in the formation of minds.

In order to attain the mind of a Celestial Being or to attain Buddhahood, one must associate with Celestial Beings and Buddhas and live in their world.

TV THEORY AND DISABILITIES: no such thing

I PERSONALLY DON'T BELIEVE IN ANYTHING TO DO WITH ACTUAL DISABILITIES BEING DISPLAYED (AS YOU KNOW MY BLOGS

I personally don't believe in anything to do with actual disabilities being displayed (as you know my blogs) being inherent on knowledge as being is believing only given by trust thought intuition (self-taught) like what i have had with my autism is that i had struggled with comprehension and learning throughout school and my grade in thinking did not last longer compared to the innumerable ways to think outside the box did not let me 'be a better person' than i am with anybody better than myself than i than you are to me.

Like the thought of 'being disabled' does not come at a cost but who i speak up for, and naturally we all struggle in a way of understanding, but we all have limits that does not over-preach the top of who we truly wanted to be at large.

But me knowing my self-esteem is displayed so up above that my way of learning to be fond with time was nostalgia and what that does is that you make a reality an escape for believing the norms have a dream than to make one shy buddha believe in a reason for humanity to die because he was an abliest prick hating on a good mans daughter (like anyone who can stand up to bandits, of course is naturally a hero, so the eye is taken away to a serious and painful death of a good daughter gone rogue)

And how super-hero sequences don't often relay the loved ones i met along the way (Raven: Teen Titans). My perceptions though, stay with the ideals of what Raven could have had because my interest with introverts made me too fond and sincere to retaliate against the norms of what a silent home could look like if you were dead the next second by possession (doesn't that look a little too familliar). So what happens next is that you don't want to take your reality out on a lie by the all-seeing eye that you hate me from believing in a trick of the trap that you were almost dead to you being 'the next great thing' to everyone's hate in the eye of the world of a father (Raven's world end). Now you're believing in the familiar of your life now in heaven than it is to you in hell of bringing your world and fantasy alive by thought (dissociation, i don't blame the events either of a feeling you're trying too hard to chase), but likely so, Raven has alternates.

Raven is cosmically the one superhero ever to have a dream, but so on; Raven is actually the most sincerest woman on the planet that she herself believed to have made love to a God that adored her too heartfelt that she knew the world made love right back at her. And where i'm going with this is that there is no such thing as disabilities. Over the events of time, you'll discover that world inside your head has a limit in intake of your gut instinct that drives you away from this world to relieve itself and that is nostalgia and you'll only ever feel that with your partner (neuro-divergent kids know).
