So maybe this is just me but talking about my solo interests sucks bc people (irl) don’t care. So I want a safe space for people to talk about stuff they like without guilt and fear of judgement. That’s why I have an ask box. If you ever want to talk about something you like I’ll listen. If you have problems I’ll be there to give advice if you want it or even just fucking listen.

Anon Opinion: I feel like you want to help people in need, but you yourself need help as well. Also, helping the people you want to help is above your capability. (Me honestly so I could just be projecting-)

I love helping people in need. I often get the statement that I am motherly or like some weird psychic because I can get people to open up to me quickly.

I tend to sacrifice my feelings and desires to help those around me because I hate to see a sad face or make someone uncomfortable. Close friends often tell me that I need to start putting myself above others.

I feel like a lot of people in the age range of 18-25 now have this issue; we all were kinda raised a specific way or with specific bad events that made us hyper-aware of others' feelings and emotions, so we try really hard to fight for the right things!

I appreciate the honesty, Anon! Thank you! Remember, you are loved, too, and if you ever need a place to rant, you and anyone else are more than welcome to rant to me! Sometimes, we just need a listening ear, even if that ear is a random stranger halfway around the world or country!

as a kid in hs, my teacher literally came up to me, holding my 40 page essay on the intersection of the European witch hunts and capitalism/exploitation/gender roles (it was supposed to be 7 pages...whoops) and went like "this is literally a master's-degree level thesis. what are you doing?? you could literally use this as your final dissertation in a master's program, what the fuck."
