Kelly Garrett knew plenty about Rebekah Bosley. She knew the girl was bright, sweet and smart. She knew, too, that Charlie would have adored the girl. Still, as she watches Rebekah nurse her bruised back and shoulder, she knows the hidden pain all too well. ��Hello Angel…” “Bosley.” The correction is soft enough that Kelly smiles just a little. “Bosley…” A pause then… “So, what’s bugging you?” “Huh? I’ve seen people say it doenst count though like huh

Tyler being disliked in the fandom ties into how they feel on what happens to him. Kelly Donovan was the adult in the situation and 100% took advantage. Tyler is the same age as her children to really put it in perspective. She should’ve refused and controlled the situation. She is an adult, there is no excuses.

People say it doesn’t count because Tyler consented to it. Tyler’s a male, she’s an older woman so it should be seen as “sexy.” Sexual assault isn’t taken very seriously by the TVDU fandom because TVDU never wants to call it as it is. They rather sweep it under the rug.

Marcel and Rebekah are another example of when the woman needed to set boundaries versus taking advantage of the male. It’s Rebekah though and no one wants to call her a groomer but she looks like one when Marcel met her as a child and has had feelings for her since then. In none of Marbekah scenes with child!Marcel does Rebekah ever refuse Marcel’s advances. Katherine assaulted Stefan but that is glossed over.

Women are just as capable of being sexual predators.

From the last two days of Donnie Darko/Southland Tales awesomeness!!!!

Sheri and I with Director Richard Kelly and of course... #FrankTheBunny

I told Richard I only had one request as a fan... As he is one of my favorite Directors I told him I would be very happy if on his next flick he worked with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

His response....

(Laughing) "Twist my arm why don't you!"

He indicated he would absolutely love to work with that level of genius. He then reminded me that Rebekah Del Rio worked with him on Twin Peaks. Which I don't know how I forgot!!!! They both performed on the Twin Peaks Return. She told me that David Lynch recorded those performances all in the same day, which was awesome to learn!! So she got to spend time with Trent and his wife. Trent's wife even fawning over Rebekah upon their initial meeting. I asked Rebekah, "I hate to ask but is Trent a nice guy?", I told her I only ask because I've been a massive Nine Inch Nails fan my whole life and always thought that given the chance to meet Trent I would be terrified he would be mean and destroy all the years of love for his music. She said that he and Mariqueen (his wife) are absolutely sweet and down to earth.

So now if Trent wants to meet me...

I will allow it. 😆😆😆

i know i should probably have me meds adjusted becayse i’m not 100% yet but the last time that happened i was unresponsive for months and still can’t remember three months if the last year because my psych refused to let me back on adderall, the one drug that would help me as she made me go cold turkey from it after 2 years, and before that my other psych just kept telling me that if the adderall was making me depressed to stop taking it as much and that way when i did take it it would work super well, basically forcing me to be a zombie 6 days a week.

and like my new psych is okay but i do not trust her to adjust my meds or add anything because my system is working at least 65% and i’d rather be that then a hot mess

Somehow, these two silly beans are going to find out why their opposing attitudes, interests, and/or behaviors are fascinating. They are going to fall in love. It’s just up to the readers of opposites attract romance books to see how it’s all going to happen."

What music do you think all of the Mikaelsons plus Hayley and Cami would listen to?

Ok, this was actually so hard. I tried to do both time period accurate but also today what they would listen to.

Elijah

Elijah would be super pretentious with it and pretend he only has a Spotify account to listen to classical music in the car, because of course live or vinyl is the only way music should be consumed. But we all know he was in his room listening to some Lana, Adele, Dean Lewis, etc. My boy likes to listen to music that makes him feel his sadness. He also really just appreciates well produced music so I think he would really enjoy Billie and Finneas. I also think he would really have liked music in the late 1900s. He would have really enjoyed The Beatles, Billy Joel, Queen, Journey, etc.

Elijah would be obsessed with Hozier. The lyrics, the storytelling, the music, the history. He would learn all of the songs on piano. He would also really like David Kushner and Dermot Kennedy.

No memories Elijah liked to dance and I can just see him really enjoying Conan Gray. He gets to dance and cry all at the same time. But come on, Family Line is his song.

Hayley

I've seen people say Hayley would love Taylor Swift, but she was far too much of a "pick me" for that. She would have been listening to more rock or angry music. The early 2010s were peak emo music. My girl would have been listening to My Chemical Romance, The All-American Rejects, Green Day, Foo Fighters, etc. But she would pretend they were too mainstream for her. She would tell people she only listens to her version of the classics: Metallica, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Avenged Sevenfold, etc.

As she got older, it would be less angsty, but still emotional. Some Halsey, Lorde, Alessia Cara. Hope would get her to listen to Olivia Rodrigo and Sabrina Carpenter, she would enjoy it but tell Hope she needs to listen to the classic. They would both really enjoy listening to Heart, Pat Benatar, and Janet Jackson together.

Klaus

I honestly can't picture Klaus listening to music unless he is painting. So it just depended on his mood and his painting. I could definitely see him painting to Lana and Christina Perri, maybe even some James Arthur. I could see him getting high, listening to Bob Marley or Pink Floyd and painting. He would have enjoyed classic rock.

Hope would try to get him into pop music but he would only listen to the ones he didn't consider basic. He would vibe with Noah Kahan and Phoebe Bridgers.

Cami

Cami was definitely a party girl in Undergrad. She took her classes seriously but she knew how to let loose on the weekends. She was an OG listener to Beyoncé, Rihanna, Charli xcx, etc. Cami would also really love women empowerment music. She would love JoJo (not Siwa, the original), Julia Michaels, Kesha, Lady Gaga.

We just know she would love Because I Liked a Boy since she literally lived it.

She would have loved Paris Paloma if she had lived long enough.

Rebekah

I'm struggling with Rebekah a little bit. But I think she would listen to more soft pop music. Like Julia Michaels, Rachel Chinouriri, Lewis Capaldi, Mariah Cary (her older music), etc. But Rebekah would eat up boy bands too. She would definitely have fan girl'ed for the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC had she not bee daggered during their prime. She would enjoy Harry Styles and Jess McCartney.

She would have been so mad at Klaus for keeping her daggered during the 90s girl bands. She would have been obsessed with Spice Girls and Destiny's Child.

Freya

I see Freya being a country pop girl. She would have been exposed to such little music each time she was awaken. But I think she would have really liked Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Kacey Musgraves, etc. She would be obsessed with Shania Twain. She would always stand up and dance to Man I feel like a Woman every time it came, loving living in a time where she could be a woman and free.

But she also liked to dance and have fun. She would have loved Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Sean Paul, Beyonce, etc. Beyonce's Cowboy Carter would be on repeat. But she would be willing to listen to anything. Hope would constantly be showing her new music.

She would love Chappell Roan, Renee Rapp, Kehlani, Fletcher, Muna, Hayley Kiyoko, Towa Bird, etc. Any sapphic artist.

Kol

All I know about Kol is that he doesn't like Icelandic folk music. He would like slow music to dance to and then just whatever Davina liked. Davina would be introducing him to Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez, etc., and whatever club music Josh was listening to.

Also, just Kol listening to Rude by MAGIC! on repeat because we know Marcel never warmed up to him.

If they all had lived, Josh, Cami, Freya, Davina, and Kol would have been obsessed with Brat.

Finn

I don't know if Finn ever lived long enough to enjoy music. I think music would honestly be so overwhelming to him. He went from music being a harp and lute to the insane production we have today. I think just starting him off listening to Chopin or Mozart before throwing him into Ariana Grande would be wise. This man wouldn't even know what a piano is. I think he would eventually enjoy more soul or jazz music. Like Leon Bridges, Etta James, Frank Ocean. Especially being in New Orleans. He would like to go to jazz bars and just discover new artists.

Hope

Hope would get all of these people listening to modern music. She would be dragging them to go see Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, etc. And I just know her and Freya would go see Chappell.

While I hate how Kelly was mean to Caroline over dating Matt, I hate how people use that to say Matt was a worse partner than Caroline was. Matt should've tried harder to tell Kelly to back off but he did try telling her that he really likes Caroline and to be nice to his girlfriend once. It seemed like Kelly didn't like Caroline since she didn't like Liz and called Liz a lesbian since she wasn't traditionally feminine while she was nice to Elena since she was friends with Miranda. Caroline was never held accountable for being a bitch to Vicki so Matt is overhated. This quote from the books where Caroline slut shames Vicki while talking to Bonnie shows how consistent Caroline is throughout the TVD universe: Caroline stared. “Vickie Bennett? You must be joking. Invite that bizarre little drip who undressed in front of half the school? After everything that happened?"

Most of them slut-shame, they just say it in different ways and for different reasons. Caroline, Tyler, Jeremy, Rebekah, Carol, Elena, and Damon have slut-shamed at one point or another. Caroline slut-shamed Damon, Hayley, Rebekah, and the Slutty Sophie she refers to on Elena's birthday. Tyler slut-shamed Vicki. Jeremy told Matt to his face that his sister is easy. Rebekah slut-shamed Elena. Carol slut-shamed Vicky. Damon slut-shamed Katherine. Elena slut-shamed Caroline and Rebekah. Caroline so much as said out of her own mouth that it's "easy" to sleep with a guy you just met.

I’ve seen so many people say that Stefan only loved someone if they saw him as a hero and he wasn’t in love with Elena anymore in s4 because he couldn’t be her hero anymore. Also that Stefan only fell in love with orphaned girls. First Katherine, then Elena, then Caroline. What do you have to say about this?

On the real, part of me just wants to leave my response at, based on the meticulous and involved masterlist that's pinned to my blog that answers these types of ridiculous assertions in various posts even if not directly asked, I think my stance is clear and the other part of me is bored so I'm debating.

I guess I'll go with the latter but I have to reiterate that these are stupid takes.

besides the fact that I would never say Elena saw Stefan as a hero and I would say that Stefan never cared for anyone to see him as a hero, which is something I’ve explained in great detail over and fucking over again, I mean I have a masterlist, Damon is the one who wants to be Elena’s hero

to the point that Sybil gets her hooks in him by pretending to be an Elena desperate to be saved

even the framing of Damon running off to “get his girl” is very him swooping in to be her saviour or her hero

The language of Stelena is different

Damon tries to frame Stefan’s behaviour in 2x08 as “all hail hero hair Stefan going off to get his girl” but Stefan is literally just like, it’s not even about that. Elena is in trouble and I need to find her it’s really just that simple

which is the kind of attitude Elena herself has about Stefan

but not taking any of that into account (because who cares about context amirite) if their argument is that Elena didn’t see Stefan as her hero in season 4, I guess they’re forgetting that Elena still does rely on him quite a bit

The one time she didn’t, she literally had no choice because she was sired to Damon and Damon explicitly told her not to tell him.

to the point that when she has no humanity, the way she chooses to explain to Rebekah that she’s a bad person is by bringing up how she destroyed her relationship with Stefan

and she was plainly jealous in season 4

Stefan simply de-centers himself because he’s not Damon and he respects boundaries so when they’re not together anymore and Elena is having issues, he’s not quick to swoop in and save the day because that’s not his place anymore, that’s Damon’s 

DErs should just say they hate boundaries and leave. Like we’ve all watched the show, there are receipts.

2. Also that Stefan only fell in love with orphaned girls. First Katherine, then Elena, then Caroline. 

So, people realize that TVD is a show right? And Stefan isn’t written as a character who specifically goes out of his way to fall in love with orphaned girls and it’s not even like it’s a pattern that the show didn’t realize they did, which makes him, I don’t even know what they’re trying to say with this accusation, that he likes women who don’t have parents so he can fill a void?  JP and co simply have a hard-on for killing off parents because it’s the only way they can think of to try and nuance their characters and/or get Elena to relate to them

Kelly just disappears leaving him to fend off rent and car insurance on his own

even when Matt tells her to leave in 1x18, she didn’t have to go, she could physically leave the house and stay around to keep an eye on her son but she just straight up leaves

Caroline and Matt bond in season 1 because they both feel incredibly isolated, for her because Damon is abusive and for him because he has no one in his life, Kelly is never around, his father abandoned them and he thinks Vicki left too not knowing she was murdered 

Season 8  for Matt is all about contending with his dad abandoning him.

Hell, Kai has parental/family issues

The heretics are a found family because they were cast out by their covens. This is just a TVD staple.
