We should have gotten a callback to the Roy and Jamie both bringing Keeley coffee and her compromising by pouring them together to spare the tension

But instead of it being Roy and Jamie both bringing Keeley something, it’s Roy and Keeley both bringing Jamie something

Like Jamie’s fucked in the head in Manchester and Roy and Keeley both go oh shit I don’t know what to do in this situation and they just both awkwardly bring him a tea to his hotel room when the team first arrived and is getting settled like two minutes apart as an excuse to check on him and an attempt to do something and now Jamie’s pouring the one Roy brought into what’s left of the one he’s been drinking that Keeley just gave him

(Also, I’m imagining they’re two totally different kinds of tea that do not seem like they would be that great together and Roy and Keeley are wincing at each other over it while depressed Jamie’s just drinking it like he doesn’t even notice)

Then the seasons over and Roy and Jamie are taking a break from the getting up before dawn to train thing and they don’t yet have specific training plans or anything, but Roy shows up at Jamie’s house with a coffee for him to check in on him and come up with a training plan (but really just to chat him up because it’s Roy’s routine to see Jamie every morning anyway and he’s sticking to it even if it’s not in a training and ridiculously early way)

And then Keeley stops by with a coffee for Jamie to check in on him and see him and thinks oh fuck this is going to be weird, isn’t it? Because she expects Roy to be jealous that she’s showing up at Jamie’s house and it to be some weird thing now that they’re back in a both bringing Jamie drinks situation when it’s not because Jamie’s in crisis mode and neither of them knows what else to do to try to help kind of way

But instead Roy’s just moving over to make room for her and seems perfectly happy to see her there. And instead of Jamie pouring the drinks together, he’s decides he’s not going to drink it all anyway so they all just share the two coffees and pass them around

the thing about that season 3 finale scene that shouts ot3 or royjamie the most to me is Jamie hugging Rebecca! Since when are those two close and not just work-familiar? He and Keeley weren't together anymore by the time Keeley and Rebecca became closer friends and while I'm sure the environment Ted created makes sure there's more interaction between players and the boss, I still feel like Jamie hugging her is the equivalent of when Roy became friends with Rebecca by dating Keeley. So now Jamie became closer because he's either dating both of Rebecca's friends or because he's dating Coach Roy.

rkj is together but it's very, very new and one day roy gets all possessive af with jamie and jamie's not unhappy with it but he's jamie so he still has to poke and prod, so he says "i know keeley doesn't let you get away with this shit" and roy says "yeah, which is why you're gonna take enough of it for two" and jamie says

“The wound is still hot,” Roy commented as he pressed his hand to the sensitive gash on the back of Jamie’s head. “Fuck off,” Jamie hissed, batting Roy’s hand away from the still healing flesh. “Heat in a wound is a sign of infection,” Roy resumed his ministrations without a moment’s pause. “It’s fucking hot because I have every blanket in this damn place on me and if I so much as put a cup of tea down Keeley provides another one,” Jamie waved the half empty cup in his hand to demonstrate his point. “Do you need more blankets babe?” Keeley popped her head out of the kitchen. “No, please god no,” Jamie groaned, massaging his temples. “What I do need is to be getting on that flight with you to Brazil today.” “Absolutely not,” Roy growled, now done with the bandage and tape reapplied to Jamie’s head wound. “I’m fine. I’m only slightly concussed and my chest is feeling a lot better,” Jamie whined, well aware he sounds like a five year old. Well more like a five year old with a smoking problem which didn’t help with the claims that his chest was fine.
