in my mind i image this tunnel to be just a small thing, the dirt crumbling around the round walls. mary must have led neil out, fingers scaping into the walls in the haste to get out as fast as possible. do you ever think when they finally made it out she took a second to look at her dirty shoes and the dirt inbetween her nails and thought, “i did it.” with a grim determination she never felt before?

do you ever think neil would look down at his nails after she died and think about that day they left; the dirt under his nails that turns to blood as he remembers her dying?

do you ever think he looked at the blood and dirt and though, “we never really did it.”

do you ever think that when he was down there in the cellar remebering where he was and how he ran that he looked down at his hands, saw the dirt again, and was sad because he knew mary tried and- and they never really did it. and now they are both gone, one dead, one dying.

do you ever think that, after he survies, he looks down at his hands in that hospital bed and sees the dirt and thinks, “we actually did it, and you arent here to see it.”

what's this? fanart for @nyoomerr's fic speak your mind (not that much!) ? Again? Yes! I love that fic with all my heart and soul. You should go read it! And leave a kudos & comment because it's amazing and the author deserves everything.

Anyway, this took me around 14 hours total T^T. INSANE. 9 & 1/2 of those hours were on the first page, which is wild to me, because I drew it second & very nearly decided to do just the second page. If I had to guess the culprit, it would be THE HANDS. I HATE DRAWING HANDS. Also, the sketches this started out as under the cut! (Also also, tumblr is MURDERING my vibrancy & resolution what is going onnn)

So I actually drew this on paper, originally, because I was doing it during a series of lectures & didn't have my tablet, and it started out formatted a bit differently.

The second of these is my planning page, so the sketches there are ROUGH. Also, at the time I was drawing this, I’d literally never done a comic before.

Anyway, after that, I started digitizing the second page, but I decided I didn’t like the arrangement of it. So because it’s easier to sketch layouts on paper, that’s what I did! Twice.

And so I got that done, and digitized it, and I then started messing around with the first page. You know, the one I completely skipped working on for no apparent reason.

This is how I planned it out, on the notes app, on my phone, drawing with my finger. (At 1:25 in the morning. Y'know, like a normal person!)

And then I spent forever drawing, a final version and now I'm here! I know this is kinda weirdly long for an art post, sorry about that. I just think it's cool to see the full weird process! Weird because usually my pieces don't go through so many mediums and revisions before the final version.

svsss au where there's a system glitch that happens as shen yuan saves liu qingge from his qi deviation, resulting in sy's system being linked to lqg as well. aka, they share a system account. they share quests and points and everything. this... Changes things. such as well, the implications and fallout of an early system/identity reveal to one person, someone that hated the original shen qingque. but also, lqg being forced to have to work together and cooperate with an "imposter"! like in my head i can see lqg being rlly conflicted abt everything that's going on at the start. sy will get over it somewhat quickly i think because sure, why not, fuck you system!! but also in pidw lqg isn't a major character so i can see him having less hangups abt working w him. like his experience w lqg is basically a blank slate. but lqg? he has history w sqq. he simultaneously is on a blank slate and a huge monolith of history/shared experiences/past. he needs to not only adapt to that but also his new situation of sharing sy's system.

i've been microwaving this idea in my head for the last day or so and mmmm yes.s i love lqg. i haven't read svsss in like 4 or 5 years maybe so my memory of certain things is kinda fuzzy but i Cannot get this au idea out of my head

This is the dynamic that was missing from the final Deku versus Shigaraki fight. Izuku and Gentle's initial confrontation is marked by immense mutual respect for the other's resolve while still refusing to bend due to their inherently conflicting objectives. They both spoke about their hardships and ideals with one another and acknowledged the value of each other's dreams while having a flashy all-out shounen battle.

In fairness, Shigaraki did talk about his suffering and resolve in their final confrontation, but it felt unsatisfying because Izuku hardly responded and never reciprocated. And while BNHA pushes back against the concept of saving a person with the "he is just like me" logic, Shigaraki was looking for mutual understanding. He wanted to commiserate with Izuku at least on some level since Act One during the Mall Scene. He overcame his hatred because of the bonds he created with other people. Shigaraki was the type of character who grew through the connections he made with others, so Izuku avoiding emotional connection was a recipe for failure.
