First of the Rifts in Time Links made by @twilightangel83 for @lozriftsintime. I had a lot of fun making these four for the AU and worked with TwilightAngel when figuring out what roles they would have in regards to Nier: Automata. As I finish more I'll work on getting solo references done so it's easier to see the full outfits as the poses make it hard to show them completely and with the size there are details that I have planned and need to omit so it doesn't get too busy. When I do solo references I'll try and go into details regarding their roles and design choices for any of the Links that I finish.

Separation: Ice and Snow

October 9: Scar Reveal (AI-Less Whumptober)

A 2 on my whump scale (see the series definition for the scale)

Geode would like it to be in the record that they did not enjoy the snow. Even Sapphire, their resident water and ice mage, had too much trauma related to ice and snow to fully enjoy it. So getting dropped on what seemed to be the top of an icy mountain was not their idea of a good time. And it was only made worse by the fact that something appeared to have gone wrong with the portal they had gone through. The whole thing had felt weirder than normal, and for some reason the only other person who had ended up where they were was Twilight. And neither of them had any idea where the rest of their group was. Which, you know, wasn’t good. Even Onyx was missing!

So, naturally, another fun effect to all of this was the headache they were developing from Ruby’s fretting and Iolite trying to figure out what could have gone wrong to cause this.

Geode was just glad that they at least had one of their companions with them. And, to be completely honest, Twilight was probably one of the best to have along with them in this sort of situation. Wolfie’s ability to track was going to be very useful in the near future, plus the cold didn’t seem to bother him once he’d changed into the cold-resistant outfit he had (he’d even shared a set of cold-resistant earrings with them!). The only other person Geode might have preferred would have been Fox. Since Fox seemed to know how to survive in just about any situation, and always had more than enough food and other supplies to help them manage. 

But that wasn’t the point right now! The point was the five of them were currently on a frozen mountain top trying to find a safe way down. Twilight had volunteered to carry them down using his magic, but they’d have to go for a while and he’d never flown that long, let alone while carrying someone. So they had decided to save that for a last resort.

Instead, they were plodding their way through way-too-deep snow. Twilight in the lead to press the snow down some so Geode could follow with their much shorter legs.

“Any guesses what era we’re in?” Geode called up, hoping to find something to distract themselves with. “This sort of mountain looks like it could be in Fox’s right? But that can’t be. Since there aren’t any islands in the sky.”

“It could,” Twilight agreed, glancing back. “But it’s not. Unfortunately. If it was, I'd be able to figure out where we are, and get us out of here much faster. But no. It’s not Fox’s and it’s not mine. Doesn’t look like Lorule either. But that doesn’t help us rule too many out, unfortunately.” Geode hummed in frustrated agreement. Ruling three possible worlds out was good, but there were still plenty left to choose from.

“I don’t think it’s Dove’s either. Since we caught sight of what looked like a town down off the mountain. And Dove only has one settlement on the Surface so far.”

“True.” Twilight agreed with a nod, focusing back in front of himself. “Hopefully getting to that town will help us figure out exactly where we are. And with any luck some of our group will be there too.” There was a sharp, worried edge there and Geode caught themself frowning. That was right. With how well Twilight had been after the whole group had formed they’d almost forgotten how desperately Twilight had been to get back to Fox when they first met. The other hero was probably just as desperate to find Fox as they were to find Onyx.

“Don’t worry Twi, we’ll get you back home soon enough.”

Arranged marriage for the meme!

Yay! I don't have a vivid imagination for this trope, so more than half are cases where the arranged marriage is totally canon.

Thorn/Ophélie (La passe-miroir/The Mirror Visitor)

It's very classic arranged marriage (for supernatural reasons) turns into resentment that stops them from realizing the good things about the other turns into alliance turns into unspoken love (painful for the reader) and maybe more? It fully worked on me. I especially loved how the description of Thorn (the book is Ophélie PoV) turn from uncharitable descriptions of an average looking man to very horny descriptions of an average looking man.

If you don't know the series, I can advertise it more. It's good French fantasy.

2. Louis/Caesar (Kimi o Shinasenai tame no Monogatari)

Yeah I have at least one m/m canon arranged marriage, is a dystopian future where romantic partners and reproduction partners are totally disconnected. It's a painful case of arranged marriage with love only on one side, it's a mess and they don't make it work. I enjoyed it though. ^^

3. Xavin/Karolina (Runaways)

In the category: arranged marriage to end a war. This one starts with love only one one side (it helps that one of them was raised to see this marriage as a positive thing and the other never heard about it), but they make it work. For a while. Because they're separated because you can't get peace that easily. Not the main romance for Karolina, but my fave.

4. David/Josiane (L'homme qui rit)

This one has a creepy age difference, but the relationship is fun despite it. They're capricious nobility of the kind "we could have loved each other so much, but the fact that our parents decided this for us is totally ruining the concept". I have hope for them in the future.

5. MIlly/Lloyd (Code Geass)

They are a case who absolutely don't fall in love with each other and break the engagement. I think their personalities go well together, though, and that they could have been good friends if not for the "ugh" reaction of being arranged engaged.

6. Khonnen/Leah (The Dybbuk)

Tragic version! Their parents engaged them to each other before they were born, and because of this they feel drawn to each other (it's a world with magic) and fall in love. Leah's uncle has forgotten about the promise and wants his niece to marry a rich man. The boy dabbles in dark magic to get her anyway and dies, but his ghost is possessing her. It's absolutely not healthy. Still shipping it.

7. Philip/Elizabeth (The Americans)

Communist spies in the eighties who are technically work colleagues but have a marriage licence and actual children. It's a slow burn romance and I love it.

8. Eponine/Marius (Les Misérables)

This one is absolutely not canon! I don't know why, I came across the idea of Marius thinking he has to marry Eponine out of gratefulness for Thénardier saving his father, either because he's naive, or because Thénardier is manipulating him, and I thought it had potential for being absolutely awful (complimentary)!

9. Ciel/Elizabeth (Black Butler)

You know, they're cute (they're cousins but I don't care). As of recently in the manga it's more complicated than this, but if anything it made me ship it even more.

10. Twilight/Yor (Spy x Family)

Both got married to have a cover for their (opposite sides) spy activities. Neither knows about it. It's written as cute anyway, on the arranged marriage that becomes real side, with their common affection for their (arranged) daughter a big part of the feelings. It works for me.

I'm a larrie. And I have a lot to unpack so if you don't want to answer this I get it but Buckle uppp

So I saw dwd teaser and I was weirdly aroused by that aggressive kissing scene. I was like ew (not because Harry and Florence aren't attractive persons but the context..) Unfortunately these types of toxic traits are romanticised so wildly. I got out of an abusive relationship and during the relationship i always thought giving your partner whatever they want is what love is and roughhousing around is what desire is and all that horrible things because that's what has been in the books I read and movies I watch throughout my childhood (not blaming anyone obv but just saying). If twilight is creepy then 50 shades of grey is a mindfuck. I know that it isn't healthy to base your love life on those now, but once upon a time it was the craze. The idea of innocence and corruption was idealized too much. I hated bdsm and I thought it was demeaning for a long time untill I stumbled upon a Tumblr post passionately dragging 50 shades through the mud and listing resources upon resources for safe bdsm practicing and crying about how there isn't a contract because nobody is selling their soul to anybody and it is a mutually beneficial relationship based on trust. So I kinda get why het harries are eating that up(not saying it's good. It's very very bad. I beleive our media consumption plays a role in our life and if this is what they idealize then I feel sad to think about their relationship) . That wasn't even a kiss !! That was aggressive and I'm pretty sure Alex (that's what Harry's character is rit?) was holding on to Florence's upper arms hard and was kinda hard to watch for me. I will obviously not be watching the movie cause it deals with many of my triggers and Harry is one of my comfort persons and I don't wanna see him act that way (eventhough I know it's a movie.. the subconscious mind is a mess) So if you're one of the kids who frequent Gina's blog solely to annoy her or us larries with horrible opinions of Harry (or Louis) .. keep in mind that this is not real life. I've been there and it was hard to get out of the relationship and I'm still facing the consequences and building yourself up after been torn down is not easy.

I feel kinda sad because you have mountains of instances and moments of Harry and Louis' loving, healthy relationship - supporting eachother, loving and writing songs about adoring eachother and having an incredible dynamic and beautiful personalities. And instead they focus on those superficial beards and their hand-hovering-on-waist-pictures. It's so not worth it and I don't know how they'll react to the real world. I will never sympathize with someone who are homophobic (or whatever reasons they give to not believe Larry) but I pity them.

Anyway it's not our job to make them understand anything but I just wanted to rant. Hope I haven't clogged up your anons too much!!

Hi darling. You haven’t clogged anything up at all. It’s actually a subject I’m really passionate about. Media (film/tv/books/advertising etc) has created a world where so many young (and not so young) people think the way you did. The idea of the “bad boy” tamed by the love of a “good woman” is so ingrained in our culture, that people fall into incredibly unhealthy relationships and confuse abuse with love and affection.

I know that clip in the teaser is barely seconds long, but people are very focused on it. Harry’s character, Jack, is a horribly abusive sociopath in this film. Zelda’s Tabard Sewing Guide

Here’s a detailed look at what went into making Zelda’s tabard for my Twilight Princess costume. There are plenty of other ways to approach this project, but this is my take on the design! 

My pattern for this tabard is available in my shop! If you’re working on your own Zelda cosplay, check it out and save yourself some time. 

I decided to work with leather and silk, which are some of my favorite materials. The purple, gold, and green are all pigskin leather, while the blue is silk dupioni. My supplies come from Silk Baron and Hide House.

Although I started with plain light blue silk (in the color “windswept”) I needed to apply a gradient leading into a darker blue. I did this with regular RIT dye, dipping continuously between a dye pot and clean water to create an ombre effect. I found that a low concentration of dye allowed me more control over how much pigment the fabric would absorb. I made several attempts before I ended up with the more subtle effect I was going for (far right in the above image). Trial and error is all a part of the process.

My tabard layers were assembled in this order:

a backing layer of white vinyl (to prevent any colors from rubbing off on the white dress below)

blue ombre silk background

green suede background (solid underneath the gold designs)

gold applique/binding

green suede binding

purple applique design

the brass triforce

All of the fabric/leather layers were held in place with basting spray and/or a fabric glue stick, which are both designed to temporarily hold fabric in place while you stitch it. This prevents the applique from shifting around, and it’s especially useful for materials you can’t put pins through, like leather.

The gold applique presented the biggest challenge. It is depicted as continuous -- simultaneously a border and a complex inset design -- with no seams from top to bottom. To accomplish this, I added a seam allowance around the border portion so that it could wrap around the body of the tabard like a binding. I treated the rest of the gold piece as a normal leather applique, top-stitching the edges. 

The pattern in my store contains two versions of the gold piece -- both with and without the border seam allowance -- to accommodate other methods or materials you might choose instead.

Unlike the gold, the green binding is separate from the green background piece. I cut the green binding flush against the gold where they meet. 

Wonderclips (the little red clips) are another excellent tool for sewing leather. They are a great substitute for fabric pins because they do not make holes in the material and they create less distortion as you feed your fabric through a sewing machine.

The finishing touch on this tabard is a decorative Triforce shape. I decided to use brass for this instead of leather so that it would stand out from everything else. It’s also a warmer gold than the applique/border color, which is consistent with the reference image.

My Triforce is made up of three triangular brass stampings I found on Etsy. I used a small jewelry hole punch to make holes at each corner, then riveted them through all layers of the tabard with tiny jewelry rivets.

Ultimately, this was my favorite piece to make out of the entire Zelda costume. Although topstitching everything neatly was rather tedious, I absolutely love the final look.

More Magick from Lughnasadh Weekend

Having focussed on safety for the past two posts, I nevertheless feel the need to share with you another bit of amazing - though distressing - bit of magick which occurred within that ritual, after John Barleycorn (aka Lugh) was slain.

When the god was cut down, I hit the ground, desperately trying not to gasp from the exertion of the fight my body had been through. I was supposed to be dead, after all. Once Sword Circle had delivered the coup de grace, they covered my body with a semi-transparent sheet. The ritual attendees then filed past my byre, before being led off to the main ritual circle, singing the ballad of John Barleycorn.

After the last person had filed past and was safely on their way, I leapt up and hoofed it into a nearby building, while Sword Circle cleared away my byre and replaced it with an identical one bearing an effigy of Lugh (which looked suspiciously like me), and covered that with the same sheet. This was then hefted by the warriors of Sword, and carried into the ritual circle, where it was placed upon a prepared pyre.

In hiding, I was doing my level best to keep the deep connection I had had with Lugh from re-establishing itself, since the main ritual consisted of immolating his body.

During the ritual, Sword, Song and Spell Circles all worked to raise energy, building toward the climax when the pyre would be lit. By this point, the sun was setting, and the late-afternoon shadows has merged into twilight. Everyone could still see, but night was closing in fast.

Sword Circle’s part of the ritual consisted of more choreography, more ritualized, like a dance rather than combat - but still with the same sharpened weapons. Again, we had rehearsed this all exhaustively, and I was confident that everyone could perform their part safely in my absence.

That evening, after the ritual was over, the members of Sean Ciall convened in the room in which I had been sequestered, for a post-ritual grounding and debrief. After everyone had been there for a little while, it became apparent that we were still waiting for two members of Sword Circle. These two happened to be dating, so their was some good-natured speculation as to what might be holding them up, and some grumbling from those who wanted to get the post-rit gathering over with, so they could go join in the revelry we could hear outside.

Eventually, the couple showed up, and we all grounded, then the post mortem (pun absolutely intended) began. It was then that we learned why these two had been slow to join us.

“I cut off his thumb,” the female partner told us.

“WHAT?!” we all yelped.

“Yep,” the male partner affirmed, holding up the digit in question, flexing it. It was obviously whole and uninjured.

But deep in the ritual, as the two of them confronted each other in the course of the ritual dance, they traded blows, and as she swung her sword at him, both of them felt her blade slip past the guard of his sword and bite into his thumb, severing it. The ritual had them, though, and they continued on, completing the choreogrphy as they had rehearsed. It was only after the ritual that they discovered that his hand was intact.

It was very reminiscent of my own experience with Lugh’s spear. Among our number were some very experienced, knowledgeable magicians and ritualists who had practiced in several traditions, but none of us knew what to make of it.

In the years since, I have formulated several theories, but I don’t suppose we’ll ever know for sure. What I can say, without any doubt, is that there was some seriously powerful magick going on that weekend.

HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS - PART. 2 (2011) Dernier opus pour la saga HARRY POTTER (2001-2011), avec cette seconde partie cinématographique des RELIQUES DE LA MORT: après une PART. 1 (2010) qui changeait sa perspective en éloignant Harry & Co. loin de Poudlard avec en plus un paquet d’Horcruxes -les fragments d’âme de Voldemort, l’ennemi juré du sorcier- à détruire, David Yates achève le conte avec le final épique que l’on espérait. On ne le dira jamais assez, mais le réalisateur s’est réapproprié la saga, après les errances post-Chris Colombus: ambiance sobre et sombre, THE DEATHLY HALLOWS 2 laisse place à l’action, au rythme trépidant, ainsi qu’à une violence inattendue pour un produit de studio à l’origine “tout public”. Les morts s’empilent, et l’étau de l’histoire se resserre: Yates rattrape même son léger reveal de THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE (2009), icônisant à jamais le protagoniste “de second rôle”, Severus Rogue -le grand R.I.P. Alan Rickman-. Bien que le long-métrage envoie du lourd côté affrontements magiques, THE DEATHLY HALLOWS 2 intègre malgré lui une courte scène où le Seigneur des Ténèbres -on n’es ttoujours pas convaincu par le maquillage et le jeu de Ralph Fiennes- se marre, euh... disons de manière totalement ridicule, pour être poli -ça équivaut AU MOINS au rire débile de Aro dans TWILIGHT CHAPTER V - REVELATION (2012)-: de quoi presque sortir du long-métrage. On admire la ténacité de Harry, la bravoure de ses compagnons d’infortune, et les féroces batailles qui auront lieu dans une Poudlard transformée en siège de guerre magique: THE DEATHLY HALLOWS 2 apporte ainsi un épilogue intelligent à la licence, dont le personnage principal a, comme ses spectateurs -et comme les lecteurs des romans de J.K. Rowling-, grandi avec les années. Véritable symbole du passage à l’âge adulte, ce chapitre final régale par sa fidélité globale aux livres, mais surtout par sa prise en compte de sept précédents films: Yates prouve à jamais qu’il est LE réalisateur destiné à mettre en scène pour les écrans de cinéma les œuvres de Rowling, au même titre qu’un certain Zack Snyder envers DC -une autre époque-. Le casse à Gringotts à dos de dragon est énorme, on rit rarement, on pleure quand même: une chose est sûre, on ne s’ennuie jamais. Y’a plus qu’à se remater THE FANTASTIC BEASTS (2016) pour aller voir sa suite!  GRAND FINALE /20

Brach à son plus mature et ambitieux. Il surprend avec des pièces envoutantes et des paroles recherchées et plus originales que jamais.

#2 Kendrick Lamar / DAMN.

Kendrick revient en force avec un album tout aussi excellent que son dernier To Pimp a Butterfly. DAMN. excelle avec son énergie contagieuse et ces paroles qui hissent Kung Fu Kenny au sommet du panthéon des meilleurs rappeurs. Du gros stuff, cet album.

#1 Father John Misty / Pure Comedy

Father John Misty nous arrive avec un album à l’image de son époque. Il infuse son sens de l’humour satirique à ses textes profonds et poignants. L’album, étant très long n’est pas une écoute facile, mais il en vaut le coup. Mon gros coup de coeur musical de l’année.

Des dialogues familliaux réalistes qui valent le détour. Le tout est un film fort poignant et très charmant. Also, Adam Sandler dans un excellent film! 4/5

 Get Out / Jordan Peele 

Un satire d’horreur divertissant, très original et nécessaire. Jordan Peele du duo humoristique Key & Peele affirme avec son premier long-métrage qu’il a plus d’une corde à son arc. 4/5

 Dunkirk / Christopher Nolan

Le nouveau Nolan est tout aussi riche, grandiose et spectaculaire qu’à son habitude. Un film de guerre inhabituel qui propose une trame narrative très expérimentale. 4/5

 Paterson / Jim Jarmusch

Minimaliste, poétique et charmant. Adam Driver affirme sa place aux côtés des plus grands acteurs de sa génération. 4/5

 Personal Shopper / Olivier Assayas

Une histoire de fantôme inhabituelle et captivante qui ne fait pas unanimité, mais qui m’a marqué. Kristen Stewart commence maintenant à être une grande actrice. 4/5 

#11 The Bad Batch / Ana Lily Amirpour (yep, un #11)

Ci-haut: Jason Momoa pis son gros butcher knife.

Un énergumène cinématographique tellement étrange, original et éclaté. Un film chaotique et si imparfait sur une société dystopienne cannibale. Un film de genre subversif et franchement unique. J’adore la fascination qu’Amirpour à envers les corps humains. Also, Keanu Reeves a une moustache glorieuse et Jim Carrey???????

#10 The Lost City of Z / James Gray

Le dernier de James Gray est une fascinante odyssée à travers l’Amazonie que je ne suis pas près d’oublier. Se situant juste entre l’Aguirre de Herzog et l’Apocalypse Now de Coppola (deux de mes films préférés), Z se sert des formules habituelles d’un biopic pour rendre son sujet accessible à un plus large public. Le film excelle au plus haut niveau dans ses moments de silences et de comtemplation. C’est beau, poétique et captivant.

#9 The Killing of a Sacred Deer / Yorgos Lanthimos

Une tragédie brillamment orchestrée par le génie derrière The Lobster et Dogtooth. Farrell et Kidman y sont au top de leur jeu, mais la plus grande performance se trouve dans le personnage de Barry Keoghan, qui incarne l’antagoniste le plus troublant et inquiétant depuis quelque temps. Il a tout le mérite pour avoir rendu une scène de souper spaghetti extrêmement perturbante. L’expérience cinéma la plus stressante de l’année.

#8 Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi / Rian Johnson

Le meilleur Star Wars depuis The Return of the Jedi en 1983. Du pur plaisir cinématographique. N’étant pas un grand fan des derniers The Force Awakens et Rogue One, le dernier opus de la plus populaire saga de tout les temps m’a grandement ébloui. The Last Jedi est une grande odyssée épique qui coupe graduellement les ponts avec son passé et ses formules habituelles. Le retour de Mark Hamill est magnifique tout comme le sont les nouveaux membres du casting tel Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley et Oscar Isaac. C’est tellement satisfaisant à voir et à revoir dès que possible.

#7 120 Battements par Minute / Robin Campillo

Le mouvement Act Up-Paris et l’épidémie de sida des années 1980-1990 est le contexte de ce drame extrèmement poignant, cru et troublant. Gagnant du Grand Prix du jury à Cannes cette année, 120 battements est un film nécessaire et que nul n’est près d’oublier. La chanson Smalltown Boy de Bronski Beat y est judicieusement bien utilisée.

#6 Logan / James Mangold

Oui oui. Logan, l’ennième film d’une saga qui perd un peu le pied et le fil de sa trame narrative figure dans ma liste. Logan n’est pas un film de superhéro, Logan est la déconstruction d’un film de superhéro. En s’inspirant du genre du western, Mangold parvient à humaniser et vulnérabiliser son protagoniste. C’est un film brutal, sanglant comme jamais et qui donne à Hugh Jackman la chance de jouer son rôle iconique pour une dernière fois. Quelque chose qui arrive jamais dans l’univers actuel de reboots, recasts et suites qui n’en finissent plus.

#5 Blade Runner 2049 / Denis Villeneuve

Denis Villeneuve strikes back. L’idée de faire une suite au chef d’oeuvre de Ridley Scott aurait pû tourner en fiasco, mais heureusement le prolifique cinéaste québécois à réussi à créer un film qui approfondit les idées de son prédescesseur tout en ayant la dose parfaite d’unicité. La direction photo de Roger Deakins est à en couper le souffle, donnez-lui son Oscar au plus criss. Blade Runner 2049 est un film riche en thèmes, en questions et mérite sa place au rang des plus grand films de science-fiction.

#4 The Square /  Ruben Östlund

Un grand morceau de cinéma est le plus récent récipiendaire de la prestigieuse Palme d’Or du Festival de Cannes. The Square est un satire original sur l’art, la société et l’obsession d’être politically correct. C’est également un film qui défie son spectateur et ses propres perceptions sur la vie comme sur sa confiance envers les autres par exemple. Fait-tu vraiment confiance aux autres? Probablement pas en fait.

#3 Toni Erdmann / Maren Ade

Une parfaite comédie dramatique qui représente avec brio une relation père/fille extrèmement malaisante. C’est hilarant (ça faisait longtemps que je n’avais pas autant rit au cinéma), original, excentrique et profondément touchant. Toni Erdmann est un grand hommage à la maladresse de la vie et une réflexion fort inhabituelle sur le bonheur. Un must-see.

#2 The Shape of Water / Guillermo Del Toro

La nouvelle création du réalisateur de Pan’s Labyrinth et The Devil’s Backbone est absolument grandiose. Shape of Water est l’une des plus belles histoires d’amour jamais portées au grand écran. Et voir ce film sur le plus grand écran possible rend justice à sa beauté et à la richesse de sa direction photo et artistique. Le casting est parfait; Sally Hawkins est à son top, Michael Shannon est aussi terrifiant qu’à son habitude et Doug Jones livre une nouvelle performance spectaculaire dans la peau d’une créature de Del Toro avec qui il a souvent collaboré. Un grand et magnifique chef d’oeuvre.

#1 Good Time / Josh & Benny Safdie

Un long-métrage bourré de suspense, de grands moments de tension et déjà empreint de magnifiques scènes d’anthologie cinématographique. Good Time est un film risqué, poignant, coloré, vibrant et dangereux qui brille autant que les cheveux blonds de Robert Pattinson. Celui-ci y signe sa plus grande performance avec ce rôle de bad boy aux choix moraux douteux qui va trop loin au nom de son amour pour son petit frère (joué par un Benny Safdie déchirant). Un move très courageux et ambitieux pour la carrière de la coqueluche de Twilight. C’est un film qui déstabilise, divertit et défie son spectateur comme aucun long-métrage n’a réussi auparavant. De plus, la trame sonore d’Oneohtrix Point Never est électrisante et expérimentale à souhait. C’est le film qui m’a le plus marqué cette année. Un chef d’oeuvre instantané.

My first week back from D.C. was also my first (official) week as the new Director of Photography for RIT SportsZone, and my second time shooting cross country. Thankfully, this time I wasn’t stung by bees multiple times, and no one was seriously injured. It was also the Twilight Invitational at Houghton College, which allowed for some experimentation and trial. This is one of the images I spent a little time thinking about and trying to make, but I don’t quite think it hit the mark, I think there needed to be a bit more separate with the runner and the post in the foreground, but overall I’m happy that I am getting these opportunities to think outside the box in terms of sports photography and photography in general.
