7 Steps to Measure the Reliability of Hosting Service Providers
Tumblr media
The reliability of a web hosting provider is an important factor to consider when selecting hosting service providers for your website or application. To measure the reliability of a web hosting provider, you should look at the uptime percentage, the average response time, and the customer support provided by the provider.
Additionally, you should check the reviews of the hosting provider and investigate the history of outages, if any. With careful research, you can make an informed decision when selecting a web hosting service providers.
Check for Reviews and Testimonials
When researching a web hosting provider, it is important to check for reviews and testimonials in order to gauge the reliability of the provider.
Reviews and testimonials can provide insight into the quality of the provider’s service, customer support, uptime, and other factors that may affect the user experience.
It is also important to look for reviews and testimonials that are recent and from reliable sources in order to get an accurate picture of the provider’s reliability.
Check for Uptime and Downtime
Uptime and Downtime are important indicators of a web hosting provider’s reliability. Uptime is the percentage of time a website is available and functioning properly.
Downtime is the amount of time that a website is offline and unavailable. Uptime and downtime should be monitored and tracked over time to ensure that a website is consistently available to its visitors. By checking the uptime and downtime of a web hosting provider, customers can determine if the provider is reliable and if their websites are regularly available.
Check for Security and Backups
Security: Security should be one of the highest priorities when selecting a web hosting provider. It is important to confirm that the provider has a secure hosting environment with measures like firewalls and SSL certificates in place to protect your data and website from cyber threats.
Backups: It is important to ensure that your web hosting provider has a reliable backup process in place. This will ensure that your data is backed up regularly and can be restored in the event of any data loss.
It is also important to confirm that the provider offers data redundancy, which will protect your website from any potential downtime.
Consider the Technical Support
Technical support is a critical aspect of reliability, as it can mean the difference between having a website that works properly and one that does not. Technical support staff should be available at all times to assist customers with any issues they may have with their web hosting services.
They should be knowledgeable and able to provide solutions quickly in order to minimize downtime and ensure customer satisfaction. Technical support should also be able to provide customers with updates and advice on new features, security updates, and other related topics.
Consider the Features and Pricing
When considering the reliability of a web hosting provider, it is important to consider the features and pricing they offer. Features such as server uptime, data storage, and backup services will help determine the reliability of the service provided.
Additionally, the pricing should reflect the value of the features offered. If the pricing is too low, it could indicate that the provider is cutting corners and not providing the features necessary for reliable hosting. On the other hand, if the pricing is too high, it could mean that the provider is charging for features that are not necessary and not providing the best value.
Check for the Reputation
When checking the reputation and reliability of a web hosting provider, it is important to look at reviews from other users, as well as industry experts. Reviews can give you an idea of the quality of service and support provided by the web hosting provider.
Additionally, it is important to look at the uptime record of the web hosting provider, as well as their response times to customer inquiries. It is also a good idea to research the security protocols and other safety measures taken by the web hosting provider to ensure the safety of your website and data.
Finally, checking the financial stability of the web hosting provider can also be a good idea, to ensure that they will be able to keep your website up and running for the long haul.
Ask for References
When considering a web hosting provider, it is important to ask for references. References can provide insight into the reliability and performance of the hosting provider.
They can also provide valuable information about customer service, uptime, and any other issues that may arise during the course of the hosting relationship. By asking for references, you can avoid potential problems and make sure you are getting the best possible service for your website.
Conclusion
Overall, assessing the reliability of a web hosting provider can be a daunting task. However, if you take the time to research the provider, read customer reviews, and ask the right questions, you can be sure that you are making an informed decision.
You can also utilize tools such as uptime monitoring services, speed tests, and backups to help you evaluate the reliability of a web hosting provider. Ultimately, it is important to remember that when it comes to finding a reliable web hosting provider, the most important factor is to ensure that your provider has a good reputation and can provide a reliable, secure, and fast service.

On a different but related note, imo the dating scene would be vastly improved if fewer straight dudes seemed incapable of conceptualizing a person whose presence in your life is so enjoyable that you might hesitate to kiss them despite thinking they're hot

100 Witchcraft Tips in 100 Days!
Day 1 - Choosing the right herbs for your magical practice
Tumblr media
As chosen by my followers here's 100 Witchcraft Tips in 100 Days; starting off with herbal witchcraft! Herbal witchcraft is a very simple, easy way to start your practice after mastering the basics. It can also be a fun, exciting, and budget friendly way to practice magic in a discreet manner for those who can't practice openly.
1. Start with Common Kitchen Herbs
When starting to work with various herbs it's best to start with those easily accessible and familiar to you. You can start with common kitchen herbs like rosemary, basil, mint, thyme, bay leaf, or any other kinds you have in your kitchen cabinet.
2. Choose Herbs That Resonate with Your Intentions
Herbs are a potent tool in spells and recipes. When choosing herbs, it's important to consider what you want to achieve and select herbs that align with those intentions. If your looking for protection rosemary and bay leaf are known for their protective and purifying qualities. For abundance cinnamon, basil, and clover are used to attract wealth and success.
3. Research Herb Safety and Usage
Before you go incorporating herbs into your practice, its very important to understand if they're safe and their proper uses. Some herbs can be toxic if ingested in large amounts or may cause allergic reactions. It's important to consult reliable sources or books on herbs to learn more about the herb before using it. If you're using herbs on your skin do a patch test to ensure you don't have an adverse reaction. Also make sure you're not using toxic herbs such as belladonna or foxglove.
4. Start Small and Experiment
It can be rather easy to get overwhelmed by the wide variety of herbs available to you. Make sure you start with a small collection that seems manageable and start to experiment with them. It's best to start with a few versatile herbs to see how they work. Then gradually expand your collection as you become more comfortable with using them. Make sure to keep a journal and document your experiments and how each herb affects your spells or rituals.
5. Grow Your Own Herbs
If you have the space, growing your own herbs can be a fantastic way to grow closer to your craft. Growing your own herbs makes sure you always have fresh, high quality herbs and also deepens your connect with the plants. If you're gardening indoors or don't have enough space outside use window boxes or small pots to grow your herbs. If you have the space outdoors start a garden filled with plants like rosemary, thyme, and mint that grow well outside. Don't forget to harvest your herbs regularly to encourage healthy growth and ensure a steady supply for your practice.

sorry i know i already reblogged the post yesterday to point out the error but every time i see that screenshot from counter craft that misrepresents the source of the quote about publishing and tiktok hashtags on my dash it has thousands more notes than before and it makes me feel insane. tumblr misinformation in action.
also i follow counter craft, which is how i heard about the romantasy plagiarism scandal at all, and once i'd read the actual new yorker piece about it i was kind of furious at lincoln michel (counter craft guy). he clearly didn't even read the article beyond MAYBE skimming a couple of sections of it, and he took an already overblown situation and used it as a soapbox to complain about people creating "slop" instead of "art". which, like:
was completely unrelated to the actual situation, really
was insulting to at least one of the authors involved, for whom the new yorker piece described the writing of her """slop""" novel as a deeply personal act she did for herself following the loss of a child and the premature birth of another
represents the same old pearlclutching about romance novels that's been happening since time immemorial
like, a big part of his argument hinges on the fact that the novel that contains alleged plagiarism was collaboratively written by four people to meet a tight deadline while creating a product with mass commercial appeal. lincoln michel insists that this must have created "slop" and argues that that SOMEHOW has something to do with AI. i think a co-written novel sounds pretty cool, actually, and it's a relatively common thing in the romance industry, especially in self-pub (which this was not, but it's the same market). co-written by four human beings also means it was very explicitly not AI.
also, like...he's raging against the idea of novels written specifically to have mass commercial appeal. why are we singling out romance as a genre for this? james patterson exists. there are also dozens of authors whose names are slapped on bad ghostwritten thrillers that sell like crazy and can be reliably found in airport bookstores. (my dad reads those kinds of books exclusively.)
art created for mass appeal has existed for at least as long as capitalism has existed. this is not a new phenomenon. this is not an AI problem. it is also not a tiktok problem.

Leaked titles of the first 4 episodes of Season 2, and a possible S2 release date
(Warning: spoilers, and discussion of previous leaks.)
Tumblr media
Source: fernsehserien.de. (This website has proven a reliable source for Earthspark leaks before, but because of translation errors sometimes has minor inaccuracies.)
Synopses for the episodes were not attached.
Episode 1: Aftermath The title likely has a double meaning: first, dealing with the aftermath of the final battle; and second, the introduction of the characters Aftermath and Spitfire.
Episode 2: In Ruins This could mean anything. Maybe the introduction of the Chaos Terrans led to the destruction of Witwicky and/or the Malto home?
Episode 3: The Butterfly Effect The butterfly effect can be associated with time travel and chaos theory (Chaos Terrans?). Time travel could be the result of an accident with a spacebridge, or could be an intentional attempt by the Maltos and Terrans to fix something that happened.
Episode 4: Control Alt Delete Could be a Hashtag-focused episode in which she gets her new altmode.
Tumblr media
The website also lists June 15-22 as the release dates for these episodes on Nickelodeon. This is not confirmed.

Warning! Potential Spoilers for Stranger Things Season 5!
r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers has a wiki in which is linked a tier-ranking of reliable Marvel spoiler sites, accounts, etc. Several of these accounts have chimed in on byler or stranger things at one point or another over the last few months - and the ranking of the accuracy of these accounts? Actually possibly good for byler…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ThwipT tweeted randomly last month that Will and Mike will not get into a romantic relationship- he used the #StrangerThings5 hashtag, which was trending on Twitter due to the leaked pictures of Nell and Jamie as Holly and Vecna. This subreddit bans anything from this account, as it is unreliable.
Tumblr media
Atlanta_filming on instagram put out the news that Mike and Will would be filming a sequence at the church. BigScreenLeaks tweeted last May that he had spoilers for Stranger Things 5, which he hasn’t disclosed. Daniel RPK’s speciality is casting news, and he confirmed the casting for a young Mike, Will, and Jonathan to his subscribers, and that the scene would be in episode 4 and would be filmed in early July.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MyTimeToShineHello is the account I have my eye on. It is ranked in tiers 3 and 2, and is deemed to have acceptable accuracy. This account broke the Will Love Interest story back in May - and while RejectedScooper denied that it was Mike publicly, this account is not even deemed reliable enough to be ranked here, and also claimed the Byers were all living at Hopper’s tiny little cabin so…
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MyTimeToShineHello apparently told a few people in DM’s back in May that they thought the love interest wasn’t Mike, but on the 4th July last week, they announced to their subscribers that the love interest might be Mike - UpsideDownScoop accessed this and tweeted the screenshot. Charging money for that would be a risky endeavour for the credibility they’ve accrued, if it wasn’t legitimate...

I personally really could not give less of a fuck about genderswapped ruikasa because first and foremost imo I think people just do it to get yuri warrior points instead of actually caring about female characters/wlw relationships. however I also dgaf because I think people do it in the most boring way possible without thinking about how tsukasa and rui’s personalities would impact how they present themselves as girls.
Tsukasa is so incredibly determined to be seen as a reliable mature older brother figure to the point where he dresses in an incredibly stuffy and boring way & has stripped his room of anything childish (& anything with personality). She would not dress super cute & girly. she would want to be taken seriously (& you should be able to be taken seriously wearing fashion like that but I’m not getting into that rn) & be viewed as anything but childish. She would not dress like Saki she would dress like she worked at a library or something. Her fashion would still be boring. Integral to the character.
I have less to say abt rui because I generally think less about what his fashion choices say about him (beyond hater of tight clothes #sensory issues king) but he is almost never in shorts and dresses in comfy loose fitting clothes he would also not be a hashtag girly girl wearing short skirts and bows either.
‘But I want to draw yuri and I want them in cute clothes’ draw emunene instead. Hope that helps.

Oh boy question Time! Okay
1. How did they get to ES?
Tumblr media
Chara is from a genocide timeline, where they actually moved on to another world. They find themselves in Earthspark as a consequence.
However, LOVE does not exist in Earthspark. As is described in the game, LOVE makes it easier to hurt others and not care about it. Chara was at max LOVE, so they were completely and utterly detached from the murders they help commit. That quickly changed.
2. Does Hashtag know them?
For the sake of not making ES META, no. However, enjoy this.
Tumblr media
Before I get into character stuff, I want everyone to know. Chara is NOT a reliable narrator. They project onto the ES gang, HARD. Especially the Decepticons, connecting them with Monsters when Decepticons DEFINITELY weren't innocent. Chara has the same problem as Flowey in that regard.
4. Are the close to any of the Terrans?
Tumblr media
They like Thrash though!
4. Why aren't they allowed near Megatron?
Tumblr media
It's. Bad for both their recoveries.
5. What do the Maltos think of them?
Robby and Mo are. Creeped out the most by them. This is a consequence of Chara hating humans- they're scared of them, so they overcompensate by trying to scare them back.
As for the Terrans, it's a mixture of "they're pretty weird, but so are we? " to "They also creep me out."
Dorothy and Alex are really the only ones advocating for them, in the early days. Chara is very very reserved- they mostly watch rather than join.
Please ask me more! I am autism.

Okay yeah… I binged the whole season in one day.
It was actually surprisingly easy to do so. And while that means my planned slower recaps and speculation are basically out the window, I also now just don’t have to worry about spoilers for weeks on end.
I’m still going to keep spoilers under a cut though. Even if you block key hashtags, stuff can get through, and just making the spoilers further down a text post you have to scroll past to continue browsing tumblr doesn’t help either. Hide that content behind a cut, please!
Non-spoiler thoughts:
It was so good. It was honestly more Trek than I could’ve possibly expected. And to all those early naysayers who were confused by the Protostar and where it was supposed to be in the timeline after the first episode of season 1, all of that gets answered and put into context by the end of season 2. Thank GOD! Every single plot point people brought up and thought was a “plot hole” gets filled and explained.
It’s not as emotional as the first season, but the situations and events definitely still have a lot of weight and the stakes are so high for so long too! There’s a surprising number of dark events that happen throughout the series. Way darker than even I’m used to watching the animated shows that I do. Kudos for not skimping on the peril and stakes of the mission for the sake of kids being traumatized lol
And while there is the potential for more, if we never get a season 3 this would still be an extremely satisfying ending all the same. I am very happy there aren’t any loose ends here.
Prodigy is without a doubt the most reliably consistent Star Trek show that’s ever existed. Not a single episode feels like filler. Not a single episode wastes time or characters. Even the goofy episodes have character development and callbacks later, and I genuinely don’t think there’s a single episode that I would skip or not watch again. That’s an amazing feat in and of itself, but as a Trek fan that’s just unheard of! Kudos all around!
Now for my longer spoiler thoughts under the cut:
Okay…
How the HELL did you guys make Wesley Crusher’s time traveling arc sooo good? As a TNG fan I was always annoyed with the “traveler” storylines and with Wesley’s character in general. Even as a kid I never really liked him. But this storyline makes him interesting and gives a lot of weight to his powers. He’s almost like The Doctor from Doctor Who, someone who has so much going on in his head that he’s sort of lost it.
That honestly was the biggest surprise to me. I was convinced that Hologram Janeway (and the construct) were somehow manipulating time and events because of the wormhole. Janeway would be trying to help them, while the construct was trying to stop them. That was my working theory for the start of the series. Imagine my surprise when it turns out it’s Wesley Crusher! wtf!?
I do like that he gets to reunite with his mom finally. And that he learns he has a brother.
Incidentally that’s something else I was not expecting. How MUCH of this series was going to be timeline connected to the events of Picard and Lower Decks respectively. Like, wow… they connected the Mars Shipyard explosion and the Romulan evacuation plot points that made sense for the story. Like holy crap, then FINALLY getting into Starfleet only for the shipyards to explode and Starfleet is severely crippled. I did not expect that to happen, and it’s sadly realistic too.
I still hate the Romulan evacuation storyline from Picard, but as a matter of keeping things consistent it makes sense for it here. And while I don’t like it being a canon event, it’s overall good for the consistency of “prime” trek.
I do like that Dal became a second in command. I’ve always felt like Dal was never really destined to be the captain and that he’s always been better at helping others be their best selves. So it makes sense for his character arc that he learns he doesn’t need to be in charge to make a difference and that there’s no shame in being second.
Overall I am still reeling from how much Trek happened in this season. There’s never a dull moment. Unfortunately I am not optimistic about a 3rd season. Netflix picking up a mostly completed series to broadcast on their streaming service is far FAR cheaper than paying for an entire season to be created outright. And sadly, as much as I want more Prodigy, I have a feeling it’s just not on people’s radars enough for it to do gangbuster numbers enough to convince Netflix to pick them up for a 3rd season. I hope I am proven wrong, but I will not get my desire for more season unrealistically hyped up.
I do want to rewatch the entire show now, because there were clues left in the first season that only get answered at the end of season 2. And I love closed loop time travel storylines like that! I can’t wait to go back and connect the dots knowing what I know now.
An excellent series. Probably one of Trek’s best in decades. A true love for the material and the characters and the legacy of Trek lore all rolled into an amazingly animated package.
