a bit of an emergency ~

I had hoped with all my heart to not have to make another plea like this until at least February, especially in light of the generosity I was shown in December. So, I want to make this request as small as possible and with total understanding that I may fall short of my goal.

Although we are still quite busy at work (after 10am most days), Walmart has begun seriously slashing hours. No surprise, as it was easy to see the Holiday business was significantly down this year (though Management still earned their bonuses!). This week and going forward, all Front End associates (cashiers & Service Desk) have lost hours. Full-timers have been cut from 40 hours/week to 24. My usual 30-34 hours (they demoted me to part-time several years ago due to an extended leave of absence) has been cut down to between 16-21 hours/week. None of us can make ends meet, but Corporate doesn't give a damn (as expected). As a result, I won't be able to fully cover my room next week. I just need $125 to be able to stay sheltered for the full seven days (January 12-18), and then my next paycheck will cover the following week.

A help request (December 2024 update)

I'd like to start by thanking everyone who responded to the request for help I made in November regarding the problems mentioned in the post published at the time.

I was surprised by some generous donations on Ko-Fi that made all the difference in solving the most pressing problems and boosting funds. I managed to repair my Switch Lite, which has come back to life thanks to your help!

As soon as the previous Ko-Fi goal was reached, I opened a new one that seeks to raise funds to repair the dishwasher that needs a part replacement to work properly again and at the same time to return funds to my mother, who is unemployed like me, that she has lent me over the year for urgent expenses that have been external to the replacement of the cell phone and the bed. At the time of writing this post, the Ko-Fi target is at 8% and can be consulted and shared.

At the same time as I published the request for help, I made several photos of collectors' items, almost all Rayman related, available for sale in order to help me raise the funds needed to solve various problems. Although I've sold a minority, many other items are still available for purchase and so I decided to delete the descriptions and photos of items that had already been sold, and now also include from Pokémon and other generic items.

Alternatively to donations and item purchases, I have two art commission slots available until the end of this year.

Essentially due to the car replacement that had to be done as an unpredictable big expense, 2025 is going to be a difficult year for me and therefore I have come to the hard decision to shrink down part of my private collections as a way to obtain necessary funds and make the incoming year a little more manageable.

I don’t like to ask help but it’s been a rough timeline for me. Thank you for reading in advance, any help is greatly appreciated while I don’t manage to find a job. 🙏

Please note the following details:

Products that are shown alongside with other product or more in the same photograph square means that those items are only sold as a pack/batch and not separately. I can clarify which ones by DM if you aren’t sure through the photographs.

I ship to most countries in the world, and always with tracking code so we’re both able to know its whereabouts. I won’t accept other types of shipping due to safety reasons.

The shipping address and other sensitive information will be exclusively used to ship the parcel.

MS-DOS era games require emulation techniques to work on modern computers and there are community projects like Rayman Control Panel that help with that.

All games are complete in the box and between very good condition to like new.

The Rayman memory card is in good overall state.

The Elite Trainer boxes don't have boosters or codes

I've mentioned in the past that I made a ko-fi account because job search is taking a while and we don't have to go into detail about everything, but basically I thought that whatever tips generous people decided to send I could use it as an artist fund. You know, get supplies and whatever I need to do crafts and stuff, sell those in my small business, and reinvest.

Wait, why does it sound like we are in a “Shark Tank” episode? haha

Well, getting back to it. There's also the fact that, like I said in another post, every now and then I think about sharing something over here while I'm in the middle of writing or when an idea just pop-ups into my head, but as someone who avoids spoilers as much as I can, I've restrained myself. But maybe some people would be interested in those things and don't mind a spoiler or two. So, posting over on ko-fi can work for that.

Hey, if you come here from AO3, yes, you know me as Invidia_Envy. I’ve posted this before in one of my TKA fics update kinda completely forgetting about its rules there.

So, in the TKA fic, I asked for donation for my tuition while I was having a headache on how to pay it. I managed to raise just enough to not completely drain my family off without any food, but it wasn’t enough to not be in debt. I had to borrow my brother’s money and he was also very tight with money, so yeah, in debt.

I’ve been swamped with the new semester that I couldn’t write so I couldn’t make new update to inform about the donation.

Please bear in mind, this is DONATION. I don’t want you all to think that you all need to give me money for me to keep going. This only a hobby of mine and it didn’t sit well for me to capitalize on it or even hold hostage an update.

Housing update...

As some following this blog might remember, I've been hoping to be able to move in with a relative who has been experiencing serious health issues (severe osteoarthritis in her hip), which would be of help to both of us; I'd be paying rent which she could put towards her mortgage, plus do the cleaning & maintenance on her condo which is now beyond her ability. She's already qualified to go on full disability, but she won't take it yet as she fears the reduction in her income would eat into her retirement savings too quickly. And while I had envisioned that I would be settled in with her by Christmas, she isn't ready to let me move in right now just in case her daughter (whom she subsidizes rent for) decides to move back home. So, I remain homeless in a state whose low-income housing waiting list remains closed.

As a result, I need to raise enough funds...

...to supplement my work income through the end of the year so that I can keep a roof over my head and a warm place to sleep. Nighttime temperatures have fallen into the twenties, so there's no way I can sleep in my car. I hope to raise around $500 for the remainder of 2024, with an immediate need of $175 towards next week's cost.

I know very well that just about everyone is going through financial stress right now (along with the added stress of the holiday season), so I understand that donations will be hard to come by. But in my desperation, I just have to try--while hoping for the best. I am sending out my love and gratitude to anyone who might help with a reblog or donation!

Help a trans girl save for HRT and pay monthly expenses

I've made a few posts like this asking for tips on my Ko-fi to help with rent and other expenses, and that's still something I need. However, I also want to specifically try and save for HRT, particularly since I'm going the DIY route. (If anyone out there has done/is doing DIY HRT please feel free to DM if you have tips or info about it, especially gels and vendors and such)

DIY is gonna run me roughly $50-$100 each supply, and I want to stockpile if I can. If even just a few people can donate $5 each I'll be able to pick a vendor and get started. I wanted to let you guys know that my brother has caught Covid and our cat Rainbow is showing signs that she might die soon; similar signs that Fred gave us when he was struggling to move or eat, almost anything, really..
