Ayato: A hotel, huh? Well… whatever they will make us do there, it can’t be that bad, right?

Subaru: Dunno about you, man, but as soon as I know I’m being filmed, I’m pretty much doomed to mess it up.

So yeah, it actually is that bad for me!

Ayato: Haa… relax a little, will you?

At least you’re not going to be stuck on the farm like the Hyung line. If you think working at the hotel sucks, imagine milking cows in the middle of a mud pit!

Although, I really do wish Hana-san could be here as well… She’s the one who deserves to see Ayato-san in person more than I do. But, I suppose there’s nothing that can be done about it.

For this reason, I genuinely hope I’ll be able to get that autograph for her.

Receptionist: Unfortunately, yes! Our porter fell down the stairs while getting ready and broke his ankle.

Shu doesn’t seem like the type to overlook such mistakes—he basically said as much the other days.

As for Reiji and Kanato… Yeah, forget it. They’d make it sound even worse.

And Laito… he’s the one I’ve always been closest to, but even with him… I don’t know. A part of me can’t shake the feeling that if it came down to it, he’d take their side too.

So that only leaves Subaru.

However, knowing him, he’d probably just end up jumping on the bandwagon too. No way that guy would want to be seen as my accomplice or something like that.

Haa… that would indeed be an uncomfortable situation.

After all, no one likes to have shade thrown at them.

Knee-deep in exams rn but imagine the older diaboys (Shu/Reiji/Ruki/Carla/Yuma) with someone who completely matches their freak. Sorta the aim for the dancer and deadbeat series I'm working on and subsequent series or fics with them.

But like especially imagine wearing some clothing that exposed a harder bite as a suprise. Even better imagine it like smack dab on your neck after they expected you to wear a turtle neck or something but nope infact you're in something even more low cut so the other smaller puncture wounds are also on show. I imagine Shu and Yuma are more receptive to a hard to cover tattoo but regardless imagine their reactions. Them trying to fluster you and you just go "What it's hot out of course I'm not wearing heavy layers" and just walking off.

Before reading, please take into a consideration that they are also partially unhealthy types since their growth process was highly influenced by their family issues.

Ayato – ESTP

Se dom: competitive, sports loving, impulsive, typically disobedient and freewilling, do-er more than talker, easily bored, daredevil, driven to be the best (Se-Ti) Ti aux: blunt (insulting towards the ones he hates, his mother for example. Laito who is a feeler is less offensive and still holds feelings of attachment), direct, less attached than Laito to him mother and more towards rejecting her (while Fi aux Laito still feels partially attached), in important situation he will resolve a problem directly (like confronting his uncle directly when the problem with resurrecting his mother emerged) Fe tert: a bit of a tsundere type, he is bad at hiding his feelings which are sometimes underdeveloped and immature, possessiveness as a form of attachment (lower stack Fe is prone to this), he tries to cover he cares but he fails miserably Ni inferior: hard to spot but it can be connected to his jealousy and distrust when he probably thinks (but this can be also connected to his unhealthy Fe). It is often said that ESXPs withdraw when inferior function hits them and Ayato has been known to disappear when he has problems. There was a chapter in one drama CD where Yui waits for him after he left without a word for a long while and was away for month or two – this can count as withdrawing.

Laito – ESFP

Se – as have many noticed, Laito is very pleasure oriented individual. He takes to an unhealthy level at times and doesn’t believe in putting too much meaning into it. Even though, it is a case of an extreme behavior, I do believe that his natural personality is also pleasure oriented. He is also very fun-loving. Fi – Laito displays a lot of long-term affection towards other individuals but it’s very hard to spot. Even if is less competitive and less blunt than Ayato, Ayato’s feelings are actually more childish and easier to spot. Laito on the other hand has more of an inner approach to his feelings and emotions. He is never actually seen speaking clearly about his feelings and he is often covering them very well with lust and a very good control over them (unlike Ayato who’s tertiary Fe comes into play quite often). He is dealing with them internally. He is also more towards making peace rather than fighting with others (unlike Ayato) which is mostly an Fx indicator. Te – Laito display externally very pragmatic behavior (but not as direct as Te dominants). He’s outer self is far more stable and calm then his inner self which suggest Fi-Te relationship. Ni – negating putting more meaning into his physical involvement with women and generally negating things like God and similar fictional things, showing cruel attitude towards things he considers fictional and strong preference for reality (he is a vampire but he likes to put a lot of emphasis on negating God). I personally thing this could count as inferior Ni.

Kanato – ISFP

Fi-Te – the reason I want to connect these two when it comes to Kanato, and not analyze them separately, is because I believe he is the most unstable out of all brothers and goes a lot into his inferior function. Kanato is often prone to emotional blackmails and acting spoiled around others to get what he wants and also punishing when he doesn’t get what he wants. No offence to Fi users, but Fi dominants who are emotionally unstable are prone to this kind of behavior in order to satisfy their emotional needs. Fi users are often said to have a need to connect to others with similar emotional states or to be understood – this satisfies their feelings. Kanato does this in a very aggressive unhealthy way, joining his inferior Te and practically using it together with his Fi which results in him being highly irrational, demanding, bossy and cruel. (Some can say Kanato is Ti dominant but I see no structure in him and just emotional outbursts.) Se-Ni – I believe these two functions are very closely related in him as well. He is sensory kind of person. Collecting his dolls, making them look pretty and carrying around his teddy bear to which he assigns a special value and meaning (Ni)

Reiji – ISTJ

Si – I think this is pretty obvious for Reiji. He is very petty and detail oriented. He puts things in order in a very tidy and petty way. Si often translates into an adherence to existing facts, traditions, worldviews, or methods which are all the things that can be directly connected to Reiji’s behavior. He is very factual – interested in current family affairs and traditional – asking his brothers over and over to have dinner as a family as families do. Te – he obviously has a very big need to put his outside world in order. Collecting things, taking care of household affairs, organizing family meetings. His need for dominance and control is also one of the things Te users are connected with. Fi – Reiji is obviously more concentrated on how things make him feel than on how things make others feels. He is so blind with jealousy on his brother that 500 years have passed and he still doesn’t see how suffocated his mother’s love made his brother feels. He is only centered on the fact that he got hurt by his mother’s actions. He also lacks in communicating these feelings with others around him. His jealousy is easy to spot but he doesn’t communicates his feelings to his brother in which case he would maybe get more objective insight in the whole situation – at least feelings wise. Ne – inferior Ne is usually able to be seen in NOT doing some things. As Ne dominants like to challenge status quo – Si dominants detest to do so. Reiji is very stuck on his way and traditional ways in general and never puts them in question. He also doubts others a lot, feeling they did him wrong – this is inferior Ne because supposing something is not Sx dominants thing and it usually comes in a very bad nature aka they suppose something bad. He automatically things Shu always worked against him and probably his mother as well while in his mother’s case it was neglect and Shu was here actually pretty much uninvolved.

Shuu – ISFP

Fi – Shuu’s Fi is hard to spot as any other function because of his lethargic and very introverted behavior. Why I believe he has it? His deep connection with Yuma (once Edgard) and the deep scar that relationship left suggest that he is capable of very profound personal attachments. I believe him to be very protective and drawn to the one’s he likes or loves. Due to his subconscious awareness of his nature and his big disappointment, he decided to stay away from others. This probably numbs him as a person and it resulted in him being lethargic. He and Kanato maybe don’t seem like the same type but if you think about it, they are the same things just pulling into different ends. Kanato becomes yandere and needy, Shuu negates his nature of connecting with others. They both do it intensely just in two different unhealthy ways. Se – Shuu is a sensor. Musical, not putting too much meaning to it or analyzing this, he is just enjoying the sound. He also, like sensors do, learns from experience (Edgard situation) Ni – His connection to others also comes from his Fi-Ni relationship but since Ni is not his natural function, he lacks in putting a meaning to a relationship in a healthy manner. He is probably in Fi-Ni loop (an introverted loop) which results it shutting people off and the world in general which is how all of us would describe Shu. Te – Shu obviously has no desire to be in charge of anything, leaving it to Reiji. He finds his mother’s pressure suffocating and imposing. He never wanted any of these obligations. His Te is probably also unpronounced due to Fi-Ni loop and he has no strong preference for organizing or controlling his surroundings. Inferior Te is also characterized by very quick and reluctant actions that may seem like they lack “thinking it over”, especially when they get paranoid or someone steps on Fi dom’s values or puts them in a corner. For Shu it’s often said that “…if someone pushes him too far and threatens what is important for him, he will strike back viciously and won’t hesitate to kill…” – sounds like a legit inferior Te.

Subaru – INFJ

Ni-Fe - Subaru was hard to type. I’m rather unsure about his type but I believe him to be an Fe user due to his feeling of guilt and putting others in front of himself (he’d rather make others kill him than kill others). He also carries around the knife to which he assigns very specific meaning (Ni). Subaru is an obvious introvert which leads me to put Ni in front of Fe. Inferior Se – his aggressiveness towards object and occasional out of control behavior are very alike to inferior Se behavior. Anger is something very closely related to inferior Se. The INJs who come into inferior Se often say: “I’m moody and gloomy, with sudden deep anger” – it’s a lot like Subaru is. I’m unable to pinpoint tertiary Ti. My best guess here is INFJ – feel free to disagree.

I feel like sharing my Reiji centered playlist. It’s music that reminds me of him him and that I think he would listen to.

I somehow get the feeling that he and Shu would have a bit of an overlap in liking certain instrumental pieces that helps them quiet their minds. The only thing is that Reiji avoids string pieces like a plague unless it’s a symphony. And that is purely because Shu plays violin. I ended up putting piano, organ, and lieders in the playlist because I think he’d prefer those instead.

Maybe he’d enjoy the occasional traditional goth song, those melancholic lyrics might just resonate with him. I often associate him with the autumn and winter months even though he has an August birthday. Jazz, too, he probably likes. It’s classy and lightens up his mood.

Despite his annoyingly realist approach to living, he’d probably force himself to indulge in some ‘higher pleasures’ at times just so he could elevate his taste.. and maybe feel like he’s better than others. Silly guy.
