My Motherโ€™s said to me yesterday please donโ€™t worry about my health deteriorating when you get to 93 year old you expect to have things wrong with you. My concern was a friendโ€™s dog knocking into her and sods law it opened up an old injury. Such is life. It was a combination of worry anxiety and an over active OCD related sensory system together with a neck strain from a weight I should have been able to lift that was keeping me up all night. At 2am made myself a hot dead sea salt bath after I ate gluten free protein porridge in the hope that would help me sleep. However this is where Ivโ€™e stopped concerning myself about how in the state of lacking sleep I do 520 assisted squats ( my hands resting on a sink in front of me. The squats took me roughly 32 minutes. You can see some of the results from the heart rate monitor app HeartRate_Lite. varying from a resting 5 beats a minute to my 520 squats 105. Try to ensure carbs and protien with meals around workouts. 2.) Do deep stretching after utilizing bands and or the foam roller. If you need exercises with them google Kelly Starrett he is a legend. 3.) Biking is excellent for sore legs! Use the spin bike for best effect. 10-20 mins to get the blood flowing between workouts. 4.) If in doubt, ice bath. Nothing comes close. If you knock it, you likely have not tried it. This coming from someone with a reconstructed knee. Just do it. 5.) Decompress. Relax. Meditate and SLEEP! The body is a system of systems.
