What’s could be a better first post on this new tumblr than a celebration of creative collaboration?

It was pretty cool to work with so many fellow creatives to make our latest video installation for Very Good Looking venture project Antagonist come to life.

This couldn't have gone down without the amazing work of Mathäus Jagielski, Marcus Werner, Gerrit Piechowski & the good folks at Modest Department.

Bit of a trip down memory lane for me, too, as most of the people that helped create this are creatives I know from the old skateboarding days. Really cool to come back together over something entirely different (and then not so different after all).

WORLD PEACE MANTRA i learned this long ago from a man named John Robbins who refused the family ice-cream franchise to pursue his yoga and helping animals. his book "healthy at 100" really moved me profoundly. i was a dumb happy kid living in a bubble. eventually those 90s starvation-help-kids-in-africa-commercials while watching the oscars always disturbed me (such extremes being portrayed in full... hollywood vs famine)... and those seeds became a wild forest. the fruits are begining to manifest. kindness, compassion and all that is in my humble opinion the highest virtue and weapon that humans have. it is not to be mistaken for being a doormat! being fake nice is not at all what i am talking about. Radical Kindness! the christ/buddha within. (archetypes) hey, i am no saint (yet) and struggle with it too on a daily god damned basis. but it is the ideal and as they say, there is nothing more practical than idealism. "i dont care about you. i care about who you could become" ~ jordan peterson good quote. although peterson has said that animals have no rights. ok then. since humans are animals, then nobody has rights. ok... comedian george carlin said exactly that, rights are imaginary... yes, but they are part of a social contract. helped us survive back in the day. make us feel whole in this day. welcome to the future! imagine a world where everyone is happier than you. i mean really happy. true joy. they are wealthier than you. in every way. that is a world you would probably want to be apart of. no matter how many billions you have, it could all end when you go to the shop and some poor bastard wants your wallet. Suffering will always be part of life. I get that. It teaches us. The polarities. The opposites. We need that. We cannot escape it. to mourn the passages of time and money. we shapeshift. The desire for others to be happy and be free. That is something worth living for. A world worth creating. We are. Takes time... I am on it. You know what I cannot tolerate on fiction, especially fantasy genre, anymore? Women’s trauma. It’s surprising that even in universes where Dragons exist, we still see women needing to fight to become a queen for the First time. Nothing against them, I am just saying I am over it. In this century moving forward, I am only interested in Liberation Stories. I am talking flawed, imperfect, lazy, normal stories. People not needing to be Exceptional to fight for spaces to just exist in. People thriving because in the land of fantasy atleast, we get to imagine regular people having there basic needs met because That is Natural. I want see more of #fleabag and #valerie and #piku on media. I want to see the quiet ones who struggle to speak up still being seen as assertive. I want to see quiet resistance and seeking help as powerful tools too. I need to see rest as resilient. I want to feel valid even when I have no fight left. I want to see us building an army to protect our true humanity. I want to see us rejecting the need to horde resources and be capable of sharing it all. I still like to believe that deep down we are nurturing souls capable of leading with love and care and if that means we have to fictionalise it first, then be it. I am tired of pretend niceties, I want to see Radical Kindness. But… … for our Very Good Looking clients, the brand strategy we're assisting them with is going to be a decisive tool for the success of their company, their project and their mission. For them, it's not "another project", it's make or break. ��� Which is why very few things beat the feeling of having equipped someone with the right assets to go out there and get theirs! Pandemic Thoughts: End Capitalism

So what happens to capitalism? Never has it been easier to protest bullshit job conditions than when you don't even have to make signs or take a bus to get there, right? But how do we mobilize to do it?

At what point do we say these major corporations who lobby against welfare, but can't sustain a lousy month without obscene profits aren't worth keeping? At what point do we say the entire financial sector is just a shell game used to keep people poor, and stop showing up? At what point do we say, "That person needs food, let's give them some" instead of "They only have value if they're making money for someone else"?

Never has the impotence and inherent bias of capitalism been laid so bare, and yet, here we are, working from home - or worse, still having to show up for uncaring bosses who can't see fit to diminish their own grotesque salaries so others can eat.

How do we convince the workers at the utilities to keep the lights on regardless of what money's coming in? How do we convince the food suppliers and sellers to keep providing regardless of the income of the starving? How do we convince all those who provide essential services that the rest of us will take care of them, so long as we all agree to start working for each other and not for the greedy at the "top?"

All it would take is for us to close and lock the cash registers, and keep doing what we're doing. But can we do it? Can we give up that safety net of 1s and 0s regulated by the wealthy for the trust of our neighbors? Can we promise to support those who maintain the utility, food, and medical pipelines by keeping their lights on, bringing them meals, and giving them momentary escape?

And who's got the most difficult job of all? Convincing police, security, and military not to listen to their wealthy overlords when told to shut the factories, grocery stores, and hospitals down? Who's got the job of convincing them that they're on our side?

We're there. Our leaders have failed us. There's never been a clearer opportunity to end the capitalist oligarchy. What are our next steps?
