as someone who studies at home a lot and who has a housemate who will start playing the guitar at random moments i would like us all to stop romanticising Will playing the mandola randomly at the cabin. alyss has things to do and us work from home girlies are tired of it.

ranger's apprentice characters' reactions to Will's beard

Cassandra: gagged. actually. gagged.

Gilan: just started laughing uncontrollably. couldn't stop. had to be physically removed from the grounds and taken to the infirmary.

Halt: silent for a few seconds, then walked into a room, came back, put a razor in Will's hand, and said "you can't pull it off. shave."

Alyss: bit her lips because you do you honey, but she wasn't the biggest fan. never told him, though.

Pauline: "Will, sweetheart, are you sure?"

Maddie: started crying. as a baby and again as a teenager. will cry again.

Tug: bit into his beard to pretend it was hay.

Horace: as it turns out, he knows quite some unladylike language himself.

Duncan: didn't realise it was Will, apologised to the new Ranger for not knowing his name.

Crowley: "absolutely not. i do NOT need a second Halt in my ranks" (Halt couldn't disagree with him on this very particular manner)

Arald: turned to Sandra and asked, "can I order him to shave?" Sandra wished she could've said yes.

George: legit didn't notice. rumour has it he did notice, he's just in denial.
