Ugh, why does nobody talk about class 78 as the remnants like they would be so strong. Like you have people like chihiro, sayaka, mondo, kiyotaka, byakuya, and Sakura there who will carry everyone, and still everyone else could still be crazy good. Heck, even some like kyoko. Personally, I have trouble finding what she would do, but still, she could lead on fake cases. Makoto could do what monoka did when giving her speech to the monokumas, ect, like omg. Like, I always see an AU with V3, but THH would be wayyyyyy too overpowered. Like in the show I'd say 1. Have chihiro and Makoto be the first ones brainwashed into despair. Chihiro could easily make the despair video with ai and I say Makoto because he's the most hopeful of the class and like the glue for them so have the one person who keeps the class together fall into despair and rub onto everyone else will make everyone fall under it (plus taunting them with past trauma/insecurities and the despair ai video). Like Sakura and mondo are terrifying they're so physically strong same with aoi like she could make a swimming league to guard the coast of the seas. Like celestia could use the money she gets from gambling to fund those crazy executions like in the games to creativity execute people. Makoto knows how to put up a debate and convince people and add that with despair could easily get followers and his luck could turn good for him (i.e like he does something then something desaterious happened around him) so good for him because despair but bad for eveyone else. Toko and hifumi i saw someone say that they could make fake news so nobody would trust the news. kiyotaka could take over and then a whole ahhh dictatorship going on. Chihiro could hack into the future foundation AND governments. sayaka is soooo popular she's the Beyonce and Taylor swift of danganronpa. Like yes class 77 was crazy but the fact that basically all of class 78 is so famous and they all have talents/abilities/power to do all that is insane.

Just curious Junko, let's say you have all three classes available to you, but would only be able to get 14 of them on your side, you and Mukuro don't count as part of class 78 for this, who do you pick to become Despairs?

I firmly believe Nekomaru was the reason the canon remnants were able to work as a team as well and as long as they did after Junko died

Okay fine, in all seriousness... Future Foundation! Makoto climbing on Remnant! Nekomaru's back General Headcanons

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- I imagine this encounter would happen in the middle of a battle between Future Foundation forces and the Remnants.

-At first, Nekomaru is more amused than angry. The fact that Makoto had the guts to even approach him, let alone climb onto his back, is something worthy of a modicum of respect. In a weird way, he views this as some kind of challenge. If Makoto can hold on, then maybe he's someone worth paying attention to.

-Makoto, on the other hand, almost immediately regrets this decision. He climbed onto Nekomaru's back in the hopes that doing so will prevent Nekomaru from causing more damage. "If I'm on his back, he can't smash as much stuff, right?" Spoiler alert, he can and will. -Nekomaru is not going to go easy on Makoto. Have you ever been to the local fair and seen those bull-riding machines where you have to stay on its back as it goes crazy? It's just like that, on steroids. Nekomaru will continue to run, jump, and attack without breaking a sweat, while Makoto's knuckles go white from holding on tight.

-Out of sheer habit, Nekomaru's coach instincts kick in, and he adjusts his stance automatically to keep Makoto on, even if just to continue hearing him scream. Not like it hinders him or anything. To Nekomaru, Makoto weighs next to nothing.

-On the outside, Makoto tries not to show too much panic (he's failing) but inside he's absolutely freaking out. He definitely regrets even trying this in the first place, but he stubbornly refuses to let go. -Nekomaru, despite being a Remnant, finds himself impressed by Makoto's persistence. "This kid is tougher than he looks," he thinks. As he's running around, Nekomaru insists on giving Makoto pointers. "Your grip is weak! You need endurance training!" No matter the state, Nekomaru is GOING to give fitness advice.

-Nekomaru secretly enjoys the chaos. It’s the most fun he’s had since falling to despair, which makes him slightly conflicted about his role as a Remnant. Despite still being an enemy, in future encounters, he'll get Makoto out of the way of danger. He'd claim "I can't let my riding partner get crushed that easily!"

-Word spreads within Future Foundation, that Makoto's managed to earn the respect of one of the Remnants mid-battle. Some think that Makoto's fearless, and others thing he's just insane. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Makoto Naegi had done some pretty reckless things before, but this one takes the cake. Arms locked desperately around Nekomaru Nidai’s neck, Makoto clung to the rampaging giant’s back like his life depended on it—which, in all honesty, it probably did.

"WHAT KIND OF STRATEGY IS THIS, KID?!" Nekomaru bellowed, voice booming with both confusion and delight. "DO YOU THINK CLIMBING ON MY BACK WILL STOP ME?! HA! YOU’RE IN FOR A WILD RIDE!"

With that, Nekomaru took off like a missile, leaping over obstacles and plowing through walls as if they were made of paper. Each step felt like an earthquake, and Makoto gritted his teeth to keep from screaming.

“This... might have been a mistake,” Makoto muttered to himself, arms aching as he struggled to stay latched onto the human hurricane beneath him.

Nekomaru laughed, a manic grin plastered across his face. "GUTS! I LOVE IT! LET’S SEE IF YOU CAN HOLD ON, KID!” Nekomaru roared with glee, doing an unnecessary front flip mid-sprint. Makoto yelped as his stomach flipped over inside him.

“Okay, listen—” Makoto tried to reason between gasps. “You don’t have to do this, Nekomaru! I know you’re still in there—somewhere under all the despair! You’re stronger than this!”

For a moment, the only sound was the pounding of Nekomaru’s footsteps, kicking up dust and rubble. Then, to Makoto’s surprise, Nekomaru’s grin faltered, if only slightly.

“Why…” Nekomaru muttered, slowing to a jog. “Why are you holding on so tight, huh? You could’ve bailed by now, but you didn’t. Why?”

“Because...” Makoto adjusted his grip, wiping sweat from his brow. “I believe in you.”

Finally, Nekomaru let out a deep, hearty laugh that echoed through the broken landscape. “ALRIGHT, KID! YOU WIN THIS ROUND!” He crouched slightly, letting Makoto slide off his back. “But you need to work on your grip strength. You’re gonna need more endurance if you want to survive rides like that!”

Makoto wobbled on his feet, catching his breath. “I don’t think I ever want to do that again.”

“HA! Nonsense!” Nekomaru clapped a hand on Makoto’s back with so much force that it nearly knocked him over. “From now on, anytime you need a lift, you call me, okay?"

Makoto groaned, rubbing his sore arms. “That’s... really not necessary.”

But Nekomaru wasn’t listening. “Next time, we’ll go twice as fast! Gotta build that core strength!” He gave Makoto a wide grin. “After all, every great warrior needs the right training!”

Nekomaru ran off, probably to wreak more havoc. Despite himself, Makoto let out a small, tired laugh. Somehow, against all odds, the tiniest flicker of hope had made its way back into Nekomaru’s heart. For Makoto, maybe that rough ride was worth it.

Working so many villain aus be like :)

I always like the idea of making characters interact with their artists so I decided to take a break and make this somewhat comedic scenario with a couple of the designs I made (my Remnant!Makoto’s outfit based on the design from @thiscatdraws MLP despaired Makoto design!!) and showcasing their new personalities alongside @spittyfishy Remnant!Kaede and Shuichi :00

Since I’ve got Makoto and Serena’s designs all done I’ll probably post them at some point once I got a couple more characters done from their respective series (and Deku as well because I’m still workshopping his lol

Do you have an estimate for how much each of the remnants personally killed (not through manipulating others)? Have Kiyotaka, Kyoko, Chihiro or Byakuya killed anyone personally as remnants or are they mostly indirect?

I can't say exact numbers for some of them so I will keep it roughly. For the timeline I'm saying around the time that thh would have played so 1 year after the begin of the tragedy

Chihiro: 0

Aoi: 70+

Hifumi: 25-27

Leon: 100+

Mondo: 80+

New Au drop? This literally came to me before I slept.

Basically, the idea is like, the canon of Danganronpa THH but years and years later. The world is relatively fixed again and all seems okay once more. Of course, the world never truly becomes the same. Tragedy. Plus, there could still be small remains of the Remnants of Despair lurking around too. But, anyway, the main cast in this would be in their mid-to late 20s at this point and Hiro being a bit older since he's the oldest one in the group. This idea is mostly centered around Makoto, Kyoko, and Byakuya though Toko, Syo, Hina, and Hiro can also be involved. Plot goes something like this: Makoto now is a well known and influential figure in Japan as well as the world since he's the Ultimate Hope. He's no Prime Minister of Japan but he's still highly important. Kyoko works as his right hand woman of course though she still does detective work cus there's no way she's leaving that field. Meanwhile, Byakuya's doing his heir stuff and ensuring the economy doesn't plummet. However, after, let's say some sort of live-broadcast meeting with the Prime Minister occurs or maybe Makoto was doing a seminar and he ends up collapsing on stage. This then leads to some public outcry. Main realization's that Makoto's been working his ass of and the signs of him having a public health scare were there. Maybe then, some sorta petition is made like "Let this poor man rest, damn it" At the same time, Kyoko and Byakuya are also having issues as well. Like, people who are still alive who know them notice that they look dead at times or just tired. Thus, they look at the movement rising and are like "Yeah. You two are taking a holiday". I mean, every since the killing game, these guys have being doing this and that and so much other stuff that can be too much for anyone! Then, this could lead to a story of Kyoko, Makoto, and Byakuya fully reflecting on everything in their lives while also living together as a support unit. Was thinking the reason for this is that Makoto and Kyoko are close and they already had living arrangements together. Maybe the two also have sleeping issues so they live together to help with that. As for Byakuya living with them, maybe he started visiting Kyoko and Makoto before it slowly became him just living there. Or, maybe Byakuya at this point of his life at least lives in a smaller house or mansion. Perhaps overly big ones remind him of all of his family minus his butler being dead. Thus, smaller mansion. Maybe his staff though is like "How about you go to another place for your holiday" and basically kick him out (nicely of course) so he doesn't end up working instead of resting for a change. By now, the world doesn't need to rely on killing game survivors as much anymore. Other people out there have had that time to reflect and, though there is still of that "public figure worship" stuff, it's not as egregious. Like, the realization came that the fact that the Ultimate's where treated as these higher beings isn't the best thing after all the world's went through. The other survivors can of course appear too like what Toko and Komaru are doing now since they aren't out there fighting Monokuma units anymore, how Syo is doing now as a former serial killer, how Hina's holding up and coping with both the loss of Sakura and the more recent loss of her younger brother Yuta or if Hiro finally got his debt paid! Also, I feel they all live relatively close to one another. Like, they all just aren't comfortable attempting to separate due to all that they've dealt with. So, they all don't take like plane trips to visit each other. Basically, this is like a slice of life after things have cooled down. If someone out there who's way better a writing this kinda stuff wants to take a crack at it, go right ahead! Can add to it and really make this idea shine. I don't really plan to make fanfiction at the moment. Don't have an AO3 or anything nor do I have the time to start at the moment. My only attempt of fanfiction was an unfinished work sooo... yeah I feel this idea has promise though!

Alrighty so! It’s been ages since I got to do a new remnant design, but with the au’s getting so much focus recently (you all are the best seriously) it seemed like now's the time!

Circus and I started chatting about the THH remnant au again, so I got to finally design Celestia! And I know it’s a bit out there but hear me out lol.

So I based her look and design off like, an old west showgirl/madam because gambling was a big thing during that time period, and because it was also considered wild and unrefined which contrasts Celeste trying to imitate European royalty in canon. She’s still got a lot of gold and jewels to show the opulents of the mega casino she runs, and of course unreasonably big hair lol

Her and Togami share territory, and it’s basically like a capitalist nightmare lol. For Celeste specifically, she runs a giant Casino people tend to come in and then never come out (if anyones familiar with the Lotus Casino from the first Percy Jackson book sort of those vibes.) all the games are rigged and it’s almost impossible to win any of them, so then if you want to keep playing you have to get a loan from the house and then they’ve gotcha.

She generally seems fairly content most of the time, but can snap at a moments notice, basically her canon personality turned up to eleven.

Listening to "A Million Gruesome Ways To Die" from Billie Bust-Up, and all I can think about is various Danganronpa executions, or alternatively, an animatic about the Remnants of Despair.

If only I could animate.

Also ''I've Had Enough Of You" from the same game, is giving Chapter 6 Tsumugi in the best way, and I need to see it come to fruition.

DC / Danganronpa crossover part 5!

(Part 1 , Last , Masterlist)

If this is the first one you've seen - I'm making a crossover of DC comics and Danganronpa by assigning the characters a vigilante that I think suits them

This is some Gotham villains using characters from all three main games!

Joker - Junko Enoshima

- it's gonna be batfam-centric and I need her to be the main villain so joker was really the only option

- kinda crazy, abusive to their loved ones, tortured/killed some kids/teens

Harley Quinn - Mikan Tsumiki

- I wanna be clear that I do not ship Junko and Mikan (or Harley and Joker), I think their relationships are similar though

- Kinda forced into crime bc she thought an abusive serial killer loved her and she wanted to make them happy/prove herself

Poison Ivy - Ibuki Mioda

- This is a loose link (it's more that she fit the group rather than she fit the character) but I wanted to make Ibuki a villain as well as Mikan bc I wanted that relationship to stay.

- Also, I like harlivy and bandaid is a popular ship so I figured it'd be good.

Riddler - Tsumugi Shirogane

- Not that sure for this one but I needed Tsumugi to be a villain bc she's the mastermind

- The "it's all fiction" thing confused everyone in and out of the game (my interpretation here) and since she likes to tell people complicated and confusing things, the riddler felt like a good pick

Two Face - Toko Fukawa / Genocide Jill

- I originally put her as Robin but I felt this worked a lot better (I edited part one with my new robin pick)

- The split personality is not how DID works but it is kinda how two face works. One side is an intelligent, well-meaning person and the other is a serial killer

- She's like the only person I could imagine two face being, they're pretty similar characters if you think ab it

And then we have Mukuro and Monaca. Idk if I want Mukuro to be a villain or not but I have no idea who she should be either way. Pretty much the same problem with Monaca but I'm pretty sure she should be a villain? I might just make her jokers sidekick or smth because my head is empty. Please lmk if you have any ideas!

It's probably just me but junko's personality feels a bit different anytime she interacts with someone from the class?

That's because she purposefully changes it depending on what the other person wants to see.

With yasuhiro she played dumb to make him feel smarter than her. It makes yasuhiro subconsciously believe he would have the upper hand or be able to outsmart her (yasuhiro isn't as stupid as he sometimes makes himself look like, he's quite the scammer)

With chihiro she played a bit of a savior role, making herself look bigger than him (even though she literally is) and making him believe he would need her in order to feel better.

With sayaka she acted empathetic and like a best friend in order to see into her life and take the chance when she sees it.

I could go on but the point is, she changes it on purpose. She's supposed to appear a bit artificial, even to the characters themselves because that's what draws their interests or atleast attention in. Even from characters like byakuya
