Heads up! There is going to be a very long and detailed post about making sausages dropping in a few hours.
It's got a big red content warning and a readmore, so nothing is going to get gruesomely dropped on you, but make sure you add "butchery" or "cw butchery" to your tag filters to be extra safe if the idea of processing animal carcasses is upsetting to you!
It also has an image of sausage casings before they're scraped. I tried to whack the post with as many CWs as I can think of but I'd recommend "cw meat" or "cw organs" if you need them.

I think someone should just throw all of the BG3 companions into Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Just take the post-canon generally considered "good" endings and throw em in there.
Why? Because it would be hilarious to me and also that's like the one official module that goes up to level 20.
I won't lie and say the only thing I can think of is the team trying to kill an angry mechanical purple worm while screeching at Gale because "what do you mean we're in Waterdeep and you know the bastard who owns this death trap?? I was perfectly alright in the damn Underdark thank you very much I did not sign up for this"

So I did a thing again, and it has led to me creating a silly little Au for Sally Face (again)
All the context I wanna give is that it’s called The Mind Electric Au, it mainly focuses on Travis, and that this Au came to me in a vision when listening to The Mind Electric (hence why that’s the current name for this Au, idk if I’m gonna change it later)

…would it be helpful for anyone if I compiled all my notes/references for armor/appendages + clothing?
i’m mostly thinkin abt this from th perspective of a LotR fanfic author bc while we can find a ton of good visual references they’re also 1) costumes meant for actors, not actual practicality and 2) th visual references don’t generally have accurate names
#th amount of times I’ve seen a tabard and surcoat confused in general drives me up th fuckin wall too lol#and it kinda hit me that like#That’s Right. The Autism#gently clasping your hand let me break down gilets vs jerkins vs doublets#and tabards vs surcoats#I’d be happy to just do it for specific characters too#I kinda wanna take a closer look at Faramir’s ranger garb bc he’s in what looks like a double-layered gambeson and then a short surcoat#under his jerkin?????#hes got a LOT of padding on his chest if I’m correct abt that#which I do wonder about? again obvs you have to look at it from a perspective of ‘this looked cool on screen’#also Faramir having full vambraces instead of just bracers.#which holds true for all of his rangers from what I can see. which is an interesting choice! but it does raise a fun point in that like.#that specific vambrace design seems to be specific to the southern rangers#which means Boromir was wearing ranger vambraces#and that very specific design of having a fully-closed under layer would be for protecting your arm from a bowstring#so Boromir very much does not Need that layer. he doesn’t use a bow#I’m gonna. I’m gonna sit down. Boromir wearing rangers’ vambraces to Rivendell. wailing
