Makeup Progress Update

I didn't want to say how my week has been going.

...more drama than I need but I'll focus on the fun projects that are giving me life.

Here’s an update to my makeup project:

This is now useless as eyeshadow:

This Lorac’s GLO-getter eyeshadow palette, and it is an old palette. I have learned that eyeshadows and powders can last beyond their expiration dates (which is normally three years) as long as you store them properly. I know I have to be really careful regardless - the skin around the eyes is very delicate and sensitive so I have to be mindful of that.  You can tell an eyeshadow is no longer useable when the shadow falls out completely and there’s no blendability - which was what happened to my attempt with it today.

This was actually one of my first “high-end” makeup purchase! I remember trying to find ways to incorporate the other colors in my day-to-day look, which was ultimately neutral, which is evident in the dips of the browns and beige colors xD

I don’t feel too sad that I can’t use it anymore (I’m actually like, YES, my collection is getting smaller lmao) but I also feel like taking some Marie Kondo energy and want to thank this palette for bringing me joy when it could.

I’m thinking of repurposing for something artsy? I do want to get more into art and drawing this year so I’m not going to just toss it.

On the other hand I use a random number generator (aka RNGesus) to choose my lipstick for the day and today it was the Mean Girls lipstick by Too Faced. I love/hate that it’s Wednesday and the lipstick is a shimmery pink.
