Another Life Update

Hey peeps!

Again I haven’t been as active as I’ve wanted to be!

And I’m not going to be super active the next few days either, I’m still recovering from that meltdown a few days ago.

I’m going to put a bunch of stuff in my queue though so hopefully I’ll still seem active...

But in other news my grandma bought me a stim toy today. \^__^/

No, we couldn’t really afford it (in other words we had to put some stuff back) but I had a super super bad pain day today

(My right hip is actually literally trying to kill me)

But I had to go out and help her do some stuff anyway bc sometimes you just have to do stuff

So she saw me playing with those squishy stim toys and got me one! It’s sooo cute, it’s shaped like a fruit tart. I just got to figure out how to make it smell better...

We also got to eat at a restaurant today, which was very nice.

The reason we were able to afford it was because my grandma got three gift cards for Christmas from three different people, all to the same place.

Our waitress was very lovely and she had a really pretty nail polish on! V nice!

I have also come to a decision, the automated shopping carts at Walmart are significantly easier to control than the ones at Ingles

However the ones at Ingles are far more comfortable and provide more lower back support.

I dont know what to do with said information.

Good News:

!! I got in touch with a disability law firm today! I can meet with them sometime next week!!!!!

I’m sooo excited about that. And nervous as heck.

Also shout out to the anon who helped me on my script for talking to them, you made things way easier!

I kept it in my inbox so I could find it, but I did read it and it really helped!

Also also, someone bought the vinyl shoe repair patches on my Wishlist! Whoo! Thank you!!

As soon as my hip isn’t messed up I’ll patch my shoes and show you peeps the finished product!

Anyways, thanks to every one of you peeps you’re always super supportive of me and I’m slowly learning to use support as motivation.

as my pinned states, my two passions in life are dragons and pretty boys of which lwj is the prettiest of them all so ofc i just had to combine them<3 i also Really Love dragon lwj content in general  (as for my usual url crow-n-prince it's my semi professional one! i use it for art related things and it's meant to be a play on crown prince-> crow (one of my other fave things) and prince)

Dear Diary,

Ytd was quite shagged, hence the late post. It was Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day, and I worked as the mascot assistant for the scoop shop at Dempsey Hill. The mascot person was this nice guy named Jerald. He looked 25, but he's a 20yo student from Temasek Poly & it was his first time as a mascot (if we disregard the 10min he had to cover up for his friend during his school’s sports day). 😱 He’s a real decent-looking lad -- smiley, undercut hair, tall, bufflord (I suppose he plays water polo) -- I’d be taken aback if he said he isn’t dating. 

The mascot, Woody the cow, was fking hideous tho. It looked like it came straight outta Halloween Horror Night. The costume was too big for poor Jerald. Ok, lemme juz insert a pic to illustrate my words & make your eyes bleed:

Anyway, I helped dress him up, guided him around (apparently he had v limited field of vision lol) the Free Cone Day tent to interact with the consumers & gesture to take pics tgt, & took pics to be sent to the client. It was 30min of him in the suit that’s ‘hot as balls’ (not sure if that’s an accurate analogy but that’s what Jerald described lmao), & 30min of chilling in the cafe, which was repeated until dusk. Before the clock struck 12, there was already a queue. o.O Picture this: Woody (aka Jerald) was this creepy bastard whose (innocent) appearance made a couple of kids cry; their parents were chill (pun not intended) abt it & laughed it off. Woody running up to female students & making them jump out of their skin. Woody photobombing almost every other family’s picture. When people declined to have a pic with Woody, Woody grabbed a heart prop & chased them lmfao 🤣🤣 it made me (& the B&J volunteers) weak.

Thankfully, lunch was provided. It was Lee Wee & Brothers’ breaded fish nasi lemak. I rmb eating it once & it’s delicious (yet tastes slightly unconventional); it costed S$4.50. The sambal chilli packet was impossible to tear open, but luckily Jerald carried a pocket knife with him bc he does fishing.

Poor Jerald, melting (once again, pun not intended) in the sweltering heat of the costume. Everyone sympathised him & our supervisor treated us to a free cone during one of our breaks. 😋 Rule of thumb: if you work at an ice cream parlour, you MUST eat their ice cream. 

We spotted one of the B&J volunteers squatting down, so Woody joined & we formed your #squatgoals. 😂 I joined in the pic (bc I was told to) but I didn’t ask the volunteers for the pics & I’m regretting it so much rn. 😭😭 If y’all are interested, check out the #BenAndJerrySG & #TWC2SG tags on Instagram for pics of the day. There was this really annoying bunch of kids that wouldn’t stop chasing Woody around & hurling snarky remarks at him 🙄, but there were also polite kids who addressed Woody by his name and gave him countless hugs. 🙆‍♀️ It warms my heart every time Woody made the people smile, which made me realise that a mascot job is not smth to be looked down upon -- if anything, it’s one of the noblest & rewarding jobs a student could take up. I was too much of a pussy to ask Jerald for his Instagram handle, but I managed to send him a “nice meeting you” text before I went to sleep. Haiz, I miss the people I’d worked with throughout my school break.

1) set up the 5 gal with all the goods™ so I can get it cycling and going

2) ORDER PRIDE SHIRTS FROM THIS WEBSITE THAT HAS A TON OF GREAT DESIGNS AJHFJF

3) sleep because god i am exhausted lmao

4) smorch my boys from the glass

5) get some better food but idk where to find the best brands bc my lps doesn't sell what I'm lookin for and I want my boys to have the best

6) do more research for planted tanks bc I kind of want the 5 gal to be planted bc it'll sit by my window but at the same time planted tanks can be fragile and I've never done one out of fear of killing the poor tank
