hey do you ever think about how selfish and egoistical monkey supposedly is for seeking out a group of people too big to not acknowledge him, because they are the most significant beings in the universe that are supposedly the most worthy to wield an ultimate weapon like stick, because a supposedly wise and elder monkey said a weapon like that should be wielded by an immortal one, because monkey only listens to the elder for being the only person to have ever acknowledged him when he was young, because when he sought out to be loved he received advice that he didn't listen to got another baby killed, because he spent half of his mortal life trying to redeem himself not because he felt bad for indirect death but for a mistake that hardly traumatized him because he didn't care about someone he didn't know, how could he care about anyone but himself when no one's ever bothered to care about him, and when he succeeded in trying anyway despite getting his ass kicked cause all he needed was help he was told he still wasn't good enough, and thus spends the other half of his mortal life to be worthy of someone too big to turn him down, because his own kind that aren't even technically his own kind because he's the only thing that ever was couldn't accept him because he was too much, because he was just born and discovering himself, because he's never received an act of kindness and been rejected by everyone he's ever come across that he's conditioned to think that this is a normal way to treat others, that despite this he still goes out of his way to consider stick's desires and lin's woes, that it wasn't about the collective troop itself, but that none of them interjected or challenged the elder to support monkey even though they celebrate him, that he can't take no for an answer because that's all he's ever been told, his very existence is a crime so he was wrong from the very beginning, how could he accept that

he's totally a bad person for going out of his way to conquer demons that saves villages & lives and not even settle for those rewards & praise for having a specific goal in mind that's totally not related to his significance to somebody just as, if not more

if they accept him for being too much, for being him, everyone else will follow, right? right??

I love it when characters have some kind of weird bond between them. Psychics bonds, telepathic links, empathy links, soul bonds, and whatever else. What if you were always aware of the people you loved? What if you could feel their presence in a way beyond the five senses? What if they could never fully hide themselves from you? What if you could never fully hide yourself from them?

we don't appreciate fucked up sibling dynamics in media as much as we should. what if this was the person who knew you the best in the whole world but also didn't really know you, and they were everything you wanted to be but also the worst parts of yourself reflected back in a way you couldn't help but love. and you looked at them and felt apathetic and overwhelmed with emotion at the same time and you would be someone entirely different without them. they were a part of you and it hurt. what if the most important person to you was also the one who caused you the most heartbreak. what then
