This may seem random and has nothing to do with Sonic, but I genuinely love people who are kind-hearted. I’m not saying they haven’t made mistakes; everyone has done something wrong and everyone has sinned. However, those who are simply good people, who don’t get upset when you’re feeling down, are so refreshing to meet. Having someone like that in your life is one of my favorite things ever.

I especially appreciate these types of people when they serve as parental figures, particularly if your own home situation isn’t great. It’s incredibly uplifting to encounter someone who embodies kindness and strives to be good. I aspire to be one of these people someday. I try to be that way today, but I understand that it takes time to achieve this and to avoid getting caught up in drama and the stresses of social life. I truly admire those who have the strength to remain positive and nurturing. This post might just be targeted… but she won’t ever see it.

So in Sonic Superstars you come up on a scene in a water level where Trip is hiding behind an octopus. If you play as any of the boys, she hides, and the level continues as normal.

But if you're playing as Amy, then Trip comes out, waves at you, and the Octopus moves aside, because in the previous level you helped her out and gave her an apple.

Amy gets a special route in the game, not because of any super powers or anything, but because she's a wonderful girl with a huge heart and made a friend.

I really like that.

I talk about the specifics of Ivo and Stone’s dynamic (which can be considered platonic or romantic) in my Sonic 3 review so I hope you’ll give it a read! But here are my personal thoughts/headcanons of it as a ship:

Robotnik and Stone's chemistry is through the roof! I think Ivo pushes Stone away because he's never experienced affection and doesn't recognize it -- he just interprets Stone sticking around as blind allegiance to his evil schemes. Meanwhile, I think maybe Ivo's genius is what appealed to Stone in the first place and why he signed up as a henchman, but he quickly developed feelings for the doctor and is more focused about the doctor being happy and helping him achieve his dreams than he is about world domination.

Also, when Ivo chose to sacrifice himself to save the world, he specifically calls out Stone by name! He dedicates "his final livestream" to him, which I interpret as "I'm ending this for you." And he does it in front of the ENTIRE WORLD! That's love, baby!

I HATE when people say "Lanolin is a replacement Sally Acorn" or "Lanolin is just Sally 2.0".

Like I JUST started rereading IDW, and doing research on her, and Sally's character for an AU I'm making. They're not alike. Sure they both are female leaders who are headstrong, but saying that Lanolin is a "replacement" for Sally dumbs down both of their characters and character arcs. Lanolin seems to be more hotheaded, and she's still learning to BE a leader. Sally also had to learn to be a leader, but she went about it differently, and made her own mistakes in the Archie Comics.

I especially hate it when people say Lanolin and Sally would hate each other. If anything I think they would be friends, and Sally would happily give her experience as a leader to another person standing up for justice. Plus, Lanolin's character arc isn't even over yet, and I still see people say she's a rip off! Just because she's a female leader. What happened to each character being their own person?😭

Am I genuinely stupid for not seeing the resemblance or something? I mean I just got back into rereading the comics. I also hate when people only hate Lanolin because she "Replaced" Sally Acorn. They are sepperate characters who were never meant to be the same. I get you miss Sally, but she STILL EXISTS. You can appreciate a new character, when still loving an old one. It's not a crime to not be black and white.💀

This was just some yapping, but I genuinely hate it. Stop pitting these QUEENS against each other. It's not nearly as bad as what happened with Sally and Amy, but still. I love them both as characters, and I'm tired of seeing people say this stuff.

DC and SEGA are doing a crossover and several characters are dressed as DC heroes. I had heard of Wonder Woman Amy before finding out about that thanks to @e-vay mentioning it and I found Amy's pic and just had to draw her! She came out so badass! The rope/lasso wasn't part of the design, but it felt wrong to leave it out because that's a big part of Wonder Woman's arsenal. So to compensate, I attached it to the hammer and now it's a wonderful long-range weapon that packs a huge punch!

IDW and Archie Sonic are equally good, one in one category, the other in another category.

IDW has amazing and beautiful art style. Props to the artists and everyone there!

And Archie has amazing story arcs that make me dread every time I continue reading them (or recounting them). Everyone except Penders did an amazing job!

Combine those two together and you have a cool mix of both!

To be clear, I'm more into Archie Pre-SGW than Post-SGW, so that's a bias that I can't get rid of. If you like Post-SGW, I don't blame you, but do be aware that I will focus more on Pre-SGW than Post-SGW!

Any head-canons you made up for Amais and Sony, or would some things stay the same for them?

Things would be mostly the same, but here are some little ideas I had:

Amias' love for Sony is just as strong and overwhelming as Amy's love for Sonic, but he does make more of an effort to not BOMBARD HER with affection so as not to overstep Sony's boundaries, at least initially. But eventually Sony noticed the physical toll it was taking on Amias and she finally just came out and confessed "Ya know you can hug me whenever you want, right?"

Instead of jumping on Sony like Amy does to Sonic, Amias has a habit of picking her up!

Sony is not good at talking about her feelings, but she discovered that she likes poetry and she finds it easier to work out her thoughts that way. However, she keeps that a secret.
