rip to the kingdom keepers, y’all tried your best 😦
According to the Orlando Sentinel:
Per the Disney Parks Blog, this new land is a "place where poison apples are aplenty and magic potions can ruin your whole day." With all these villains in one place, "happily ever after may feel like just a distant dream."

And just like that, 4 years of work will be put on display in less than 2 hours. When this project first started, many of us were just some group of teens wanting to do something during the pandemic because live theatre wasn’t really possible with the COVID outbreak. Now it’s been 4 years, we have an amazing team of artists, have been recognized by the author himself, and we have over 70 members of our team and growing. We want to thank our community, without your support this wouldn’t still be an active project, to our pilot cast, this project would’ve never gotten the traction it has today without you all, our pilot artists who helped shape what the project is today, our friends and families who supported us through a wild passion project, and of course to @ridleypearson for supporting our project and helping us get the word out about our artist/casting calls. Thank you all and we hope you enjoy the first episode of the Kingdom Keepers Let’s Read Rewritten.
Interested in joining our team? Applications for our editing and artist teams are still open! This is a fun opportunity to connect with others and use your talents. Send us a message or fill out the Google Form in our bio for more information!

i think the fact the the kingdom keepers never got a break in their daily lives is so awful for them. like the hosts were their faces, their names, they acted and dressed based off of the real kids interests. and then these holograms get so famous that these teenagers, from like 13 to 18 don’t get a break.
because it’s not like they’re playing a character or anything, they really are just the dhi. there was no separation between the two during the day. do you think fans blurred the line between what they knew of finn the hologram and what they assumed about finn the hologram?
and there wasn’t any separation at night. where did the hologram stop and the kid start? i think by book seven they didn’t even know

Kingdom Keepers, right? Such a mess, like if my first fic got published and released in several countries. But I have a question, basically I own the OG series and haven't read the rewrites, can someone who has read the rewrites let me know if they're better / dealt with inconsistencies / remove problematic issues / what changed?? Cause I'm not about to reread 13 books or smth just to learn Pearson changed one sentence and called it a new book

Hey y'all! If you've been wondering why @kingdomkeepers has been inactive with posts/edits, I got locked out of this account. The password got reset and the email connected to it is not longer active. Just wanted to get on here and finally say something and say how much I miss the community and making KK content for us all! Love y'all!

i liked some things about kk: inheritance book two: villains' realm... it was certainly better than the first kk: inheritance book, and with them literally announcing the real villains' world at d23 like two days ago, there's something kinda cool about that... but it's nowhere near as good as the first 10 books in the series. and there are weird editorial mistakes and typos that seem strange for a book with so many eyes on it??
also for real, why did charlie twice refer to his father being a kingdom keeper as if his mother... wasn't also one. i liked getting to see more of charlie, and i still think blair is the best character in the sequel series. the "notorious FGM" joke got a little old. i liked seeing tiana. and the idea of "we have to find the places in these two disney parks that correlate to each other" (sleeping beauty castle in paris and disneyland) was neat.
also why didn't the jungle cruise skippers make jokes. the jungle cruise skippers should've made jokes.

Disney After Dark Review
Tumblr media
I finally finished my reread of the first Kingdom Keepers book, Disney After Dark! I thought I'd share my updated thoughts and opinions on this book below
Overall Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Out of 5⭐)
Likes:
unique storyline
memorable characters
funny dialogue
engaging plot
action packed scenes
vivid imagery and settings
Dislikes:
lack of depth/use of the female characters
inconsistencies/plot holes
ambiguous mentor
Final Take: I think this book is a great introduction to the series as a whole. Ridley vividly depicts a magical world that is easy for readers to feel drawn to and imagine. While not perfect, it definitely is an enjoyable read and is such a unique idea for a series. This book is a great starting block for where the story eventually goes. Ridley definitely improves upon the books as the story progresses and as he truly shapes and forms his world/characters. I would definitely recommend this book to young readers, people who like the Disney Parks, and any fans of the Percy Jackson series.

new news for the 2 other kingdom keepers fans who are still hanging in there! 🫡
kingdom kids book 3 is officially on Barnes and Noble’s website for preorder!!
[more under the little break 👇🏻]
Tumblr media
kingdom kids: the final draw will be available for preorder now & will release februrary 25th, 2025 (this date may change!). according to B&N, it has 320 pages and has the following overview:
This epic conclusion to the KINGDOM KEEPERS INHERITANCE trilogy will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page!
In this final installment in the series that has sold over a million copies worldwide, Ridley Pearson concludes the Kingdom Keepers saga with spectacular magical flair.
The Villains are about to make their ultimate stand in an effort to take over the Disney parks. Ursula, the baddest of the bad, has figured out how to animate every villain in every attraction, and has beckoned them to her side to form the most evil army of all time, leaving the parks without their stories. The result? The parks begin to fade and warp as the stories their attractions are based on cease to exist. Can Eli and his band of talented friends find a way to take down Ursula before her dastardly deeds ruin the Disney Parks for good?
here’s a better look at the current cover too:
Tumblr media
i’m actually interested in seeing how this book ends, as it is the final book ridley is writing for the kingdom keepers (as he posted on TikTok & insta saying this was the conclusion to the kingdom keepers franchise)! these books are my childhood, so it’s bittersweet to see the final book ever 🥲
will you be reading?
