I fucking love romancing Emmrich as a non-Mourn Watch Rook. I love it I LOVE it!

I've done both routes and I enjoyed the meeting of minds you get in the special MW dialogue options but the JOY of watching Emmrich experience love from outside his own secluded circle is unmatched.

Of course a fellow Mourn Watcher would match his freak, of course they'd get necromancy of course they'd love wisps and the necropolis of course.

But he spends so much energy defending it all to the rest of the team early on, because outside of Nevarra it is taboo.

They don't know if they can trust the necromancer

They side-eye his skulls

But then there's Rook. An outsider respectful of the tableaus, charmed by wisps and friendly with Manfred. They compliment his control and passion. They're impressed, rather than suspicious. He doesn't have to defend himself to Rook and how unexpected...

Rook as a person with no previous experience with Nevarra looks through the taboo and the superstition and the preconceived notions and sees Emmrich. Sees his passion. And loves every piece.

Im just thinking about how the M/C name is YUU. In the manga, im pretty sure that the Yuu is based on the dorm leaders, like how the yuu in azul's chapter represents the old him. Its like a mirror them but happier. Coz when MC introduces themselves is like "Hi i am Yuu" its like saying i am the version of you. What you could've been if you didn't experience the trauma you had or smt. Idk if that made sense i dont know how to explain well im sorry 😭😭

You can only get the Dead End in Day 4 by staying at Ren's apartment — the rest of your choices before that don't matter. I'd also pay closer attention to the black smoke and Ren's reaction towards it!

Ren disappears from the home screen because he promised to help the player out (and stop them from getting the Dead End again). Try replaying the game again from the beginning for a surprise!

"Unsent Memories" was another visual novel (initially being written by @10chimes / @unsentmemory, though the project has since been dropped and handed back to me /pos) and is set in the same universe as 14 Days With You. Its storyline and characters are completely separate from 14DWY, so you don't have to worry about them while playing 14DWY.

Dragon with a metal as fuck (literally) prosthetic wing!!

More Prosper content :D I feel an indescribable amount of love for this dragon. And the cool ass wing designs I can give her.

Even though the entire concept of this prosthetic functioning is quite literally impossible, I still put some actual thought into the design’s fictional functionality (hey that was alliteration).

The wing is piloted with a rod that is connected to her remaining organic wing that synchronises the movements (think Toothless’ automatic tailfin). The fingers of the wing are connected together at the top and don’t all independently move, it’s based on a rig that is controlled by the very outer finger. If that one is half folded in the other 5 fingers will correspond with that, if it is fully extended the other five will correspond with that etc etc. The fact that her wings have to by synchronised is by no means easy to operate. She cannot do most basic manoeuvres in the air, even turning to the left/right whilst in flight is extremely dependant on her secondary hip wings and her tail fins. It is nowhere near having a real, attached to her body wing, but it still gives her the ability to fly again. And long distance flying is still a pain in the ass because the massive scars all along the right side of her body get irritated after a while.

A lot of the thought behind the design came from how odd it felt that httyd 3 just… got rid of Toothless’ disability? Like yeah he was still missing a tail fin but it might as well just have grown back. He has a new, fully functional, doesn’t need to be taken off, apparently doesn’t even need maintenance, fire proof and extremely durable prosthetic that just allowed him to function as if he wasn’t disabled? In the Viking age as well?? Even in the modern day we don’t have prosthetics that can fully restore permanent, none skin irritating, doesn’t need to be fixed up ‘replacement’ limbs. Yes there are some very high quality prosthetic limbs that can restore a lot of functionality and give a very good quality of life, but it is not a new limb. It’s a prosthetic. It doesn’t change the fact that there is a missing body part. It doesn’t completely replace every single functionality of a real limb? The film just entirely disregarded that fact that Toothless had a disability. Just slap a technologically impossible bit of gear work on his tail and BOOM he’s fixed. No that’s not how that works you fucking idiot 😭 His skin would get irritated, the fin would eventually need to be repaired because again IT WAS THE MEDIEVAL ERA. I know Hiccup was smart but girl he was not smart enough to invent an indestructible replacement body part. We can’t do that in 2024, let alone 1000 or whenever the fuck httyd is set.

Anyway going off that rant, whilst Prosper does regain the ability to fly, it is very limited, not for long periods of time and kind of painful. Because that’s what happens when you get a whole ass limb torn from your body. It tends to hurt and not be ‘fixable.’

random thing i noticed while going through the character bios again: wally's bio now gives information about how his puppet was handled

there isn't any kind of sneaky wording here that would imply he was operated different from the others either, as frank is described the exact same way in his bio.

if it's true that wally WAS in fact puppeteered by someone and wasn't running around the studio by himself like some horrible gay homunculus, he was most likely puppeteered by ronald dorlaine, the creator of welcome home. wally is kind of the "kermit" of welcome home, and kermit was puppeteered by jim henson until his death in 1990. kermit was also referred to as henson's "alter ego" at times, his co-stars saying that it became hard to tell where kermit ended and henson started at times.

i think clown's mentioned the relationship between a puppet and their puppeteers being a topic explored in welcome home at some point (one of these mentions was pre-overhaul, so i'm not sure if it's still true), and has stated that there are going to be more human characters introduced. and since welcome home takes a lot of inspiration from the history of the muppets (and is why we need more horror media written by people really autistic about the topic covered), and "dorlaine" sounds so similar to "darling", it's possible wally may have been ronald dorlaine's "alter ego" in the same way that kermit was for jim henson.

CBS Ghosts is my new guilty pleasure so take my new OCs. The Blanchet family were distant French cousins of the Woodstones who visited the house in the early 1900s, only for a violent house robbery to take the life of their youngest daughter, Mercedes, and her loyal self appointed guard dog, Horse. Only 8 years old, it takes some time for Mercedes to understand her fate, and for some time she’d be very distressed that her family seem to be ignoring her. On the bright side, the other ghosts are there to try and make things easier, though the misfit collective have a hard time caring for a child given their circumstances, and conflicting ideas on how best to raise a little girl.

Of all the ghosts, she is closest with Thorfinn. He has a soft spot for the little girl.

Possible names for him and explanations for them:

-Bug -Like a computer bug (I also think it's funny to give a cute name to a guy who is angry/violent lol)

-Snafu -"a confused or chaotic state; a mess." "in utter confusion or chaos." "throw (a situation) into chaos." Those are the descriptions for the word, and I feel it fits really well in terms of what it means. (I also think the word itself is funny, so like the name Bug, I think its funny for a violent character to have a goofy name)

-Lapse -I thought of this as 'time-lapse', like maybe him taking some sort of photos to show progress of himself destroying aus. Since he is a very task based guy I feel like he'd like to see that sort of stuff. Could also be the saying "lapse in judgement", since he is also prone to brash behavior.

-Breach -Like "Breach containment" Either that be referring to the CORE, or the Anti-Void. Or could be seen as him breaching an au to destroy it. Or Breaching the code.

I would do a poll to decide the name, but the thing is I am so unsure of the outcome. I also feel like people would vote on the before reading the reason behind each name, some may not even read it at all and just vote at random. But it would be nice to know other's opinions if you've read this far feel free to drop a comment about it lol

Folks should be mindful when engaging with Black creator's OCs through appreciation type stuff (gifts of fanart/fanfic/etc).

If you're unsure if you're capturing the essence/appearance/personality of their OC, ASK!

I understand wanting to surprise a creator with a gift because you want to show your appreciation for their OC. But that gift is harmful when the creator sees you've whitewashed their OC or applied stereotypes or tropes that aren't a part of the character.
