Of the two moons.

Have you noticed how in Marionetta universe there are two moons?

No? — That's alright, I've got you covered.

Yes?... Well, have you noticed it appeared only twice, both situations focusing on Kamille and her struggles with romance?

So well, let's get to the basics first.

One things that is rather obvious in moon's symbolism — it's associated with femininity. Female energy, as an opposition to male energy — the sun.

It's often we get to see sun and moon as a metaphor for heterosexual relationship (Daenerys and Drogo is the only example I can remember rn XD).

What's the metaphor for homosexual relationship between two women then? It's not like any of the girls display any manly features whatsoever, so sun and moon parallels don't exactly work well here.

So — it could be that the two moons paired together symbolise their relationship (and if it's not Ramille in it's essense, it surely does reflect Kamille's orientation).

Let's see the exact scenes the moons appeared

I think it portrays Kamille's intuition and connection to inner self very well, somehow. And as it may seem a bit (very) far-fetched, it all does suit together (imo).

So yeah... Did you know that each phase of the moon has its own meaning?

Me neither, but for some reason i googled it. lol.

The first situation is when Kamille is forced to choose a marriage partner and doesn't know what to do about it. Eventually, she proceeds to go to sleep as she notices it's late and she's unable to solve her problem right now (episode 8).

I honestly don't think it's a coincidence. It's well planned to smallest detail work. Also quite good example of foreshadowing, because there's no way we'd know she's a lesbian back then, and no way we'd figure it out.

The second one is the 'senpai noticed me' moment Kamille gets to experience with Rainah when she complements her flower crown. She gets to convince Rainah to make her become her assistant, so that they could spend more time together. She is happy she managed to accomplish her mission (episode 16).

So yeah, Kamille is surely grateful she gets to spend more time with Rainah later on.

I do honestly believe the big moon symbolises Rainah, and the smaller one is Kamille. It's kind of cute idea, if you ask me tbh.

Visual storytelling

I like how moons are kinda exclusive to Ramille in the story (if my suspicions are correct). There's no need for the moons to be drawn in any other scene. It wouldn't have any function in the story anyway, we know it's night if it's dark outside. It's about the visual storytelling. If it does it's job, it's done right.

I'm trying to figure out how to draw something simplified. I love detailing so much, really, but sometimes I want to take a break from it. So, something is emerging for me. These sketches took me about 3 or 5 minutes, otherwise, I’m more or less satisfied with the result, maybe I’ll try to use it in digital, we’ll see

🍉 - Do you prefer to write short fics or long fics? Multichaptered works or single ones? Why?

I really feel better writing short fics because most of the time I have this one image/vibe that I really want to bring to life. But it doesn’t feel right sometimes, like I should give people more context/feelings/describe stuff which looks obvious to me but not for the reader- and suddenly I’m tired of writing -_-

I have a lot of ideas for multichapter works some of them even started but let’s say by now i started posting about six fics that were supposed to be big and only one of them is finished (Beat, Resonance, Unison), two are frozen and the rest haven't moved past the first chapter. I'm really worried about I Pray My Mind be Good to Me but it’s going pretty good, much better than I expected

So in the end short fics >>> long fics

🍊 - Who’s a character you don’t write for that often, but keep meaning to write for more? (They’re so interesting! But maybe you have trouble pinning them down, or keep getting distracted by another blorbo...)

Right now I think a LOT about Serenno royal family and not only Jenza (it is so fun to write her pov but it’s also a hard time for her :c poor girl doesn’t understand that ALL men in her family are bastards).

We don’t know much about Anya but the tiny pieces that the Cursed Book gives us are so tasty: she cares about the Funeral Moon and she is kinda cold with her kids and still - I think she is the one who called the Jedi for Dooku; she probably never loved Gora and it looks like women don’t have much power on Serenno-

And Ramil!! The first son, heir to the throne, he rebels against his father, finds sponsors and connections (including some very bad people) through his own efforts to become a pod-racer. And he’s good at it!! What was that about human inability not to win but even survive a podrace?? And how it feels when your only sister thinks that some sorcerer on Coruscant is a better brother than you? and THEN he becomes disabled because of his own actions and his father dies (did he kill Gora???) and he becomes a count and-

I want to study this family under a microscope

🍋 - What’s your favorite spicier trope to write?

Jess- JESS!!! ughhh you read so much of my unpublished porn and that's how you pay?? I can’t really say what is my favorite because how I understand the smut is more about feelings than tropes for me. Like if I catch the dynamic and feelings between characters, I can take myself and the reader into mostly anything (few tropes are too much even for me)

But in the end, I think it would be bondage and serving top (if this is the right term)

Something about the trust and giving the control to another person where the bottom can relax and not worry about anything. And the second thing is well, it’s something about serving, about the character giving their all just to make their loved one feel good without thinking about their own finish, pleasure not from their own stimulation but from simply seeing their partner enjoying and melting in their arms.

In my limited independent years, I've made my way along the Sword Coast and have met my fair share of colourful personalities; Not to mention my own kin and their sheer numbers... Yet, none quite as strange and intriguing as those of my travelling companions.

Still, in a world where I'm sure to find ample resources in pursuit of a cure to this condition on my own, there is something about this motley crew I can't help but be drawn to. For all their prickly personalities, there is a surprising but unmistakable sense of fondness I feel for these acquaintances. Be it endearment or desperation, still yet to be determined.

For whatever may lie ahead, I do hope that, if anything were to happen to me, this record of events finds its way to the Ragasa estate in Loudwater.

JIANYU HAD BEEN IN the middle of a drink when Cu, out of nowhere, blurted that out. He choked, spiting the liquid back into his glass and coughing. Ramil took that randomness far better than himself, the other just as taken aback, yet far quicker to snap out of his surprise than his partner. Bursting into a loud fit of laughter that was so easily drowned out by the music of Afterlife, he grinned widely, eyes twinkling with both amusement and mischief. ❝No, no, we’re not dating. I asked this guy out once and he nearly cut my head clean off my shoulders!❞ Laughing a little more, he could practically feel Jianyu’s eyes burning into his skin in all its searing glory. ❝Kidding, kidding!❞ Holding up both hands, in a peace gesture, he watched Jianyu glower and grumble and pushing his glass forward to order another drink. When the ‘danger’ had passed, only then did he go back to his conversation with Cu. ❝Well, not so much about the near head chopping off thing. There’s a story behind that, but that’s for another day. Maybe when I’m a little less sober so I can really make the story ten times more exciting.❞

     Leaning against the counter, he hummed a little at Cu’s next words, a nod of agreement offered. ❝Oh, yes, I know that very well. Jianyu here intimidated the hell out of me.❞ Glancing over at the other, he bumped his shoulder against the merc, though Jianyu gave no indication of care aside from continuing with his new drink. ❝This guy gave off those killer vibes. He wasn’t someone acting tough. I could tell from the beginning that this man, if he wanted, could really kill me. Buuut…❞ pausing, he waved at the waitress, grinning once again and asking her sweetly for a refill before she scoffed and smiled, turning to prepare the mix he had ordered previously. ❝Talking to him, I learned I had a higher chance of a Maelstrom shooting at me for breathing weird in their direction than him wanting to cut me to pieces.❞

     ❝I’ll kill you right now, you shit.❞

     ❝And get banned from this lovely establishment? At least try to give a better threat in front of our young friend here.❞ Drink placed down in front of him once again, Rami gave his thanks with a wink to the waitress before resuming his conversation with a certain very…shamelessly curious punk. ❝Anyway, you gotta have someone you can trust in this shithole city of ours, right? Live as long as guys like us in this biz, you reach a point where you can pretty much tell who’s going to potentially try and backstab you, and who’s ride or die. the art here was sort of low effort from back in june 2023, but i still sorta like this color wheel character thing i did based on a trend that was going around. ofc ive got far too many ocs to choose from but i do love color coding characters so i just picked a handful from the same story that fit the colors haha

plus a quick little relationship chart, though in hindsight NoV4 (nova) probably does know zende through layla or her sister kass, just not sure when they may actually meet, but she at least knows Of him

and then ofc jayesh loren and zelda r my old people t4t4t married triad (jayesh at least has a bf but idk abt the other two) and i didnt make them look quite their age here but i love them 💛💛

NoV4 and alec (whos name got cut off in the pic) are both androids and i wanna try n give them more visible robot-y elements in their designs at some point
