Close to 10am. A white sky, a pale sun. Most of today flooded with the various sounds and tones that meld into one dense, comforting noise so close to the sea. Touching base at the lighthouse. Wondering how residing up there might feel like, always between the waves and the coastal forests, always with both and always keeping a reasonable distance.

Calling it quits way early today so I can be fresh at church tomorrow. My home is reset, tidied, and swept. Bread has been made. For a bonus, I got the ironing caught up and sprayed my living room curtains down with a linen refresh spray.

Simple, quiet days are my favorite, the kind where I can quickly see the fruit of my labors. Speaking of fruit, I was inspired today by Homemaker Chic to think about decorating with fruit and vegetables more before we eat them.
