the chocobros + ravus and how often they would text/call their crush when they're away? (and an example of how their conversations would go?)

Hii! We’re aint much but we still exist!

I’ve never done a headcanon about Ravus but I promise that I’ll try my best to be in-character. :)

How often the Chocobros + Ravus call their s/o

Noctis:

Prefers text messages over phone-calls.

Probably wont answer you for hours because he’s busy af.

Gives short answers but will make sure you’re alright.

Will call you before bedtime.

He won’t talk that much because he want’s to know everything about your day.

Both of you will fall asleep on the phone.

“Nah.. you can hang up if you’re tired. I’m wide awake” *falls asleep immediately*

Prompto:

Calls you whenever he can and for some reason it’s always a FaceTime call.

Every time he calls you he’ll make sure he’s not interrupting something.

Texts you all the time.

It doesn’t matter if you even have a topic. He’d just send you some memes or tell you about his day or whenever he thinks about you.

Constantly sending you selfies.

Sends you pictures of his camera pics he took and ask’s for your opinion.

Ignis:

Would probably create a schedule for when he’s about to call you because apparently he’s really busy all the time.

He would try to make time to call you more often but it would probably not be more than 2 to 3 times a week.

Picks up the phone at every time if you call him.

Barely uses text messages except for short information exchange.

Nevertheless he would text you every night before he’s about to go to bed.

Picks up the phone immediately if you decide to call him. He tries to keep the conversation short but he want’s to make sure that you’re alright.

Gladiolus:

Constantly sending you pictures of his meals and wants to see yours as well.

Gives you a FaceTime call whenever he’s walking home. You’ll barely see his face because he’s constantly gesticulating.

Loves to send you shirtless mirror selfies.

Brightens your day by sending you random dad-jokes he saw on the newspaper.

“Hi. You alright? How’s this one?: A skeleton walks into a bar and says, 'Hey, bartender. I'll have one beer and a mop'.”

Ravus:

Always down for a long phone-call.

Want’s to know e v e r y t h i n g about your day and will tell you about his.

Tells you how much he misses you in a very passionate way.

You have to end the phone-call because he won’t.

Texts you throughout the day and ask’s what you’re doing.

He doesn’t want to be a burden to you by being too pushy, so he'll tell you to let him know when it gets to be too much for you.

FFXV headcanons / expanded canons Part The Second, because again, I desire character depth like I need it to breathe and if storebought isn't available, I will make it myself with my own two hands. Find Part The First here.

Ardyn: Listens to music solely in the cabaret genre or heavy metal; you can't change my mind on this (like you're flipping through his playlist and one moment its playing Kabaret Sybarit, then it switches violently and without warning to System of a Down and just about breaks your eardrums)

His closet rivals his living room in terms of size and depth (it's concerning; people get lost in there amongst his innumerable trench coats and ruffled shirts)

No coffee, no tea, only wine. Ravus and Verstael have to listen to his drunken rambling every other night and it is ghastly

Gossips like no other

He's a hoarder. You walk into his home and there are trinkets and baubles on every surface---it's gotten quite extreme

Has breakdowns in the shower

Has journals full of half-finished poetry lying about everywhere (he references the story of Julius Caesar and Marcus Brutus a lot because of the parallels to him and Somnus, and bc at this point he doesn't really care if he digs himself deeper into that rut of grief and anger)

Can't keep a plant alive to save his life; not even a cactus

He was a theater kid once upon a time

Luna: Actually legit super athletic. You can't really see it bc her muscles don't bulge, but she can and will judo flip a man effortlessly

Has the smallest handwriting you've ever seen

She's got mad art skills; there's a work-in-progress painting or pastel piece on her desk constantly

Certified history buff. This chick can recall the most obscure bits and details of Eos's past and will infodump to you if you're willing to listen

Actually works really hard to be a good person---it doesn't come naturally to her; she's no saint and she has to make a conscious effort to be as gentle as she is on a daily basis, and that in itself makes her an excellent human being

Names each and every one of her plants

Loves bugs and takes a thrill in the fact that they kinda gross Noct out

Has the "Hydrate or Dydrate" water bottle bc she forgets and needs to remind herself to imbibe H2O

Her Pinterest account is the stuff of legends

Ravus: He's so awkward in social situations---really, he's just awkward in general, but it's most obvious when someone's trying to talk to him and he's glaring daggers straight into their soul

Before his mother died, he was the kindest child. He was the sweetheart of the family and would make flower crowns with toddler Luna and make breakfast in the mornings for his family. When he withdrew, it pained those who knew him immensely

The Super Smash Bros grandmaster (he's horrible at Mario Kart though, which frustrates him to no end)

Already has some arthritic problems in his knuckles and in his knees. He always had bad joints, but it's getting worse with the years

A pro at calligraphy and fancy lettering

His art skills are just as good if not better than Luna's. He only works in graphite and charcoal, but his drawings are the most heartwrenchingly beautiful things you've ever seen

Can regularly be found in a museum or in a library

Plays D&D on the weekends when he can with an online party (the campaign's been going on for nearly 2 years; he plays a level 8 Drow Warlock)

Aranea: Owns a motorcycle---you can't change my mind.

Mixes grenadine with everything. Champagne? She's adding grenadine. Wine? Grenadine time baby. Tequila? Gimme that sweet pomegranate syrup.

AO3 angst fics are her guilty pleasure

Probably has a pilot's license (in all honesty if it was an irl setting instead of Final Fantasy, she probably would've been in the Airforce)

Wears cologne instead of perfume because it makes her seem more roguish and she likes the scent better

She's always wanted a pet snake (one of those white pythons curious faces and boopable snoots)

Knows her way on an aerial silk like nobody's business

✧ Ardyn wouldn’t never shame you for being touch starved, especially if he knows the reasons as to why.

Hell, he’s a bit touch starved too after everything he’s been through as well.

So you’ll both have your moments of needing extra attention, it’s just Ardyn has learned to hide it more and suppress it.

✧ If you’re having a day where it is particularly bad, Ardyn will do his best to try and comfort you through it.

Like telling you that everything is going to be alright, cuddling, just making sure that he’s near you until he sees that you’re alright.

I can see Ardyn reading as he has his arm wrapped around you while you’re also doing your own thing.

He’ll make sure you have moments like that with him. No matter the time of day.

✧ Now with the clinginess, he really understands, but he tries to slowly get you out of that habit.

He has to travel a lot and he doesn’t want you having a near breakdown when he isn’t there.

Ardyn won’t do anything big at first, just small things to slowly become less clingy.

It’s not that he finds it annoying, he just overly worried and wants to make sure you’re alright.

And Ardyn definitely has his moments where he can be clingy, but again, he hasn’t experienced love in so long so he can sometimes get a tad bit carried away.

But you two are definitely in it together!

✧ Even though he’s the villain, Ardyn used to be good guy, and he had a lover of his own. So I can see him being great at comforting when he needs to be.

And like I said before, he has his own issues so there’ll be times where you’ll have to help him out too.

You both can be a clingy mess on bad days.

But I guess it actually works out a bit.

✧ Overall, you both help each other through the problems you have, each having a reason as to why you have them.

And he’ll always be there for when you need him, just like you’ll be there for him too!

So you two really balance one another out.

✧ Because of losing his parents at a young age and the empire taking over his kingdom, Ravus is also very touch starved and clingy to those he really cares about.

So the both of you can also be a very clingy mess.

And like Ardyn, he’d hide it. But that is also because he kind of has to do to the empire.

But he’ll do his best to help you. When he has the time of course.

✧ He can definitely relate to how you feel so he can get an idea on what to do and how to help, even if it’s just sitting in each other’s company on a couch.

Ravus wouldn’t mind something like that at all

In fact, he’ll even try to set aside time so you two can have moments like these.

But that’s only when you two have known each other for a while and you’re deep in a relationship.

He unfortunately has an image he has to uphold.

✧ There are days where the two of you can just spend hours doing nothing but sitting in silence, but you’re both content with it.

Sometimes it’s all about the presence and not the talking.

Ravus understands that a lot and relishes in moments like that.

Unfortunately they just don’t happen often enough.

But he tries to make time for them to happen.

✧ Like with Ardyn too, Ravus has days where it’s harder to mask so you’ll have to help him.

Which you never mind, you’ll definitely give him the same love and curtesy that he’s given you all those other times.

Even if he denies that he needs it.

He’ll soften up if he sees cuddling or any form of hugging is going to be involved.

Ravus definitely returns the favor for you as well. Almost immediately too.

✧ Out of the three, Gladio is not as touch starved, but he does do his damndest to make sure you know you’re loved and all that.

He may not be all too good with words, but his actions are louder!

Much louder.

✧ If you have bad days where things are worse, Gladio will offer to go out and do something in each other’s company.

Even if it’s something like working out or going to his favorite ramen shop.

He is also someone who wouldn’t mind just sitting down with a good book while you either read or do whatever you want near him.

Actions are definitely easier for him to handle.

✧ You might’ve had to explain a little bit about how you are and why, but he understands.

I feel like he has a harder time with emotional things and tries to tackle the problem head on, which can be good, sometimes.

But he quickly learns that this is not something that can be dealt with so easily.

He means well, but he can be a himbo at times.

✧ There are times he has seemed a tad bit insensitive, but it has always been a misunderstanding and he means well.

Again, emotions are not his strong suit so you’ll have to be patient with him.

Gladio will definitely to his best to make you feel content and loved in the best ways he knows how.

If he has more scenes he will be the Artorias of FFXV'' I don't play Dark Souls but I knows a little of Artorias so my question is... What's your opinion about that comment?#GiveRavusmorescenesplease

Oooh, that is a really cool comparison, actually! Funny that you bring up Artorias, because he’s one of my favorite Soulsborne icons across the FromSoft games. Have a little figurine and everything that I love and cherish. 

I can see a lot of similarities between the two of them overall, but contrary to thought... Artorias only had, like, 40 seconds of screentime. But the major difference is that you got a crap ton of lore hidden throughout Dark Souls – something that Final Fantasy XVI should have done to really cover its bases when it comes to plot holes. I definitely would have made me log another 20+ hours into the game just meandering to find little juicy secrets and lore pieces hidden within items and locale details, you know? 

But I digress. The similarities between Artorias the Abysswalker and Ravus Nox Fleuret the High Commander Butthead, is kinda cool! Both are knights who are badasses with a single sword, both like dogs, both turn into gooey abyss boys, both get wrecked by the MC after they wrecked you seven-hundred times (no? Just me?) --- the list of similarities goes on! 

Okay, I joke a lot when I simplify it, but legit – the deep dive into the lore of these two is rad, so the comment really does hold up a little bit: 

Both were, of course, knights and soldiers. But both also have groups that, in a way, serve/follow them – with Artorias commanding Gywn’s army before eventually inspiring the Abyss Watchers and Ravus eventually leading the Niflheim army. Artorias may have had a much more pleasant group of supporters, but Ravus too had his own influence as time passed. 

Both wield the power of darkness on their side due to some aspect of corruption to them when they fight – before they turn fully corrupted, that is. Artorias's sword is cursed by the Abyss after travelling in and out of it. Meanwhile, Ravus’s arm is supposedly corrupted, as it’s realized that Magitek stems from Daemon power and scourge magic essentially. 

Speaking of arms... Both have crippled LEFT arm. Ravus of course had his burned by the Ring of Lucii and Artorias had his broken when trying to protect Sif from the creatures of the Abyss after being defeated by Manus. It’s why you see Artorias in his signature fighting stance – as he used to wield the Cleaning Greatshield before that. 

They both have some sort of closely associated canine companion – with Artorias having Sif and Ravus having Pryna and Umbra (to a degree). 

Both ultimately succumb to the darkness/abyss at some point, and yet both were still recognized as heroes after their death. Artorias was killed by the Chosen Undead after becoming fully corrupted, but he was still honored as a hero by most – enough to allow the Abyss Watchers to use him as their inspiration of sorts. Meanwhile after Ravus’s death, Noctis and the others found themselves with a great deal of respect for Ravus – especially when knowing he was attempting to help Noctis and the others before he was ultimately killed. 

In general, I think Artorias’s lore in Dark Souls is fantastic. And when you compare Ravus to it, it’s rather interesting to see overall. So yes! I can’t help but nod with that comment and go ‘Yeah... That sounds aight.’ -u-

The Habits and Mannerisms of Ravus Nox Fleuret, Part One

Ravus Headcanons about control, emotions and general snarky-ness

This is going to be a long post so I’m putting a cut to save your dashboards from the Ravus overload. I really want to squish his cheeks for some reason, though that probably won’t bid well for me, haha! 

This one is also for @ravus-week too. :) Please take a visit over and see all the lovely content for our dear prince of Tenebrae. He deserves more love. 

Ravus doesn’t feel cold. He overheard one of the officers in Gralea joking that it’s because his heart is already cold. But that is not the case.

The lord of Tenebrae grew up surrounded by cold gales and nightly wind storms. Fenestala Manor is high up above the rest of Tenebrae and the temperature is too cold. He’s grown used to it.

He doesn’t mind embracing V when she feels cold and she always does. He finds it as an excuse to cuddle.

Despite his want of affection from his lover, and gentle hugs from his sister, Ravus Nox Fleuret hates to be touched. 

One would not be surprised to hear a curt ‘Don’t you lay your grubby hands on me!’ if someone decides to touch his hands or his hair. He’s very protective of his personal space.

He has a habit of ignoring people’s eyes, too. He doesn’t like to be stared at, and most definitely hates it when he catches them doing so intentionally. He won’t stop himself from being snarky about it.

Scowls, glares, spiteful side-glances, Ravus Nox Fleuret is the master of them all.

As an imperial commander, it falls unto Ravus’ shoulders to train his subordinates. He’s merciless both in training and in the battlefield. He doesn’t hesitate to dismiss anyone who doesn’t put an effort into anything.

Ravus ignores every woman and man who sidles up next to him. And they hate him for it. He’s turned down everyone who asks him on a date or asks for any suggestive sexual favors. To him, there is only one person for him, and that is his lover.

People are afraid to enter his private office for a report because the snarky imperial commander doesn’t shy away from shouting and general heartlessness. 

He doesn’t hold his tongue either. He tends to be rather ruthless with his words, using insulting words if necessary. He does this expertly though, hiding his ruthlessness behind his sarcasm. 

He’s a completely different person when he’s within Imperial presence. It’s his way of raising his defenses. He’s survived because of this, along with his cunning and strength.

His hand always finds the sword his father gave him, his fingers curling around the handle absent-mindedly.

If someone dares to lift a sword against him, expect a quick parry. He’s trained with the empire for years and before that he trained extensively with his father, Sonus, and with his lover, V. He’s got quick reflexes. Try throwing even just a paper ball at him, he’d duck straight away. Though whoever throws that will have to face dire consequences. Lord Ravus hates to be made fun of.

Ravus is an emotional man. He tries his best to hide it and with success, too. Yet those who are dear to him know that his cold facade is just a cover up. 

Given this, his emotional outbursts are intense. One must be made of sturdy mettle just to be able to witness him at his rampage. Despite this, however, he never resorts to hurting anyone even though his rage has taken a violent emotional turn.

His emotions are never at a middle-ground. It’s always either extremely soft and vulnerable or an earth-shattering intensity. It’s a wonder how he can keep his composure. When he’s very much vexed and would want to punch somebody in the face if he can, he’d try to stop himself, except if it’s Noctis or Ardyn. But then, he won’t do that, of course. He’s a proper lord. Unless he deems it necessary, however.

If it’s an enemy however, they must be prepared to dig their own grave and hide, because Ravus would be merciless.

He’s very honest and won’t stop himself from speaking what is on his mind, even though he knows it can hurt. He puts absolute trust in his loved ones that they know he doesn’t mean any harm. 

This gif makes me laugh! I’ve written a post where Ravus eats all of the lemon madeleines during his tea time with Lunafreya and Queen Sylva. This fits it so well! Link to the story is at the end of the post.

He can be quite controlling at times. He never does it for harm though. He expects perfection from every one he adores. But most of all, he wants to control his life. 

Speaking of control, V knows how things will always go inside their private room. And it doesn’t mean she’s the one in control. A needy Ravus is an intense Ravus. So when Ravus goes home to Tenebrae for his vacation, expect the next few nights (or days) to be *ahem* quite sleepless.

The lord of Tenebrae hates it if a decision has been made without his knowing. He lets the others decide, but he wants to be in on it too. After all, for Ravus, communication is key.

Table manners for Ravus are a must. He’s one of those people who would judge anyone’s character just by their table manners.

He eats with an air of royalty and always conducts himself properly around everyone. Please don’t chew loudly. It irritates him to no end.

Ravus has a habit of apprehending people who disobey rules and instructions. Be it a soldier or an officer in Niflheim, a Tenebraen retainer or even Umbra and Pryna, nobody escapes his scoldings. 

Lunafreya usually gets scolded by her older brother, not because of any bad habits, but for pushing herself too far too much. He hates seeing her getting weaker by the day. Noctis, to him, does not deserve his sister’s suffering. 

Ravus apprehends V for swearing. She’s grown accustomed to living alone and accompanying men bigger than her on hunts that she’s picked up a few bad habits. Being a man of etiquette, Ravus sees this as his duty to straighten out his lover’s unruly behavior. Of course, he lets her slip a few curses here and there, but if he catches her on her own and cursing a table for stabbing her toe, he’ll have none of it. He loves her nonetheless. He thinks it’s amusing to find a woman both so feminine and masculine at the same time. 

Ravus is very meticulous about his surroundings, particularly his study and bedroom. 

His bedroom must always have matching bedsheets and blankets. Also, there should be no dust or else Ravus would turn into a sneezing mess, and no one wants to see him with watery eyes and sniffles. Although V thinks he’s quite cute when he has his allergies. He becomes extremely childlike, basking in V’s efforts in trying to make him feel better. 

His bathroom should be spic and span. No hair on the drain, please. 

There are no particular scents in his bedroom except for the natural scent of flowers coming from outside. He likes to relax surrounded by the perfume-like scent.

He hates it when people leave a mess in his study, or when they rearrange his books. Speaking of books, he keeps them in alphabetical order and by genre. If Ravus was not a prince, he’d either be a librarian, a naturalist, a healer or a scholar...with a penchant for sword wielding.

I think I’ve gone overboard again. Ravus might accuse me of over-sharing, to which I admit I am very much guilty of. I suppose I am going to have to cut it here again and proceed to put the rest in another post. Can’t help writing long things, to be frank. I hope to write posts with as much sacrosanct words as possible. I do hope you don’t mind me posting such long posts.

Gladiolus likes to lift you by your waist and holds you close to his chest with your legs wrapped around his upper body. It's his version of a bear hug, and the more fun he has lifting you off the ground. 

He enjoys teasing you with neck kisses, especially when you squeal. The intensity of the kiss depends on where you are - if you two are alone, expect a neck kiss that will send a shiver through your body. 

Ignis loves to wrap his arms around you and hold you as close to his body as possible. If you are short, he likes it when you nuzzle your face in his chest. 

He likes to place long kisses on your forehead. Lip kisses are fun, but forehead kisses hold a deeper meaning for him. 

Cor's favorite is giving you a front hug with one arm wrapped around your waist and the other hand resting on the back of your head with your face buried in his chest or neck.

He likes giving you kisses on the top of your head. It's an endearing jester for him.  

Prompt loves...LOVES bear hugs. He will glomp you and not let go until you say, "I can't breathe". If the two of you are alone and there is a bed behind you, he will tackle hug you onto the bed. Why? Because Prompt. 

He likes to place playful kisses on the tip of your nose, especially when you say or do something cute. 

Nyx likes to surprise you with a back hug, his arms wrapped around your waist. He also places his chin on the top of your shoulder or your head, depending on your height. 

He loves to give playful lip kisses, especially when you least expect them. The moment he starts giving these kisses, know that he is not going to stop. You may or may not have to find a private place. 

Ravus likes to wrap his arms around your waist and hold you close while you encircle your arms around his neck. The cherry on top is staring into each other eyes. He can be quite the romantic man when the two of you are alone. 

He enjoys placing gentle kisses on the back of your hands. He is a prince, after all, and a kiss to the back of the hand is his way of showing love and respect.

Gladnis story where they had an unspoken agreement before they left Insomnia and they both just sort of understood that they were meant to be together, that ultimately they would be a couple, but for now Noct comes first. they're both married to their work (didn't one of the writers confirm that part was true?).

And after Insomnia falls, they're all devastated and grieving. Prompto is so empathetic he's sick with worry for everyone he left behind. Gladio hears that the king is dead and is torn between comforting his little brother/charge/friend Noctis and the unspoken, devastating truth that if the king is gone so is his own father. Noct can only think that his father lied, his father promised his father is dead. Ignis has now watched both his birthplace and the home he fled to be destroyed. and for a while they just do their best to cope with the loss of their past and their families.

Then they get to Altissia, surrounded by reminders that Lunoct were meant to be married - wanted to be married. And they've lost that future too.

And Ignis is the first to realize that this means Noct will never get to settle down. They now have to face a lifetime of fighting the war their parents died in.

And he hates, a little bit, that he's also selfishly grieving for the fact that he will never get his future with Gladio. They'll never get to be married, never get to devote themselves to each other with backup to guard Noct in relative peace.

If it comes up with Gladio it won't be in Noct's presence because Ignis would never want him to shoulder any guilt for something that isn't at all his doing. Gladio would admit to being angry about it too with no target, would tell him he doesn't have to feel selfish for grieving the loss of the one thing they thought they would have to themselves in the future.

And then Episode Ignis happens and their world is shattered again, and I honestly believe that Ignis told Gladio the truth about that vision before the Long Night although I haven't pinpointed exactly when.

They break up during the Long Night, when Ignis insists on continuing to be a hunter.

Gladio insists he's lost enough family already and he can't stand watching Ignis risk his life.

Prompto feels like a child of divorce.

But because I'm not about bad endings, twist because Ravus wasn't a fucking idiot who went to TELL the Empire he was deserting them, and instead went home and delivered the Sword of the Father in Tenebrae. (if I wrote this we would feature game mechanic Phoenix Down to return Luna as well and have a sibling reunion here.)

Thanks to Ravus being a bitch who is willing to argue with gods, Noct lives (his life price being spread across his retinue, the Nox Fleurets, and Cor because Cor is canonically immortal apparently??) and with Ardyn and the Empire gone, Gladnis start rebuilding what they had. But this time, they don't wait.

Noctis and Prompto are the most comfortable around each other , so during important meetings and events, both have to be placed on a gag order of not being around one another, else it will turn into the duo snickering and laughing or as Ignis once stated “Partake in school girl gossip”

Prompto shares social anxiety with Noctis on a huge level, but when the duo are together, Prompto’s anxiety is overridden to make sure that his friend is more comfortable than himself.

Gladiolus sleeps with a crazy amount of pillows, every year he some how gets more, but there’s never more than six on his bed at a time. No one has seen him throw one out, but can’t find the other ones. Iris assumes he eats them in his sleep.

Ignis prefers not to curse, he always believes that there are better ways to explain a situation or get your point across. Yet sometimes the only way to describe a person is to call them an “Asshole”

You can tell when Lunafreya gets tired because she will often repeat the same question, if she repeats it five times she’s no longer paying attention or taking in information and needs a nap.

Ravus likes cats and has many cats roam his office building to “assist with the mice”. Lunafreya once bought up the similarity between him and Noctis the only thing he could respond was “Even fools know something good when they find it”

Regis states that he has taken pride in only three defeats in his life, a sparing back between Clarus and Cor, and his heart to his wife Auela.

When Clarus was told the funfact about “Adults picking up their child for the final time before they became to big”, Clarus lifted his daughter up, and then proceeded to lift Gladiolus. He does this once a year to prove that he can and will always be there to support his children.

When Gladiolus got the scar across his eye, Iris, wanting to make her older brother felt better, loosen some of the threads in a few of his workout shirts, so that when he flexed in the mirror the seams popped, raising his self esteem.

Cor has been known to take in information when asleep, it horrifies everyone around him. The only time it doesn’t work is when he’s been awake for more than 48 hours.

3 headcanons for your favorite ffxv ship! (is it fleurentia?)

Hello there, friendo! :D

Ah hah! So actually, my most favorite ship isn’t Fleurentia, but they're, like, top five amongst the overwhelming amount of ships a folk like me can enjoy. I love the super romantic tropes that you can have for the two of them – especially when they’re all sorts of fun in terms of dynamics: enemies to lovers, undying loyalties to the things they cherish, bromance, etc. The list can go on because the two can be so passionate but also so goofy, depending on the context. They're a really fun duo, and Episode Ignis made them even more lovely together too. 

But since you mentioned Fleurentia though, here are some headcanons and thoughts for them! A little bit more written out, but who doesn't like overthinking their thoughts? c:

Although Ignis acknowledges himself full and well as a servant to Noctis just as much as he is a friend, Ravus still is surprised that Ignis doesn't hail from a royal family. The way that he holds himself fascinates Ravus, as bloodlines, fate, and lineages was something engrained into him since the very beginning. Ignis, however, defies the very definition of it all -- which earns respect from Ravus. And respect is not often given by Ravus unless someone is truly worthy of it. And with respect comes a bond that will only grow stronger as time passes, and Ravus found himself always watching Ignis with a look of admiration and fascination by the retainer's efforts.

Ignis has been trained from the get-go to know how to take care of Noctis, as it is the duty of the prince's retainers to do so. But that means Ignis is very good at reading people -- even someone as stoic as the High Commander. Every subtly in Ravus's demeanor doesn't go unnoticed by Ignis, to where even the slightest twitch of Ravus's lips can be caught by Ignis's sharp eyes. I would always surprise Ravus when Ignis brings the commander's emotions to attention -- for even Ravus didn't comprehend his thoughts in the moment. Ignis is among one of the rare few able to see past Ravus's feigned apathy, and that's a skill that Ignis takes value in.

That is... Until you know, he CAN'T see anymore. When Ignis lost his eyesight during the events in Altissia, it was much harder for Ignis to read the commander, whom sometimes wouldn't say anything at all and be a lurking shadow in the blurred darkness. But even though Ignis's vision was lacking, Ravus make sure that Ignis and his keen observation skills had something else to focus on -- little touches and quiet sounds that only Ignis could pick-up on. The sound of heavy and paced steps that echo on tile as they approach. Metal brushing over the back of his hand, light and gentle as a feather. The soft exhale that Ravus releases reminds Ignis that even though he can't see the admiration in Ravus's eyes, he can hear it. And even though their voices aren't heard in each others' presences, Ignis and Ravus's bond can transcend that of words.

Ravus takes forever to text since he doesn’t use abbreviations or chat speak, neither does he make use of emojis (unless he’s making fun of people who do).

He is more accustomed to writing letters and has excellent calligraphy skills, as well as neat handwriting.
