Canon nepo baby Suho makes me have so many ideas with local common guy Ryo, not in the "Rich guy who sugar daddies his economically struggling partner." but rather in the way where the rich guy has lived so comfortably Ryo gets constantly hit with realization that Suho doesnt know how to do even the most basic things ever.
God bless his heart he's not even that broke but who in their right mind thinks of going to Italy on a sunday just because his favorite restaurant is there like its a 40 min drive away. Ryo just casually starts talking on the phone about how he needs to do a cleanup for his room and Suho asks like "omg is your maid sick? you dont have a backup maid?" And Ryo's brain just stops working.
Suho on a friday night: I dont know whenever to go to Cardi B's concept or BTS concert."
Ryo who just finished pirating an albums worth of songs: Aren't they like, in america, right now?
Suho: yeah so what? Planes exists.
-
Suho: Ah shit my phone is lagging
Ryo: Oh I know a shop around here that can fix--
Suho: WElp time to buy the samsung 12XP+ limited gold edition one thats been on my mind for a while now.
Ryo:....

You think people from other universes feel weird or off to non-Spider people?
Like the Spideys are so used to their Spidey Senses telling them shits off, but Spidey Senses like other Spiders, so they can ignore it pretty easily but
Rio looks at the girl her son is talking to under the water tower and can’t get the crawling feeling of unease from nagging at her. This “Gwanda” is strange—not just white girl strange—the colors of her face seem to blur and blend in front of her, but that hardly makes sense; Rio is just being overprotective. When the girl promises to find Miles, Jeff thinks she looked like she was under UV light.
George Stacy could swear that the young man that drops the box for Gwen at his door changes colors every time he looks away. There’s something jagged and rough about him, and it’s not just the punk aesthetic. If he squints, George thinks he can see some kind of aura around him.
The boy in the black mask that saves Inspector Singh is odd, for a lack of better word. His suit looks too… black, oddly textured in a way that Singh can’t quite define. For once, he is grateful for the Spider they do have.

Are we ever gonna talk about how ATSV has the most SUBPAR representation of POC girls.
The three young POC girls are all written extremely flatly or poorly.
Margo is all but ignored by the movies. All other teens get full intros. All of them, EXCEPT Margo. Ben Reilly, a joke character, gets more lines than her, despite her being more important to the plot.
Peni is often stereotyped and boiled down to the 'Japanese magical girl' trope - to the point it effects her art style.
Gayatri hardly gets any lines. Her scene and plot line is good but like Margo, she's written to be a footnote in her make counterparts story (Gayatri to Pavitr, and Margo to Miles)
Then the other two POC women are relegated to mother roles.
Like.... There are no fully-fleshed out black women in the entirety of the series. Am I tripping? Am I forgetting someone?
The only POC woman that is completely fleshed out is Rio and that's because she's Miles literal mom.
There isn't a single POC girl that gets reoccurring lines and doesn't tie directly to a boy character.
We've never seen a universe of a POC Spiderwoman. When it comes to Jess and Margo we know basically nothing about their backgrounds.
It bothers be so much. That's why it bothers me when people hate on FlowerByte. Like.. that's what youre mad about? Not the fact that an entire gender of POC people are erased/watered down in both movies??? Really????

I’m so curious of like
what if other people in their lives became spiders in different universes
A lot of Peter’s friends and family have concept spiders; MJ, Felicia (My personal Fave), Aunt May, Uncle Ben, JJ
but like, what about Rio as a Spider-woman? Or Aaron?
Gayatri is Pavitr’s Gwen, so she might be the Indian variant of Spider-Gwen somewhere

Follow the Butterflies
(Spider-Verse Fanfic)
It took him a few seconds to notice the strange rumbling sensation that sounded like it was coming from his mom before pulled away and gave her a confused look. The sensation stopped. “What was that?” they both asked at the same time. Miles blinked at her confusion. “I thought that was you.” “How could I possibly make that sound? It sounded like a cat,” Rio huffed, a smile tugging at her lips when her statement earned an indignant look. “I can’t do that either!”
OR
Miles and the 'spiders purr' trope because I think it's cute and incredibly underutilized for him
It started a few weeks before Gwen showed up, after Miles had pulled three consecutive all-nighters to deal with a trafficking ring in East Harlem.
Miles had come home for the weekend exhausted and somewhat disheartened due to the fact that he had completely flunked two tests that week because he was so distracted.
He had been completely sure his parents would ground him for at least two weeks but his mom had taken one piercing look at him, sighed, and pulled him into a warm hug he had melted into without a second thought.
“What am I going to do with you, mijo? ” she said softly.
“Sorry, Mami,” he mumbled into her shoulder, eyelids growing heavier by the second.
It took him a few seconds to notice the strange rumbling sensation that sounded like it was coming from his mom before pulled away and gave her a confused look. The sensation stopped.
“What was that?” they both asked at the same time.
Miles blinked at her confusion. “I thought that was you.”
“How could I possibly make that sound? It sounded like a cat,” Rio huffed, a smile tugging at her lips when her statement earned an indignant look.
“I can’t do that either!”
“Can’t do what?” Jeff asked as he entered the room, the lack of sleep clear on his face that Miles couldn’t help wincing a little. His dad tended to be assigned to anything relating to ‘Spider-Man #2’ because Miles had unknowingly drifted closer to him, resulting in him being assigned to deal with the trafficking mess and pulling several all-nighters like Miles.
“Mami thinks I can purr like a cat,” Miles informed him, snorting a bit when his dad gave both of them a baffled look before the man huffed good-naturedly.
“I don’t even wanna know. How was school, Miles?”
Miles blanked a bit at the question, surprised at the lack of anger behind it and glancing at his mother in confusion. Apparently she had decided against telling his father about the failed test for now, likely pushing back that particular conversation so that both of them could have a good night’s sleep.
“It was… okay,” Miles answered honestly.
Rio shooed them both out to the living room with the promise of hot chocolate, the warm weight of his dad’s arm settling over his shoulders after he had put his bag away and changed before sitting on the couch next to his dad.
Someone had watched through half of the newest episode of the Money Heist and Miles let out a small betrayed sound, turning to give his dad a mock offended look.
“You guys started without me!”
Jeff laughed a bit sheepishly. “I was catching up on the last episode, it was too interesting to wait,” he explained, flicking Miles' ears when he made a face. “Don’t give me that, you and your mother watched it without me last week.”
“That’s ‘cause you went to sleep,” Miles pointed out cheekily, shoulders scrunching up to his ears when his dad tickled his neck and snickering as he swatted the man’s hands away. He stopped when Miles got desperate enough to roll off the couch, his dad’s eyes softening into something fond and happy that made the little knot of guilt in Miles's chest loosen.
Miles perked up when his mom walked in with three mugs of hot chocolate, laughing when she let out an offended sound when she saw that his dad had begun the episode without them.
The incident earlier was forgotten as he sat on the ground, his back wedged between his dad’s legs as the man absently ran his blunt nails against Miles’ hair and slowly lulled him into sleep for the first time in three days.
o-o-o-o-o
It wasn’t until a few days before Gwen arrived that Miles was forced to remember it, thanks to being woken up by a concerned Ganke after a particularly exhausting patrol.
“Dude,” his roommate called, his voice tinged with concern as he shook Miles’ shoulder. “Miles, wake up, you’re freaking me out.”
Miles blinked, rubbing his bleary eyes as his jaw cracked open with a sleepy yawn. “Wha…?”
“You’re breathing really weird. Did something happen to your lungs? Did you get hurt?” Ganke questioned, eyebrows furrowed in deep concern.
“No… what’re you talkin’ about, Ganke?” Miles muttered in confusion, rolling over to face away from his roommate.
“Miles,” Ganke called a little forcefully, the uncharacteristic tone waking Miles up enough to take him seriously. “You just stopped but you sounded really weird, man. Kinda like you… were purring. Which is really weird to say. Did something happen?”
“Not really,” Miles frowned, still sleepy but more aware than earlier. It felt like he’d had this conversation before already… “I mean, I had to fight Scorpion and that’s never fun but he didn’t get any good hits this time. And what do you mean, purring?”
Like the sound a cat makes when it’s happy?”
Miles was a little offended at the comparison but pushed past it to reassure his roommate. “I’m fine, Ganke. I only got a few bruises and they’ll heal in a little while.”
Ganke agreed a little uneasily, still worried but willing to let it go if Miles said he was okay.
He turned over in his bed as soon as his roommate climbed off the latter to go about his usual business, wrapping his blanket around him and basking in the warmth and oddly comforting rumbling sensation that seemed to be coming from the back of his lower throat and reverberating in his chest.
Miles blinked in confusion, the sensation disappearing as soon as he focused on it. It was the same thing that had happened a few weeks ago, after the trafficking ring fiasco.
Suddenly uneasy and unable to sleep, Miles wondered if there was anything wrong with him. Did he develop some sort of breathing issue? Asthma or anything like it?
Retrieving his phone and Googling his odd symptoms didn’t give him any half-decent answers. He wasn’t really having any trouble breathing and the sound wasn’t even continuous.
… Maybe it was a spider thing?
Research proved that, yes, apparently male spiders could purr but they only did it as an elaborate form of communication to woo female spiders. Which definitely wasn’t the case with Miles, especially not when he made that sound around his mom.
Gross.
Not for the first time, Miles wished his friends were here to offer their own experiences and curb the loneliness that had slowly been consuming him since they had returned to their own universes. They appeared in his dreams frequently, Peter and Gwen more often than the others.
Sometimes he wished a collider would open in their universes, so he could be sucked in to spend time with them but the thought was banished as soon as it came. Colliders were dangerous, they had almost destroyed multiple universes.
He couldn’t wish for something as selfish as that because he was lonely. He was Spider-Man and Spider-Man protected the people, he didn’t put them at risk.
Miles turned over in his bed and peeked down at Ganke. “Hey. I think the purring thing is just another weird radioactive spider thing. Sorry for scaring you.”
“Oh,” Ganke said, losing some of the tension he’d been carrying as he gave Miles a relieved smile. “It’s fine. Glad you're okay.”
A tiny smile tugged at Miles’ lips as he gave his roommate a thumbs up. “Thanks, man, Goodnight.”
“‘Night.”
o-o-o-o-o
Miles had honestly forgotten all about the whole purring thing until he was holding Mayday awkwardly in his arms, staring at her with wide eyes as she curled up in his arms like a tiny cat and purred.
It was kinda adorable.
“You are so bad at holding a baby,” Peter laughed, his warm hand on Miles’ shoulder almost making him forget that he was on the run right now.
At least until he heard the lady from earlier– Jessica Drew– announce that they had Peter’s location and then he was off once again, weird spider purring forgotten as he led hundreds of Spider-people out of their home base, His heart pounding with the steady thrum of alivealivealive.
No one was stopping him from getting home and saving his dad. No one.
o-o-o-o-o
It wasn’t until months later that anyone really found out.
After everything had gone down, after Spot was taken care of, after all the holes in the universe were patched up and Miguel’s canon theory was scrapped, after he had finally revealed the truth to his parents, Miles had wanted to be alone.
Which was odd, considering how long he had yearned to be by their side but he had still been grappling with his feelings and didn’t know how to navigate his relationship with both Peter and Gwen without someone ending up hurt.
They had recognized he needed space but still popped up every once in a while to hang out, which Miles had really appreciated. The extra time spent with his parents was really nice too, despite how much crying and arguing had been involved in their initial conversations.
Overall, Miles felt like the things in his life had finally stabilized and he was happy– like seriously happy– for the first time in over a year. He could see his friends, he wasn’t lying to his parents, and he was doing good in school.
He was happy.
Miles was in the middle of studying for one of his tests when Pavitr dropped in, a bunch of snacks Miles didn’t recognize and a blanket bundled up in his arms as he beamed at Miles.
“We’re all having a sleepover at Margo’s! She’s got this super-huge movie theater and a bunch of us are going tonight,” Pavitr explained excitedly. “Do you think you can come?”
Miles glanced between his Calculus textbook and his friend’s expectant face a few times before giving in to the temptation. It wasn’t like his parents knew he had a big test on Tuesday. He could just study tomorrow night.
“For sure, I just gotta tell my parents,” he agreed, closing his textbook and shoving it aside. “Should I swing by the store to get something?”
“Yeah, Hobie said to get those donuts you gave him and Gwen the last time he came around,” Pavitr snorted. “He swears they’re the best thing ever.”
Miles laughed at that, suddenly reminded of his dad’s affronted look when he found that the box of donuts he’d purchased was half-finished. “Yeah, I’ll do that. Any special orders or should I just get whatever?”
Pavitr shrugged, his nose wrinkling a bit as he tried to recall the conversation. “Gwen said something about a cheesecake donut– which sounds really weird, by the way.”
“Yeah, man. I’ll be there in a bit,” Miles said, waving as his friend disappeared into a portal before leaving his room to talk to his parents. His mom was passed out on the couch with a heavy blanket thrown over her and her head laid out on Dad’s lap, exhausted from the night shift she had pulled.
Jeff turned towards him when he came into the room, raising an eyebrow at Miles curiously.
“Uh… Dad? Could I spend the night at one of my friend’s houses? We’re just gonna be watching some movies,” he asked, clarifying quickly when the man gave him a suspicious look.
“Didn’t you say you had a test next week?”
Miles made a face. Apparently, his dad did know about the test even though Miles had no memory of telling him that. “Well… yes, but I still have time to study for it. C’mon, Dad, please,” he pleaded.
It took a few more pleas before Jeff finally relented, shooing Miles away with an amused look when he cheered.
Miles packed some clothes and a comfy blanket, pulling his favorite hoodie over his head along with his Spider-Man mask before swinging down to Foam Party, ignoring the looks he got before ordering two dozen assorted donuts.
He waited for his order with the others, waving at the little kids that gawked at him with a tiny grin and taking a picture with a girl he used to go to Brooklyn Middle with– Melissa Mayfield or something like that– before his order was called.
Miles swung onto the closest high rooftop, pushing up his sleeve to punch in the number for Margo’s universe, Earth-22191, into his watch. The portal opened, a comforting, color-changing one that didn’t match Miguel’s old gold portals in the least, reminding him more of Hobie and his ever-changing color palette.
He dove into the portal, no longer discomfited by the sudden sensation of falling as he straightened himself out and landed smoothly on the floor of Margo’s theater room.
“Miles! Hey,” Gwen greeted with a bright smile that made something in his chest warm until he saw Hobie fake gagging next to her and rolled his eyes.
“If you wanna be an ass, you don’t get any of my donuts, Hobie,” Miles threatened, snorting when the older teen gave him an exaggerated wounded look and was subsequently smacked in the face with a pillow by Margo.
“Don’t ever make that face again, Brown, you look ridiculous,” the girl shot at him, back leaning against the legs of a girl Miles now knew to be Gayatri, Pavitr’s girlfriend.
She was super nice and astonishingly good at Mario Kart for a beginner, collectively kicking their asses the last time Miles hung out at Gwen’s dimension after a bit of explanation. Miles still got a kick out of the memory of the offended screech Gwen had let out when Gayatri dropped a blue shell that pushed her into last place and forced her to endure Pavitr’s goading for the rest of the evening.
“You always look ridiculous, ya ankle-biter,” Hobie countered, tossing the pillow back at Margo.
“I know your Daddy long legs lookin’ ass, ain’t calling me short, Hobart!”
Miles couldn’t help but cackle at the combined usage of that insult and Hobie’s real name, the others joining in as the two of them continued to bicker, hurling insults that grew more and more creative back at each other until Peter arrived in the room with Mayday in tow.
“If my baby’s first words are anything bad, just know that I’m throwing you all under the bus with MJ,” he announced as he sidled over to Miles, squeezing his shoulder in greeting. “Hey, kiddo.”
“Hey, Peter, hey Mayday,” Miles greeted with a tiny grin, letting the baby crawl over from Peter to him as she babbled happily. “Are you staying or are we watching Mayday for you?”
“Hobie offered to babysit so MJ and I could go on a date,” Peter grinned as Mayday climbed onto Miles’ head and stuck herself there, his hands supporting her as she began purring happily. “You know, she only ever does that around you or when she’s sleepy. It’s adorable.”
Miles blinked. “The purring?”
Had he not asked anyone about the purring thing yet? He really had forgotten it in the haze of everything, becoming accustomed to it as he did with all the other oddities that came with being Spider-Man.
“Yeah, it’s adorable, like a little tiny cat. I would totally get her a kitten if MJ wasn’t so allergic,” Peter said a little wistfully.
Miles hummed in agreement, reaching over his head to tickle Mayday and earning an endearing little giggle. In some ways, Peter had been right about the fact that holding Mayday was kinda rejuvenating.
Miles didn’t do babies but she was the exception– she was Peter’s kid after all.
Peter left soon after and their group of six plus Mayday settled down to watch Spiderwick since apparently it only existed in Miles’ and Margo’s dimensions and it was kid-friendly.  Mayday saw creatures scarier than the weird goblins in the movie on the daily anyways.
They watched a few more movies after that, like Shawshank Redemption and White House Down for the sole reason Margo knew Hobie would hate the latter before Miles’ began to fall asleep, his head leaning on Gwen’s shoulder and Mayday carefully tucked into his lap.
The sound of her purring was soothing, a soft vibration that slowly lulled him to sleep, barely aware of the fact that he was making the same sound, making him feel warm and fuzzy as he leaned more into Gwen’s side.
It took her a moment to notice, realizing that the soft rumbling sound was no longer only coming from Mayday, it was coming from Miles too. Gwen couldn’t help the way her lips tugged into a barely suppressed grin– it was too cute.
She leaned closer, laying her head over his and closing her eyes as she listened to the comforting sound of Miles purring. She’d tease him about it in the morning but now she was warm and comfortable with Miles pressed into her side- she didn't want to move.
Neither of them noticed that they’d fallen asleep with their hands entwined in one another until Pavitr sent a photo to the group chat the next day.
If the photo was saved on their phones, well, that was no one’s business but their own.
o-o-o-o-o
The title came from Harry Potter when Ron was like 'Why does have to be 'Follow the spiders' why can't it be 'Follow the Butterflies' kinda just translates to Miles being completely done with his powers and just accepting anything that comes XD
Anyways hope you liked it and check out my Ao3: https://archiveofourown.org/users/Umbra195/pseuds/Umbra195

Things I screamed about in ATSV (spoilers)
-Got to rewatch the film so I’m just going to add the colours changing to warmer tones when Gwen hugs her father. Not even ten minutes in and I was already crying.
-Realised that we missed the Gwen-Vulture fight BUT got to see Jessica Drew enter the scene like a bad ass in her bad ass bike and hearing the audience collectively say ‘me too’ when Gwen asked if Jessica could adopt her.
-Screaming OSCAR ISAAC when Miguel spoke
-Lyla. Just Lyla.
- ‘Do you say anything other than no?’ ‘No-YES!’ more of miguel and jessica pls
-The Spot’s introduction. I didn’t see any promotional stuff, teasers or even trailers before watching this film so I had no idea who or what the The Spot was which was great because he really went from villain of the week to villain of the movie. And they clearly had a great time choreographing the fight scenes with him
-Miles’ heating up the beef patty while the spot and the convenience store man argue
-Miles patting the spot’s with a ‘good cow’ text
-Gwen and Miles both having to deepen their voices to avoid being recognised by their respective cop dads
-Miles saying that he can get two cakes when the counsellor says you can’t have your cake and eat it too and then bringing two cakes for his father’s party and neither of them saying what he wanted to convey.
-Rio and Jeff scolding an annoyed miles but instantly smiling when a relative hugs them what an universal experience
-Gwen teasing Miles for drawing her in his notebook almost obsessively but also breaking the biggest rule to spend time with him knowing the consequences.
-As they went to talk, my friend leaned over and said ‘yeah I bet they will talk’ and when they only talked he groaned very loudly at which point I had to remind him Miles was only 15
-Watching Jeff talk to Spiderman about his son not knowing his son is spiderman
-The DJ increasing the volume when Miles’ parents started scolding him in the middle of the party (the real mvp of the movie actually)
-JK Simmons cameo that no one seems to be talking about??? Embarrassingly enough I had to literally scream into my friend’s ear for most of the people to realise it was indeed JK Simmons
-Just the entire Mumbattan scene. It was so exciting to see my city be represented like that, still a bit cliched in my opinion but not like Slumdog so obviously they have updated their views. Everything from the traffic gag to Pav’s rant about chai tea had the theatre howling. Also the detail of the thought boxes (?) and sounds being written in Hindi
-Screaming DANIEL KALUUYA
-My friend and I are huge fans of the UK punk scene (her for the ideologies and myself for the music and fashion) so Hobie was a dream come true. He was already super cool with his guitar and mohawk costume but when he revealed his face it was just so amazing
-Gayatri is every indian’s dream girl with her modern shirt-flannel and jeans combo mixed with bangles and piercings I really wish we get to see more of her in the next movie. Anyway there was a lot of wolf-whistling and hooting for her and Pav
-Also Pavitr literally means pure I don’t know if they did that on purpose or not but I love it
-His pet name being Pav cured my soul
-’This is the most emotional I have seen him’ and Captain Singh has no emotions at all
-I want to see how they came up with so many spider designs because each was so unique and immediately endearing. My friend who is also a big dinosaur fan screamed DINOSAUR
-Kind of obsessed with how detailed Ben Reilly’s arms are they did not need to go that hard with it
-Tom Holland’s Spider-Man being referred to as ‘the little nerd’ by Miguel
-When everyone was making puns about the Spot my friend leaned over and said ‘i wonder which hole the spot prefers’ it is a miracle we are still friends actually
-The Donald Grover cameo!!!
-Peter B Parker having a cute little baby with the love of his life is what he deserves
-Miguel O Hara is one step away from becoming a Batman-Spiderman
-Hobie’s admiration for Mayday being the avatar of chaos Spider-baby
-Screaming ANDY SAMBERG
-I think they saw the appreciation for the art style in the previous film and then trebled it for this film and I cannot thank them enough for it
-Peter complaining about how Miguel breaks the Spiderman tradition of being funny and witty and Miguel being the first anomaly
-Every scene with the Spot is very unnerving because as I said, you watch him transform from this joker to a literal void of vengeance and it is every bit of terrifying
-Miguel is a man suffering from the destruction of an entire universe because of his selfish actions and forcing that anomaly narrative on a fifteen year old boy who became a spiderman on accident and doesn’t want his father to die because of that. Unlike the Spot, who isn’t even human anymore, Miguel is drowning in grief and guilt and trying to ignore it by holding the weight of the spider-verse on his shoulder. I hated him so much for making a boy go through that but then I just couldn’t in the end.
-Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire cameo!!! Hopefully we’ll get a fun Tom Holland one too in the next movie.
-’Let me guess, he died?’ being a therapist for Spider Men must be a fairly boring job after a few patients.
-I just loved the absolute of wrongness of the scene where Miles returns ‘home’. The rain and darkness. I didn’t really think about Rio asking Miles what happened to his hair because I thought she was referring to the rain (although of course she wouldn’t ask him why his hair was wet when it was obviously raining outside) but realised something was wrong when he didn’t know about comic con but she did because in the first film there’s a joke about Peter B Parker explaining the concept to Miles.
- This movie is not good for my father related issues
-The glaring neon welcome sign when the gang end up in Earth 42
-How did Uncle Aaron get even scarier?
-Miles being the Prowler is honestly a great twist I saw it coming but still felt the shock of the reveal
-Prowler Miles having an accented voice meaning his father probably died when he was young and he only had his mom growing up
-Can’t wait for the original spider team to return for the third film seeing as they brought back Spider-Man Noir and Spider Ham and Peni Parker
-Screaming WHAT when the ‘to be continued’ appeared because that cliffhanger is absolutely destructive. All that adrenaline and excitement just popped. I’m still oscillating between being impressed and being disappointed.
I probably skipped over a lot of other scenes because these were the most memorable and I only watched the film once (unfortunate) but I can’t wait for the movie to hit streaming services and watch it again and again for all the other details I missed. Ill probably keep adding things as I remember

okay okay rapid fire spider-verse thots fresh out of the theater, trying to minimize spoilers but jesus
da Vinci-looking Vulture... very cool
the art on Gwen's earth in general is SO cool
in general the animators were just SHAMELESSLY showing off with this one and it rules so hard
Rio Morales animated milf of all time
truly do not understand what all of you see in Miguel tbh that man suuuuuucks!! kill!!
Peter B is also on my shit list tbh. Gwen going along with this is understandable, she's literally a homeless teenager in a bad position to fight against adult spiders making decisions, but Peter... come on dude...
truly they HAD to leave Pav out of the middle of the movie because he would have sided with Miles (you think he would want Inspector Singh to die!! fuck no!!) and he's perfect so he would have just effortlessly swept the floor with every other spider-person
Gwen is flirtatiously trans coded and responds to Spider-Man at least once, congrats to her on the fun gender
Jessica's design is so cool but they made her such a cop... god I hope she's coming around in the next movie
cannot wait to see gifs of this movie slowing down every frame to point out every individual background spider-person
the fucking. the family of it all. Miles' parents afraid to let him grow up and Gwen's dad unable to accept the truth about his daughter and Miguel trying to raise a daughter who wasn't supposed to be his and Peter B's baby girl and Jessica Drew's visible baby bump and the spiders' collective miserable certainty that they are DEFINED by the trauma of losing someone they love.
something something Miles' parents and the spider society have the same problem - being afraid of change from what they thought was The Right Way To Do Things - but Miles' parents love and trust him to make the right choices beyond their understanding while Miguel and the other spiders are too hurt by their own traumas to imagine someone else thriving without it
also fuck all of them the boy's uncle died in front of him after trying to kill him HAS HE NOT SUFFERED ENOUGH
Hobie's soooo annoying (affectionate) but also right about, like, literally everything AND good with babies to boot
the whole ending is so ‼️‼️‼️‼️
the thing with Miles and Uncle Aaron at the end... you know the thing... DELICIOUS au right there tell me everything about that shit
the fucking end man
I've NEVER been in a theater where everyone collectively screamed @ the end of a movie fuck fuck fuck. there's cliffhangers and then there's THIS

My personal interpretation of Hobie's relathionships with the rest of the Atsv cast
Miles:They're so boyfriend and girlfriend-coded,this isn't a joke but me saying Miles is a transfem egg and Hobie's extremely transmasc-coded so my conclusion is obvious.Jamaican trans punk dude who's actually a huge softie and his cute lil afrolatina trans pastel punk sunshine gf who kicks ass
Gwen:They're lowkey convuluted in the movie and by extra official info so i just go with whatever LOL.Siblings!Ghost Punk and romantic Ghostpunk are equally good but i only like the latter with my half white afrolatina lightskin Gwen headcanon because Hobie shouldn't be dating white girls
Pavitr:Chai Punk Brothers my beloved.I like it romantically too but hate most of the fan content so i'm a bit sour on it but trying to be open-minded.Y'all who include him in the Ghostpunkflower polycule but not Margo are sick though
Margo:Super close besties and him and her and Gwen were actually trio pre-Atsv until Miles came along and they formed the full on Spiderband.Punkbyte is 10000000/10 ship too and we need way more of it
Peni:Siblingisms and i'm not against them romantically because Peni's the same age as Margo but i only ship Peni with Hazel from Pjo as lesbian soulmates by choice(they're basically lesbian!Ghostflower honestly)
Gayatri:Chill friends who're important to eachother and like with Pavitr i like the ship but sour on it due to fan content(Gayatri as nothing but a love interest needs to Die)
Miguel:Uptight pseudo-dad and rebellious teenage pseudo-son
Jessica:The cooler Miles and Peter B(including that Hobie actually views Jessica as his mom and Jessica sees Hobie as her son back)
Peter B:Entirely neutral on eachother tbh but they do get along
Miles G:He's the ONE Miles that's not into Hobie and Hobie's fine with that but Miles G likes being a bitch to him so he gets payback by flirting with Miles in front of him to piss him and even kissed her in front of him once and Miles G almost jumped his ass
Noir:Likes him well enough but dosen't actively seek him out because their personality styles are too different
Jefferson:That one meme of black guys on their tippy toes and doing a secret handshake thingy i can't fucking find it but it's Jefferson and Hobie core

Not to be That Bitch but I’ve seen people talking about this so,,,
Who is actually most likely to die in BTSV?
Yep, yikes I’m going there. Again all theories so I’m open to conversation/opinions on this!
Jessica - She’s not gonna die. There’s no way. Spiderverse is known for breaking boundaries but they aren’t going to kill a pregnant woman.
Miles - Again spiderverse is known for breaking boundaries so killing a protagonist is not outside of their range but I do not think they can kill Miles because of how integral he is to the trilogy and general synergy with comics and video games. Miles is too important of a character outside of this film in a monetary and societal way for them to kill him off in my opinion. He is the character that people associate with ‘Anyone can wear the mask’
Peter B. - The man has a baby. They aren’t gonna kill him. It just isn’t gonna happen. Nor will they kill said baby.
Hobie - They won’t do it. I love him but I don’t think his death would be enough of a catalyst or whatever. Like I just can’t see it. Not to say he isn’t important to the story but with the role he takes on, his death wouldn’t make sense.
Ben Reilly - I’m not even sure he’s currently alive lol. Gwen broke his watch and then tossed him into a random ass dimension. He’s probably fine… He’s fine.
Noir - unlikely. It wouldn’t have the emotional impact a death would need in the next movie. If, for whatever reason, multiple members of the team die then I could see it, but just him? No.(either way bro’s been resurrected multiple times in the comics, he’s fine.)
Ham - ok I could see it, but only in the comedy angel wings ‘death’ way. Like it wouldn’t be real, it’d be a gag.
Peni - ugh I can kinda see this ngl. She was the only member of team B we saw in the society and had a speaking role. Maybe I’m jaded but doesn’t bode well for a young female character… she will most likely be fine though.
Pavitr - People have said it and I do understand it. I don’t think they’ll do it but I could see it happening in a couple of different ways. His death would have be a perfect mid-late movie catalyst simply because of the parallels between him and Miles, ‘being spiderman is easy!’, and inspector Singh and Gayatri ‘escaping’ death. Will be crying in the theatre.
The Spot - I’m 50/50 on this. Like he could totally be too far gone where the only way out is him imploding but also he just wanted attention 😢
Gwen - God I can see this happening. I really hope it doesn’t but,,, Specifically, her saving Miles or one of his parents and that somehow being it for her. Her home storyline is tied up, her only remaining loose thread is with Miles, and once that’s done her ‘arc’ is over, and also the foreshadowing. Like if it happens that’s how it’s gonna happen and it’ll parallel when Miles was saving inspector Singh and that moment where we can’t see him god,,,,,,
Miguel - I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I don’t know what they are going to do with this man by the end of the next movie. Dude has put his whole being into his canon events theory, cause remember he genuinely believes or is in heavy denial about this. I don’t think being visually proven wrong will fix anything for him. I genuinely believe it’ll destroy him. I could definitely see him dying in the next movie by saving Miles/his dad in some desperate attempt to do the right thing, or taking down the spot with him type thing.
Jeff - Look, we all know it’s a possibility. It’s like algorithmically predestined, so it definitely could happen and I wouldn’t be surprised necessarily. But do I actually think it will happen? No. It’s too built up, especially with Miles going to 42 where his dad IS dead.
Rio - I’m gonna be so honest, she’s more likely to die than Jeff. SORRY! She’s the one that dies in the comics, she’s the one alive in 42, and she has that big speech about Miles not being with her any more and to look out for himself for her. I really hope they don’t do it, I really hope cause I will sob in the theatre but if one of Mile’s parents is going to die, it’ll be Rio.
