I think that a lot of the debate surrounding Vil’s gender identity would be cleared up if people accepted that Vil does not consider himself a feminine man. Vil doesn’t consider wearing makeup to be feminine. Vil does not consider the group performance to be feminine.

Vil isn’t doing feminine things despite being a man, nor is he reinterpreting feminine things as masculine. He does things because he considers them beautiful. Gender was never a part of the equation for him.

I started it a long time ago and was returning a few times and finished line art a few weeks ago. But due to recent events, i prob will never finish it. Guilty feelings of genuinely enjoying content with my fav characters are too strong and make my already bad mental health only worse.

I remade Amagis' teams from my Pokemon AU because i remembered that a lot of Hisui (Hokkaido/Ezo) pokemon were based in one way or another on Ainu culture. They may retconned them being Ainu but it just more flavor into creating pokemon team. Also most of the Hisui are extinct. So, like, "that vilage have pokemons what people think are not exist anymore". More fun

Explanation for changes

Rinne: Vespiquen, Wyrdeer, Flapple, Basculegion

In old team i gave Vilage chief Dragonite as a pokemon what they need to train in order to proof what they're ready to be the chief. In this, i changed it to Wyrdeer. Wyrdeer are based on reindeer, or the Yezo sika deer (called yuk by the native Ainu people). Both Wyrdeer and yuk are important to locals for their fur (and meat). Among all Hisui pokemon Wyrdeer is the most fitting to be the dear (pun intended) pokemon for the village chief.

I wasn't sure if i wanted to give Rinne pokemon from a village other than Wyrdeer. But Basculegion is so freakin cool! Basculegion is a combination of salmon (may be specific Sakhalin taimen, which is a large species that appears in Ainu folklore as a giant, powerful creature that can devour deer and bears) and Itaomacip, an enlarged boat with side plates built by the Ainu people. Rinne's Basculegion quickly befriended Kanata.

Hiiro: Nidoqueen, Stantler, Tyrogue, Gyarados, Braviary

Stantler is Wyrdeer's pre-evolution. Due to Wyrdeer being "chief's pokemon" Hiiro does not dare to evolve it.

One day, Amagis brothers found a hurt Rufflet and decided to take care of it (Hiiro wasn't sure if he can, so Rinne, noticing what Hiiro wanted to do, ordered him to). After Hiiro started to live in the city, it evolved to Braviary. Hisuian Braviary is based on Steller's sea eagle or/and Papuan eagle, who both live in Hokkaido.
