Really is fun how in other Dragon Age games bi companions were often written to not talk about past same-sex relationships (sometimes unless they’re being romanced in a Gay way (see for example: Anders discussing Karl)), while in Veilguard I’ve gotten banter from nearly every single companion about their past gay loves.

Frequent reminders that they’re not “Playersexual,” but textually and canonically queer!! It’s refreshing.

I saw a poll where it shows most ORV Fans headcanon Dokja and Sangah as platonic friends only and that's good and all. You do you. But I suggest taking out your platonic posts outside of the Doksang ship name tag if you do not mean to ship them romantically.

Ship names always mean romantic in every fandom for decades including East Asian fandoms. If you talk about a couple being the best of friends under their ship name, you're not respecting fandom etiquette. This also makes it harder for shippers to find each other if the ship is a rare pair so it's just frustrating for all of us.

You don't want anti shippers to talk about your yaoi or yuri ships loving each other platonically under their ship tag, right? Don't do that for other shippers then. Some of us (me) like all Dokja ships as romantic and don't want to see any of those ships being called platonic right under their ship name.

If you want to talk about platonic dynamics, use "Character & Character" tag instead or just names like on ao3 to indicate no romance. (If you know how to use tumblr, you have to kmow how to use ao3)

need people to understand that buck calling himself an "ally" after being kissed by tommy is a very normal reaction for someone who's gone 30+ years of his life thinking he's only interested in women. while it is clear to the viewers that there's chemistry between buck and other men that blur the line between platonic and romantic, buck himself is just getting there. he's never been with a man like that, he's never had thoughts of being kissed by a man (as far as canon has indicated, but we'll probably see if i'm right or wrong later on), and he's never been on a date with a man. this is all new for him and i'm sure he finds tommy attractive because he is, but he's also experienced in the gay dating world and that scares buck too. it's new and scary but he's not.. against it. not for other people and not for himself. he went to that date, he spent time with tommy and ate with him. he wants whatever he's putting himself into, even if it's all new territory for him.

gender and sexuality is weird because I'll say I'm queer , gnc/masc transsexual and that is my identity but if someone insists on a deeper level of identity (this has happened and will continue to happen) I'll say I'm an aroace bisexual and bigender. but then that brings on more questions like 'how can you be aroace if you have a partner? doesn't that mean your not bisexual?? how can you be bigender and only use he/him and neopronouns?'

its just weird to think that I have to have a deeper set of labels for people who think 'gueer trans guy' isn't enough for them, and then question my labels.
