✭ THE SECOND M/F LEAD : River Fox. [he/him or she/her]
Co-actor, singer and in late 20s. After having caught their now ex partner cheating on them, they seem to have a hard time trusting people. The fact that they dislike you for the means you used to get the role and the consequences it led to, doesn't help either.

✭ THE CAMERA(WO)MAN : Arlo Kent. [he/him or she/her]
Single loyal to you and in their early 20s. They get all starry eyed and overly enthusiastic at the sight of you. More often than not, you have caught them not so discreetly keeping an eye you. You can only hope they are merely star struck and nothing more.

Messy but Meaningful: Challenging Pop Psychology’s Unrealistic Expectations of Relationships in Fandom Spaces
By Crushbot 🤖 and Human Assistant 💁🏽‍♀️
Tumblr media
The growing tendency in fandom spaces to apply pop-psychology frameworks to fictional relationships—such as Blitz and Stolas’s relationship in Helluva Boss—often oversimplifies the complexities of real-life human dynamics. While using psychological language to analyze media can deepen understanding, it can also lead to reductive and rigid interpretations of relationships. For the sake of argument, if Blitz and Stolas were real people, the expectation that both must be fully healed, emotionally stable, and entirely self-assured before engaging in a relationship reflects an unrealistic and idealized view of mental health and interpersonal growth.
The Myth of Complete Healing
Tumblr media
One of the most common misconceptions in pop psychology is the belief that individuals must achieve complete emotional healing before they can engage in healthy relationships. This idea, while well-meaning, is rooted in an overly simplistic view of personal development. From a psychological perspective, healing and self-improvement are ongoing processes. Life circumstances, relationships, and personal challenges continually shape and reshape our mental and emotional landscapes.
Attachment theory, for example, suggests that relationships can be powerful arenas for healing. According to John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth, attachment dynamics are formed in early childhood but can be reshaped in adulthood through secure and supportive relationships. Blitz’s and Stolas’s relationship, though imperfect, demonstrates how mutual care and connection can provide opportunities for growth. Stolas’s willingness to be emotionally vulnerable and Blitz’s gradual acceptance of his feelings suggest that their bond is helping each of them confront their emotional barriers, even if they’re not “finished” healing.
Relationships as Sites of Growth
Tumblr media
Instead of requiring complete emotional stability as a prerequisite for relationships, many psychological frameworks view relationships as places where healing and growth can occur. In Helluva Boss, Blitz and Stolas’s dynamic reflects this principle. Their relationship, while messy and fraught with misunderstandings, provides opportunities for them to confront their vulnerabilities and develop healthier patterns of intimacy.
This idea aligns with Carl Rogers’s humanistic approach to psychology, which emphasizes the importance of relationships in fostering self-actualization. Rogers argued that empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard are key ingredients for personal growth—and these qualities often emerge in relationships. While Blitz and Stolas struggle with these elements at times, their efforts to connect and communicate demonstrate a willingness to grow together.
The Role of Imperfection in Relationships
Tumblr media
Pop-psychology discourse often pathologizes imperfection, labeling any relationship that involves conflict, miscommunication, or emotional baggage as “toxic.” However, conflict is not inherently harmful; it’s how individuals navigate and resolve conflict that determines the health of a relationship. Psychologist John Gottman’s research on marital stability highlights that even successful relationships involve conflict. The difference lies in whether partners approach disagreements with respect, empathy, and a willingness to repair after mistakes.
In the context of Blitz and Stolas, their struggles with power dynamics, vulnerability, and communication do not automatically render their relationship toxic. Rather, their willingness to acknowledge and address these issues—such as Stolas’s attempts to give Blitz more autonomy with the Asmodean crystal or Blitz’s growing emotional openness—suggests a dynamic that is evolving toward greater mutual understanding.
Realistic Expectations for Healing and Change
Tumblr media
The expectation that adults must be fully healed and self-assured before entering relationships also neglects the reality that personal growth often occurs within relationships. Social learning theory emphasizes how individuals learn and adapt through observation and interaction. Relationships serve as a mirror, reflecting areas for growth and offering opportunities to practice new behaviors. For Blitz, his interactions with Stolas force him to confront his fear of vulnerability and his tendency to self-sabotage. For Stolas, being with Blitz challenges his understanding of intimacy and forces him to step beyond his royal privilege to engage in genuine emotional connection.
It’s also worth noting that personal growth is non-linear. Progress often involves setbacks, missteps, and moments of doubt. Relationships do not have to be perfect to be worthwhile or beneficial. The process of working through challenges together can strengthen bonds and foster deeper connection.
Rejecting Pop-Psychology Absolutism
Tumblr media
The pop-psychologization of fandom spaces often reduces complex dynamics to overly rigid binaries: healthy/unhealthy, secure/insecure, toxic/healing. While these frameworks can offer insights, they risk ignoring the nuance of real-life relationships. Humans are messy, imperfect, and constantly evolving—and so are their relationships. Holding fictional characters (or real people) to unrealistic standards of emotional perfection perpetuates an unhelpful narrative that growth must be completed in isolation, rather than as a collaborative process.
Blitz and Stolas exemplify the idea that relationships can be messy but meaningful. They are imperfect individuals navigating their own traumas and insecurities, yet they are also actively working toward better understanding themselves and each other. This dynamic reflects a more realistic and compassionate view of relationships, one that acknowledges growth as a shared journey rather than a prerequisite for connection.
Conclusion
Tumblr media
Expecting individuals to achieve complete healing before engaging in relationships is both unrealistic and at odds with what we know about human development. Relationships, particularly those marked by care and effort, can serve as powerful spaces for growth, healing, and transformation. Blitz and Stolas’s evolving bond in Helluva Boss illustrates this beautifully, showing that imperfection does not preclude progress. By challenging the rigid expectations of pop psychology, we can embrace a more nuanced understanding of relationships—both fictional and real—that values growth, vulnerability, and the shared journey of becoming better together.

Back to Bed
Summary: Terry and Y/N had been married for just over 7 years with 3 beautiful children and a blooming self defense business they’d built together to show for it. Having started their relationship at the beginning of Y/N’s journey into discovering her submissiveness and Terry’s first stationing as an instructor - Terry had been her only dom and thus knew her like the back of his hand and Y/N has been the only sub to experience the harshest version of his dom giving her the same privilege over him. Having been pregnant with their baby girl upon coming home to the Sandy Springs situation, Terry has been using it as an excuse, too afraid to lean all the way into his dom personality the way he had with Y/N before his last tour.
After they get into an argument, again, about the events of Silver Springs and how even after the last few years of stitching their life back together, he still only talked to Summer about everything that happened and was handling her with kid gloves, Y/N separates from him best she can. Completely at a crossroads of what to do to feel like she’s still her husband’s wife and losing all the fight to try and figure it out, she gives Terry the silent treatment and isolates from him, doing her best to only be in the same room with him when the kids are. After weeks of her barely acknowledging him or the argument, Terry is tired of going to bed alone when his wife is sleeping in the guest room right below him. His plan? Let the dom in him handle it and finally confess his monsters.
WARNINGS: 18+ themes, Minors DNI, d/s themes, pre-smut, angst
A/N: Thank you to all the Terry girls out there that have created a monster in me for this man in literally less than a week. Story inspired by @megamindsecretlair ‘s “I Swear I’ll Never Leave” oneshot and @keyaho ‘s “R.E.L.L.S.” series.
A/N: There will be at least a part 2. Kinda proofread, sorry in advance for any mistakes.
A/N: My work is NOT to be plagiarized or reposted (on any site other than this) without my explicit consent and recognition.
Y/N had been napping peacefully in the spare bedroom when she heard her kids start screaming excitedly, waking her all the way out her sleep in panic. Once she identified their squeals as gleeful she relaxed, but decided it would be in her best interest to check and see what all the commotion was about. Imagine her surprise when she entered their living room to see her parents sitting on the couch with her kids talking over one another and Terry coming downstairs with their weekend-trips-backpacks. The moment she locked eyes with her husband, Y/N gulped, somehow understanding exactly what was going on behind those piercing eyes. Her father had been too wrapped up in the kids, but her mother saw her daughter the instant she entered the room, her motherly instincts in overdrive.
As soon as Terry let them in she could see that he was even more exhausted than usual, his reliably calm demeanor obviously frazzled. Whenever they usually came to pick up the kids at his request, everything was already packed and ready, the kids fed the most recent meal or snack, and Terry had them waiting by the door. Y/N was usually who they waited on. It was completely out of character to have to wait for him to finish getting them ready or be told they haven't eaten at least a snack so far into the afternoon. Dinner was around the corner and school had been out for at least 2 hours. Yeah, something was definitely wrong. She watched the unspoken conversation happen between the two when he came back downstairs and hoped that Terry asking them to take the kids to hang out with them overnight would help to resolve whatever marital issues they were having. Her daughter looked just as bad as her son-in-law and judging by the fact she looked like she just woke up and came from their guest bedroom rather than the masters upstairs that was no surprise. Her daughter had always slept better cuddled up next to someone her whole life and Terry had become the ultimate sleeping aid when they met. She’d had to stock up on his clothes for the times he was away while in the military just to get a wink, conditioning her body to accept no one’s presence but his to help her sleep.
“Hey baby, how are you?” Y/N’s mother asked.
Y/N tried to muster a smile but felt how off it was, she hoped her mom wouldn’t ask further questions when she said, “I’m fine mommy. What are you guys doing here? I thought we were going to see you on Sunday for the family barbecue.”
Y/N walked over to her parents to hug and kiss them, she sat next to her mom and leaned her head on her shoulder when her mom kept rubbing her back. She closed her eyes and welcomed the affection, it’d been weeks of forcing herself to not seek Terry out for physical contact and it had been hell. That was her top love language and as much as she loved them, kid hugs and kisses only went so far.
“You sure baby? You look tired.”
Y/N locked eyes with Terry again and sighed, “Yeah ma, I’m sure.”
Her father answered her question when he said, “Terry thought it might be a good idea if they had the opportunity to hang out with all the cousins that live nearby that’ll be hanging out tomorrow. Plus I’m sure he’d like some alone time with his wife. It’s been too long since you two have asked for a weekend anyway so it’s no problem.”
“Oh okay. That sounds nice,” she lied through her teeth, avoiding eye contact with Terry at all costs at this point. Diverting her attention she said, “You excited babies?”
She smiled the first genuine one since coming out of the room at the chorus of yes’s that graced her ears.
“Well I got everything in the car, carseat included,” Terry said, closing the front door behind himself, “and here’s some funds for the weekend.” He slipped some money into her father’s hand before he could register what’d been put there.
Her father looked down at what Terry gave him and got up to try and give it back. “Son, we do this everytime.”
“Then you should know that you’re leaving here with that money.”
Her father clapped Terry on the shoulder and they shared some chuckles as he couldn’t do anything, but shake his head and shake his son-inlaw’s hand. Not once since they had kids did Terry ever ask his parents-in-law to watch the kids without making sure they had a good chunk of change. The twins alone had been a handle full and a half since birth but babygirl turned their little hurricanes into big ones. He knew that whenever his wife tried she couldn’t win that argument so he’d made a point to be the one who did to keep the balance they both sought.
“Right you are son. Can’t blame an old man for trying though.”
“I can’t,” Terry said still chuckling. Thank you,” he looked to his mother-in-law as she stood up beside her husband, “both of you. We really need this.”
Y/N’s mom laid her hand on his face and said, “Anytime. You two need to take care of yourselves and each other first more often.” She moved towards the door trying to make this as short as possible. “Now let’s get family, leave these two lovebirds to nest alone.”
Terry and Y/N smiled at each other for the first time in weeks at the sound and sight of their kids saying “ewww” and fake gagging. It brought a pang to Y/N’s heart and she immediately frowned at the realization that they hadn’t seen or heard those reactions in too long.
She stayed seated, the kids coming up one by one to give their mommy a goodbye hug and kiss before they left, as Terry stood holding the door open and hugging and kissing everyone on the way out the door. She damn near cried when her mom kissed her on the forehead, the silent sign that her mom knew something was wrong and they would talk about it later. When Terry finally shut the door and turned around to stare her down all that had been left unspoken seemed to come out from the shadows and sit between them.
“Y/N, kitten?” Terry asked. She stopped looking past him at the door and finally looked at him at the pet name. He had his arms folded and was gripping his biceps to keep from rushing to touch his wife who hadn’t given him permission to touch her in the 5 weeks since she moved to the guest bedroom. They hadn’t played together in over 6 months, her figurative silence having been brewing longer than the weeks she was literally silent. She knew that he was asking for permission with the declaration, handing over his control of the situation with just the two names.
She gulped and whispered back, “Yes, big daddy?”
Terry let out a sigh of relief and released the hold he had on his arms, his hope restored that he hadn’t lost her. He still had a chance to fix this.
“It feels nice to hear you address me again, I’ve missed your voice little one,” he said as he walked towards his wife while rolling up the sleeves on his long sleeve shirt. He had turned the air up a few hours prior and put on the shirt in preparation of this moment. Y/N had a weakness for his arms and hands - over the years he’s learned that wearing long sleeves was the best way to use that to his advantage. With the way her breath hitched, her nipples pebbled beneath her outfit, and she got stuck eyeing his movements was a sight for sore eyes, it’d been too long since she let herself look at him like that. Since she got out of her head long enough for her body respond to him as it had always naturally done. In fact he knew the reason she had been avoiding him and sleeping in the guest room was because he was always able to get back in her good graces with just a few moments of existing. Any of their disagreements always ended with her folding no matter how mad she was throughout their whole relationship, so these last few weeks were a megaphone announcement that she was not playing around this time.
“Huh kitten?”
Y/N had no idea what words were coming out her husband’s mouth. Her pulsing pussy was ringing in her ears and she was lost in thinking about everything those hands could and would do to her. By the time she focused on his words again, Terry was standing in front of her grasping her chin to look him in his mesmerizing eyes.
“Did you even hear what I asked you?”
She gulped again and shook her head no. Curse this man and the hold he had on her. 6 weeks of holding out, staying quiet, and standing ten toes down on her frustrations, and all it took for her to let him back in was a few words and him rolling up his sleeves. Terry hadn’t even done anything yet and she knew that no matter how right she was, no matter how much she wanted to maintain her resolve, and no matter what Terry finally told her about what happened, she would be forgiving him. Hell, she already had the moment she walked into the living room to see her parents.
Terry repeated himself. “I said I missed hearing you address me little one. Did you know that? How much I’ve been aching to hear you speak to me, to be able to touch you. I have permission to touch you now though, don’t I kitten?”
“Ye-,” Y/N had to clear her throat, though it did nothing to clear the lust that had changed her voice to the breathy thing it was, “Yes big daddy.”
“Yes you know how much I’ve been aching or yes I have permission?”
“Yes to both big daddy.”
He raised an eyebrow at that. “How did you know lil mama? We haven’t been talking so I haven’t had time to tell you.”
“Cause I’ve been aching too,” she squeaked out while the wiggle of her hips increased as she tried to create friction with her thighs. Y/N the woman could not help her right now, the only one present was the submissive.
“Have you? I couldn’t tell kitten.” Terry’s neutral expression turned into a frown as he cupped the base of her skull, gripping her locs to pull her head back, eliciting a moan from Y/N as her eyes slid close.
When Y/N opened her eyes again she was met with the fire behind Terry’s eyes and though it wasn’t what she was trying to do, it brought her great joy to see the dom in Terry. Not the soft one he’d been using as a shield, but the real dom, the one she fell in love with all those years ago. It had been entirely too long since he’d come out to play and she was starved. She nodded her head yes.
“Well you’ve done too good of a job hiding it from me these last few months mamas. I think it’s time we fixed that, don’t you?” he asked.
Y/N nodded again, best she could and Terry couldn’t help himself. He slapped her with an open palm, not to hurt her but to bring her focus back and make himself clear as he spoke, his voice deepening with the lust that now clouded every fibre of his being. “Words kitten. You will use them or I will stop.”
“No!”
Terry’s grip on her hair tightened and he raised an eyebrow.
Y/N stuttered to correct herself. “I mean no big daddy, please don’t stop. I’ll use my words.”
“Good. Now we will have that conversation and I will tell you everything you’ve been begging to know, consequences be damned, but I need to release some pent up energy and I know you do too. Are you okay with that?”
“Yes big daddy.”
Terry loosened his grip slightly and his face softened as he took in his wife, hanging onto every word, listening with all of her attention, already neck deep in subspace. “I don’t think you understand.”
“I do, I promise.”
Terry closed his eyes and shook his head. He was terrified, she was too trusting, too ready to give herself over to him for his release. She had no idea how much anger and grief he’d been storing these last few years and he had no idea what letting himself go to indulge would look like anymore. He’d been afraid of himself since the day the Chief handed him that money and he knew before ever seeing with his eyes that Mike was dead. “No you don’t. Kitten, I got a monster that I’ve been hiding from you, hell from myself half the time too, and I know I said I’ll explain later but I gotta make sure you’re warned properly before you agree. I don’t know if I can maintain my control tonight, it’s been too long-”
Y/N cut off his speech to start her own. Briefly breaking character for a moment, she laid a hand on his face and said “Terrance.” His eyes welled with tears he had to do everything to keep from falling when she continued. “I have waited almost 4 years for you to trust me with these shadow parts of yourself. I’ve been missing the version of you who trusted himself enough to allow me to be his release for almost 4 years. I don’t just miss my husband, I don’t just miss my dom, I miss you. Having access to all of you. I trust you.”
One rouge tear escaped and Y/N wiped it away before it make it too far down his face and stood cupping his face with both hands. Terry let his hands fall to her love handles as she kissed him and he let out a deep groan at the sight of her kneeling at his feet, clasping her hands together at the base of her spine and looking up at him with an expression that matched her declaration. “I’m ready big daddy. Do what you will.”
Terry wiped at his face and with his head thrown back he let out a long, “fuck.” Now that he’d started them down this road, he had a feeling that she was going to make him go the distance and it made him feral. His monster had been wanted out, but she just waved a proverbial red flag in front of him. She wanted to meet his monsters so bad? Bet. They wanted to devour her anyway and now, looking at her offering herself up so pretty, he would let them.

you say you think Veth should divorce, could you expand a bit on that if you don't mind? what do you see as a happy ending for her?
To be fair, "should divorce" is kind of a conditional statement. By which I mean, as it stands now, I more think Veth and Yeza need to have a serious conversation about their relationship and start having some open communication about what they both want, and then take things from there--which could end very happily for them! Or it could, theoretically, end in divorce. So, it really depends on how that hypothetical conversation might go that would determine if I actually think they need to get divorced. Tragically, that is much more nuanced and way less funny than just posting #BrenattosDivorceWatch2k24, so here we are.
As for what I think a happy ending for her would be...it's interesting, because I don't think she has an unhappy ending now. I think she is, largely, happy. I would call her ending an imperfect one, and I don't mean that in a bad way--all of Veth's potential endings were imperfect. That was the nature of her conflict in the later campaign, that no matter what she did she was losing in some aspect or another. If she keeps adventuring, she runs the risk of acting the absentee mother to Luc. If she goes home to her family, she's leaving her friends out in the cold and might not be there to help if they need her. Her story was about making a choice and living with the consequences of that choice, which was very much highlighted by her extra-marital feelings for Caleb.
And I don't mean lust here--Veth lusts a lot, famously for Sunbreaker Olomon, which she justified by saying "50/50 chance my husband's already dead, so" 😂. But I mean feelings for Caleb. And I think you'll find that the vast majority of Veth stans are, if not actively on #BrenattosDivorceWatch2k24, then at least more keyed into the marital issues between Veth and Yeza than your average watcher. Because in C2, Veth had what amounted to a long-term emotional affair with Caleb that pointedly did not resolve, and you largely see the general, non-Veth stan audiences fail to acknowledge or engage with that aspect of their relationship and how that, in turn, effected her relationship with Yeza. In c2e85, Veth first hedges that she "used" to have a crush on Caleb, to which Beau replies, "You know, I kind of got that vibe before, thought there might be that feeling." Then, after c2e97, Sam outright stated Veth was frustrated with Yeza and wasn't sure she was still in love with him at all on Talks. In the early 100s, the Veth playlist dropped and confirmed she had romantic feelings for Caleb. In c2e121, Veth and Caleb have an incredibly emotional one-on-one about guilt, how much they love each other, and how much they'll miss each other when Veth leaves, where Veth tells him, "I will always love you." In c2e126, Veth sees Astrid having a breakdown after talking to Caleb and says, "Well, wouldn't you [have a breakdown] if you wanted to be with this amazing young man, and couldn't be because of circumstances tearing you apart?" and then later that same episode tells Caleb "Nothing is more important than you" (to which my good friend, upon watching with me, immediately said, "Umm???? Veth, don't you have a husband and son???").
Then, in c2e129, Luc dies. And from then on out, Veth is wholly focused on finishing out this mission and finally, permanently returning home to her family. Not that this wasn't her goal before, but it's clear that a choice has been made at this point and she's sticking with it. She's choosing her family, which was really the only choice she could make. And a consequence of this decision is that those extra-marital feelings she harbored are never discussed, never confessed to anyone (and I don't mean to Caleb here, I mean, like, to a friend), and fundamentally never resolved.
I said this before somewhere, but I don't think it was a bad choice to avoid finding resolution to this sort of thing in the campaign. It's a bit of a sensitive, awkward topic to noodle around with in your TTRPG. But I do think that lack of resolution to either Veth's frustration with Yeza's easy acceptance of whatever she does or her extra-marital feelings in general led Veth to a place of wanting. Which was always what her story was about to begin with, so there's an interesting symmetry to starting and ending with her wanting something. It was easy to name what she wanted at the start of the campaign--her body back, her life back--and much more difficult to face the idea that you may not be completely satisfied with having all that returned to you, that there's still other things to want.
Though, I actually think the Wildemount Wildlings helped her strike a great balance between the things that she wanted, adventuring and homesteading, just that it was an impermanent solution. Because she's not going to willingly resolve any issues she has with Yeza (nor Yeza with her) because Veth is a terrible communicator who will never outright tell Yeza if she's feeling this way, and Yeza is too passive to really push her into talking, so they just dance around their issues, pretending not to see them while the issues just fester and get worse. That's why I'm a #BrenattosDivorce Truther. Because i HATE indecision and dawdling and staying in a situation where you're not completely happy when it does a disservice to yourself AND your partner and THIS is why I am always the first person in the group chat to say "BREAK UP WITH HIM."
So, yeah, personally? I'd just want that potential for conflict that exists between Veth and Yeza to come to some sort of head. That's my happy ending, vague as it is. But that's far from the only way she might get resolution. Or she might get no resolution, which is as imperfect an ending as any of her options, and I'm okay with that too.

Tragedies of Each Ascendant
(Note that these insights are general observations based on astrological principles and should be verified with specific chart placements, including house rulers. These interpretations are derived from personal experience and the insights of various scholars, and they are not meant to be taken as fixed rules.)
Aries Ascendant:
Aries ascendants often face the risk of physical injury or accidents due to their impulsive and energetic nature. Mars, the ruling planet of Aries, governs both the first and eighth houses, which makes them prone to sudden transformations and crises. If Mars is poorly placed or afflicted in the chart, these transformations can lead to challenges or setbacks, both physically and emotionally.
Taurus Ascendant:
Taurus ascendants may experience health challenges, particularly due to their indulgence in luxury and comfort. Venus, their ascendant lord, also rules the sixth house of health and disease, suggesting that their love for a lavish lifestyle could lead to neglect of their physical well-being. This might manifest in weight-related issues or chronic health conditions if not carefully managed.
Gemini Ascendant:
Gemini ascendants often deal with a strict or disciplinarian father figure, owing to Saturn’s influence over both the eighth and ninth houses. Although the ninth house generally represents fortune and dharma, Saturn's malefic nature can create a heavy atmosphere, resulting in a father who imposes strict rules and high expectations. This can feel burdensome, especially for the naturally playful and independent Gemini.
Cancer Ascendant:
Cancer ascendants are often marked by challenges in their marital life. With Saturn ruling the seventh house of partnership, there can be significant obstacles in relationships, sometimes leading to delays, disappointments, or even separation. This can extend to love marriages as well, where interference from in-laws or other family members complicates the relationship. Emotional pain related to marriage is a recurring theme.
Leo Ascendant:
Like Cancer ascendants, Leo ascendants also face difficulties in marriage. However, for them, the conflicts often stem from a quarrelsome or emotionally distant partner, leading to occasional sorrow in relationships. With Saturn ruling the sixth house of conflict, they may find themselves caught in power struggles or discord within their marriage, which could create lasting emotional challenges.
Virgo Ascendant:
Virgo ascendants often experience tension with their children. This can manifest as periods of significant conflict, where they may feel the need to oppose their own children, despite their nurturing instincts. Saturn's rulership of both the fifth and sixth houses contributes to these struggles. Communication and understanding are key to resolving these tensions, but at some point, conflicts are likely.
Libra Ascendant:
Libra ascendants may encounter trouble with spiritual figures or mentors. Jupiter, ruling their sixth house of obstacles and enemies, can indicate conflicts or challenges arising from those they look up to—be it spiritual teachers, gurus, or religious figures. Libra risings may find themselves in difficult situations during Jupiter’s sub-periods or periods, leading to opposition with saints.
Scorpio Ascendant:
Scorpio ascendants are often prone to accidents or injuries, particularly due to their high levels of activity and impulsive tendencies. Mars, the ruler of their ascendant, is associated with action, competition, and assertiveness, which can sometimes lead to overexertion or physical harm. Their competitive nature, whether in sports or other activities, can result in frequent accidents or even conflicts with others.
Sagittarius Ascendant:
Sagittarius ascendants often face challenges with their social circle or friendships. They may find themselves repeatedly experiencing disappointment or conflict with friends, largely due to Venus' rulership of the sixth and eleventh houses. Their idealistic and independent nature clashes with group dynamics, leading to feelings of dissatisfaction. These challenges may be heightened during Venus’ sub-periods.
Capricorn Ascendant:
Capricorn ascendants tend to have a complicated relationship with their father figure. Mercury's influence over both the sixth and ninth houses suggests a relationship filled with both tension and learning experiences. The father might be a source of both wisdom and challenge, and this dynamic can create a bittersweet or strained connection, especially in times of disagreement or miscommunication.
Aquarius Ascendant:
Aquarius ascendants often struggle with dissatisfaction or tension involving their children. Despite their strong intellect and idealism, they may feel their children fall short of their expectations, causing frustration. Mercury’s rulership of the fifth and eighth houses creates a scenario where the parent-child relationship can be fraught with misunderstanding, and there may be periods of emotional distance or discontent.
Pisces Ascendant:
Pisces ascendants are particularly susceptible to addiction. With Saturn ruling their twelfth house of loss, isolation, and subconscious patterns, they are prone to indulging in unhealthy habits such as alcohol, drugs, or other forms of escapism. Their dreamy and idealistic nature, combined with Saturn’s restrictive influence, can lead them to seek refuge in substances or behaviors that offer temporary relief but cause long-term harm.
Please comment down your opinion. Tell me if you have observed something like that in real life.

I've been in the dkbk fandom for 3 years and my husband is an anime only. We just watched the new episode and he was disappointed. He predicted that Star will die and the plot won't really move forward. He's a sci-fi fan and he's seen many a series fall apart after more characters, complexity, and a war are introduced. I've been avoiding spoling the manga for him but since he's lost interest, I spoiled him and confirmed that the manga has been in a holding pattern for 2-3 years with this final arc. I told him what you said about Bk's death and Deku losing his arms as being symbolic but he said those actions being reversed lowers the stakes and it's hard to maintain emotional investment if you know that major plot points will just get reversed. I wanna believe in Hori but I'm waiting for payoff instead of enjoying the story. Is what's happening really good storytelling if this final battle has been dragging on so long and Deku's characterization has come to a halt?
I’m hesitant to answer this. I said I wouldn't answer any asks that were looking to me for reasons to keep liking MHA, and I really don't want to encourage more asks like this--and yes OP, I don't know if you realize it but that's basically what you're asking. You've framed this question around your husband's opinions, but you're couching your own thoughts inside.
If your issue is that you and your husband like different media, then that's a marital issue to resolve; accept that you shouldn't always watch all media together, particularly if doing so isn't fun for both of you. But your husband doesn't like what's going on in MHA, and this is enough to make you doubt whether or not MHA is written well? Despite the fact that many, many people like MHA in its current form? That sounds more to me like you agree with your husband. It certainly doesn't sound like you tried to sell this story arc to him.
I decided I'll answer a question like this this one time because it'll help me summarize my feelings on these topics, though I'm sorry to say the topics I address may not be what you expect.
"We just watched the new episode and he was disappointed. He predicted that Star will die and the plot won't really move forward."
Is this really a surprise? I don't remember anyone being all that into this arc when it first came out. Everyone was saying Star would die, and yet most people did not correctly predict the actual outcome of this fight--that Star's quirk would be eliminated and Tomura would be weakened. Most guessed Tomura would steal Star's quirk and become overpowered.
"He's a sci-fi fan and he's seen many a series fall apart after more characters, complexity, and a war are introduced."
You mention sci-fi but uh, has your husband watched like...any other anime? Ever? At all? MHA is far from the first shounen anime to do this. You can't really make your husband like MHA if his problem is that he came to an anime restaurant and got upset when there was nothing but anime on the menu.
Seriously, MHA is not doing all that much different with its ending than what Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood did, and that's one of the most critically acclaimed shounen anime of all time. If he's predisposed to dislike the stuff anime does, that's not a writing problem. That's a mismatch of anime with his tastes.
It strikes a nerve with me because I grew up loving anime and was bullied for it by people with opinions such as your husband's. Now, the mainstream-ification of anime has drawn those same sorts of people to anime for whatever reason, and all they seem to wanna do is complain about anime being anime. Take sci-fi for example: I typically hate outerspace-themed media and the concepts such media often explore, and you know what I do? Not watch it. I've decided such media is not for me. Honestly, the same is true for a lot of anime too. I am very picky about anime because there are some tropes or themes I'm just sick of.
"I've been avoiding spoling the manga for him but since he's lost interest, I spoiled him and confirmed that the manga has been in a holding pattern for 2-3 years with this final arc."
This is where it sounds like you primed him with your own feelings, because it certainly doesn't sound like you were selling him. I don't even know what this means. "A holding pattern"? Do you mean the arc has just been going on a long time (see: welcome to anime being anime)? Or do you mean not much has happened with Izuku? Because I am getting a bit of a sense that your issue is you're an Izuku fan and his growth has been slow because the arc has had to wrap up all the other characters' arcs first. Because a lot HAS been happening with all the other characters (and we recently got some Izuku progression too).
The only other thing I can think of is an opinion I've had for a long time. I think a lot of anime fans don't realize they're not actually manga people. You watch an anime you like a lot and you wanna get up to speed, so you go to the manga not understanding that the manga is different from the anime. The pacing is different, as is the presentation and focus on details. The manga presents one or two story points per chapter, whereas anime episodes are 2-3 chapters compressed into one sitting. The anime's major selling point is its fast pacing, but this is not a selling point of the manga--of ANY weekly manga. "2-3 years" means very little in the context of a 15-page-a-week-AT-BEST manga.
"I told him what you said about Bk's death and Deku losing his arms as being symbolic"
The symbolism angle is one thing. I've never really understood why people like any media without symbolism--that's what gives a story its flavor, isn't it? If we're talking about tropes and familiar story structures, the artist's approach to familiar items is precisely what makes it unique and interesting to me. I wouldn't become invested enough to care about Katsuki's death if all that mattered to me was the surface-level event.
But are you saying you spoiled the fact that Izuku lost his arms? That's...not that big of a plot point to spoil if you ask me. Certainly not one I'd bring up as one of the greatest hits of this arc. This is another detail that makes me feel like you're particularly focused on Izuku, which is not a bad thing nor is there anything wrong with that, but Izuku doesn't actually feature very much in this anime season all things considered. It's hard to sell anyone on what's currently happening with Izuku in the manga since we just got to his stuff and it's not complete.
Again, this was what happened with Fullmetal Alchemist. The last arc covered the events of one day that ended the final war. The main characters were only occasionally featured and didn't do all that much in the season until the very end, as one would expect. When it was coming out in manga form, the pacing was admittedly very weird because of this storytelling choice, albeit it felt a bit different from MHA since it was a monthly manga and covered more ground per chapter. But when the same arc was adapted to anime, the feeling and pacing were very different, and a lot of iffy elements improved on me as a result.
"he said those actions being reversed lowers the stakes and it's hard to maintain emotional investment if you know that major plot points will just get reversed."
Is your husband someone who watches things only once and then can't rewatch and enjoy them ever again? Does he only watch stories for plot twists and once he knows the twist he stops liking it?
I don't understand this general obsession with consequences and stakes a lot of people have. Sure, they are elements that can contribute to a mood or feeling in a story, but they're far from the make-or-break linchpins so many people make them out to be. The "reversals" are major plot points too. I find much more enjoyment in trying to follow why a writer would do such things and what they're trying to say than wondering how likely some character is to die or how many people will be brutalized.
I'm in the camp that believes spoilers should not make a difference in whether or not I find a series "good" or whether or not I can invest in it. I personally have played video games specifically BECAUSE they were spoiled for me and it sounded like I would like them, and having those major things spoiled for me did not detract from my enjoyment at all. I'm not saying everyone has to be like me, but I do certainly think a story's ability to persist as an impactful and memorable work has very little to do with its stakes and everything to do with how it handles its story and characters. Was Star Wars memorable and beloved because of how many people were at risk of dying in it? Was something taken away from the story when Luke got a robotic replacement for the hand he lost?
Goodness, didn't the MHA fandom predict for years that Dabi was Touya Todoroki? And wasn't everyone just waiting for the reveal to fucking happen already so we could get it over with? And wasn't the entire fandom surprised and enthralled when the Touya reveal did happen precisely because it was handled in such a unique and cool way with Horikoshi's flair? Did predicting that twist really ruin anything for the story?
A good story is a good story.
"I'm waiting for payoff instead of enjoying the story."
I can't know what payoff you're waiting for. I've enjoyed all the events and details along the way, even if there were some expected dips here and there. When I went back and reread the entire arc in one go, the pacing really hit me differently and I got a lot out of it. If you're not enjoying the story, that's not about whether or not the story is employing "good storytelling." I've enjoyed plenty of stories that were told poorly and sloppily because there were other redeeming features that appealed to me. This is about preference. You and your husband have your own personal preferences, and that's okay! But you both have to manage your preferences with respect to each other and to yourselves.
"Is what's happening really good storytelling if this final battle has been dragging on so long and Deku's characterization has come to a halt?"
If you're actually interested in whether or not MHA has "good storytelling," I'd suggest you take a creative writing class or otherwise learn about the way stories are told in different media i.e. novels vs comics vs TV shows vs movies vs video games. But I honestly don't think that's what you mean. I think you're looking for permission to keep liking MHA even if you personally don't like its storytelling or how Izuku's character is currently being handled. I can tell you from experience that yeah, you can. Plenty of people do it all the time. Some people get so frustrated with the stories they like they write fix-it fanfiction. Some people appreciate the way a story is so perfectly written that they cannot build a fandom around it because they can't come up with anything to add. It's going to depend on you and how you want to approach the situation, and while I'm happy to talk about what I like about MHA and which writing choices I think are well made, that's not going to get us very far if you don't like the same things.
I do often find media that I personally think is not written that well, and like I said, sometimes I like it and sometimes I hate it, but if it's a piece of media with a large fanbase like MHA, I have a hard time calling its writing universally "bad." If it speaks to that many people in some way, clearly there's something about it that reaches people effectively, and who am I to judge? I'm certainly no expert in quality of writing. All I have are what I've taken away from my education in literature/writing, my years of experience with many anime that came before MHA, and my thoughts on all the other media I've enjoyed. My experiences will lead to different conclusions than others'. I know I don't like a lot of what's popular with most people, so I certainly can't hold myself out as some paragon of good taste.
It's okay to like or dislike whatever for whatever reason. I don't always stay with the same fandom. I move around when I find new and good things. I sometimes come back to old things I loved and like it anew or find it underwhelming as I currently am. As of right now, I'm actually willing to say something I never was before, which is that MHA might be one of the best-written manga if not the best manga I've ever read. While FMA is top-tier, its themes are a lot safer than MHA's ambitious goals. MHA was always going to be controversial in some ways just because of what it attempts to do, such as telling its story through comic book-themed superheroes. It also says a lot of political things that risk alienating readers. The levels of risk MHA takes are part of what makes it amazing to me and what makes it a worthwhile piece of art to enjoy. I'm so happy it exists, flaws and all. No story will be universally loved, and that's something I accepted a long time ago when I decided I wouldn't let the bullying stop me from liking anime. All I can hope to do is have the courage to love the things I love and the grace to leave alone the things I dislike for others to enjoy.

Smut below the cut
“Hwa-” You giggled his name as he attacked your neck with kisses. “Can’t you wait until we’re back in the room? There’s cameras in here.” You pretended to struggle against him before ultimately giving in and letting him hold you from behind.
“Who cares? I’m not doing anything bad, just being affectionate with my wife.” He emphasized the last word and your smile grew wider as butterflies took flight in your stomach. You were finally married to the love of your life. You’d been married less than twenty-four hours so it still didn’t feel real and nothing was able to burst the bubble of marital bliss that surrounded the two of you. The only reason you weren’t still laid up in bed and were instead on your way back to the room was because you had to eat.
“Mm well your wife thinks you need to hold your horses.” You teased, watching the number change just before the elevator dinged. “This is our floor, surely you can wait until we’re behind closed doors.” You laughed quietly and took his hand, leading him off the elevator and into the hallway.
You managed to get down the hallway without issue but as soon as you reached the door and had to pause to get your room key out, his arms were around your waist again. You gasped quietly when he nipped at your skin, pushing the door open and lightly swatting his hand. “Stop trying to make me horny in public.” You whisper yelled at him, tugging him into the room.
He chuckled softly as the door closed behind him and took your things from you, placing them on the desk before turning back to face you. “That wasn’t my intention, my love. However, if that’s what happened, I’d be more than happy to resolve the issue for you.” He teased, stepping closer with every step back you took until your legs met the bed and you toppled over onto the mattress.
“Please do.” You murmured, looking up at him with a grin. You held your arms open for him and he quickly crawled over you, slotting himself between your legs. For a moment, everything was still as though time was frozen. He looked down at you with nothing but pure adoration in his eyes as you wrapped your arms around his neck, fingers tangling in his hair. “I love you.” You whispered, taking note of the way his eyes sparkled. You loved when he looked at you like you hung the stars.
“I love you more.” He whispered back before catching your lips in a slow, passionate kiss.
It didn’t take long for things to devolve and soon his lips were on your neck. He mouthed over the mark he’d left the previous night and you let out a soft sigh. “I still can’t believe you did that.” You laughed breathlessly, tipping your head back to allow him better access.
“What, that I made sure everyone knows you’re all mine?” He hummed against your skin, clearly unapologetic.
“Mm maybe I should return the favor then. Don’t you think it’d compliment the claw marks I left last night?” You teased and he suppressed a snort before pulling back to look down at you.
“I would love to wear your marks, darling.” He whispered, watching you for a moment before flipping the two of you over so you were straddling his waist. “Why don’t you give me some?”
You didn’t have to be told twice. You eagerly leaned down and pecked his lips before moving to press your lips against his jaw. He’d forgotten to shave that morning so his slight stubble scratched against your skin but it only turned you on further. You shivered when he let out a sigh close to your ear and moved lower on his neck, your kisses growing messy.
You were becoming more frantic with each open-mouthed kiss until you settled over his pulse point at last. You sucked on his skin as his hands, which had previously been on your hips, slipped underneath your shirt. You hummed and sucked harder, appreciating the way he couldn’t seem to hold still beneath you. You loved knowing how much of an effect you had on him.
You pulled back for a moment to admire the light red spot on his neck and he took the opportunity to remove your top. You allowed him to toss it aside before ducking back down to continue your work. Your teeth grazed the mark and his breath hitched. You couldn’t stop the satisfied hum you let out as you sucked harshly on his skin.
He started to relax when you showed no signs of attempting to bite him and that’s when you decided to strike. You sank your teeth into his skin and he let out a shocked moan, jolting under your touch. You sucked on his neck at the same time and were delighted to feel him getting hard under you. You fucking loved getting him worked up like this. You’d known for a while he liked to be bitten but you were always careful to do it when he least expected it.
You slowly eased up, releasing your bite on him and licking over the mark before pulling back. It was now bright red and would certainly darken in just a short while. “So pretty…” You sighed as you admired your work before lazily shifting your gaze to his face. “I wonder how many more you can take before you lose yourself and have to put me in my place.” You mused playfully and he smirked back at you. “I don’t think you know what you’re getting yourself into. I won’t break so easily. I think you'll be the one losing your cool, honey.” He was mocking you? Guess I’ll just have to prove him wrong.

Do u think there is any significance to the red rose loras gave sansa being brought up frequently? It seems like george doesn’t want us to forget it, sansa remembers it and couple times, and even edric dayne brings it up
I think it's to underline the connection between Sansa, Lyanna and the Winter Rose as three Stark maidens who are stolen/held by kings, are connected to towers, and have children.
The rose imagery in the first book surrounds the two significant tourneys we learn of, and it's strongly tied to Lyanna's "bed of blood". In the second book Sansa's flowering (bloody bed) is framed on each side by chapters about the Winter Rose story (a rose left on the bed to replace a daughter, later again replaced by her with a child). And in ASOS Sansa's rose-laden Tyrell friendship is revealed as duplicitous while Ned Dayne brings it up in a conversation with Arya that will quickly shift to Jon Snow's parentage. Rose petals cover the marriage bed with Tyrion, while Jon keeps rejecting the comparison to Bael the Bard when Ygritte insists on it. A Bael(ish) will eventually succeed in stealing Sansa and dragging her to a remote place under false promises.
Sansa is called a Roadside Rose when attacked by a singer, she becomes dark-haired Alayne (rearranged letters from Lyanna's name) and finds herself assaulted by Bael(ish) in a garden that was planted with blue flowers back when Catelyn saw it in the summer, inside a Winterfell built from Snow. Jon Snow's romantic fantasies contain the desire to give a "flower from the glass gardens" i.e. the place where winter roses are grown in Winterfell, but his partner is a wildly incompatible abuser.
The rose imagery is pretty consistent and ominous. The only thing that stands out is that Sansa's roses were red. Sansa herself often dresses in blue, though.
Jon as the son of a Winter Rose (and a variant of the stolen/captured maiden himself) has unresolved issues alongside these themes that parallel Sansa's, but the bulk of the rose imagery is connected to Sansa. Both are united in sharing foreshadowing for metaphorical patricide. (Baelish, Rhaegar) Both desire to liberate captured Stark maidens (Sansa herself, and Jon sending "Abel" to free "Arya"). Both also share parallels in terms of sexual/marital trauma and the desire to have a family and children and romantic love (i.e. fertility, children, "flowering").
GRRM wants us to keep the roses in mind because they are part of an unfinished theme of injustice and lies that he's still intend on resolving. Chief alongside that is Jon Snow's true mother, Lyanna, but given the rose imagery laden on Sansa, it will go beyond the past into the future.

I see a ton of people in the TWST fandom mischaracterize characters so here is the first of possibly multiple character profiles + analysis I have done on TWST characters to perhaps help those that want to write fics about them.
I’ll start with one character I have written a lot for (some analysis borders on theory):
Riddle Rosehearts
General Overview
- 17 year old male
- Upper or Upper Middleclass
- Raised in a two parent household with parents who have marital issues.
- Only Child
- Both Parents have achieved higher levels education and are Doctors
- Second year high school student
- Attends four year boarding school, students ranging from ages 15-20
- Born and raised in the Queendom of Roses (An Archipelagic Country with what appears to be one main island)
Source Material
- Riddle is inspired by the Queen of Hearts from the Disney adaptation of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carole, Alice In Wonderland.
- Both Lewis Carole’s original writings and the Disney adaptation portray the Queen of Hearts as a childish woman with a quick temper and a penchant for punishing people by ordering that their head be chopped off.
- It’s shown that the Queen of Hearts is unreasonable and quick to act without thinking, as she resolves all conflicts with her orders of beheading.
Beliefs and Values
- Rules-> Riddle strongly believes in the upholding of rules, any breaking of a rule, big or small, should be punished.
- Education-> Riddle places emphasis on education, people should strive for a thorough understanding of subjects and maintain high marks throughout schooling.
- Relationships-> Riddle does not have many friends, but he wishes to have more, he’s exceedingly loyal to those he deems friends, and gives them his trust. He also has a strong loyalty to his family and the values his family has instilled in him.
Childhood and Upbringing
- Riddle’s mother and father fight often, and Riddle himself is aware of this, it is unknown if these fights have been occurring all of Riddle’s life or if this is a more recent development.
- Riddle’s Mother is a controlling woman who micromanaged her son’s life up until he attended Night Raven Academy. She is known to have made schedules for his entire day, manage his education by giving him lessons when he wasn’t at school, manage his meals and calorie intake, and isolate him from children his age.
- Little is known about Riddle’s father beyond the fact he is a doctor and that he fights with Riddle’s mother, but it can be assumed he was aware of Riddle’s mothers treatment of their son, and was either unable to stop it, uncaring enough to stop it, or complicit in it.
- Riddle was seen to have very little free time as a child, the only known free time being when Riddle was delegated time for independent study.
- Riddle was not seen to have gone outside much as a child, but it can be assumed that at some point he was either signed up for horseback riding lessons or taught riding by his mother based on his skill shown in his ceremonial robes vignette. (As it’s unlikely a teen who’s also busy with being a Housewarden and classes would be at a skill level high enough to impress Royal knights, who have likely been riding for years, with only one year of practice)
- Due to being isolated in his early life, Riddle grew up without friends, as a child he met Trey Clover and Alchemi Alchemivich “Che’nya” Pinka, who convinced him to go outside and play with them as well as try a Strawberry tart, when caught, Riddle was taken away and berated for not listening to his mother. He also had his individual study time taken away as punishment for breaking the rules. Riddle also witnessed Trey’s parents being berated for allowing Trey to be such a bad influence on Riddle when this happened.
Behavior
- Riddle is short tempered, he’s extremely focused on his goals and extremely dedicated, when things get in the way of his goals he can easily get irritated.
- Riddle has a tendency to overreact to things, when he sees people who’re breaking the rules he gets unreasonably angry and often reacts with his unique magic “Off with your head!” which forms an ornate collar around the neck of the target which restricts the target from using magic.
- Riddle is displayed to have a compulsion or compulsion like need to follow rules, even going so far as finding ways to follow rules that seem impossible, such as figuring out how to “dry off by taking a walk in the ocean” by walking around in the Octavinelle dorm until he was dry.
- Riddle is prideful, but also aware of and working on his shortcomings, he’s shown to be shameful of his rashness and how he has harmed his classmates, but he still upholds his ideals such as pushing himself and his house to get high grades.
- Despite being strict and short tempered, Riddle is very kind and dedicated to the others in his house and and other students who ask him for aide, he exhibits this many times in dialogue lines where he offers to help people understand material they’re struggling with and instances where he shows support for his underclassmen, such as attending Ace’s basketball game when invited.
Analysis and Interpretation
- Riddle Rosehearts was raised by a controlling mother who would emotionally abuse him when he went against her rules, this instilled a deep rooted fear within him. If Riddle breaks a rule, something bad will happen. He cannot break a rule, it terrifies him to break a rule. Riddle also wants to protect those around him from this as well, since he saw how Trey and his parents were treated by his mother. Riddle enforces the harsh punishment of temporarily taking away peoples magic in order to protect them from the worse consequences of their actions and stop them from committing more offenses.
- Riddle wants to be liked by his peers. He’s not purposely trying to separate himself from them by punishing them as Housewarden nor does he necessarily think himself better than them. He wants to make friends with people, he’s only ever been able to make friends with Trey and Che’nya. He wants to be a normal kid, but he can’t, he doesn’t know how to interact with people his age and that makes it hard for him to make friends.
- Riddle could have OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)-> people with OCD have three main symptoms, Intrusive Thoughts/Obsessions, Compulsions, and Anxiety. The intrusive thoughts of someone with OCD pair with a compulsion, creating the anxiety: “If I don’t (carry out the compulsion), (Intrusive thought) will happen.” OCD is more likely to develop when someone experiences trauma or when their parents exhibit similar behaviors, and Obsessions and Compulsions usually have themes. Riddle has experienced trauma from his upbringing, watched his mother make such meticulous schedules that he had to follow, and has an apparent belief that breaking the rules will end in something bad happening, which leads to the possibility that his need to follow the rules is a theme of his compulsions, especially since he goes to extreme lengths to follow them and gets upset when others don’t.
There’s more I can say but I think this is a good sort of reference sheet for anyone looking to write about Riddle as a character.

I was listening to a Podcast called sawbones (a marital tour of misguided medicine) while playing a game and they were talking about “medical jewelry” and the hosts were like:
sydney: Magneto(magnet- o) therapy, not to be confused with magneto(mag-neat-o) therapy.
Justin: honestly he could use therapy to help resolve his anger issues, because however justified they are interfering with his life.
(Not exact quotes cuz it was two hours ago but it won’t leave my mind and I wanted to share)
everyone could benefit from a lil therapy really but especially big dog over here thats so true

In regards to this interview, I’m making my official Lone Star series finale prediction.
I think TK and Carlos are the only two that are for sure safe. I just really can’t see them killing them, especially if they’re thinking about making a Ranger Carlos spin off (which we have no conformation of, but seems like a door they’d want to leave open)
I think Judd, Tommy, Nancy, Mateo, Marjan and Paul all have pretty equal odds of dying. With Judd, Tommy and Marjan sitting maybe slightly higher on the list. Idk why, but the three of them all kind of have character death vibes.
But you know who I REALLY think is gonna die? Or at least who I think would be the most satisfying of them to die… is Owen. I’m not gunning for his death. I’ve become kind of fond of his dumbass lately. But I think he’s really the only one where death would be a satisfactory to close out his story line. He is the man who has cheated death time and time again. First on 9/11 then with his cancer. Plus might I add, his character journey has been focused very much on the survival of his family, and more specifically the survival of his son. The whole show started because he wanted to save his son. He wanted to see TK live and find joy. TK is saved. He’s happy (aside from his current marital issues which I’m confident will be resolved shortly). He’s clean. He’s safe. And he has found his person. And Owen has lived to see all of these things happen. His life’s mission is complete. The other addition to this is one of Owen’s biggest personal struggles has been his inability to save his crew (his family) on 9/11. What better way to have his character come full circle, than to have him die saving the 126?

Spoilers for Across the Spider-Verse!
I just realized that our main trio all break canon in important ways! Miguel has all his focus on Miles because he’s probably the most obvious anomaly, but the other two aren’t traditional spider men either!
Peter Parker can get the girl, but he’s never getting a happily ever after. But Peter B. is!!! He’s happily married with a kid, resolves his marital issues and is currently living his best life. He had that period that seems to define what Miguel sees as the right place for a spider man to be, where he was sad and and suffering, but was still a hero. But he changed that! More importantly, Miles changed that!
And I should just be able to say the words « Gwen Stacy » and people get why she’s an anomaly. One of the many many great visual parallels the movie has is when Gwen is falling and Miles tries to catch her, like Spider-Man has done and failed a million times in a million worlds. But Miles saves her! Not only that, she also saves herself. Miles is also changing canon!
(Side note, I love how successful Spider-Gwen has been. The creators explicitly wanted a new generation to see Gwen as something other than ‘Peters dead girlfriend’ and they succeed!)
Ive seen people say similar things about the other spiders in Gwen’s group at the end, but these three were the most important and most obvious to me. God damn this movie rules and I can’t wait to go through it with a fine tooth comb

How long do you think Hayley and Jackson would have lasted had he not died?
Tumblr media
It's hard to say since the writers kind of changed Hayley a lot to accommodate Jackson.
A lot of their marital problems came from them just not knowing each other. They knew each other for less than six months before Hayley died and lost Hope and Jackson ran off to the woods. They didn't see each other for about six months. Then Jackson comes back and they get married within a month. We see Jackson wanting Hayley to put the pack first and abandon her connections to the Mikaelsons, while Hayley wants Jackson to live in the Quarter and help raise a Mikaelson. They also both went into the unifications with different intents. While Hayley does say she did it for herself, we know that's not entirely true. She never would have done it if not for Hope and the pack.
I think that is the fundamental issue with their marriage. To Hayley, it was a political alliance that could grow into more. To Jackson, he was already in love with a version of Hayley he had in his head. Hayley could never live up to the idea of Andrea and Hayley was already in love with another man so she couldn't fully love Jackson the way he wanted.
I do appreciate that Jackson begins to see his fault in the marriage right before his death. Before that, he would just give Hayley ultimatums and not admit any of the fault in their problems. It was up to Hayley to bend and change to make the marriage work. We see a bit of change in Jackson in the Christmas episode. I think Jackson may have been able to keep this up, but it didn't actually resolve anything. They never actually discussed their issues or resolved any of them.
All of this to say, I don't think they would have lasted much longer. For one, Jackson's death felt inevitable in the show. As I said in an earlier post, the writers viewed the werewolves as disposable. But had he not died, I can't see Hayley putting up with it for much longer. They softened her out a lot to fit with Jackson. The Hayley that stood up to Elijah in their relationship and demanded what she needed would not have tolerated Jackson forcing her to choose between family and pack. I don't think Jackson would ever have really let it go. They probably would have been together for a few more months. Jackson fleeing to the bayou whenever he got upset. But this would have worn on Hayley. Neither of them were actually happy together.
I also don't buy that they had to be together for the unification to work. Only that they had to be co-alphas. Jackson walked out multiple times and left for weeks at a time. So they were not living together as husband and wife. They could have separated and kept their pack. I also think if Jackson stepped down, the pack could maintain their power from following Hayley as an alpha. It is her pack and her powers after all.
Thanks for the ask!
