bruce: you know. he's a talon, he's a fair bit incurably a zombie and murderous.

dick: yeah. I know but, there's a chance he's not evil, and I want to meet him.

bruce: uhgghghhh, okay! you can put him in the superman timeout zone to thaw.

bruce running towards the door: DICK WHAT DID YOU DO

dick: bruce it's fine!

William: I HAVE A GREAT GRANDSON, ALL THIS TIME AND HE WAS FINE?

bruce: oh, it was him

dick: yeah he's been sobbing a fair bit since I told him about everything.

William: WHY DID I LEAVE THE GRAND BABIES *SOBBING*

bruce: is he.. okay?

dick: idk how he didn't know that my parents were dead but you know, life I guess.

bruce: so, is he "cool" with us?

dick: only time will tell. grandpappy please sit down and drink some water, it's okay.

William: *SOBBING LOUDER*

"... And yeah, that's why me and B aren't talking at the moment" Dick finished, face pressed into the cafe table, one hand playing with his cup and the other gripping Tim's hand.

"Thanks for listening." He sighed out. "Also sorry for jumping you like that and ranting-"

"Hey, it's alright, sometimes you just gotta vent for a bit." Time voice was low, and if he wasn't sitting so close Dick wouldn't be able to hear him.

He gripped his hand tighter before letting out a small chuckle. "It helped." He muttered and then sat up.

"But we should probably get home-" dick froze, looking at the person sitting with him. Black hair, blue eyes, a comforting smile on his face.

At first glance anyone would think it's Tim, but there are traces of Jason and even bruce and-

"You're not-"

"Yeah, no idea who Tim is, I'm Danny....you're going to crush my hand"

Dick let go as if the hand burnt him and blushed brightly. Oh god, he has been ranting to a complete stranger for god knows how long, has he said anything about their double life-

"Calm down, I have no clue who you are and we are probably never meeting again after this, nothing bad bout talking your issues out and all"

Tim is going to laugh at him.

We have seen Peter Parker in Gotham, now I propose Nightwing in No Way Home.

Dr. Strange's spell brings Peter alternate versions of himself, villains and... some guy no one has ever heard of? The hero identifies himself as Nightwing and is willing to help in exchange for help getting back to his home world. His home world is also apparently pretty different because he doesn't recognize a lot of important stuff? Weird.

(Yes, I know that is not how the spell worked in the film. Maybe it attempted to pull in another Peter, but because he didn't exist in the DC universe, it garbed the next best thing, Peter's dad.)

Eventually they have a Dick = Richard Parker realization. Maybe Aunt May is the one who puts it together? I think it would be funny if Dick just did something so him, and May just immediately clocks Nightwing as her brother in law. Maybe May can even live in this universe because Dick was also there and was able to save her?

At the end Strange is going to have to make everyone forget Peter, but Dick steps in and says, "how about we don't do that and instead he comes back to my home universe with me?"

May comes along too because she is not forgetting her nephew, nor is she going to abandon him to another world even if she does trust Dick. We can add even more drama to their arrival in Gotham if we make Jason = Uncle Ben.

yknow, I am amused that solangelo fanon was so tunnel-vision in like 2014 that in the midst of crawling through literally every time Will had popped up in the series prior, somehow the ONE singular instance of Will referencing something that the fandom did absolutely nothing with was the thing Rick then decided to draw out into being a major character trait for Will.

Like. Nico eats McDonalds once and it becomes a huge fanon thing, but Will references Star Trek and the fandom doesn't make a peep until Rick explicitly canonizes that he's a huge sci fi nerd. and Rick doesn't even keep it consistent! He changes it so Will is a Star Wars nerd instead of Star Trek. smh 😔 /lh

Opinions on Jason Todd being the multiversal equivalent to Uncle Ben 👀

i see the appeal, but i don't like it personally. they're just two fundamentally different characters now that i can't equivalate them with each other. maybe i could see the tie in with the both of them dying tragically? furthering the plot for another character? but at the same time, that'd make universal equivalents for millions of characters

Watching 13 year old Dick Grayson in Young Justice is everything. That more-or-less-resposible, more-or-less-reasonable big brother nightwing Dick, was a menace as a kid. He's so sarcastic, such a little shit, I love him.

I have a head cold rn so here’s how I think the Batfamily is when they’re sick

Bruce: He acts like he’s okay. If no one clicked the fact he’s sick he will continue patrolling, he will keep moving and patrolling until he can’t move, and even then he still moves because he can’t let anyone be right.

Dick: he’s just like Bruce. But as soon as someone calls him out for being sick he crumbles and finally decides to try and get better. He will still patrol but he’ll carry like a full liter of liquid of like NyQuil of a massive bottle of ibuprofen. (He will swallow five pills dry and laugh in the face of a thug two minutes later.)

Cass: Once again, she’s like Bruce, but not as bad. She will admit she’s sick, and take medication the right way. She’ll drink water and get enough sleep, but the second someone needs even a slightest bit of help on patrol she’s out there.

Jason: He’s a bit like Dick, but better, he’ll get the sleep and medicine he needs (and stick to a strict schedule of when he takes what medication and when) but he won’t try to find out the exacts. If he finds out he’s sick he’ll just start pounding down on the vitamin C. If you open the fridge in any of his safe houses when he’s sick you just see cartons of orange juice, dozens of lemon’s, and like three heads of broccoli. He’ll miss patrol but only when Bruce asks him to patrol.

Tim: He doesn’t have a choice. He’s locked in his room with the windows locked. He’s not allowed any of his energy drinks or anything with too much sugar. He isn’t allowed to go out without taking medication either. He’s forced to wear a medical mask around his family anytime they’re sick and when he’s sick. He won’t go on patrol but he will work on cases until the medication kicks in and he falls asleep

Duke: He’s reasonable enough when he’s sick, kinda like Jason he stays on top of his vitamins but instead of eating food with it he just carries around a bottle of vitamin C. He will not miss patrol since he’s the only person on day time patrol. He sleeps at night unlike everyone else. He drinks so much water and takes a nap after patrol. (Honestly with him being a meta he might not get sick that easy- or even at all, but I can’t remember too much about metas rn.)

Damian: He’s terrible. He’s a second Dick in the making. But hes got a bit more rational so he takes medicine in a more structured way than Dick just taking it whenever. He won’t skip patrol until someone benches him. It’s always Alfred, Dick, or Bruce- in that order.

Steph: She’s happy to skip patrol when she’s sick. School on the other hand she doesn’t. This girl is a college student (depending on what timeline you’re looking at) if she misses one class she’s behind for the next month. She takes her medication and naps frequently.

Barbara: If she’s sick no one knows. She’ll just put a voice changer over the comms if her voice is hoarse enough to get noticed. She definitely doesn’t get the sleep she should, but she takes her medicine and eats and drinks enough. Which she thinks is enough (at least until she can’t look at her screens without a migraine coming full force every two minutes)

Alfred: He never gets sick. Never.
