As thanks for our little chat earlier, here are some random headcanons on my EgoPats! Talking with friends always seems to get my creative juices flowing.

Caliban doesn’t have quite as big of a sweet tooth as irl Matt does, but he still appreciates some sugary stuff along with savory stuff (i.e. his and Murdock’s hit-targets). His favorite treats (aside from Diet Coke, because duh. He’s an Egopat, lol) are typically gummy alligators or gummy sharks. Yes, he always makes sure to start by biting the gummy’s head off, because that’s just how you eat gummies, okay? (This was actually inspired by that Gummy Food vs. Real Food Challenge on GTLive; it’s one of my favorite episodes, so many hilarious moments.) 

Penn is pretty interested in Vulture Culture. Yeah, his fossil-hunting already plays a huge part in that, but he’s just sort of fascinated by the skulls/bones of modern animals as well as those of prehistoric creatures. (Bonus points if the bones happen to have been painted for whatever reason.) Granted, they’d have to be ethically sourced for him to collect them, because he’s nice and conscious like that. 

Some of LeviathanPat’s traits/abilities are more instinctual than “at-will.” The biggest example of this: an extra eye that can sprout on his forehead, larger and darker than his primaries. While he can choose to grow and retract extra eyes (just like he can with extra mouths, limbs, etc.), this particular forehead eye only opens up when his emotions are running high, or when he’s in a serious situation. I guess you could say that the forehead eye is, in itself, a type of Sixth Sense. (Though, as a cosmic abomination, L.P. definitely has way more than six senses, lol. Also, this was inspired by one of the ways you’ve drawn him in the past, so…thanks!)

Penn loves gemstones and minerals just as much as fossils. Sure, his career is paleontology, but he just really likes shiny/colorful things on the side. He’ll occasionally keep pieces of fossil for his personal collection, but only on occasion, since, y’know, museums need fossils for their exhibits. So, gemstones are a little easy for that kinda stuff. (And, with that first headcanon in mind: have you ever seen that art trend where crystals are attached to or even grown on cleaned animal skulls? If not, they’re all over Etsy, so, you’re welcome, lol. But yeah, Penn would LOVE to get one of those.)

Along with helping Yancy out with musical stuff, Ozzie has a love for drawing. It’s just something he’s been doing since he was little, though he’s currently much better at pencil-work than painting. 

Patty does a variety of things in his off-time from dancing, but one of his favorites is sculpting. He’s had quite a lot of practice, but he usually tends to just make small pieces for decoration. This includes little clay charms for necklaces (yeah, he definitely made one as a present for Delux one time, lol. I’m thinking maybe…a little black fox? Obviously Delux can’t wear it when he’s working for fear of losing it on the streets or at a client’s place, but we both know he’d still appreciate it.) 

Despite being a terrifying outer monstrosity, LeviathanPat is sort of claustrophobic. This is due to all the time he was trapped in the underground tomb that Penn and Illinois accidentally freed him from. He usually spends a lot of time hunting outside at night (because of his whole window schtick), but if he ever finds an opportunity to actually go inside a place, then it’ll have to be good and spacious for him to be comfortable. (Along with his shapeshifting skills, LeviathanPat is also capable of sizeshifting, which he can use in a pinch. Though, due to his pride, he’d never even consider turning smaller than a human, lol). 

Ahhhh all of these are great!

Some of these headcanons are not much different than mine, you also definitely got me to rewatch the gummy vs real video, always makes me laugh to see Matt and Steph freak out over the gummy spider lmao

Here’s some small headcanons I had because why not

Penn would absolutely be a skull collector, but most importantly he would be a cat. Illinois would be chilling on the couch one day and Penn would jump on him and ominously hand him a deer skull and smile before walking away, leaving Illinois to sit there dumbfounded and a little scared of where the hell Penn got that.

I’d imagine Patty sleeping in the most pretzel like positions ever to be seen from humanity lol. Imagine being his roommate and walking into the room to see him sleep in a way like he’s posing for a renaissance painting.

Patty would also be a god at drag makeup. Like give this man a makeup palette and he’ll go face your face the vision of god.

I think Ozzy would be (and forced to be) Yancy’s costume designer when he wants to do a musical number. I like the idea of a brute muscle having the most patient hobby like art. I also think painting is much harder personally, but with a bit of good behavior, he’ll probably learn to paint watercolor.

Caliban, my man, would 100 percent horde all of the Diet Coke from others. Bro does NOT like to share when it comes to his treats. Even R.D. would make Caliban hesitate to give up his precious soda, but one look from her and he’ll melt and gladly hand one over. Azalea and Murdock on the other hand they’ll fight like cats for one. (Mad would get his head chopped off before he could even ask)

Now LeviathanPat, I got plans for him, but one funny headcanon is that while his shapeshifting is effective and sometimes in his advantage, he definitely got ran over one too many times by a random car. Not in his eldritch form, but maybe around like a bear size or deer when he wanders.

He also hates hunting season as he was also mistaken for a deer one too many times, and it was getting tiring or either killing or scaring off the hunters. I would also agree on LeviathanPat being claustrophobic due to him being trapped in the tomb, but one thing he may not find unnerving?

Possession, he’ll just have to find the perfect host to leech on…

And he had already laid his eyes upon him the moment the tomb was opened.

Thess vs Anticipation

Things I am looking forward to:

D&D tonight (because I always look forward to D&D nights)

Payday Friday (because buying a new - well, refurbished but still - computer kind of fucked with my budget, but that's okay because...)

Silent Hill 2 Remake drops 6th October (because I paid extra for two days early, and new computer means I have the recommended hardware instead of just the basic, and...)

Week off 7-13 October (because just once in my life I was going to take a week off just for a video game, even if it is only 20 or so hours long)

Other, smaller things to look forward to involve things like, since my budget's a bit wonky and I was going to want snacks, I baked yesterday. So now I have brownies and snickerdoodles.

Having to think about the grocery shopping a little further in advance than usual. First off, I want way more emergency calories to hand next month than I had this month. Second, I'm having my mother over to dinner at some point next month (and @noctumsolis at some point, which is even more anticipated joy, because @noctumsolis doesn't live just a few blocks down the way my mother does) and I should see what I can buy in advance and what needs to be straight-up fresh on the day. Also I need to practice that gingerbread cheesecake recipe I found.

And honestly? I need gaming snacks. A version of Silent Hill 2 that I can actually play is an Event. It's an Occasion. You don't understand. I used to watch my last ex play this one. However badly that relationship ended up, I will always remember with fondness the nights we'd curl up on the sofa with him playing creepy games and me helping with the puzzles or asking lore questions at convenient moments or just making the chainsaw noises when James was doing the chainsaw idle animation. I loved the story, I loved the whole thing. I coveted this game so hard, but even before the fibromyalgia, I never got the hang of any controller more advanced than the one for the original Nintendo Entertainment System for a couple of reasons. I tried a PC port someone put together but the controls were janky as fuck. But this one? This one was made for a PC release as well as a PS5 one. It should be fine!

(I may be thinking of the issues that the TLOU PC port had, and consoling myself by remembering that TLOU was a port well after the PS exclusive release, and some of Sony's subsidiaries - namely Guerilla - can manage ports just fine, and whatever Bloober team's problems, "can't manage a working PC version of their games" doesn't seem to be one of them, so it's going to be fiiiiiine.)

So ... yeah. Emergency calories for gaming moments. That's the big thing for October. Cold cuts, corn thins, crisps, nuts, stuff like that. Maybe soup. Well, more ingredients for me to make soup because after my own homemade potato soup, and beef stew with fresh herbs, and all that? Stuff in tins just doesn't do it anymore.

But also all the gummy sweets, because that's just a necessity. Gummy sweets, and cola, and Real Food that I don't have to interrupt what I'm doing too much to have, and yes I am doing the anticipatory thing over this because I am looking so forward to this you have no idea! And I can start it downloading on the 6th without worrying that I'm going to have issues because recommended hardware! Between a couple of new Big Games that require certain hardware specs and the whole "They stop supporting Win10 in about a year" thing, an itty-bitty bit of budgetary stress in the week before payday is a small price to pay for the peace of mind and the anticipation.

Besides, I have snickerdoodles. Nothing can be too badly wrong if I have snickerdoodles.

This is a mix of canon compliant and modern AU headcanons btw because I have lots of AU's in my wip's/idea list! Also some of these might only exist in wip's but I'm sharing them anyways

Neurodivergent (AuDHD)

Favorite way to stim is by pretending he's conducting while listening to music

Favorite candy is gummy worms. He likes the sensory experience of how chewy they are + bonus points for being fun-shaped.

Building off of the last one, his favorite foods in general are anything fun-shaped. Smiley fries. Dino chicken nuggets. Character themed macaroni and cheese. If left to his own devices would eat nothing but candy.

One of five kids. He has two older sisters and two younger brothers. When he was little his parents thought the reason he didn't act like a "normal boy"/traditionally masculine (he was very sensitive, liked music and fairy tales, didn't get into fights or play with toys meant for boys) was because he had only his older sisters as role models. But after his brothers were born and they fit easily into socially accepted gender roles, his parents started to treat him poorly and as if something was wrong with him.

Has a really complicated relationship with his own gender. Has a lot of internalized shame around who he actually is vs. who his family and friends have always expected him to be.

Likes having conversations with Baby Doll about gender :) They get along really well!

Nini gets his number from Satine and periodically sends him vaguely threatening texts about what she'll do to him if he ever so much as thinks about hurting Satine. Christian is utterly terrified of Nini. Satine has no idea this is happening.

Loves romcoms. Will cry while watching movies.

He LOVES taking baths. He loves anything that makes baths more fun, like scented bubble baths and sparkly bath bombs. It's one of his favorite date night things to take a bath with Satine.

The first time Satine takes him to a store with bath bombs, he gets so excited by how pretty everything is that he forgets it's soap and he eats some. They have to leave. (No I will not elaborate on this. The idea came to me out of nowhere and I'm putting it in a fanfic because it makes me laugh every time I think of it haha)

He loves carrying Satine around

He loves being on his knees for Satine (sexually and non-sexually)

He loves laying his head in Satine's lap while she plays with his hair

The first time he and Satine have a real fight he loses his temper and yells at her. It scares her, and Christian doesn't think he'll ever forgive himself for it no matter how many times Satine reassures him that she's okay

Christian is high-energy and very enthusiastic, but I like to imagine he calms a lot of that down around Satine, especially when she's still learning to trust him. I think after a couple of times he accidentally startles her by reaching for her too quickly he becomes a lot more careful because more than anything he wants her to feel safe around him

Out of the two of them, he's the better cook.

🎏 Is there a difference between rp and general fandom for you? Any notable differences between rp and IRL?

i'm spoiled by rp etiquette and content; peeps kinda know how to share, because....they are. idk, i don't often seek out content so much as just engage the media and wiki? a lot of that is the need to be active. i remember vocally criticizing the fact that i really don't think people should have to censor character names and shit when search went live over hashtags. like, I've had a random personal criticize a like thirstpost i made, and i kinda wish i hadn't just let it go; don't be a bitch about headcanons. fandom should be behaving in the first place, not that i blame any protection measures. entitled-ass behaviour over characters that don't real. Otherwise, I guess streaming is my experience as well? Not much noise there, but so far it's nice; course I have a nice voice, so interactions are very lovely so far!

As for irl..... Well, my friends are mostly my hubby's friends! went to school together and everything, so think anywhere from 1-7 guys hanging out. quite boisterous and clown-blood coded; honestly it's even parse-able in my own discord server.

where at my job, well, I'm greeting like hundreds of ppl a day and bullshitting w/ them or my coworkers. it's a fair bit of energy spent explaining and problem solving....going through the motions. but i do like seeing the food trends. (every candy is a gummy right now. some are mini. some are freeze dried. some are other candies!) most of my coworkers and the job is actually chill; there's probably only like, 3-5 thorns in my side vs hundreds of people behaving.... but i do hate the pacing of daytime people, early in my shift. i live in the quiet part of town and love it, the ambiance of nature and fresh air makes my days off ideal....

My Binge Prep Bag

So with how little I eat a day, I feel like a Binge episode is bound to happen. Maybe not now, Maybe not soon, Maybe not for you, but for ME I feel like it will come at some point. So I'd rather be prepared and binge on foods I feel safe and comfortable with. Foods that I have already come to terms with that if I eat in abundance, in a moment of weakness, that it will be okay. I will be okay. Rather than binging on who knows what and not even knowing about how much calories I had.

If I binge on god knows what, I will feel disgusted, I will feel ashamed, I will feel sad, I will feel disappointed, I will feel large and then I'll probably cry.

VS

This bag I have already accepted it. I will still probably feel sad and disappointed, maybe even shame, but I will take solace that I know what I am eating. That this is a CONTROLLED binged. Controlled, meaning I am not loosing.

Sweets

MaxMallow Marshmallows - 15cal for 2 - 90cal for the bag

Twinkies - 140cal for 1 - 280cal for both

For the marshmallows I've had them in the past, they are good, and sweet (they also have other flavors but I like vanilla). 12 for 90cal doesn't sound too bad for during a binge.

Sour Gummy bears, obvious if I'm craving for something sour then Im covered. Also got these to I can eat multiple bears, one a a time, thus lasting longer.

Twinkies!? Super odd food to have as a "Safe Binge Food" But both the Marshmallows and Gummy Bears are ZERO sugar. Twinkies were the lowest calorie junk food I could find (near me), that was REAL junk food. I want something with REAL sugar, cause you can only trick your body for so long with the 0cal sweeteners.

Salty

Popcorn Hot & Spicy - 25cal per cup - 270cal for bag

Veggie Straws - 220cal for the Bag

Popcorn Should be obvious low Calorie for a large bulk of food. Veggie Straw I got for how salty they are.

Meal

Chicken Salad - 70cal

Now I have this cause I didn't want just junk food, in my bag. I wanted to have real food/meal (hard to put a low calorie meal in you purse and not have it spoil though) so I have this. Im hopping that if I use the Veggie straws to eat it that it'll 1. Satisfy me and 2. Slow me down enough while Im eating to realize that I am satisfied and that I dont need to keep on eating.

Safety

Lastly the Cliff Blok Chew on here is 200cal. I keep it more for safety rather than a Binge, so if need I can eat this whenever I ever feel scared, shaky and faint.

The female bear mutualism fungmammal is called Honeybunz.

Honeybunz is a cinnamon mixed with a sticky bun bear shaped creature so a mimic that is mimicking another thing.

Harvey Blue is nice and doesn't eat people but eats normal foods and rarely eats inanimate object unless he plays his guitar or a instrument then does the smashing thing to later consume to clean up the mess.

Infected Realtor's eat human like by the lure body that travels to their house body to consume or just consume like a human would and eats the normal way by the floor or any part of the house.

His favorite dessert mostly anything but if a fan gives him a sticky or honey bun he will eat it in a area where Honeybunz isn't there because he thinks it's weird.

But Honeybunz doesn't mind and likes to eat human shaped gingerbread cookies and gummies that are human shaped.

If Hovy Guasu Óga or Harvey Blue finds out a Infected or a Non Infected Realtor infiltrated his venue to buyer hunt then he would politely ask them why they were here and where are their backstage pass are.

If they don't have a pass he will politely ask the intruder to leave and if they don't heed his warning then he will get some of his band members to rough the intruder up then toss them out while putting a banned picture of the intruder.

Each banned person gets their real name with a joke names written underneath the mugshot picture.

let's talk about han seo, hockey and his relationship with vincenzo!

disclaimer: probably more unorganized than usual lol but i had a lot of thoughts on this. feel free to add on!!

hockey has been a connection to han seo that we have seen throughout the drama. hockey is a traditionally masculine sport, and focused on team building and brotherhood between the participants. hockey is also a violent sport, often very rough on the body and rigorous. the show utilizes hockey as a symbol of masculinity, and a representation of brotherhood, especially for han seo.

from very early on, hockey sets the dynamic between the brothers: the ice is a punishment and a reminder of han seo's relationship with his brother who uses hockey as a punishment for his brother's mistakes as well as a way to let off steam. the first notable utilization of hockey was prior to jun woo's reveal as han seok. we watch as han seo explains himself to han seok and han seok repeatedly hitting the puck into his stomach when angry and unsatisfied with the answers. this is the first real relationship we see between the two brothers. han seok uses han seo as a punching bag in order to let off his anger that he feels on a day to day basis and as a reminder to han seo of his place beneath him.

we can use this scene to infer about their relationship in their childhood. Mr. Nam has mentioned that han seo was abused by his brother as a child and has gone to therapy his whole life. as a young adult, he turned to drugs and partying and it is implied that he has wound up in the police station many times. han seok has used han seo as his punching bag and han seo molded his personality and actions in order to avoid provoking his brother. han seok has constantly reminded han seo that he is beneath him, both in blood along with intelligence and stature, and in order to satisfy him, han seo leveled himself down.

it’s important to note that this is certainly not true about han seo. we have seen that han seo picks up on situations much faster than han seok thinks (gummy bear scene), but refuses to let his brother notice as it can result in more abuse. the only reason han seo comes off as a bumbling chairman is because he isn’t as “cunning” as vincenzo or jang han seok.

it's also important to note that while there have been moments of a cordial relationship between the two, it is still an abusive relationship. even after moments where han seok has shown kindness to han seo, it is no excuse for the abuse that han seo has suffered. it is also not a reason to say that han seok is caring brother despite his abuse as he does not care for han seo beyond preserving him as an escape out of jail or death.

it's safe to say that han seo has never had a real brotherly relationship neither has he had a role model in his life and it shows in the early episodes. we see han seo mimic han seok's hockey tactics and throw pucks at his advisors (idk what to call them tbh) and even force the board members to drink spicy food without water (maybe this was a way han seok punished him when he was younger). han seo mimics his brother and attempts to be like him in these episodes. that is also why he sends thugs after cha-young and vincenzo: he is attempting his brother's scare tactics but it is clear to see that han seo is not the one for strategizing and well, being a villain. furthermore, we have noticed han seok's attachment to hockey sticks and how he deals out punishment (i.e. killing the prosecutor with a hockey stick, defending himself against intruders with the hockey stick, smashing in the car window glass with hockey stick) and han seo has bound to pick up this toxic relationship with hockey, and as an extension in the way he views his relationship with his brother.

we see this change as we watch the scene where han seo and vincenzo are on the ice together. both are stood opposing each other but in the same pose and in hockey gear. this establishes them as equals as both are equipped with the same armor and the same attack sticks. both of them have an equal chance at the puck. it heavily contrasts the scene we see where we see han seok, fully in armor and equipped to attack, and han seo in the lone suit with no protection or means to attack him back. we also note that when han seo scores, we see a genuine smile on his face and as vincenzo threatens light heartedly to "come here" and makes a move towards him, he playfully skates away. this is similar to how many brother's play on the playground together as kids: competitive but never cut-throat or attempting to maim each other. we also note han seo asking from approval from vincenzo, like a little kid would from their older sibling, asking if they did good, and vincenzo responds like an older sibling with playfully underplaying their contribution. we also see vincenzo granting han seo good advice to use/train his brain and asks him about his studies, the same way an older brother checks up on a younger one.

we can note that han seo feels comfortable around vincenzo in a way we don't see with his brother. vincenzo makes a move to throw a puck in his direction when he drops honorifics but we don't see han seo flinch in the same way that he does with han seok. even when vincenzo makes moves towards him, or gets closer he doesn't flinch, he just glides back. it shows that han seo trusts Vincenzo in a way he hasn't before. he also shyly thanks him for the advice and expresses a certain love to vincenzo, beyond just the admiration that everyone has for him (aka the vincenzo effect).

of course, we see han seo skate toward vincenzo and losing control but vincenzo catches him. he is caught off guard as he is caught though which might be telling us that han seok would have never made a move to protect his brother like that. even though i've seen many people criticizes the usage of "is this love" during that sequence, i don't believe it's used mockingly like adrenaline is. "is this love" is the song used when vincenzo develops a serious relationship with someone, most notably cha-young. what this song is doing in this scene is establishing a sibling relationship between vincenzo and han seo and noting that there is a specialty to their partnership, just like how cha-young and vincenzo's relationships are special.

most importantly (and what breaks my heart), han seo asks vincenzo repeatedly whether he will kill him. while this fear is warranted as han seo has aided han seok in many ways prior to him seeing the light and teaming up with vincenzo, we also know that han seo was fearful for his life with han seok. han seo walks on a thin line with han seok and never knowing when his life was going to end at his hands. han seok continually teased him and threatened him (we can infer this from the gummy bear and "are you going to kill me like you killed our father" and when han seok held the knife to his neck). not to mention, han seo now carries a watch gifted by han seok: a reminder that han seok has control over his life. han seo is continually fearful of when his brother will murder him and take that watch as his next trophy. except this time, we can note that han seo says something along the lines "i know you won't but i can't help but feeling uneasy." it really enforces how far han seok's abuse has hurt han seo. even with reassurances, he is still fearful that his brother, or someone he views as his brother will take it away from him.

it's important to note that hockey is a sport that emphasizes team building and brotherhood also encourages a little rough housing. han seok and hockey vs. vincenzo and hockey are the two opposite ends of what hockey is supposed to be as a sport. han seok and hockey empahsize the violence, and rough nature of hockey, where han seok is using the puck and the hockey sticks as weapons to attack defenseless people (han seok, those prosecutors, that poor car and also zumba snake choi and mr. han). han seok uses it to crush down han seo instead and leaves behind the team aspect. vincenzo on the other hand focuses more on the team building and brotherhood MORE than the violence, their scenes focused more on vincenzo giving advice and building han seo up rather than crushing him and pushing him down. we see han seo actually scoring and both of them being playful with each other, building a rapport with each other.

in episode 18, we can note that han seo is acting more and more like vincenzo (like how in the earlier episodes han seo acted like his brother). when revealing his hand in han seok's demise, he acts similar to vincenzo, leaning in and explaining how he pulled the rug from underneath his feet. we also see a new kind of boldness, a fire behind his eyes we don't see before this moment when he speaks to han seok. the same sport that was used to torment han seo has provided him the support and advice he has needed to turn his life around. i believe that having a genuine support system for the very first time has provided han seo the platform to change and grow, as well as gain confidence in himself and his abilities. in episode 19 and 20 i want to see han seo and vincenzo grow together and evolve into a relationship where both are comfortable and able to give mutual support and love to each other.
