ranger's apprentice characters' reactions to Will's beard

Cassandra: gagged. actually. gagged.

Gilan: just started laughing uncontrollably. couldn't stop. had to be physically removed from the grounds and taken to the infirmary.

Halt: silent for a few seconds, then walked into a room, came back, put a razor in Will's hand, and said "you can't pull it off. shave."

Maddie: started crying. as a baby and again as a teenager. will cry again.

Tug: bit into his beard to pretend it was hay.

Horace: as it turns out, he knows quite some unladylike language himself.

Duncan: didn't realise it was Will, apologised to the new Ranger for not knowing his name.

Crowley: "absolutely not. i do NOT need a second Halt in my ranks" (Halt couldn't disagree with him on this very particular manner)

Arald: turned to Sandra and asked, "can I order him to shave?" Sandra wished she could've said yes.

George: legit didn't notice. rumour has it he did notice, he's just in denial.

Jenny: started serving Will tons and tons more napkins... was it a silent hint?

It’s so funny to me because I’ve only been on tumblr like a month and I got it for the rangers apprentice content (because god knows that the fandom is nonexistent elsewhere) and I can recognize users and profile pictures. Like I don’t know these people personally but I notice every time they like a post because there’s only so many of us and only so much content FOR consuming. I go on Pinterest and search the rangers apprentice and go “Hey, I’ve seen that person around!!” I have never spoken a word to these people in my life yet I know who they are and that they, too, are obsessed with a stupid fantasy series for middle schoolers

he kills kab. he murders the youngest member of their team in cold blood and calls it a transaction. he calls her “free hearts” and lashes out and refuses to see reason - she thinks it’s evil. fuck, she CALLS him evil and fucked up, references music to try and make it all make sense. it’s the first friendly fire she’s witnessed on lifesteal and it’s impossible for her to justify.

she stays, and she finishes the build with him and they laugh together still despite it all. they finish the trial and even after that she defends him to 4C and Cube. she tells them it wasn’t what it seems and there was more to it than murder, even if she’d seen it was little more than animalistic brutality.

after all, he’s reassured her that they’re fine, right? he’s got no problems with her yet, they’re still friendly, she’s safe as long as she’s on his safe side. she’s always been cautious; what’s one more danger to tiptoe around?

I firmly believe that while Jason or Dick have more known allies, Tim would have the strangest and most random allies. Oh, we got lost in the Amazon?? Don't worry, I know a nearby villain who owes me something. Ah, we are in an unknown Siberian tundra?? no problem there's a drug lord a short distance from here i've done deals with before

Oh, for real, Tim has the weirdest ability to make allies everywhere. It's impressive.

Also, for some reason, he is just really good at working with "villains" or antiheroes. Damian is mildly impressed at that while Dick is just concerned.
