Day 4: (Free) Union

"Union: joining or being joined"

My ranger and druid don't uphold a traditional wedding with vows, they perform a very symbolic celtic hand tying ritual that involves binding the pairs hands together to represent their commitment.

Blue: fidelity, strength, longevity.

Lavender: cleansing and spiritual healing

Yellow: symbolic of the sun and light.

Other symbols in the photo: The pink lotus to tie back to Espio. The fur cloak to tie back to Silver.

#lotr #boromir #tbh i think id actually have a good time chatting w a boromir hater if they knew and understood the material but still hated him #cuz most people who dislike this man do because of very shallow reasons #'he was upset looking down at narsil' one can only wonder why that has baggage for a gondorian and the stewards son #'he didnt accept aragorn at first' yea i bet when a dirty ass ranger claims the throne of a kingdom without having lived there #when your fam took care of it for several generations it doesnt feel super great and you Might be a bit upset and worried about it #'he tried to take the ring from frodo' despite disagreeing w the councils decision he still earnestly followed them to destroy the ring #and he only fell after weeks of traveling as the ring whispered to him threats of destruction #one that unlike the rest of the fellowship was already Actively happening and had been happening for a long time #you see ur cities fall and people die everyday as the 1st line of defense against ultimate evil and we tell you not to use a perfect weapon #while said weapon tells you yes it will fix everything just grab it go on boy #and echoes words your father has been pushing onto you all throughout #it feels like people just have no sympathy compassion or understanding for all he's gone through or for the power of the ring #deep breath. im ok #im normal about boromir and my heart doesnt shatter at every rewatch of his death #id have followed you my steward.

.....so the hoenn rangers coexistence force that you see in ORAS, yeah? that show that sort of got abandoned in popularity? it's clearly based on the super sentai series(es)?

and I was thinking oh yeah, cool, so something based on that would have like 30-35 seasons max, probably 20 episodes per?

...it's about 45 series with about 50 episodes each, about 20 minutes each. so for gene to get through 8 seasons in 3 weeks...

400 episodes divided by 1 hour/3 episodes = 133 hours. 133 hours divided by 3 weeks = about 44 hours per week.

they were watching the equivalent of 6 hours of hoenn rangers per day.

nowwwww, we can be a bit generous here and assume that Hoenn Rangers fell off at least a few years before 2014, considering that all the merch around Hoenn in ORAS is old... so capping it at 32 seasons seems reasonable.

To me, the series that matches the best (superficially) is the 1992-3 series Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger... But it's probably safe to say they're not based SOLELY on one single series, especially since the colors of the heroes in HRCF are different -- red, green, yellow, and blue yeah, but also white and maroon instead of black.

(super sentai fans tell me if I'm wrong please 🥺)
