And when they announce that you're about to land he gently shakes you awake, already missing the warmth of your cheek on his arm but enjoying the way you blink sleepily, eyebrows furrowed in confusion as to why you're suddenly back in reality and not lost in dreams of a sharp jaw, broad shoulders, and glasses.

Wonwoo who eventually asks if you wanna come over and watch the movie you’ve both been talking about at work and when you say yes he runs home and forces his roommate to help clean the place top to bottom before you arrive. And when you come over in comfy clothes with snacks and plant yourself on the couch he feels an odd sense of deja vu, like of course you look like you belong in his apartment curled up on his couch. When there's a particular scary scene you hide behind your hands and he just laughs at you which makes you slap his arm and you didn’t realize you two had moved so close to each other and when the movie ends and you just sit there, Wonwoo turns to you with messy hair and that look in his eye so you take your chance

Coworker Wonwoo who just smiles when his coworkers call you his girlfriend because he really likes the idea of that

re: your post abt bottom surgery, that is super true and i agree, but bottom surgery (at least for trans women, and im talking abt a full vaginoplasty) requires like a full year of recovery, meaning they couldnt work for a year at least. there may be services to help fund the surgery itself but ive never seen anything abt helping trans ppl after the surgery, do you know of any resources like that? /nm /gen my wife has wanted bottom surgery for a while but it kind of seems like shes conceded that it wont really be possible :[ (also srry for the random anon i was gonna just reply to the post cuz we're mutuals but i got anxious)

Recovery is probably the WORST part of the financial burden and that's the bit i'm currently working out! I'm really lucky that i currently don't pay rent which is a funny thing to feel lucky about, i'm borderline homeless, but my game plan has been to get all the government benefits i can (like food stamps!) so i have some help, and file an extended leave form with work! Your work is required to let you take extended leave for a medical procedure without risk of job loss, legally.

Aside from that, it's gonna be TOUGH, but the plan is a lot of budgeting and asking for help. Any trans surgery- but especially bottom surgery- is a very "YOU WILL NEED TO ASK FOR HELP" thing, i'm afraid. Make a game plan for people who you know can help bring you food and medicine, who might be able to help you physically or with rides to the appointments, and preferably, if at all possible, people who could help you pay for food or rent. If this isn't possible, i would DEFINITELY check around to see if your city has any trans/queer centers/orgs. These sorts of places often have community funds, or can help get you in touch with fundraisers and/or help boost yours. THESE ARE VERY VALUABLE RESOURCES, SO DON'T BE AFRAID TO TALK TO THEM! Queer organizations in my area have helped so much with putting me in contact with people who could help me so i seriously recommend it. You WILL need to rely on friends and community a little (and family if possible, but i know that's not one i'm leaning on, so i don't assume everyone else can.). It sucks to feel like a mooch, but remember that when you're recovering from a big surgery like this, it's your turn to be one. You'll need help!

Fundraising and budgeting ahead of time is ALSO a massive help! I know it can suck loads and not everyone can be publicly out in their city, but i would recommend, if you can, sharing your fundraiser to LOCAL pages. You're more likely to get help from people in your direct community than strangers online (though you might also wanna share it to them too, for as wide of a net as you can!)

For the record....

When I get bad customer service, which luckily enough for me, has seldom happened in REAL life [only when I have called places I have gotten really bad customer service. Believe me, I remain very calm all the way through and when I hang up, I have to think strategically on how to fight that shit and solve it myself cause.. wow.] , I never complain.

All I think in my head is... Oh well... this person is having a day. Wish I wasn't making their day so shitty. Cause this is real life. This isn't the internet.

On the internet I'll go HAM on a person, if they piss me off enough. Which usually doesn't happen either because if they start fucking around, I either sit there and sigh about them doing so. Or go in with a tired retort. You know, like that last time I called a Melanin Redacted asshole 'Gimli'. To be quite honest, I think that was too nice, of me. But he really did look like GIMLI! lol.

However, IN real life, you gotta choose your battles and I'm not about to fight a teenager who's just fed up with putting up with people, even if they're not saying anything about how fed up they are. Their actions are loud enough for me. If they treat me badly, I don't say anything, and I just stare at them like they're aliens. I think they feel it sometimes. But like I said, seldom happens. Despite their shitty jobs, most if not all the people my mom and I usually run into are very nice.

.... Now that I am trying to re-enter the job market in one to one scenarios, or in person, now I can go back to those children that have had bad days with me and understand them even more.

We're all fed up with corporates. Those fuckers need to choke on their greed and insane disregard for people's livelihoods. That's my conclusion to this.
