Don't have the time nor energy to make anything new, but in honor of #Technoblade25 I will revisit this animatic I made. Exactly one year since I first posted, and lemme tell ya, it feels like it's been a LOT longer.

In any case, it took more time than I'd like to admit to be able to enjoy this. I was happy with it as I was making it, and shortly after having finished. But by shortly I mean the thrill only lasted until the day after I posted. Ever since, I've been avoiding looking at it, noticing all the little mistakes and things I could've done better because I severely underestimated how long an animatic would take and was rushed.

It's been long enough now though that I can look back with fondness. And that I can be proud of this.

So happy birthday Alex Thank you for your stories, and all the amazing creations you inspired.

Happy Birthday Technoblade

Alright so, I've worked my tail off for this for the past 6 months, setting aside other projects and free time to work on this pretty much every day, especially in the last 3 months. And it's honestly crazy to think that despite all that, this is less than 3 minutes long... lol

As per usual for myself, I kept track of how long I spent on this, pausing and starting a timer whenever I worked on it, and WHOO boy.

101:50 hours

By far my biggest project to date (nearly doubling the previous one at 53:00 hours), and hopefully stays that way for a while, haha, not gonna be feeling so ambitious for QUITE a bit, lol. In any case, I especially wanted to get this done for Technoblade's 24th birthday - despite this really being more of a Philza animatic - only for the reason that I came up the idea for the animatic the day after "So Long Nerds". I became so attached to the idea that it really became my primary motivator to work on it so much. So, in some sense, this is somewhat a tribute to Techno, again, even if it doesn't focus on him much. Despite that, I do feel like it captures the feeling well enough, especially in the sense of loss.

Speaking of Techno, I genuinely think this helped me grieve more fully. I had somewhat gone through the stages of grief in the 5-ish months since the news of his passing to when I started, but listening to the song repeatedly, drafting and finalizing all the frames, all the while remember Techno... I don't know, especially since this is more of a portrayal of acceptance, it helped me reach that, and be able to look back and rewatch his content and things he appeared in happily rather than bittersweet with the pain of loss. All that to say this was very cathartic. XD Thanks for watching, whoever you are, and thanks for reading too. It's genuinely heartwarming when people see and enjoy what I do. 💛

Memorials

With Cybertron's rebuilding, bots needed a place to mourn those who they had lost. A place of peace and comfort.

Autobot, Decepticon, Neutrals/Civilians, and the Rescue Bots all got their own wall of names. As the number of losses were counted, the walls grew, never seeming to end.

The only one to remain done to the present was the Rescue Bot Memorial. The massacre killed them all, only sparing those who had already left for either side of the war. As the roster of Rescue Bots, recruits and bots alike, were carved into the wall, their inner energon was added with, fading for those who had died. The ones who glowed were still alive, showing the stark loss of the fraction.

No team remained fully lit, besides Sigma 17.

I Loveᵀᴹ this spaghetti code hell website because I’m quite certain all of my other blogs including my new one have been basically shadow banned from showing up on people’s dashes. No warnings, no pending posts or reports made against any of them, nothing is blurred, you can still search them, it’s just this website as per usual not being able to tell the difference between a real person and a malicious bot and randomly axing real accounts no matter what you do to try and be as casual as possible. Whenever a fanfic featured original characters I always assumed that they were a beloved creation of the author or something, but while writing my own fic I decided to throw an OC into the story to keep the plot going and some of my readers seem genuinely invested in them so now I have to actually develop them when I used to not give a fuck 😭
