Currently I have so many bg3 saves bc I refuse to delete my old ones that will likely never be finished (first ever gameplays, not optimized, everytime I open one I get overwhelmed and stop), but also because I keep making new games with the specific purpose of romancing a certain companion, seeing special dialog, doing a specific style of run, or getting an achievement on steam.
#simon says#currently the 4 that I have right now are fun but I wanna do a new one bc I like making characters and being silly#so far I have:#sad bardlock that was originally going to be a no-romance 'everyone's worst ending' run but then I finally decided to romance shadowheart#since the two of them absolutely give off sad lesbian vibes and just seem to make eachother better#because a doom and gloom bardlock constantly saying 'that sounds lovely :)' to anything shar related quickly made Shadowheart happy#next up is big hulking non-lolthsworn drow who is a cleric of Mystra#because I want to see how a cleric of mystra works with Gale and so far it has SUCH fun interactions#... Jak'ith. my gith jack-of-all-trades romancing Lae'zel#i would be a liar if I didn't say doing a legit jack of all trades run as a gith romancing Lae'zel wasn't the most fun out of all my saves#the interactions are so fucking funny I love it#like I highly recommend a gith lae'zel romance because it's so much fun just bouncing back and forth in dialog#and I got REALLY into stealing after playing Jak'ith so I made a duegar thief who is gonna eventually be a druid#and im gonna make her an exclusively Halsin romance bc I saw some of the duegar dialog options with him and I thought it would be funny#since my last Wyll romance went south (i had hubris in honor mode and lost it all) and I have still yet to romance Karlach or Minthara#those 3 are on my list for characters to make and play bc I haven't explored those routes yet#i also want to try doing a true goody two shoes durge run and a true evil durge run#obviously the evil run will probably be the Minthara romance#also on this list I am ignoring Astarion bc I have romanced him twice now in my two old durge runs so unless I can think of something unique#then im not doing anything with him for a while#well except playing as him#i got an old playthrough with him I should continue bc I wanted to see what his origin stuff would be like in act 3#at some point I do want to origin run all the origin characters bc it sounds really cool#but I want to get a good idea of their character arcs before I do#also for the achievements:#Jak'ith is the jack of all trades no Withers help achievement#My bardlock is the busking 100 gold one#and I want to do a punch drunk build at some point#which would probably be a monk bc of the drunken master robes you can get#but yeah I will probably end up with like 8 or more saves in the end

John Williams - Star Wars - Main Title 1977
Star Wars (later retitled Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope) is a 1977 American epic space opera film written and directed by George Lucas. Set "a long time ago" in a fictional galaxy ruled by the tyrannical Galactic Empire, the story follows a group of freedom fighters known as the Rebel Alliance, who aim to destroy the Empire's newest weapon, the Death Star. When the Rebel leader Princess Leia is captured by the Empire, Luke Skywalker acquires stolen architectural plans of the Death Star and sets out to rescue her while learning the ways of a metaphysical power known as "the Force" from the Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
"Star Wars (Main Title)" is a musical theme composed and conducted by John Williams. The composition draws influence from Erich Wolfgang Korngold's score for the 1942 film Kings Row and Gustav Holst's Jupiter from his orchestral suite, The Planets. The 1977 London Symphony Orchestra recording peaked at number ten on Billboard Hot 100 and number thirteen in Canada RPM Top Singles. Meco's disco version of "Star Wars Theme/Cantina Band" from his album Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk was a global hit in the same year. The soundtrack album itself peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 in 1977, and became the best-selling symphonic album of all time; it was certified Gold and Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America, and won numerous accolades including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, and Grammy Awards in the categories of Best Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or a Television Special and Best Instrumental Composition (for the "Main Title"). In 2004, it was preserved by the Library of Congress into the National Recording Registry, calling it "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". In 2005, the American Film Institute named the original Star Wars soundtrack as the most memorable score of all time for an American film.
"Star Wars (Main Title)" received a total of 91,8% yes votes! Previous Star Wars-related polls: #209 "Seagulls! (Stop It Now)".

Trembling like a little wet idiot again because BECAUSE
Eve was tempted to take a bite from the apple. The Original Sin! It separated her and Adam from God. They were banished from Eden, they had to leave God's Safe Garden, and, for better or for worse, had to venture out into the broader outside world
Diavolo planted a fucking apple orchard for Lucifer while Lucifer was still an angel, just because Lucifer offhandedly mentioned liking apples. It was a gesture that was probably one of the stepping stones towards their budding friendship and towards Lucifer questioning the celestial realm and his father, towards Lucifer's growing anger. One of the many* contributing factors towards Lucifer starting a war against the Celestial Realm that would eventually get him and his brothers banished, that would force them to leave their Father's Safe Realm, and, for better or for worse, venture out into the broader outside world. That would cast them into officially becoming Sins.
And Nightbringer has so much apple symbolism relating to Lucifer, that it's on the fucking title screen itself** and up until the present moment Lucifer's favourite food is Poison Apples (it's not even on the nose anymore, it's just straight up a punch to the face)
Diavolo may not have meant for it to be as such, Diavolo 100% only did it because he was starry eyed over Lucifer from day 1, but at the end of the day a Temptation is a Temptation and he held out the Apple and Lucifer took a bite
*the main reason was obviously Lilith, which y'know you could kinda lowkey parallel with some of the stories about og! Lilith's part in the whole apple/eden thing
**and it's explicitly stated that the type of apples Diavolo grows are a deep, vibrant red as opposed to Celestial Realm apples which are all gold & shining:

Etowah Mounds
Etowah Mounds (also known as Etowah Indian Mounds) is a National Historic Landmark and archaeological site near Cartersville, Georgia, USA, enclosing the ruins of a prehistoric Native American city whose original name is unknown. The present designation of Etowah means "town" in the language of the Muscogee-Creek Native Americans.
The city was built in three phases between c. 1000 - c. 1550 and the present site encloses three large and three smaller mounds surrounding a central plaza. The three large mounds were the chief’s residence (Mound A), the ceremonial site for religious rituals (Mound B), and the burial site for the nobility (Mound C); the smaller mounds are each attached or nearby the larger. Between the three was a plaza, which served for ceremonies, commerce, and as a ball field.
The city was built and flourished during the period known as the Mississippian culture (c. 1100-1540 CE) when many of the best-known mound sites in North America – such as Cahokia and Moundville – were also constructed. The city seems to have developed from a small village community of the Woodland Period (c. 500 BCE - 1100 CE) whose inhabitants were related to those who built Etowah and the later Creek and Muskogee Native American tribes of the region who lived in and near the site.
The Cherokee Nation arrived in the region from the north in the 15th century CE and settled at Etowah, but they, like many others in the area, had their numbers depleted by European diseases they had no immunity to. The Creek and Cherokee remained on the land, however, until gold was discovered in the region and they were forcibly removed to Oklahoma by order of President Andrew Jackson (served 1829-1837) in the 1830s, a tragic loss of land and heritage to the First Nations through the forced migration that has come to be known as the Trail of Tears.
The mounds were first noted by Americans in 1817 and test-sited in 1883 but no major excavations were begun until 1925 when the famous (or infamous) archaeologist Warren K. Moorehead (l. 1866-1939) arrived at the site. Moorehead’s work on Mound C – the most completely excavated area of the site to date – unearthed a number of significant artifacts which enabled the dating of the site to the Mississippian culture period. Excavations since Moorehead’s have been sporadic, but it is believed, based on what has been found and the general preservation of the site, that Etowah is the most intact of the Mississippian culture mound sites of the southeast built by the ancestors of the Muscogee-Creek Nation.
The Mound Builders & Mississippian Culture
The Mississippian culture is often cited as though it were the beginning of monumental mound-building, but mounds were built thousands of years before in North America. Watson Brake Mounds dates to c. 3500 BCE and Poverty Point to c. 1700-1100 BCE, with the Mississippian culture’s mounds following. The Mississippian culture has become the best known and most closely associated with mound-building, however, owing to the proliferation of mounds prior to that period and the skill of the people of the Adena culture (c. 800 BCE - 1 CE) and the Hopewell culture (c. 100 BCE-500 CE) who perfected mound-building and provided the model for later works such as the famous Mississippian Cahokia Mounds and Moundville.
Many mounds were constructed during the Archaic Period (c. 8000-1000 BCE) and the Woodland Period (c. 500 BCE - 1100 CE), but these differed from the later Mississippian culture sites, such as Etowah, in that those of the Adena were conical while those of the Hopewell were either effigy or flat-topped mounds. The Mississippian culture borrowed from both traditions in the creation of their mounds which were influenced, at least in part, by the religious beliefs spread throughout the region by the Hopewell culture.

I've never made any connections between Worm and the Captain America mythos before. Spill some ink?
Okay, so from a purely aesthetic perspective, the gimme is Miss Militia. She's the most obvious "Captain Patriotic" in the roster, she has the power of GUN, she's the only one who actively buys into the mythology of America specifically. She's a Kurdish woman occupying an aesthetic niche generally held by a rugged squinty white guy. She's an output of the melting pot narrative. She's sort of a rendering of what a grounded superhero who somehow became very aesthetically into America might look like. Not in the craven marketing-driven way of Homelander or Comedian, not in the jingoistic maniac way of USAgent or Peacemaker. She buys it in the broadly left-liberal (USamerican connotation of that term) safe, friendly, reclamative way. Why, what a great rehabilitation of the archetype!
She's also deeply, deeply afraid of rocking the boat. She's got a deepseated childhood trauma related to the bad things that happen when she puts herself in a leadership role. She goes along to get along. When she's proactive, it's usually to point a gun at Tattletale to stop her from upsetting the status quo. She sits through a lot of situations where Steve Rogers, as commonly modeled, would probably plant himself like a tree by the river of truth and go, "Hey, this is fucked up." She more or less capitulates to Undersider domination of the city, in a way that predisposes us to think of her as a voice of reason after all these total nuts that Skitter's been up against- but would Taylor "to relinquish control is a form of ego death" Hebert really be willing to leave someone in charge of the local Protectorate branch who she thought couldn't be corralled? She looks like a beacon, but doesn't- indeed, probably can't- ever truly behave like one. I mean, you can debate the on-the-spot morality of any given one of her judgement calls, that's actually one of the less exhausting Worm Morality Debates to have- but in aggregate, a person in American flag garb who actually meaningfully criticizes the paramilitary organization they're part of is not gonna survive long in that role!
So again, she's the gimme from an aesthetic standpoint. But what I don't really see a lot of discussion of is how Cauldron plays into the riff.
Captain America is institutional, but in a comically morally uncomplicated way. The serum was originally mana from heaven, granted to a living saint, conveniently divorced from any nitty-gritty sausage-making process and even-more conveniently divorced from the horrible consequences of giving the, uh, the U.S government a replicable super soldier process. And in fairness to Captain America, this is 100 percent something the overall mythos eventually patched to my satisfaction; the sausage-making process eventually revealed as prototypical government fuckery driven by human experimentation on black servicemen, the overall Marvel Setting littered with failed attempts by the U.S. Government to recreate that golden goose so they can have their fun new jackboots. (In Ultimate Marvel, this is how almost all contemporary superhumans were created, and this is a state of affairs with a body count in the millions or billions.)
Cauldron draws you in with the same noble rhetoric about greater goods, the same one-off proprietary irreplicable formula- but you don't get the luxury afterwards of representing nothing but the dream. You aren't partnering up with a plucky crank scientist with a heart of gold. You're selling your soul to an organization with an agenda. The narrative makes no bones about the fact that everything you do is fundamentally tainted by the fact you opted into an end product created through torture, kidnapping and human experimentation. You don't get to pull a Kamen Rider by going rogue or opting out or making good use of the fruit of the poisoned tree; you are owned, and everything you do has this Damocles sword hanging over your head- when are the people who bankrolled this going to come to collect?
So that's the question of "who would willingly dress like that" covered, and the question of who creates a serum like that. What about the question of who takes a serum like that? I'd argue that Eidolon is the examination of that. Pre-Cauldron David reads to me like pre-serum Steve Rogers viewed through a significantly bleaker lens. They're both sickly kids desperate to serve, rocketed to the pinnacle of human capability by an experimental procedure. But for Steve Rogers, the crisis was that he had a specific vision of the world and was frustrated by his inability to carry it out. Before the serum he picked fights over what was right and wrong and got his ass handed to him; afterwards he picked those same fights and just started winning instead. The serum neatly solved a problem he had, and to the extent that his mindset is influenced by his pre-serum experiences, it's generally constructive; a desire to protect the weak, help the helpless, an appreciation for people who stand up for what's right even when they're clearly gonna get pancaked for their trouble. So ultimately there's no dark side, downside, or underlying neurosis ascribed to his initial impulse to take that serum.
But with David, it's not a tragic case of the spirit being willing but the flesh being weak. He isn't a preternaturally-noble soul, out to represent the best elements of the American ideal- he kind of represents the inverse, a guy who's been failed at every level while utterly convinced that he's the problem. He's actively suicidal because he's a wheelchair-bound epileptic in an economically-depressed socially-backwards rural town in the 1980s, and he's spent his 18 years of life internalizing the idea that he's worse than useless unless he can somehow find a way provide value to something larger than himself. Doctor Mother finds him in the aftermath of a suicide attempt spurred by his rejection from the army- and he didn't even want to join the army specifically, necessarily, he just needed his situation to be literally anything else, and he took what he thought he could get. And then he finds himself in a position to become a superhero, so he does that, molds himself into that, subordinates himself to that, builds his entire sense of self and values around the value he can provide in that role. No grand design or sacred principles carried over through the metamorphosis. Just relief at finally, finally having something that looks like an answer to the question of what he's supposed to do.
And you know, you know that if Steve Rogers was facing down the barrel of being depowered, he'd smile and nod, he'd Cincinnatus that shit. It's happened before. But for David, the emotional trauma and self-worth issues that caused him to roll the dice on a Steve-Rogers treatment never really went away. When would it? He's been Providing Value as a ten-ton Hammer Against Evil for thirty years. No family, no social life. Certainly, no incentive on his handler's part to lance his Atlas complex. So he barrels towards atrocity in the name of remaining useful. Admittedly, this is where the comparison breaks down in a significant way; Captain America is much more of a symbol than he is an irreplicable powerhouse, so it's not catastrophic if he's taken off the board. Eidolon is so unbelievably powerful that his myopia and self-centeredness actually do align with a real problem everyone else is gonna have if he loses his powers. But in terms of the starting points- I think that Steve Rogers embodies the myth about why you'd want to join the army that badly. Eidolon is, I think, much more closely modelling why you'd actually want to join the army that badly.

Morningstar family redesigns
I kinda wanted to expand on my choices for my redesigns for fun
Tumblr media
So first, Lucifer. I really don’t have a lot of issues with his original design, I think it’s fun and fits within the Hazbin universe! I just wanted to reimagine him.
I always liked the idea of Lucifer having curly reddish hair, something about his fall turning his hair red (this design isn’t 100% biblically accurate as it is just for fun), but I toned down the red to be closer to his original blonde since I also like blonde Lucifer, and I figured he’d liked to keep his hair neat so I decided to put it up and take away the hat
I wanted to keep the ring leader theme in his outfit, but I wanted to further incorporate the snake element in his design since I think he’d be proud of his fall (hence why his suit looks burnt and torn, and he shows off his burnt arm, I figured he’d do this intentionally to remind others of his rebellion)
Lastly I changed the entire family’s main colors to purple, as biblically out of the 7 sins Pride is purple and since he’s supposed to rule pride in the show I figured he’d be more purple themed then red, pretty simple🙏
Tumblr media
Next Lilith, I think she was the only one out of the three where I didn’t really like her original design. Not only because she didn’t have much going on, but she also looked really similar to Lucifer, to the point where they almost look blood related.
I think Viv’s choices for Lilith were a bit odd, as she had SOO much potential that just wasn’t used.
I kept her blonde hair but I gave it some tan undertones and I put it up into a semi-low slicked back pompadour inspired by some hairstyles you might see young women have in the early 1900s or late 1800s, but I gave her a little down section that fades into a dark purple and looks somewhat feathery due to one adaption of her describing her as a “screech owl”. I kept the purple theme somewhat like the original and plus she technically rules over pride as well, I would have loved to have given her a red theme if pride was red.
Tumblr media
Based on these different adaptations of Lilith a took inspiration from each, giving her a flame-themed dress and the upper body of a beautiful women yet still somewhat demon-like, I also put some fluff at the bottom of her dress since I thought it looked kinda like smoke puffs and clouds. Her stomach is covered with gold rings that look somewhat like a snake belly, and I gave her a necklace with a style inspired by some eastern jewelry, the jewels on her necklace are each the color of one of the 7 sins which I thought would be a fun touch and a little bit of a “showing off” of her role as the queen of hell.
lastly I kept her horns since she is meant to be a succubus, but I stylized them a bit to look less like those big ram-like ones since I didn’t really like how odd they looked against her head. I also gave her long slender fingers that faded to a black naturally as in biblical lore she steals babies from mothers and I thought making her hands that she stole the children with look creepy and eerie yet still beautiful was a nice touch.
Tumblr media
Lastly, Charlie! Again, I didn’t really have a problem with the original design. I changed her suit color and theme to prides color, put I made her hair curlier and more red/orange like her dads, and I wanted some parts of her suit to resemble his a bit hence the buttons and the back of her suit going out like her dad’s (but a bit shorter for convenience.)
I imagine her being a bit showy so I kinda decked her out in silver, I thought it’d also be a fun mirroring of how her mom is covered in gold. Her shoes are pretty similar to the original, I put a little split at the front of the shoes in the dark purple since Viv has said she has little hooves which I’m not sure is true but I thought it was a fun idea so I kinda hinted at it with that
I changed her irises (is that what they’re called?) to look more snake-like like her dad, and I gave her little horns since I thought they were cute and I wanted her to maybe show them on purpose because she wanted to blend in more with the citizens of hell so they might feel less intimidated by her presence as the princess, that’s also why I didn’t give her a crown :]
Tumblr media
Overall this was just a fun little project I did out of curiosity and boredom, these designs aren’t made to criticize or taunt vivziepop since like I said I love her designs already

Answering this ask for @kwillow since the name wasn't her doing!
"Amaranthine" was the name my sister @lsdoiphin and I used for our character world full of ascended Neopets OCs when we were kids/teens. At the time, we played a lot of virtual pet sites like Neopets and Subeta, and on Subeta in particular there was a lot of thesaurus humping involved to find cool obscure words to name your pets/characters (real word names = more prestigious). So we always had lists of cool obscure words saved for potential character names.
"Amaranthine" was chosen as a setting name back then because the original premise was that the world was a flat plane that extended infinitely in every direction (pretty much exactly like a Minecraft world, though Minecraft didn't exist yet at the time). The premise was also that the world had infinite possibilities, too, that it was a setting that all of our individual stories could coexist on at once and everything could all be canon somewhere on this infinitely large plane. So "Amaranthine" would have been the story with Alex and Hyden, but also 100 other unrelated or barely related half baked stories that took place in the same hub world.
That original concept eventually got abandoned 15+ years ago when LS and I realized that smaller, tighter scopes were better for telling stories than zany crossover universes. So we went our separate ways in terms of story settings (though we still can't resist crossing over our current projects a little by cameoing each other's characters here and there... you might notice some familiar surnames on the map in the Forever Gold demo, or see a few of her characters in Wishbone...)
ANYWAY. It's a happy coincidence that the more common definition of the word, undying/everlasting, fits quite well with the fact that each of the major characters in current-Amaranthine has a weird relationship with death. Hyden is mortal but cheated death and is alive and well-ish far, far past what should have been the end of his lifespan, Ambroys is potentially immortal, Theo seeks to reverse death, and Alex almost seems to seek it (but hasn't found it yet), with a running theme of actions having unforeseen consequences far down the line.
The current Amaranthine I'm doing with Kwillow still takes place on a pancake world and it's potentially still an infinite-ish plane, buuuut I think this post is long enough without also getting into fantasy world topography!

okay call me crazy and I know the newest chapter of Wind Breaker just released like over an hour ago, but hear me out: I think I know the deity Nii Satoru used to represent Takiishi.
Part 2: Umemiya Hajime and Fudō Myō-ō
So let's talk about it. Spoilers for Chapter 150!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I believe Takiishi is being represented by a Karura (迦楼羅, かるら). Here's my evidence to this theory:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Karura (Left) & Karura (Right) were sourced from the same page on Japanese Buddhist Statuary: A to Z Photo Dictionary]
According to my research, karura are said to be a race of mythical fire-breathing bird-men (demigods) originating from Hindu mythology and was later adopted by the Buddhist into their pantheon as a protector deity or in accord. to legends were converted into Buddhism by Buddha and are considered one of the Eight Legions.
While going through my research, I found some interesting connections that may or may not apply to what we know of Takiishi and the imagery of the deity depicted:
Bird-like figure = appearance wise, the deity's depiction looks very similar to that of the karura.
"In Japan, Garuda is an enormous fire-breathing eagle-man with golden feathers and magic gems crowning its head."
- Schumacher, M., Karura
"They are humanoid in appearance, with the heads and wings of eagles. They have red skin, and red and gold feathers. Karura are fearsome. They breath fire from their beaks. The flapping of their wings sounds like thunder, and creates gusts of wind so strong they can dry up lakes, knock down houses, and cover entire cities in darkness. Their gigantic wingspans are 330 yojanas wide, and they can leap 3,360,000 li in a single bound. (The lengths of one yojana and one li vary greatly from country to country and era to era—a yojana can measure anywhere between 1.6 km to over 13 km long, and one li can measure anywhere between 400 m and 3.9 km.)"
- Yokai.com, Karura
Fire symbolism = Karura are said to be fire-breathing creatures. In Takiishi's lastname (焚石), it consists of the characters that roughly translates to "burning stone" (焚, taki = to burn; 石, ishi = stone). Also, his hair. (Note: Need I say more?)
The original Hindu deity's name is Garuda (sanskrit: The Devourer). The name comes from the fact that karura are known for feeding on dragons, more specifically naga or malicious serpents who have not been converted by Buddha, due to a fued between Garuda's mother (Skt. Vinata) and her sister, mother to the naga. Relating this to Takiishi's bloodlust and extremely violent tendencies during fights, perhaps Umemiya is the dragon he wants to "devour", 🤔. (Note: @yellow-gardenia-48 made a really interesting point in the replies about Endo's signature animal being a snake.)
Conclusion: While I'm not 100% certain that this deity is the exact one the mangaka used for the panel, I'm 95% sure that it is. If anyone would like to add anything more in terms of connections between Takiishi and Karura, feel free to do so! Or disagree with me, that's also cool too. I definitely would like to see more discussions on the symbolisms and cultural references Nii Satoru uses in the series so if I can be a jumping point to that, I'd be happy to do so.
(P.S. I am not Japanese but I have been deeply interested in the culture and history. I do my best to use credible sources (both in English and Japanese) and credit them accordingly. However, I am prone to slip ups so if there is anything that requires correction in my post, you may notify me directly through the post via reply/reblog.)
(P.S.S. I have a blog specifically made for wbk content for further post like this so feel free to visit me there @transient-winds )

Mammon head cannons part 1
NOTE: THESE ARE MY HEAD CANNONS DONT TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY!
This man probably only showers when he's going on a date with MC or for his photoshoots. If MC gets liquid gold body wash or shampoo he will 100% use it and wash himself every day. (Mc definitely fakes it and uses honey and takes off the original label)
If MC is goth and wears chokers he would unironically call them dog collars and complement them and joke that MC is his pet. (Even when it's the other way around)
Spoils MC rotten even when MC begs him not to spend any money on them and will get giddy when MC gives him something as a gift. Even if it's a rock off the street he will treasure it like it's made out of gold.
Will cling to MC even when they aren't having a great day and will even be quiet and plant kisses on their forehead while gently rubbing their back and play MC's favorite ASMR. (Whether it be rain, gentle wind, or even cooking)
He would 100% make nicknames for MC that relate to them being his like the most common one in fanfiction, Treasure. He would absolutely call you treasure and treat you like his treasure. Because you are.
When you call him annoying (derogatory) he will pout and sit on the floor crossing his legs and whine till you say sorry or that you didn't mean it or (positive) he will joke that you are just as annoying as him maybe even more annoying.
With girl MC he will 100% call you his princess and treat you like a princess by spoiling you, but if you are a boy MC he will call you his man and absolutely take you to sport events and take you to the casino with him. Now Nonbinary MC? All of the above. He will call you his majesty, spoil you rotten, take you to sports events, and the casino and ask you to distract the other contestants.
Probably gets super excited when MC asks to touch his wings and horns and pretends to be offended/ not willing but in fact he has been waiting for you to ask and even flaps them around you to grab your attention.
This man unironically will call you his good luck charm and will be ecstatic when you give him matching bracelets/necklaces. He will treasure that with his life and never takes it off, even in the shower.
100% gets super jealous when you tell him about hanging out with another demon and will ask if he can join you. If you say no he will be grumpy for the rest of the day till you get home and cling to you until tomorrow but if you say yes he will 100% make all the flirty jokes that any demon makes completely ignored and flirt with you himself.

Ghostface ranking please n thank you
OH MY GOD YES YES YES I LOVE RANKING ALL THE GHOSTIES
My ranking of all 15 Ghostfaces so far (yes.... I'm including Jason and Greg because if I don't, SOMEBODY'S gonna bitch about it I know--)
SPOILERS AHEAD FOR ALL 6 SCREAM FILMS
Rankings under the cut
Stu Macher (Scream)
The BEST Ghostface to ever Ghostface. A BIT underrated just because people will sometimes give Billy more credit. But like- hot man. Has no actual motive for killing, Billy was like "Hey, dude, let's kill people" and he literally needed nothing more. Thought up of some of the key parts of their plan, definitely gutted Casey and Steve, probably put Kenny on the van by himself (Billy wasn't around, so-) . Definitely top 3 or 4 strongest Ghosties to date. And the humor-- okay, I could go ON AND ON about Stu, but I'll stop here. Matthew Lillard really took the character from boring in the script to one of the only parts of the original film me and my mother (who's TERRIFIED of horror films and would rather forget them) remembered from our first watch when I was 13. (She said she'll never forget his laugh and that she hates him. ... She then got me a t-shirt of him not 3 weeks later for Christmas. Sorry, Mom-) Great job, man! Stu stole my heart, LOTS of my money, and a large part of my brain, so it's safe to say he'll always be my fave and an icon in my eyes. (Literally wearing my Stu shirt as I type this, what a fun coincidence LOL-)
2. Charlie Walker (Scream 4)
I said what I said. People either adore Charlie or despise him, and I love him DEARLY. Yes, he's very attractive, but on top of that, he racks up one of the highest kill counts by a single Ghostface alone in the entire franchise, beaten only by Roman, I believe. From Olivia Morris, which was obviously his kill, to tossing Rebecca Walters off a building, to Jenny and Marnie... definitely Robbie... Kirby... Kate Roberts... man just went crazy with the kills, and I respect it. He had loyalty, some great lines, a HILARIOUS deleted scene ( ), and he kept cool under pressure, never revealing himself until absolutely necessary. Do I relate to him? Yep. Is that bad? Probably, but I love him anyways.
3. Jill Roberts (Scream 4)
Another maybe controversial ranking, but I love Jill! I think her motive is fantastic, the way that she uses Charlie to get what she wants, and as someone who has acted innocent in situations where I'm definitely not, her acting is spot on. I never thought about it being her until her reveal, and it's still one of my favorites of all time. She is also, I believe, the Ghostface who got closest to the goal of killing Sidney and getting away with it, so congrats, girl! You had the whole world fooled till the hospital! She's a great take on what I think is the modern version of Billy Loomis, and she nailed the innocent act, truly. Did she kill anyone? Probably, but I can't think of anyone who I know is 100% a Jill Kill. Either way, good for her for not getting her hands dirty, or FOR getting her hands dirty! Impressive no matter what in my mind.
4. Billy Loomis (Scream)
Dont worry, Billy fans, he's still in my top 5! The only reason he's not my third is because I think he's just a BIT overrated. If the movies weren't constantly making him seem like he was the only killer and completely alienating Stu (I think there's a reason for that, but I won't explain that here), then I'd put him above Jill. I know that's a weird reason, but it's my reason. Billy is a fantastic manipulator who knew how to get exactly what he wanted from Sid, and also was a repressed drama queen, which I relate to a lot. While Stu was openly crazy, Billy hid behind the stone cold semi-facade. I don't think Billy would ever have gotten as crazy as Stu did, but he definitely showed the drama in several ways that make me smile and laugh every time. Falling down a flight of stairs? Fucking up Stu's couch cushions? Comedy gold every time. I give Billy credit for stabbing Casey, killing Himbry, and killing Tatum. I think the rest were Stu's because of the gutting and where Billy was at the time. I also think he killed Maureen, so a nice 4ish kills for him! Anyways, top tier Ghostie, another one I'll always respect respect and love.
5. Amber Freeman (Scream 5)
I'm gonna be honest, I hated her when I first watched Scream 5. Hated Richie too, but he's still terrible. Fuck him. I thought Amber was a trashy, third rate version of Stu that was extremely fake and her turn from cold to goofy seemed extremely forced. Then I took a deep dive and figured out why. (If you want a full explanation, let me know, I'm trying to stay short here.) So I believe that Richie is this movie's Stu and Amber is the movie's Billy. From her plans, her using the house, just her very cold, calm demeanor in the beginning, she just gives Billie energy, while Richie is just... well, he's the Netflix guy. He makes jokes left and right. But Amber, I think she was trying to be the Stu while Richie was trying to be the Billy. Everyone forgets that Stu was a boyfriend too, (Billy's) Tatum's boyfriend. Amber was supposed to be Tara's girlfriend in the original script. So now, I see her third act as more of her desperate attempt to look like her idol instead of sticking with the persona that served her well for the rest of the film. That really made me appreciate her more, and made her feel even underutilized, as did the Macher house. (I LOVE THAT HOUSE. I LOVE IT. Well, the actual actual house, not the Scream 5 version.) So yeah. Amber was a cold blooded killer trying to be just like the Macher before her, even if that wasn't the part she was meant to play in her movie. Taking credit for Dewey's kill? Absolutely. She was in the cult and she just wanted to piss Gale off by saying she did it. Fantastic lines, wonderful creep factor! Her death- *chef's kiss* Lovely homage to Sidney shooting Billy. And that's my top 5!
6. Quinn Bailey (Scream 6)
The only member of that damn family who did a good job killing. Richie included. Funny? Check. Didn't see her coming? Check. Ruthless? Double check. I don't think she did Gale's attack either, I think that just like Amber, she took the blame for someone else's work just to keep them hidden. Besides that, she was a good character, someone you thought was long gone until she wasn't. Bonus points for her saying Stu was her fave and definitely being the one to stab Mindy on the subway. Maybe not the greatest Ghostie ever, certainly low on kills, but I enjoy watching her a lot.
7. Nancy Loomis, aka "Debbie Salt" (Scream 2)
Another hidden killer who deserved more screen time after her reveal, and more backstory. I love her motive of "good, old-fashioned revenge", and I can see her killing Randy out of rage. Killing Mickey? Nice way to keep things in her favor! Debbie Salt was eh. Don't remember her much tbh- I would've liked to see Nancy more as herself, she just had great potential. Did she take some kills? Absolutely. Got her hands dirty to honor her son. But that's what I don't like. She leaves Hank, then suddenly after Billy dies, she's like the best mother ever?? Killing for the son SHE left?? Her leaving is the reason Scream happened, paired with Maureen and Hank's infidelity-- that's why she's a solid 7 in my book, and the best of the worst. Only goes downhill from here, folks.
8. Mickey Altieri (Scream 2)
GREAT in the Act 3. Other than that? Um... he was okay, I guess? He had some funny lines, but where I really like him is in the possibility possibility of what he's done. He definitely killed for Nancy, he was insane and just wanted people to see him that way. He DID talk to Matthew Lillard in the background of the sorority party... Mickey and Stu working together?? His Act 3 was good, he showed he could be a good Ghostface, scared Sidney, killed Derek... but that's where this ranking and my positive comments about him stop.
9. Wayne Bailey (Scream 6)
Classic parent who wants revenge, angry, pulls it off decently. He has some good moments, funny, a definite suspect, and nowhere near as good a cop as Dewey. Points for trapping the Core 4 (minus Mindy) and Kirby in the second coolest location in the franchise, but that's where my positivity stops. Sam killed him easy, he was a shit parent until Richie died I bet. Did he get his kids to murder? Oh yeah, I think he's the one who made this whole plan up with Quinn and Ethan's help. He doesn't really stand out. Did he kill?? Even wear the fucking mask?? I honestly don't think so. I would put him lower, but compared to the next three... yeah, he's fine at 9.
10. Richie Kirsch (Scream 5)
WHYYYY. WHY. The only goof thing I can say is that like 5 of his lines made me laugh, and he also hates Stab 8. Me too, dude, that looks BAD. Motive? Pretty good, solid movie motive, getting with Sam to get the job done. Ruthless? Yeah. But he's sloppy. He's a Stu without the magic, just trying to make a movie. Him dating Amber?? *vomits* KILL ME NOW. He was 100% manipulated by her, I know he was. A sad attempt of Billy Loomis that leaned more towards Stu, and his cheesy shit throughout the film made his "true colors" seem kinda dull and not very scary. I don't like him. I don't.
11. Ethan Landry [Bailey] (Scream 6)
Like father, like sons!- all in my least favorite 5 of legitimate Ghostfaces. How much screen time did he have?? Not enough. Innocent guy, "I was in Econ!" to "HAHAHA I'M INSANE NOW!!"? I hate it. His transition was too forced, he was bland and stupid, his attempts at faking his knowledge about everything were embarrassing and made him look worse as a character. The easiest Ghostface to spot. I don't know, I mean I get people like him because he's insane and attractive, but I don't. Sorry to all of you who love this guy and his family. His best scene? When Tara stabbed him in the mouth. You go, queen!!
13. Roman Bridger (Scream 3)
Fuck. FUCK. I hate him, I hate this movie, I hate it all. His motive is pretty solid, I actually like it a lot... but he was stuck up, whiney, and underutilized. Like Ethan, low screen time, unbelievable shift from loser to villain- did he even share a scene with Sid?? Talk to her?? And this makes Billy and Stu look like lackeys. I HATE IT. I would've much rather had the Stu leading a Ghostface cult film, but I know why they went this route instead, and I respect that. Like Ethan, the best part about him, and of this movie, is his death. Dewey missing his head like 5ish times before finally hearing Sid and going for the head Thor in Endgame style?? Comedy. GOLD. I love Dewey Riley. But yeah, I just don't like Roman at all. His strengths are his motive, his INSANE kill count (I think he had an accomplice.), and his physical strength. Besides those? Useless. Sorry, Roman die-hards.
14. Jason Carvey (Scream 6)
Not bad for a Ghostface killed in the first 15 minutes. He had the makings of a good killer, definitely in the cult, but his time was just extremely short. Nothing much to say about him, but his only kill was a fantastic start to the film. I would put him higher, because I think he WAS a good Ghostface, but... 10 minutes or less of screen time? Sorry dude, don't know you well enough.
15. Greg (Scream 6)
Who?? Saw him a fridge. That's it. What's his last name, I don't remember- No screen time, not even alive on screen. Nothing more to say. He was probably pretty good though, if he was anything like Jason.
And there's my ranking of all 15 Ghostfaces!! If you want to add your own, feel free to below! If you wanna comment on mine, please be respectful, but I'd like to know why you don't like characters I do, or like ones I don't. If your faves are my faves, share!! I love finding new Scream buddies!! And thanks for listening if you made it this far, that was LONG.

We are now faced with a massive propaganda alleging Hindu persecution of Buddhism. Let us study one example: the story of alleged Hindu persecution of Buddhism by Pushyamitra, a general in the service of the declining Maurya dynasty, who founded the Sunga dynasty after a coup détat. This story provides the standard secularist refutation of the myth that Hinduism has always been tolerant.
The Marxist historian Gargi Chakravartty writes:
"Another myth has been meticulously promoted with regard to the tolerance of the Hindu rulers. Let us go back to the end of second century B.C. Divyavadana, in a text of about the second-third century A.D., depicts Pushyamitra Shunga as a great persecutor of Buddhists. In a crusading march with a huge army he destroyed stupas, burnt monasteries and killed monks. This stretched up to Shakala, i.e. modern Sialkot, where he announced a reward of 100 gold coins to the person who would bring the head of a Buddhist monk. Even if this is an exaggeration, the acute hostility and tensions between Pushyamitra and the monks cannot be denied."
We need not comment on Chakravartty's misreading of Divyavadana as a person's name rather than a book title. Remark the bias in the assumption that the supposedly undeniable conflict between the king and the monks proves the kings intolerance; for what had been their own contribution to the conflict? There is no good reason why the Buddhist monks should, by contrast, be assumed to be blameless when they came in conflict with a king.
The story is in fact given in two near contemporaneous (2nd century A.D.) Buddhist histories, the Asokavadana and the Divyavadana, the two narratives are almost verbatim the same and very obviously have a common origin. This non-contemporary story (which surfaces more than three centuries after the alleged facts) about Pushyamitra's offering money for the heads of Buddhist monks is rendered improbable by external evidence: the well-attested historical fact that he allowed and patronized the construction of monasteries and Buddhist universities in his domains, as well as the still extant stupa of Sanchi. After Ashoka's lavish sponsorship of Buddhism, it is perfectly possible that Buddhist institutions fell on slightly harder times under the Sungas, but persecution is quite another matter. The famous historian of Buddhism Etienne Lamotte has observed: To judge from the documents, Pushyamitra must be acquitted through lack of proof.
In consulting the source texts a significant literary fact is noticed which has not been seen mentioned in the scholarly literature (e.g. Lamotte, just quoted), and which must put on record. First of all, a look at the critical edition of the Asokavadana (Illustrious Acts of Ashoka) tells a story of its own concerning the idealization of Buddhism in modern India.
This is how Sujit Kumar Mukhopadhyaya, the editor of the Asokavadana, relates this work's testimony about Ashoka doing to a rival sect that very thing of which Pushyamitra is accused later on:
"At that time, an incident occurred which greatly enraged the king. A follower of the Nirgrantha (Mahavira) painted a picture, showing Buddha prostrating himself at the feet of the Nirgrantha. Ashoka ordered all the Ajivikas of Pundravardhana (North Bengal) to be killed. In one day, eighteen thousand Ajivikas lost their lives. A similar kind of incident took place in the town of Pataliputra. A man who painted such a picture was burnt alive with his family. It was announced that whoever would bring to the king the head of a Nirgrantha would be rewarded with a dinara (a gold coin). As a result of this, thousands of Nirgranthas lost their lives. Only when Vitashoka, Ashoka's favourite Arhat (an enlightened monk, a Theravada-Buddhist saint), was mistaken for a Nirgrantha and killed by a man desirous of the reward, did Ashoka revoke the order."
Typically, Mukhopadhyaya refuses to believe his eyes at this demythologization of the secular emperor Ashoka:
"This is one of the best chapters of the text. The subject, the style, the composition, everything here is remarkable. In every shloka there is a poetic touch.( ... ) But the great defect is also to be noticed. Here too Ashoka is described as dreadfully cruel. If the central figure of this story were not a historic personage as great and well-known as Ashoka, we would have nothing to say. To say that Ashoka, whose devotion to all religious sects is unique in the history of humanity (as is well-known through his edicts) persecuted the Jains or the Ajivikas is simply absurd. And why speak of Ashoka alone? There was no Buddhist king anywhere in India who persecuted the Jains or the Ajivikas or any other sect."
Contrary to Mukhopadhyayas confident assertion, there are a few attested cases of Buddhist-Jain conflict. The Mahavamsa says that the Buddhist king Vattagamini in Sri Lanka destroyed a Jain vihara. In the Shravana-Belgola epitaph of Mallishena, the Jain teacher Akalanka says that after a successful debate with Buddhists, he broke a Buddha statue with his own foot. The same (rare, but not non-existent) phenomenon of Buddhist fanaticism can be found outside India: the introduction of Buddhism in Tibet and Mongolia is associated with a forceful suppression of the native Shamanism. In recent decades in Sri Lanka, Buddhist monks have been instrumental in desecrating and demolishing Hindu temples. None of this proves that Buddhist doctrine incites its followers to persecution of non-Buddhists, but neither should anything human be considered alien to Buddhist human beings.

EXPLAIN YOUR CULT IDEAS AS MUCH AS YOU'D LIKE MY DEAR FRIEND
-📺 (ceaarl/gang-with-hatz)
Tumblr media
YAYYYY THANK YOU SO MUCH @gang-with-hatz
(under cut bc. This got really long)
Okay so I already made a post about my ex-cultist Mr. Wonder theory so I won't go into that here, HOWEVER-
Tumblr media
I'm going to ramble about this specifically because guys. Guys you're missing the prime angst with John's wife guys-
First I'm gonna get Actor out of the way tho
This one is mostly on vibes + clothes, plus him being the only character in SM 1 to not have any sort of major significance as of yet. Also him being a movie star goes with a lot of the cult having jobs/occupations related to things kids like, if Actor's in the cult his movies are prolly meant to target the older teens/adults instead
Also his eyes do the funny when he gets spooked by Ooga Booga in the first episode
Tumblr media
Like genuinely Why Is He Built Like That
OKAY NOW ONTO JOHN'S WIFE
John and Lila have a lot of parallels: traumatized widows with a single child. Hope is dead, and John blames himself. Skid has frequently brushed with death in part due to Lila's irresponsibility. They both have a friend who's dumb and reckless but ultimately cares about them
So logically, this would mean that Lila's husband and John's wife would also have parallels, and if Skiddad's part of the cult, then...
I will absolutely admit this was just a silly crack theory/AU-- until I saw her photo from the ARG. It's just incredibly striking to me that the first photo we see of John's wife, the first acknowledgement of her period, has her with her eyes out of frame, not visible, just like Skid's dad. Her clothes, too, a cyan jacket with a dark green shirt and gold hairbands. It just screams cult to me
I'm not saying she was like, the cult's co-leader or anything, but I think she's involved, somehow. Imagine the absolute crushing irony there too, that John has spent so long trying to find out and stop the people that have taken his daughter, his home, his life away from him, only to find that his beloved wife was one of them. That'd just be soul crushing.
Also while I'm yapping I want to briefly touch upon Rick and Frank since I included them here too
Tumblr media
I don't think Frank's in the cult. His literal entire thing basically goes against the cult since he actually gives the kids back... eventually. HOWEVER, I've been really warming up to the "undead Frank" theory, particularly the idea that the cult revived him ala Frankenstein's Monster to use him for their own purposes, but Frank still had his own mind (either metaphorically or literally) and fucked off because he didn't want any part of it (I would also like to thank @nonbinaryshotgunman for giving me that idea)
TLDR: he knows the cult exists, but doesn't know the members or what they want
Now for Rick... genuinely there's two ways I see it: either the comedic route where he joins the cult in the last episode as a "job", or the more serious/character focused route where he's a former cultist, and his depression and apathy stem from his time in it
I've just been thinking about it and like. He's worked for Evermore. He's worked at the Candy Club, which we now know is owned by the Candy Dealer. He's worked at the mall, which is a hotspot to sell Happy Fellas, which may or may not be connected to the cult. The only job Rick's had in the show itself so far that is 100% not connected to the cult is when he worked at the theater, and Radford more than likely helped get him hired
Somehow someway Rick keeps getting jobs that are in some way connected to the cult. I feel like it has to mean something. Plus again, main associated color is red, cult colors. Something I also find super interesting is that his toy counterpart in the SM 4 credits has gold rims on his shirt, which aren't actually there in his normal/casual outfit, implying his original design had them at one point but this got changed sometime before the TT merch ad
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay I'm done yapping (for now). Thank you again SO so much I LOVE just talking about theory shit

Ensemble Stars!! x Pokemon || Rhythm Link
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Starmaker Production || Cosmic Production || Masterlist || New Dimension || Others
Undead
Rei: Crobat. Noivern. Lampent.  Kaoru: Golbat. Mantine. Spritzee. Alomomola. Koga: Golbat. Yamper. Lycanroc (Midnight). Toxtricity (Amped). Adonis: Golbat. Milotic. Drampa.
Undead’s symbol is bat and the main color is purple. So Crobat is perfect. Other bat pokemons are Swoobat (too cute) and Noivern.
Rei has his own Noivern for his vampire image. They are both strong at night and weak at daylight (the only problem is Rei’s dislike of noisy things). Sakumas have a victorian-like style around them, so Lampent based on chandeliers for this. I wanted to give him Cofagrigus for the coffin, but it's solid gold and turns people into mummies, so nah.
Surfer is a trainer class and from them I took Mantine. Mantine surfing is a thing in Alola. Also it’s a flying type and Kaoru has a theme of wings. For flirting side + name meaning “fragrance” + ability to tell girls apart by their scents = Spritzee. For the combination of both, I gave him Alomomola (also it has “mom” in english name and “mama” in japanese name).
Yamper = Leon (they’re both corgi). For the actual wolf image I went with Lycanroc. I already gave Toxtricity to Aoi twins, but Koga LOVES his electric guitar, and it's only electric guitar pokemon. I wanted to give Obstagoon, but decided on only one music-related pokemon.
Adonis’ name is of Greek origin so I was looking for any greek-related pokemon. A lot of pokemon have Greek names or gods in their names. In the end I decided on Milotic. Milo is from Venus de Milo (Aphrodite of Melos). In Japanese it’s all greek: Venus de Milo, kallos (Greek for beauty) and Charis (Greek goddesses of grace and beauty). And Adonis is the Greek demi-god of beauty and desire. They have similar name origins. For Adonis’ caring side I went with Drampa who is gentle and cares for children.
Ra*bits
Tomoya: Azumarill. Swablu. Jigglypuff. Nazuna: Azumarill. Buneary. Klink. Cinderace. Mitsuru: Marill. Dachsbun. Doduo Hajime: Marill. Polteageist. Aromatisse.
Azumarill is the only bunny or rabbit pokemon who’s full line is cute (and it’s blue, like Ra*bits’ theme color). Lopunny is based on a playboy bunny, Cinderace sporty and Diggersby is ugly. Nazuna was the leader so he also has Azumarill.
Tomoya is often described as “average” so normal types was a list to look from. Tomoya likes a pillow and cannot sleep without it, so I gave him a Swablu. It's soft and likes to lay on people’s heads. “Tomo” means friend so I looked for friendship evolving pokemon. Jigglypuff is a normal type and evolves via friendship.
Buneary = Koppe (Bun). It’s the only brown rabbit pokemon (despite the name based on bunny, category is rabbit). Klink left after Valkyrie. Cinderace has a similar color palette. Also, Nazuna is known for jumping ability and Cinderace can learn High jump kick.
Dachsbun is a bread. Other than that, he’s pretty normal, making it very hard to find pokemons for him. The only another part of him i was able to pick up as a clue is he’s love to running. So i went to pokemons with “Run away” ability or high speed stat what would fit him. That’s how Doduo was picked. It’s fast stats-wise, but lore-wise it is (It's said to reach speed of 60 mph/100 km/h) (its evo Dodrio is slower lore-wise). Also, his last name has “sky” in it, and Doduo is a flying type (despite not actually being able to fly…)
Hajime loves tea and even created his own tea flavor, so I went for tea pokemons, Sinistea, Polteageist, Poltchageist and Sinistcha. They all described having bad flavor and stealing life force. Polteageist is the only one who had anything good in pokedex. Also its purple, Hajime’s favorite color. Hajime sniffs aromatic lavender sachets to calm down when feels anxious. So purple fragrance pokemon which evolves by holding a sachet is the perfect pick.
Akatsuki
Keito: H.Decidueye. Zubat. Lotad. Shiftry. Kuro: Dartrix. Tarountula. Mabosstiff. Kommo-o Souma: Dartrix. Dewott. Rapidash. Squirtle.
AKATSUKI’s style is dawn and maple leaves, but it also reminds me of autumn. Hisuian Decidueye is in that style and was my first thought for AKATSUKI. I searched more, but no other options stood out to me. Even tho, Dartrix does not really fit.
Zubat is left after Deadmenz. Keito has multiple associations with lotus and Lotad and its evolution, Lombre, are the only lotus-based pokemons. After that, it was hard. Everything else about Keito are glasses, manga, lectures and the son of a Buddhist priest (Decidueye already covers archery). So I decided to search among japanese-based pokemons which might be manga characters or just yokais. I went with Shiftry. It’s based on tengu and has a leaf motif.
Kuro loves sewing and clothing design and is a childhood friend of Shu, so there’s no harm in them having the same pokemon, Tarountula. Kuro looks intimidating, but actually gentle and protective. Mabosstiff is a scary-looking dark-type who has the ability “Intimidate” and likes to play with children and take an intimidating look when protecting its family. Kuro has a motif for dragons + Kuro is a good fighter. So the only dragon/fighting pokemon, Kommo-o, was a pick. I wanted to give him a pre-evo form, Hakamo-o, but Kuro was a captain in the karate club, so deserves a fully evolved pokemon. Also, Kuro’s dragon motif and Tetora’s tiger motifs seem to be reference to dragon and tiger in Buddhism, and Inceneroar and Kommo-o were introduced in the same region, so that’s aldo works.
Souma is a martial artist, specializing in sword-play, which is Dewott based on (in-pokemon-universe it’s reversed, people based swordplay art on Dewott) . I gave him two Hisui starters, huh. Let’s go with another starter. Squirtle is a reference to Souma’s love for turtles. The Kanzaki household owns a horse and it’s Souma’s animal motif so I went with Rapidash. Other horse pokemons are Mudsdale (too bulky for Souma), Galarian Rapidash (too fairytale-ie) or legendaries/mythicals.

A help request (December 2024 update)
I'd like to start by thanking everyone who responded to the request for help I made in November regarding the problems mentioned in the post published at the time.
I was surprised by some generous donations on Ko-Fi that made all the difference in solving the most pressing problems and boosting funds. I managed to repair my Switch Lite, which has come back to life thanks to your help!
As soon as the previous Ko-Fi goal was reached, I opened a new one that seeks to raise funds to repair the dishwasher that needs a part replacement to work properly again and at the same time to return funds to my mother, who is unemployed like me, that she has lent me over the year for urgent expenses that have been external to the replacement of the cell phone and the bed. At the time of writing this post, the Ko-Fi target is at 8% and can be consulted and shared.
At the same time as I published the request for help, I made several photos of collectors' items, almost all Rayman related, available for sale in order to help me raise the funds needed to solve various problems. Although I've sold a minority, many other items are still available for purchase and so I decided to delete the descriptions and photos of items that had already been sold, and now also include from Pokémon and other generic items.
Alternatively to donations and item purchases, I have two art commission slots available until the end of this year.
Essentially due to the car replacement that had to be done as an unpredictable big expense, 2025 is going to be a difficult year for me and therefore I have come to the hard decision to shrink down part of my private collections as a way to obtain necessary funds and make the incoming year a little more manageable.
I don’t like to ask help but it’s been a rough timeline for me. Thank you for reading in advance, any help is greatly appreciated while I don’t manage to find a job. 🙏
Please note the following details:
Products that are shown alongside with other product or more in the same photograph square means that those items are only sold as a pack/batch and not separately. I can clarify which ones by DM if you aren’t sure through the photographs.
I ship to most countries in the world, and always with tracking code so we’re both able to know its whereabouts. I won’t accept other types of shipping due to safety reasons.

So I listened to the entire Echoes from the Borderlands podcast #1 about BL1 and there wasn’t really too much of substance lore-wise, but the tidbits I appreciated were
-They wrote the entire story of BL1 in “about 40 hours”. Like, 1 work week. It shows tbh
-Angel’s name during development was VOG (pronounced like “vogue”), for “Voice of God”
-Tannis in BL1 was written by an autistic person! (Mikey Neumann) He said he drew on his own experiences as a person on the spectrum and how it would affect one’s reaction to trauma when writing her BL1 characterization.
-Lilith, Roland, Mordecai, and Tannis are all names from the Old Testament, but they didn’t really have any reason for doing that besides making it seem like there were deep meanings behind the names LOL
-They named the game “Borderlands” because they viewed it as an area in-between other areas (being the first RPG/shooter hybrid) . Randy compared it to an area of grassy concrete next to a highway but before the trees
-Randy originally wanted BL1’s gameplay to be a perfect loop, where you defeat the Destroyer and then Marcus pulls up in the bus and it’s the character select screen again. They added the Hyperion satellite and the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap end scene literally just for shits and giggles and had no intention of following up on it. (They didn’t even plan to do DLC for BL1 at all)
-They started working on BL2 before BL1 even released
-Randy originally didn’t want a robot character, he thought it was “trite” and overdone, but once they made Claptrap into an annoying failguy he changed his mind and liked him.
-Before they got Cage the Elephant for the opening cutscene, Mikey wanted to try for some Bob Dylan song lol… and apparently Randy said No chance he’s gonna let us put one of his songs in this stupid ass game (not even kidding, that was his reasoning for picking another artist)
-Crazy Earl hiding behind a door was 100% a cost-cutting measure because they didn’t have the budget (or time) to design another character model
-the illustrated ink bits with Marcus’ storytelling at the beginning came from one of the guys just fucking around in After Effects very shortly before the game went gold
-it seems like the majority of this game was made that way lol. The title cards were Mikey fuckin around in Photoshop, the initial trailer was his very first trailer edit, and half the voices were just him and Randy because they didn’t have the budget for too many fancy VAs
-they like the art style of the series, but they also feel like it holds the series back somewhat. Randy mentions numerous instances of players rejecting the game on the basis of wanting something more realistic. (To which he says Fuck that lol and I agree)
-Related to that, they said they tend to focus more on what they want to create rather than how well they think it will or won’t do in the gaming market.
-They feel like developing the BL series is getting progressively more fun as they expand the world and see how far they can develop the setting, characters, and weapons.
