Ace: Okay. No one had expected the party was going to be a blast.
Epel: Both in literal and figurative sense.
Ace, Deuce, Epel, Ortho, and Jack: *laughing*
Jack: And who would've thought that MC-senpai's sister and Ruggie would click?
Ace: Like, bruh! I still remember their conversation!
Ace: "Is MC-senpai looking for a brother-in-law?"
Ace: "They don't. But I'm looking for a boyfriend. Are you available?" *claps, laughing*
Epel: By the way, we'd only seen senpai when the party was about to end.
Jack: Yes. And I think they have injured their left eye.
Ortho: I wonder what happened.
Malleus: Didn't I tell you to be careful?
MC: *has returned with a bleeding eye and deep scratches on their arms and neck* *giggles*
MC: The souls I have arrived to were too excited~.
Malleus: ...
Malleus: Let me patch you up.
MC: Hm~? Has your mom left already~?
Malleus: Yes. She didn't want you to see her off.
MC: Eh~.
Malleus: Oh and, you've decided on Rosehearts and Schoenheit?
MC: Hmm~ *giggles* Riddle will never be my option~. He's too young~.
MC: And will die easily because of stress~.
Malleus: That's... *sigh* How about Schoenheit?
MC: If it's Vil~ Hehe~ He's a fine choice~ But~ I'll be too possessive~.
Malleus: You're worried that you would be too possessive for Schoenheit?
MC: *nods then giggles* Wouldn't anyone be~?
Malleus: ...
Malleus: I'm surprised with your self-awareness.
MC: *touches his face with their bloody hands*
Malleus: *frowns* Hey.
MC: *giggles*
Malleus: *sigh*
Silver: MC's parents are amazing.
Lilia: Indeed. I don't think anyone would do what they have done for the sake of love.
Sebek: That's just pure insanity! And I don't even understand the explanation at all!
Sebek: How could they be both half-dead?!
Silver: MC's father had died long ago, but for some reason, his body never decomposed. And their mother, who was an infamous necromancer, found him and fell in love at first sight.
Sebek: I understood that part! What I'm trying to say is how were they able to produce offsprings?!
Silver: ...
Silver: Oh. You have a point with that, Sebek. *turns to look at Lilia*
Silver: Do you know how that is possible, father?
Lilia: Yes. But you're still innocent to know.
The Ramshackle students: Housewarden! How is your eye?
MC: It's fine~ But it feels really itchy~.
Grim: Don't think of plucking that out, mryah!
MC: *giggles* Why~ Its string is still connected to the socket~.
Grim: Just don't!
MC: Okay~. If you could distract me~.
The Ramshackle students: We will study hard so we can get the first place in rankings!
MC: Eh~ That's a nice proposal~.
MC: But if one of you fails~ Would you like to receive my eyeball as a reward~?
The Ramshackle students: N-No, housewarden...
MC: *giggles* Fail or not~ All I want you to do is enjoy school~ Like how I enjoy my stay here~.
The Ramshackle students: *sniffles* Yes, housewarden!
Grim: You're awfully nice today. *looking at them suspiciously*
MC: Well~ The next couple of months will be a torture~.
The Ramshackle students: That's still fine, housewarden!
MC: *giggles*

I wonder, how would the Forgers dynamic with the people in their social circle change once their secrets become known to one another?
Your thoughts?
*misreads your question on purpose*
Hello, do you want my opinion about how the Forgers would react if their secrets became exposed to one another? Of course, of course, if you insist, I guess I could share some thoughts that I have that I do not hold to the ranks of beloved headcanons that canon will have to tear from my cold dead hands.
How would Yor react after learning that Loid is a spy that has been lying to her this whole time: she would admire him even more. She was already in awe of what a good father he was and how skilled he is at everything but it turns out that he is even more extraordinary than expected. Always go beyond when it comes to what he needs to do. He lied to her about the marriage? She lied to him about not murdering people daily in bloody and creative ways, it's a stone she can't cast. He lied to her about Anya being his blood daughter and how she needed to get into Eden Academy because that's what her mom wanted? All she hears is that this man was given a mission and to do that, he happened to rescue Anya from an orphanage, to give her a home where she misses nothing and to be the Best Dad ever. Talk about multitasking.
How would Loid react after learning that Yor is an assassin who has been lying to her this whole time: pure lust for her skills. Unquenchable yearning for the way she can sever someone's spine with one kick. All of Wise and Franky would be freaking out about Yor going through mooks and he would be the "That's my wife!" guy. So proud. Turns out he is somehow even better at choosing spouse than previously assumed. Would he freak out at first? Yes. That's the same guy who freak out about the secret police arresting him for spy crimes if he doesn't buy his daughter a silly keychain. He wouldn't mind the killing, though, as he can hardly cast the stone for that one either. The problem is: is Yor a danger for Anya and Loid? Was he so compromised that he didn't see the threat? And from the moment he remembers that Yor would kill and die for Anya, just like him, there is no problem anymore, rationalization aplenty, cue to him telling the Handler that it's great to have an assassin at home because extra security, good of the mission, blah blah blah, peace of the world.
How would Loid and Yor react after learning that Anya can read minds and got her powers from scientists experimenting on her: Complete and absolute mortification as they are going through every silly thoughts they ever had in her presence. Almost spontaneously combust out of sheer embarrassment. Then, they are "Guess my daughter is even more exceptional than previously assumed but it checks out." No one says a word about her powers to anyone else, though, as they do not want her to be used. And during the entire conversation, they are reaaaaaaaaaaaaaally calm, reaaaaaaaaaaally poised, and as soon as Anya falls asleep, it's MURDER THOUGHTS FOR THE SCIENTISTS that make the entire building hallucinate visions of their own deaths.
How would Loid and Yor react after learning that Bond can see the future: Straight up disbelief. You gotta draw the line somewhere. Then, epic case of freak out when they realize that the first time Anya ran off with the dog was because their kid tried to disarm a bomb.

What are you hiding from love?| Yandere!Jk x Reader Part II
Summary: Being in a relationship with Jungkook you’ve always noticed the signs, the red flags if you will. Being so in love with him you ignored them, until the people you loved dearly started disappearing one by one.
Warnings: Murder, Jungkook victim blaming ( like he will say i killed you because you are too stupid or whatever), Possessiveness, Mentions of Smut, Controlling, Locking up YN.
Taglist: vante 🫶🏾
A/N: This is made to be scary! That is all. I honestly dont like mixing smut with yandere because i read yandere fics to be spooked not horny lol.
Jungkook at this point was flying down the highway, where could yn be at this late?
He was confused really. He told her, never go into his office. Why would she disobey him?
He remembers that the coffee shop she works at is open late so maybe she’s there.
Tumblr media
Yn was frightened the things she saw in that dark room where not normal to have.
“ You look so shocked, yn. I’m sorry you had to find out about that side of him. I should’ve told you sooner but I was scared he would hurt you or me,” Seokjin, her best friend since childhood, sat down her warm tea she ordered on his island.
“Does he know you are here?” Shaking her head, no, she sighed out of fright. “ I just can’t get the pictures out my head. Who were those people? Why was he hurting them? Why was he taking pictures of me… like that? I’m so scared, Jin.”
He tired comforting her but not knowing if that would work.
“ I really should’ve told you sooner, Yn.”
The only reason that Jin knows about it is because he’s seen Jungkook physically harm someone back when Jin used to work with him at the flower shop. It’s how Jungkook and Yn met each other 5 years ago.
Around that time, he wasn’t obsessed with anyone but Jin always would see the look he had in his eyes.
That darkness in his eyes, it was filled with brutal acts, the one thing that was the scariest was that he never killed them at first.
He would torture them, slowly, saying things like you made me harm you with your dumb ass acts.
He was pure evil and there was no saving him.
Jin thought maybe if he introduced someone so beautiful, peaceful, pure and quite literally a flower, he would stop these acts.
He did at first, but then they only got worst.
When yn would stop by the flower shop, Dropping them both off some coffee of some sort and leave back out. Costumers would simply smile at her and send a nice hello gesture her way.
Jungkook didn’t like that.
In fact, one older guy said hello to her as she was leaving, even held the door for her.
Later that day during closing, Jin saw Jungkook brutal beat that poor man to a bloody mess. He intervened and told Jungkook to leave him be he’s already not moving.
He was willing to kill a man simply for saying hello to yn.
“ Why didn’t you tell me?” Yn questioned looking at him. “ You weren’t going to believe me, Yn. You would’ve assumed I was jealous of the relationship and brushed it off.So I told myself, when she finds out for herself, I’ll tell everything I know about him” Jin sighed and sat back against the couch.
“Was he always like this?” Looking at him as she sipped on her tea, feeling a little relaxed.
“Since I met him? Yeah, he’s always been off. I thought he just needed someone to love and someone to love him. He grew up without his mom or his dad, he was back and forth from foster care and foster homes. Unfit child. That’s what his records say. I only know this because my father worked with him when he was younger when my dad used to work in the foster care facility. I’m sorry I even introduced you two. The worst decision of my life. He won’t hurt you though, he would rather hurt himself than hurt you.”
Tumblr media
Yn decided to go back to the apartment after some time. Jin promised her that Jungkook loves her way too much to hurt her she was safe for now, at least.
She unlocked the door seeing the lights still on and Bam peacefully back on the couch sleeping.
Sighing she grabbed her phone seeing the missed text messages and missed calls from Jungkook and her sister.
sister : yn where the hell are you?
Did you tell Kook you are with me?
He’s looking for you?
Are you at work?
Hello?
yn pls answer
She sighed again and called her sister back. “ What the fuck yn! Where have you been? Jungkook is worried sick! Did you guys have a fight or something?” “ Somewhat. I was with Jin but just to calm down. I’m back at home now. Did Jungkook call you or something?” Yn already knew he called her, I mean she did say she was with her. “ Yeah he did, it wasn’t long though. Get some sleep and call me tomorrow okay? I’ll come pick you up so we can hang out and talk all about it. Love you” her sister hung up and yn put her phone down and cuddled with Bam.
“ what do i do Bam? I have to go, I can’t stay with someone so dangerous.” She whispered petting his head.
As if on cue Jungkook came into the house and he smiled happily. “ There you are! I was worried baby~”
Smiling hard he took his jacket off and sat down on the other side of the couch, he tried touching her leg but she moved it.
Yn sat up and looked at him. “ Are you hiding something from me, Jeon?” She knows questioning him wasn’t right. But she needed him to say.
She needed to hear him say what exactly those photos were. She needs to hear it.
He tilted his head to the side, looking at Bam then the floor. “ Ah, I got a new tattoo and got a haircut-,” “ Jungkook, are you hiding something?” She repeated Scooting back.
“Why are you asking me-,” “ I saw the room Jungkook. I saw those… photos.”
He sighed and stood up, “ You went in my office?why-,” cutting him off again she shouted “ Why do you fucking care if I went in there or not? That’s not the problem! The problem is why do you have those photos Jungkook?”
At this point she started crying out of anger.
“It’s just art, Princess. I swear that’s all it is,” Jungkook was starting to panic on the inside. “That’s not fucking art! You have photos of you torturing people like it was that fucking Saw movie!” He sat back down and ran his hair through his hair.
“ okay. Okay” he tried to calm himself down ready to admit the truth. “ It is art, to me. It’s a hobby I have. I know I know it’s not a good one but I promise I don’t do it often.” He looked up at her moving a little closer, “ I’ve only did it once since we’ve been together, baby. Well, I’ve only killed once since we’ve been together.” Looking at her still he watched her tears drop down her face onto Bams head.
“ Who are those people, Jungkook?” She whispered feeling herself becoming unwell. “Baby” he started and yn just shook her head, “ Tell me, Jungkook, just please tell me.”
He didn’t want to. Why does she care about the people that has talked to her. People who have flirted with her, touched her, looked at her, even brushed passed in her in stores without saying sorry.
“ Those people are people who has looked at you the way only I can look at you, but baby they don’t matter. No no see only we matter, yeah? They deserved it.” He saw her stand up and he went to defense mode.
“ You hurt those strangers because of them simply glancing at me?”
Fear. He sees it in her eyes. He knows the look of fear. He never wanted to see it on her.
Jungkook started rapidly shaking his head. “No no, baby, no. Don’t look at like that. Don’t look at me like you are scared of me. Please I don’t want you to be scared of me, princess.”
“ the photos of me… why are you developing photos of me? Weird photos…”
“I want to remember you always baby that’s all. I won’t do it again if you don’t like it.”
Pondering. Yn knew that leaving would probably make him upset and start crying, possibly raging. She needed time though.
“ I think we should take a break,” “ No. absolutely not. you aren’t going.” He instantly answered.
“Just for tonight, Kook.” She tried to wipe her face from the tears but Jungkook grabbed her face shaking his head.
“ No baby, whatever I did to upset you I can fix it. Yeah we can fix it baby there is no need to leave. I won’t let you.”
“whatever you did? Jungkook you are hurting people, and that’s hurting me. I can’t stay here.” She took his hands off her face and grabbed her phone and purse heading to the door.
“ yn, if you fucking walk out that door, I promise I’ll kill Jin and Your sister. I’ll watch them fucking suffer if you leave me,” he walked up behind her grabbing her purse out her hand and throwing it on the couch.
“ You are gonna leave me and your child, Bam, Alone again?”
Without waiting on an answer he picked her up and began to take her to his office. Yn was trying hard to not go in there, she held onto the door frame, screaming and putting her weight down, but sadly jungkook won this fight with an over powering push which sent her stumbling into the office floor.
He looked at her and sighed. He closed the door and locked it from the outside.
“ Jungkook!” She kicked at the door and hit it a couple of times. “ Let me out, Jeon!” Screaming through the door still trying to open it, “ Fuck!” She let out a cry.
“ You disobeyed me and tired to leave to go to that punk bitch. You’ll stay in there until morning! Get some rest baby. Good night.”
Jungkook walked away from the door, the sounds of yn banging never lowering.

Hi there! so glad to see you posting again I like a lot of what you have to say about Snape. I noticed you say a few times tho that your visual headcanon for Snape isn't conventionally attractive and I just wondered if you had any reference of what he looks like in your mind? An actor or other famous person? just someone like that?
I'm just curious how you imagine Snape because I admit I just see Alan Rickman as Snape in my head since I started with the movies as a kid and didn't read the books a few until years later. It always interests me so much when people say they read the books before the movies or read the books with the movies coming out and saw Snape as someone else.
Its ok if you can't think of anyone just thought I'd ask. thx!
Hello!
*waves enthusiastically like an idiot with zero chill*
Tumblr media
I get so giddy when someone sends me an ask like this so I hope no one thinks I don't enjoy questions about Snape or my headcanons. As anyone who knows me knows, I think a lot and especially about those things I love so I always have lots of thoughts rolling around in my head I can be positively overeager to share with anyone interested.
So to answer your question, I don't have a specific person pinned down that is 100% like how I picture Snape in my mind but some close candidates would be a young Adrien Brody (which I think is common enough among Snape fans as a choice, right there with Adam Driver these days), obviously the man that JKR based Snape around, John Nettleship, someone like Adarsh Jaikarran as a potential Hogwarts-era and early 20s Snape (even if he is more good-looking than I usually lean, in some pictures he just channels Snape vibes for me quite a bit) and a very young Julian Richings if you've ever seen photos of him in his younger years (I have two here for you so you can see my point a bit, here and here).
Ironically, Julian Richings in the later years of his acting career would probably have been my first choice for a Voldemort fan cast back in the day when any Harry Potter reboot was purely in the realm of the hypothetical (I mean, c'mon, look at this and tell me you can't see it too) but as JKR is an unapologetic anti-feminist/TERF I provide no monetary support to any of her projects including any licensed games, the watching of future reboots or purchasing of future tie-in books in the HP universe, officially licensed HP merchandise, or even by giving traffic to what was formerly Pottermore, etc.
All I bring to the fandom now is my fan theories and love for Snape, which she not only does not benefit from but never seemed entirely at peace with given how the character got away from her and took off. I can't think of a better way to spite someone so utterly spiteful herself than to take the character she was most shocked by people loving in any capacity and celebrate him in every incarnation (gay, bi, trans, ace, autistic, poc, etc.) with my queer, gender-nonconforming little heart while she gets zero money off me for it.
Anyway I hope the visual guide gives you a little more insight into my mind. I've never seen Snape as "ugly" (even when I joke my Snape is "ugly" and I like him that way) but my mental picture of him is of a man whose looks might fall into that unconventionally attractive sphere or what some people call homely. Occasionally I veer off that a bit, as with Adarsh Jaikarran, oh, oh! And also Lee Soo Hyuk, Song Jae-Rim and Kento Yamazaki (ever since I saw him in the live-action Bloody Monday manga series adaptation)!
But yes, my favorite Snape and the Snape I love isn't usually model attractive but also not quite the gargoyle Harry describes (that kid had some ridiculously high standards of beauty tbh, about the only characters he didn't have mentally critical notes on their appearance was the unnamed Veela, Fleur, and Narcissa Malfoy so yeah he totally thought "Draco's mom has got it going on..." Lol!) but somewhere in that "unconventional" categorization of attractive which I feel really suits a man who so often defies easy categorization in general.
(Excuse all the edits. After I gave a few examples more started hitting me and I was like ohhhhh I should have shared them, why didn't I think to share them? So I may come back and make more edits throughout the day, no promises I won't! Lol)

My Future
Derek Hale x OC
Samantha, Stiles and Scott are always joking about the impossible. Who wouldn't when your best friend's dad is the sheriff of Beacon Hills? All jokes stop when they realize the impossible is indeed possible.
Tumblr media
Chapter 39: New Faces and Kaminas
Sam went home, immediately being shouted at by her mother for leaving to go to Mexico without a word.
Uttering that it wasn’t her first time wasn’t a strong thought to tell her mom, so she kept it to herself. After her mom finally quieted down, she properly welcomed her home with a watery smile. Sam could only give a tired smile back.
She was left to freshen up, washing away the blood splatters, dust and dirt from her body, shuddering as every detail came back to her. Derek died and then came back to life. She wanted to kill Kate.
Scott and Kira could’ve died and all she was worried about was saving Derek. She felt guilty. Guilty for making him her first priority while the others were in trouble. She felt guilty and yet something was shouting in her mind to tear Kate apart for causing so much destruction.
The pain she felt in her chest, it felt horrible. She didn’t even take his pain away. She couldn’t. She was in too much shock to do so. Shaking away the thought of his bloody wound, she finished her shower and got dressed, finally exiting her bathroom and laid on her bed.
He was…safe. Everyone was safe. The mute was gone, the deadpool was done, they survived a poisoning and got rid of Kate. She wanted to take it as some type of victory, but…
Her phone brought her out of her thoughts, making her sit up and see Stiles’ face appear on her phone screen. Answering, she laid back down. “Hey.”
“Hey.”, he responds. He doesn’t sound…chipper. Bored, maybe. “You okay?”
She sighs. “I guess.”
She hears his chuckle over the phone. “You don’t sound okay.” He was quiet for a moment. “Wanna talk about it?”
She turned on her side. Did she? Did she really wanna tell him how close she was to killing Kate and making every hunter watch to give a message?
“Sam.”
Sam sighs. “I dunno, Sti.” He sighs in return. “Well, how are you feeling for real?”
“Tired. Confused. Conflicted.”, she says. Stiles made a disapproving huff. “Come over. I still got some pizza left. Let’s talk over that.”
Sam sighs once more. “Okay.”
At the Stilinski residence, Stiles and Sam sat in the living room, eating pizza as they discussed.
"What's really wrong?", Stiles asked. Sam sets her half-eaten slice down. “I… almost killed again. And again, I was stopped because my morals are stronger than my pure instinctual anger.”, she scoffed.
Stiles looked at her, his head tilted a bit. “That didn’t stop you before.”, he says, referring to the nogitsune. Sam frowned. “Because, both you and I were in trouble along with everyone else. Allison died and Aiden was next. He could’ve killed you. If given another chance, I’d do it again.”
Stiles leaned back against the couch. “You’d kill…for me?”
“I’d scorch the Earth over you.”, she says without hesitation.
She looked down. “But I didn’t feel malicious towards the nogitsune. I was…scared. Scared I was gonna lose you guys if I hadn’t done anything. In the end, we did lose in a way, but still. With Kate, I felt like it was karma. Karma for the Hales. Karma for trying to get Allison to kill Scott and Derek. Karma for trying to kill me and I hadn’t even been bitten at the time. I wanted to kill her. Not stop her so she’d see the error of her ways.”
She looked up at Stiles. “I remember beating her face in, trying to make her suffocate. I wanted to torture her… for so long until she was begging me to finally finish her. And the entire time, I was just in pain. Derek’s death changed me, and I can’t say if it was for better or worse.”
He smiled a bit. “You love him.” Her eyebrows furrowed. “I don’t—”
Stiles nodded. “You do. I don’t think you noticed, but I noticed. I think I started to notice when we had to deal with the darach.”
She frowned. Sure, Derek was handsome, loyal and sweet when he wanted to be, and he made her feel like she was on top of the world sometimes, but…
Stiles’ expression shut all of her confusion down as she remembered her actions from their meeting to now. She wasn’t just doing things for her and her friends anymore. She’s been doing it for him too.
“You just now realizing it?”, Stiles asked. Sam shoved him lightly. “Shut up.”, she muttered and sighs. Now that just left her with a new problem. Did Derek really feel the same? With what Isaac said and Derek's recent display of affection… It was confusing to her.
She wasn't supposed to catch feelings. It didn't end well when she did. It wasn't good.
Not that love itself wasn't a pleasant thought, it was the feeling of wanting to be loved sincerely that was the issue.
To know someone was actually infatuated with her, not just for a convenience. But being hurt over and over, it was hard to tell what was sincere and what wasn't when it comes to such a thing like "love".
It was complicated.
Even having to explain what happened to Coach was an issue.
"Then Stiles said that Scott and Kira were stuck in Mexico which is why they missed the game.", Liam explained quickly. "So we went down to Mexico to save them and drive them back out of Mexico and that's why we all missed practice." He finished as Malia nodded along with a nervous face.
Coach looked at Sam, and she gave him a weak smile and shrug. "You went to Mexico because Scott was kidnapped?"
"He's your best player, of course we did.", Sam said.
"Okay," Coach said with a nod. "I believe you."
"Really?!", Liam asked, hopeful.
"Absolutely not.", Coach shot him down. Sam rolled her eyes. She knew he was calling bullshit.
Coach shook his head. "But I've had experiences south of the border that would knock the genitals and ovaries off the five of you."
"Thanks, coach?", Sam raised an eyebrow.
"Still," he sighed and looked at the 5 students. "I'm glad you guys are okay because if anything happened to this one," He pointed at Liam. "And this one," he pointed at Scott. "I've got to be the worst coach ever. Don't make me look bad. He's your responsibility now. Watch over each other, look out for each other. Got it?"
The teens smiled and grinned at Liam proudly. Sam gave Liam a side hug. "We got it.", Scott answered.
"Wilson!", Coach yelled, making Sam jump. "Yes?", she replied.
"You go missing again and I don't know what I'll do. I didn't think I needed a manager until now.", he said, giving her a quick smile before disappearing into his office. Sam smiled and sighed.
The next few months passed by in a blur and the supernatural teens were finally seniors.
Sam, Lydia, Stiles, Scott, Malia, and Kira met up in the library, ready to do the traditional senior scribe in the library. Sam sighed as she waited her turn to write her initials. Scott walked over to her, placing an arm around her shoulders. “What’s up with you?”, he asked.
Sam smiled a bit. “Just can’t believe we’re already seniors. Despite everything, I’m really gonna miss this place.”
“We’re not leaving yet.”, he chuckled, dropping his arm. “Yeah, but these months are gonna go by fast.”, Stiles piped in. ''This isn't vandalism, is it?'', Kira asked Lydia, watching the girl nervously. ''Not technically,'' Lydia replied. Kira wrote down her initials and handed the sharpie to Malia. Malia finished and handed the sharpie to Sam.
She looked at all the initials before pausing. She saw a distinctive D.H. and a smile popped on her face once she saw a P.H. next to it. Sam wrote down her initials before writing a E.R, V.B., I.L., J.W., E.S and A.S. The thought of each comrade she’d come across, knowing they wouldn’t have been able to graduate alongside her and the others made her feel remorseful.
Scott moved next to her, and she handed him the sharpie. He glanced at all the initials she made and gave her a soft smile before writing his and an A.A. He handed the sharpie to another student before moving to wrap an arm around Kira’s shoulder.
The teens went their separate ways, heading to their own classes before finishing up the day and going home. Sam spent her time in her room, meditating deeply. She felt calm for a moment before she opened her eyes to see a hallway.
Instantly, she got defensive. What the hell was happening? They couldn’t catch a break for a moment. She walked through the dark hallway, simultaneously feeling for other people nearby.
She turned a corner and saw a familiar head of brown hair. "Liam…?", she called. The boy turned around quickly, his heart racing. "Sam?", he said shakily.
She walked up to him, placing a hand on his arm. "You okay?", she asked.
Liam swallowed, looking around nervously. "Is this a dream? I don't know what this place is. I don't like it."
"You and me both.", she said and looked around. She paused. A dream? She turned to Liam. "Did you fall asleep?"
He nodded. "I think so. I mean, I'm pretty sure. I took a shower and went to bed." He whimpered. "Don't tell me this is some Freddy Krueger stuff.", he complained dejectedly.
Sam sighed as she looked around. "I'd hope not. C'mon.", she said, leading him around the tunnels, feeling for the other bodies that were there.
She felt nervous as they seemed to be moving faster. Shit.
She practically tugged Liam around to avoid whoever this was. It may have been a dream for Liam, but she didn't fall asleep. Not during her mediation.
Something was off.
Whoever these people were wasn't normal. What the hell was Liam conjuring in his subconsciousness…?
Once they turned a corner, they were met with three figures that wore dark cloaks and gas masks.
Sam backed Liam away from the figures as their goggles stared back at the teens.
"Run, Liam.", Sam told him. "No, not without you!", Liam exclaimed fearfully. Sam pulled Liam away from the unfamiliar figures and dragged him off to a bright light ahead of them.
Sam's eyes instantly popped open as she took in a loud gasp. She looked around her room, seeing how it was dark now.
She instantly turned on her lights, seeing that she was alone in the room. She sensed her house and only felt her and her mom in the house before calling Liam.
Liam isn't picked up, his shaky voice on the other side. "That wasn't a dream… was it?"
"I'm afraid not.", Sam replied. They'd have to tell everyone else later.
The next day Stiles had stopped Sam in the hallways, out of breath.
''Hey, we need to talk.'' Sam looked at him in confusion as they walked to her locker. “About?”, she asked. He leaned against a locker. "You remember Theo from fourth grade?", he asked, and she stopped for a moment to think. Theo from fourth grade…
Sam was a student at Beacon Hills Elementary at the time. She remembered a boy being bullied and was gradually wheezing. Sam had stepped in to help, causing the boy’s bullies to turn on her.
Since then, she hadn't seen the boy.
She frowned before nodding a bit. ''Yeah, well, he's back and he's a werewolf.”, Stiles said, making her look at him in shock. “And there's something I don't trust him. He asked Scott to join the pack yesterday, but I feel like there’s a catch. We need to go see my dad.''
Sam nodded. “Okay.” Stiles was always paranoid and now rightfully so. If he was feeling off about someone, she wouldn’t argue until they found out why.
“I know his family left town around the time Theo was nine or ten,'' Stiles said as they sat in the sheriff’s office. ''His older sister died in an accident when he was eight.''
The sheriff frowned, already annoyed by his son’s antics. ''Please go to school.''
Sam gave him an apologetic smile as Stiles continued to talk, ''Dad, this kid's a werewolf.''
The sheriff nodded at Sam. ''Your best friends are werewolves. You are dating a were-coyote.'' Sam smiled while Stiles rolled his eyes. ''I still don't know what Kira's supposed to be.'', Sheriff said, waving his hand dismissively. ''When the flying monkeys come soaring through the station, you will have my undivided attention. Until then, Sam, please take him back to school.''
Stiles paused, scanning his dad over. ''What did you do?'', Stiles asked him. His dad frowned, confused. ''What?'' His dad asked. Then he looked at himself then back at Stiles. ''What do you mean, ''What did I do?''
Stiles looked at him up and down. ''There's something different about you.'', Stiles said, looking his dad over. ''What are you talking about?'', his dad asked. Stiles walked towards his dad and examined him, much to the sheriff’s confusion.
''What is it?'', Stiles muttered as Sheriff Stilinski looked at Sam with confusion before looking at his son once more.
His dad pushed him back and Stiles frowned at his father. ''For the love of God, Stiles, just go to school!''
Stiles pointed his finger at his dad, ''I will go if you promise to do a full background check of the Raekens.''
His dad shook his head, ''No. You know what? Just because I'm the only law enforcement officer who knows anything about this, does not make it my responsibility to do something every time you have a minor suspicion.''
''You're not the only one.'', Sam muttered, looking at Parrish from the windows. Stiles smiled triumphantly as his dad shook his head.
''Parrish!'' He yelled. The deputy looked up, looking at the three in the window.
The sheriff sent the teens to school after doing a background check and Sam left Stiles alone with Malia to rant. Lydia met up with Sam in the bustling hallways of new seniors and new underclassmen.
“How does the first day of senior year feel for you?”, Lydia asked with a smile. Sam sighed. “Can’t be too bad.”, she replied and looked at Lydia who looked to her left. Sam followed her line of sight and saw an unfamiliar face walk through the halls.
“Who’s he?”, Lydia muttered and Sam shrugged. The boy caught Sam’s eye and instantly smiled, picking up his pace as he walked over to the girls. Lydia glanced at Sam before backing away a bit.
“Hi.”, the boy said. Sam tilted her head in curiosity. “Hi?” The boy chuckled shyly and rubbed the back of his neck. “You probably don’t remember me, but I recognized you.” He held out his hand. “I’m Theo. Theo Raeken. From fourth grade.”
Sam’s eyes widened and she took his hand, shaking it and gave him a smile. He looked so much different from what she remembered. Although, it has been years and he looked so full of life. Probably thanks to the bite.
Who did he get bitten by, anyway?
“I’m shocked you remembered me. Haven’t seen you in a while.”, she said. He nodded, chuckling. “Yeah, well, had to give up the inhaler.”
Sam let out a small chuckle of her own. “It’s good to see you.” He nodded. “You too.”, he said, and nodded at Lydia before leaving. Sam let out a soft sigh before Lydia grabbed onto her. “He likes you.”, she whispered. Sam deadpanned. “Don’t start.”
Stiles wasn’t okay with the new appearance of the Raeken boy. He didn’t trust him at all. Scott did. His dad was no help at the moment. He could only rely on Sam. Sam wasn’t even sure either. What harm could Theo possibly do, knowing there’s a strong alpha in Beacon Hills now?
Sam sat in psychology, bored until the fire alarm went off. The students in her class all looked at each other before rushing out with other students.
Sam left the class and stopped as she saw Liam and Scott entering a class next to hers amongst the bustling students and immediately followed them. She saw the two boys and a girl. Tracy was her name. She stood at a desk in the back of the class with another student standing next to her.
Tracy had her hands on both sides of the desk as she breathed heavily. Scott glanced at Sam as she tried walking up to the girl.
Scott held her back and shook his head. “No.” Sam looked at him in disbelief. “Scott, what the hell is going on?”
He shook his head. “I-I dunno. She’s freaking out.” Sam pulled away. “Just lemme help.” Sam didn’t know what she was gonna do, but any help is good. She took cautious steps toward Tracy, holding out a hand.
She stopped once she saw that Tracy gripped the student's arm who let out a gasp of pain from the vice hold.
''Tracy,'' Sam called, warningly. ''Tracy,'' Scott called.
Tracy stared at the older werewolves, but her eyes held a distant look. Sam caught on as she stepped closer. Tracy’s breath became heavier.
''Tracy,'' Scott repeated as he stood by Sam. They saw as blood dripped from the student’s arm. ''She's hurting me.'', The student whimpered.
''Tracy, let go,'' Scott told her, but she wasn't responding. Sam got closer and heard Tracy muttering as she finally let go of the girl's arm. ''They're coming.'' Sam looked at Scott. ''They're coming for all of us.''
Tracy stood up and took a step forward but fell down on the floor and a silver liquid pooled out of her mouth. Sam knelt down to Tracy, grasping the girl. “Hey!”
Mr. Yukimura appeared. ''We have to get her out of here.'', Kira's dad said. Scott nodded in agreement and helped Sam get Tracy out of the room. They rushed out of the classroom and saw Stiles and Malia at the end of the hall. The couple opened the doors with widened, confused eyes and followed them out.
Scott had them rushing to Stiles' Jeep and struggled to put Tracy in the back of the Jeep without her spitting out whatever she had left in her system onto the seats before piling in.
Once Sam and Malia settled Tracy onto their laps, Tracy’s hand gripped Sam’s and her vision blackened before what she once saw was the jeep, now an unfamiliar room lightened by dimmed, flickering green lights.
She felt stuck. Bound. She looked around and saw a large capsule filled with a green liquid and a bandaged man was in it. To her left, there is a table. She turned and saw three familiar figures with the same gas masks from before.
She felt large hands grab onto her shoulders tightly and she couldn’t scream. She wanted to move. To run. To scream for help. Where the hell was she?
''Stop!”, she heard a voice. It was hers. “Get off of me! Stop!!”, she yelled as she saw one of the figures grab a syringe and aimed it toward her.
''Get her off of Sam!” Sam heard in the distance and the sight of Stiles’ jeep appeared once more. Stiles was driving fast, glancing back at Sam and Malia. Malia took Tracy’s hand away from Sam’s as she panted heavily. Scott looked at Sam, trying to settle her down.
“You okay?”, Scott asked. “Did she do anything? Are you bleeding?? Are you hurt?”, Stiles rushed as he drove.
Sam caught her breath and swallowed. “I’m fine.”
Sam glanced at Tracy. “You saw something, didn’t you? What was it?'', Scott asked. ''I— The other day, I was meditating and I had this vision, but it wasn’t a vision. It was Liam’s dream, but… I dunno how to explain it. We saw these people and they looked weird. They looked like…weird, fucked up doctors. They wore gas masks and cloaks. Tracy just said that “they're coming for all of us.” She looked at Scott. “This shit’s real.”
Her face turned grim as her eyes widened. “They might be after Liam.”
“What!?.'', Stiles exclaimed.
“They saw my face.”, she muttered. Scott frowned. “I won’t let anything to either of you.”, he promised.
Stiles parked his Jeep in front of the Animal Clinic and the teens got out, carrying Tracy inside the clinic. Deaton walked in front and his eyes widened once he saw Tracy.
''Come on.'' He led them to the back and Stiles and Scott placed Tracy on the metal table. Deaton grabbed a small flashlight and clicked on the button and opened one of Tracy's eyelids as he flashed the light to check her eyes.
''Pupils dilate under normal conditions.'', he stated. Deaton placed two of his fingers on her neck. ''Heartbeat is two-fifty.'' He moved her shirt to the side, checking her shoulder. ''Evidence of an allogeneic skin graft on the right shoulder.''
He fixed the shirt and looked at her lips. ''Now, this silvery substance on her lips is not something I've seen. It almost looks like mercury.''
Her body jerked a bit and Stiles and Sam instantly took a step back, ''Uh…''
''Can't you just give her a shot of something?',' Malia asked.
''She doesn't look to be in any pain.'', Deaton replied. ''I meant a shot to kill her.”, Malia corrected and Sam looked at her with wide eyes. “Malia, we talked about this.”, Sam scolded.
''I generally prescribe to a code of ethics that frowns on such measures,'' Deaton explained.
''Malia, you know we're not going to do that.'', Scott told her.
''How do you know she's not going to kill us?'', Malia asked Scott. ''She makes a decent point.'' Stiles said, pointing at Malia. ''Either way, eventually, I'm going to have to let my dad know that she's here.''
''Agreed.'', Deaton agreed with a nod. “And while I may argue against euthanasia, I'm not opposed to a little…'' He trailed off and grabbed a jar that has a small symbol on it. ''Extra security.''
He opened the jar, throwing out mountain ash. Stiles frowned at the substance. The supernatural teens couldn’t get out, but he could. It was a bad idea. Deaton noticed the worried look he has on his face, ''Don't worry, Stiles. Tracy won't be able to cross a line of Mountain Ash.''
''She won't go anywhere.'', Deaton assured. ''Yeah, that's kind of what I'm afraid of.''. Stiles said.
''She's an experiment.'', Sam suddenly said. They looked at her as she stared at Tracy. The syringes, the gas masks, the weird outfits, the room… It was more than suspicious.
''What kind of experiment?'', Deaton asked and Sam shook her head. “I don’t know. But the vision I saw and Liam’s dream… Wherever she was before this, they were experimenting on her.” Deaton frowned as he looked down at Tracy. ''Stiles and I will only be the ones able to get out if something happens. You three,'' He looked at Malia, Scott and Sam, ''not so much.''
“Yeah.”, Sam muttered. Malia frowned and turned her head and moved her hand toward the barrier. Once she couldn’t get her hand through, she pulled away. ''Weird.''
''Scott, would you mind holding her down?'', Deaton asked the young alpha as he grabbed a scalpel. ''I'm going to try a few more invasive tests.'' He placed the tool against her arm and pressed against the girl’s skin but couldn't get through it. He frowned and pressed the knife once more, but it broke in half. He held it up and stared at it in shock.
''I think you're gonna need a bigger blade.'', Stiles stated. Sam frowned and leaned against a wall. What were they? Why were they so threatening? What were they trying to test?
''Now, that's interesting.'', Deaton said, snapping Sam out of her thoughts.
Scott's phone vibrated and everyone looked at him. ''What's up?'', Sam asked. Scott looked down at his phone.
''It's my mom. She's saying that driver’s awake and talking.''
Scott's phone vibrated again and her read out loud once more. ''Driver didn't have a stroke or heart attack. Says it was more like his body just locked up…''
''Like he was paralyzed.'', Stiles stated. ''I think I know what she is.''
Sam sighed in frustration, hoping it wasn’t what she thought it was. ''Do you care to enlighten the rest of us?'', Deaton asked him. ''Because this doesn't look too good.''
''Please, don't let it be another fucking Kanima.'', Sam groaned and walked over to the metal table as Deaton lifted her shirt up. The teens watched the girl's spine move.
Sam’s face scrunched a bit. “Well, that’s just nasty.”
Deaton poked Tracy's spine with his finger as it continued to move under her skin. Suddenly an opening of her back burst and blood splattered on Scott, Deaton and Sam, much to the girl’s disgust. Sam took a shocked step back, stumbling on her feet as she fell down.
She ducked and watched as Tracy moved upwards, then a tail came out her back and hit Stiles in the face. Groaning, Stiles fell onto the ground, before the tail hit Deaton in the face.
Sam’s body felt stiff before she finally fell backwards. ''I fucking hate those things.”, she muttered after Tracy left, much to everyone’s shock. “It didn’t work!?”, she yelled.
Sam watched as Scott collapsed on the floor next to her.
''Not a werewolf.'', Stiles said. ''Hey, uh, Deaton. How the hell did she get through the mountain ash?''
''I don't know.'', the vet answered. ''So she is an experiment?'', Sam muttered.
''I don't know how they succeeded if she was. But this is breaking the rules of the supernatural if she is.'', Deaton explained. ''Because it's a barrier no supernatural creatures should be able to cross.''
''Scott did it!'', Stiles and Sam said.
''Once, but it almost killed me.'', Scott told them.
''We should've killed her.'', Malia growled angrily. ''Meanwhile, she's probably on her way to kill someone else.'', Stiles muttered.
Deaton spoke up, ''Listen, everyone. We need to concentrate. Scott, Malia and Sam, you three will probably be able to move long before Stiles and I can. But you need to focus.''
''Healing.'', Scott answered. ''That's right.'', Deaton agreed.
''I don't know how to heal my body yet. I was only able to heal Aiden.'', she said and Malia agreed.
''Malia, calm down. It's okay…'', Stiles assured. ''I can't calm down.”, Malia huffed. "I can't move.''
''It won't last long.'', Scott told her. ''We're going to be okay. Doc, how do we focus?''
''Think of a body part.”, Deaton said. ''Your hands, your feet, even just the tips of your fingers.'' Sam closed her eyes and took a deep breath. ''Imagine them moving. Set it in your mind and your body will follow.'', Deaton encouraged.
Sam felt her body moving and heard a gasp. Her eyes popped open once she saw she was standing up. A small black blob floated in front of her face and she looked down. Her body was wrapped around a dark, nearly sheer liquid-like substance that kept her upright. Her feet weren’t even touching the floor, but it was a start.
“That’s…something.”, she heard Deaton say. Sam chuckled and felt her toes before wiggling them.
''Okay, unfair.'', Stiles complained. ''I'm pretty sure I felt my right leg move.'' He let out a groan. ''Uh, yeah, definitely felt it. Like a twinge, spasm, something.'' He let out another groan.
''I'm going to have to disagree,'' Deaton told him, whose legs were laid close against Stiles’. ''And I think I hold an informed opinion.''
''Malia.'', Scott said, and Sam turned to look at Malia. Her eyes widened. “I can move.”, she muttered before dropping to the floor, unsteady.
''I don't think she cut me that deep.'', Malia told them as her fingers wiggled. Deaton encouraged, ''Keep going. Keep moving.''
She let out a groan as she was able to move her arm. She gripped on the cabinets behind her and pushed on them, so she could stand up.
''What's happening?'', Stiles asked. ''I can't see.''
Sam was able to get the feeling back in one of her legs as she watched as Malia grunted in pain once she steadied herself. Malia stood up and she grabbed the table as she almost fell back down on the floor. ''Malia, hold on!'', Sam exclaimed.
''There's no time.'', Malia protested.
''Look, she's not a werewolf.'', Stiles said, panicked. ''But she has a scent.'', Malia countered. ''I can find her.''
“You’re definitely not going alone.”, Sam opposed. ''Malia.'', Scott said and she looked at him. ''Save her.'', he said, making Sam look at him in disbelief.
She grunted as she slowly reached for the door, then took off. ''Guys, I can move my toes.'', Stiles declared.
Sam turned to look at him. “You might wanna move faster.”, Sam said and felt a hand on her shoulder, quickly turning around to see Theo Raeken. “You okay?”, he asked. She absently nodded.
“What the-” Theo went to help Scott up before helping Stiles up. ''How did you find us?'' Scott asked. '''Cause you work here.'', Theo replied, getting Deaton up. ''I heard about Tracy; I've been looking for you two.''
''We lost her.'', Scott said to Theo. ''And Malia.'', Stiles added.
''I can help.'', Theo reassured. ''Let me help.''
''We don't need your help anymore.'', Stiles retorted. ''They’re at the Sheriff's station.
''Okay, well, who's going to drive?'', Theo asked. ''None of you are in the best condition to drive.'' Scott looked at him. ''Look, it doesn't have to mean I'm part of the pack. Or like you accepted me or anything like that. It just means I can help catch this girl or, well, at least, let me drive you there. I can help to stop her.''
Scott looked at Sam then at Stiles, who just gave him a look. Scott looked unsure. ''Scott. I can help you.'', Theo repeated. Sam’s eyebrows furrowed. He was persistent… Much like her when Scott first got bitten, just like Liam… but it wasn’t pressing. Like he was looking for something.

“What about you Y/n?” You hear Morgan’s voice as you finish up your last report, adding it to the finished pile. You slide your chair towards his desk, Morgan’s foot stopping it before it hit Garcia’s legs. “Craziest thing you saw or dealt with in LA before you quit your job as a cop? Go.”
“Oh, um,” You chuckle. “I could probably go on forever. A lot of weird shit happens in LA.”
“Top 3?”
“Top 3? Okay, first I had a case where a woman killed her husband because he refused to leave their cottage in her name. When my partner and I investigated we found out that she buried him within the walls of their house.”
“Oh my god, no!” Garcia groans.
“Second has to be when I had my right hand inside a man’s chest for nine hours. He was in a really bad car accident and he wouldn’t have made it to the hospital in time so I had to open him up in the middle of the street in order to stop him from bleeding out.”
“That sounds so cool,” Emily beamed, her chin resting on her right hand.
“There goes my dinner,” Garcia spoke.
“His sternum was severely messed up which caused his heart and one of his big blood vessels to start bleeding into his stomach.”
“Wow! It sounds just like that episode from Grey's Anatomy where Meredith had her hand inside that guy's chest. Remember the one who had the bomb inside him? How did it feel to have your hand in someone’s chest?”
“One of my favourite episodes. Uh, it was umm sor- It was bloody and it got worse,” You shrug. “I passed out on the OR floor.” You chuckle thinking about the whole situation and how ridiculous it sounds saying it out loud.
Morgan and Emily crack up laughing as you shake your head. “Yeah, I remember that whole week being so chaotic but that took the cake.”
“Third?” Spencer asks.
“Oh, this one is top on my list. In 2016, there were killer clowns on the loose in Los Angeles.”
“Nah uh. Nope!” Morgan shakes his head as you notice him tense up at the mention of clowns.
“Morgan has coulrophobia,” JJ said giggling at Morgan.
“What really?” You asked, JJ nodded.
“Oh yeah, Morgan’s not a fan of Halloween, people in costumes or masks.”
“Listen,” Morgan put his hand out. “Costumes and masks give me the hibbie jibbies. Just no.”
“Hey everyone knows you're terrified of clowns but no one here knows why exactly you're terrified of them. What’s the story behind clowns?” Emily asks.
Morgan puts five fingers up. “I had evil older cousins.”
“Oh!!” Everyone laughs.
“Morgan,” You pat his shoulder. “I was traumatized by my older cousins too but don’t worry their all going to hell.”
“I just don’t like the way they look, with the red nose, and all that face paint and masks,” Morgan explains.
“You know the fear of clowns usually stems from the feeling of not knowing what’s going on underneath the mask or costume,” You still remember the words of your captain.
“I just don’t care. If I were to see a clown I will hands down punch it.” Garcia and you just laugh at how passionately Morgan seemed about his hate for clowns.
“2016 was a fucking weird year for LA. It started out as a harmless prank but people just took it too far. I think the LAPD arrested close to 2,000 clowns,” You sounded so ridiculous saying this out loud.
“I just glad weird fucking shit doesn’t happen here in Washington.”
“What would you do if a clown showed up at your apartment?” Spencer asked as
Morgan glared at him. “Why would you ever say such a thing?” Morgan spat, getting upset. “I’d probably kick its ass.”
“Morgan you're scared of like,” Emily waves her hand around. “Everything.” She laughs. “Remember that case we had NYC, and it was Halloween? You were so annoyed that people had decorations up.”
“Oh,” JJ faces lights up. “I remember that and the woman's husband who we were trying to find had a cage full of birds! Morgan, you were terrified of those birds!”
“Okay, can we not do this right now?!” Morgan looked annoyed.
“What’s your problem with birds?” You ask.
“I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Well, actually one time Mor-”
“Baby girl, don't you dare say a word!” Morgan warns her as Garcia puts her hands up.
“Hey! That’s not fair, how come Garcia knows the story but not the rest of us?” Emily asks.
“That’s because I was there,” Garcia sips her tea, looking over at you.
“What type of person is scared of birds?” Spencer asks, shaking his head as Morgan sat up in his chair.
“Reid, Reid don’t move but there’s a spider on your shoulder!” Morgan yells as Spencer jumps up from his chair, violently wiping his shoulder.
“GET IT OFF! GET IT OFF! EMILY!!” Spencer continues to move around as you all lose it watching Spencer running around frantically.
“Emily, is it gone?!” He asks, as Emily is holding onto her sides, JJ leaning into her as Garcia was wiping away tears. Morgan's face was tomato red from laughing as you felt like you couldn’t breathe. “Guys! This isn’t funny! Is it gone? Where is it? Please, ser-” You could hear the panic in Spencer’s voice.
“Spencer!” You called. “There was nothing there,” You say, giggling.
“What?”
“Morgan was just pulling your leg,” You playfully smack the back of Morgan’s head as he continues to laugh at Spencer distraught condition. Spencer glares over at Morgan as he grabs the small hand exercise ball off his desk and throws it, hitting Morgan in the face. Everyone bursts out laughing.
“What was that for?”
“For what you just did to me,” Spencer says, putting a hand on his chest.
“Why are you scared of spiders, pretty boy?” Morgan questions.
“I just don’t like them. All their legs and fu-” Spencer shutters at the thought of them.
“Did I ever tell one time Spen-”
“Morgan don’t!”
“Spencer called me over one time because there was a spider on his bedroom ceiling. When I got to his apartment, he was wearing doughnut and smiley faces boxers while trying to kill a spider with a mop.”
“Shut up, your lying!” Emily looks over at Spencer.
“That didn’t actually happen,” Spencer’s face was flushed red with embarrassment.
“Didn’t it?” Morgan holds out his phone, playing a video of Spencer trying to kill the spider.
“This is the best thing ever!” Emily exclaimed.
“YOU MADE A VIDEO?!” Spencer shrieked.
“And I’m not ashamed to admit that I watch it at least twice a day because that video right there is pure gold, baby!” Morgan cheers.
“Who else have you shown that to?” Spencer asked.
“Oh just you guys,” Morgan replies. “My sisters.”
“Oh my god.”
“My mom loved your smiley face and doughnut boxers.”
“YOU SHOWED THIS VIDEO TO YOUR MOM?!” Spencer exclaimed as Garcia kept replaying to the part where Spencer runs behind Morgan.
“Look at his face!” She yells as you and Emily grabbed onto each other from laughing so hard.
“One thing is for sure after watching this video,” JJ says. “Both Spencer and Morgan radiate so much chaotic energy off each other.”
“Yes!” You say, giving her a high five.
“Hey Y/n, did I ever tell you about the time Morgan showed up at my apartment drunk?” Spencer asks and you shake your head. “While wearing nothing but briefs.”
“I don’t think so.”
“Oh you wouldn’t!” Morgan threatens.
“Watch me!” Spencer leans over and whispers in your ear.
“OH MY GOD MORGAN! You look over at him. “Seriously?”
“What’s going on out here?” You hear a deep voice from behind you, turning around you see Hotch walking down the catwalk.
“How come I didn’t know about Morgan's dirty past?” You ask, folding your arm. Without even asking Hotch knew exactly what you were referring to.
“I’m unfriending you all,” Morgan points to everyone as Garcia leans into him, giggling.
“Everyone here knows a little bit too much about Morgan’s sex life,” Hotch points out.
“Hotch, not you too man,” Morgan groans.
Hotch leaned against Emily’s desk as he looks around at you all teasing and laughing with each other. Though Hotch could hear the laughter from his office, he couldn’t help but walk out and join the chaos. It was times like this, that Hotch was beyond thankful to have you all apart of his life. He could always count on you guys to add the sweet and spice to your guy's solemn life.
“What are you all still doing here? Your shift ended half hour ago,” Hotch looks down at his clock.
“Oh shoot!” JJ said, quickly grabbing her bag. “I gotta pick up Henry from my moms.” She bid her goodbyes and headed out.
“What about the rest of you? Don’t have any plans?”
“I have a date but that’s not until Wednesday,” Morgan says as you all just stare blankly at him. “At 7pm.” You smirk at him. “What?”
“Today is Wednesday you dumbass,” You said. “You just stood up your date by a half-hour.”
“Oh shit!” Morgan scrambled for his things, beelining for the elevator. “If I don’t get laid tonight, it’s all your guy's fault and drinks are on you guys for a whole month!” He yells behind him.
“Twenty bucks say his date going to cuss him off for being late, leaving him hanging,” You say.
“Forty bucks say that Morgan is going to get laid and that we’re all going to hear about over coffee tomorrow morning,” Hotch said dropping forty bucks on the table, walking away leaving you all in shock.

Sy woke the next morning wrapped around a warm body and a steady heart beat in his ear, he tipped his head back and was met with Lily's sleeping face, his head pillowed on her breasts. He smiled, hugging his arms snugger around her waist and sighed, comfortable and peaceful, nuzzling his face into her chest.
Lily moaned softly, making Sy smile against the fabric of the night shirt she was wearing, her hand moved against the broad expanse of his back, fingertips sleepily caressing his spine, unconsciously soothing him, before moving between his shoulder blades, tickling the nape of his neck and rubbing the back of his head with her palm.
He vaguely remembered her calling his name and holding him after his nightmare, whispering into his ear that he was safe and at home, with her. Lily made the choice to bring him to her bed, comforting him even more, until he fell asleep, and for the first time in years, Sy actually dreamt about something other than war and endless spaces of bloody sand.
Reaching up, Sy brushed his fingers through her bangs, smiling. “My Angel.” He whispered, not wanting to wake her.
Carefully unwrapping himself from around her, Sy slipped out of bed and gingerly covered Lily up, before tip toeing downstairs to the kitchen. Scratching the back of his head for a moment, Sy moved about the kitchen, setting up the coffee maker, pulled out the skillet and started making breakfast. He figured she had been making him breakfast every morning for the last several months, it was time for him to return the favor.
So, Sy went all out, once he had everything made, he brought it upstairs to her.
Lily took a deep breath and moaned, stretching and rolling onto her back, but found Sy was no longer in bed with her. She sat up, panicked that something had happened to him, and was about to get out of bed to look for him, when he appeared in the bedroom door, relieved he was all right.
“Morning.” He smiled, finding her sitting up.
“Did you make breakfast?” She frowned as he approached her side of the bed.
“I did.” He nodded, setting her steaming cup of tea on her bedside table. “I thought, since you always make me breakfast, that I'd make you breakfast this go around.” Sy explained, setting the tray of food over her lap.
“What's better than breakfast in bed?”
“Nothing currently comes to mind.” Lily smiled, a soft blush on her cheeks, actually pleasantly surprised at this change of events, touched at Sy’s sweet gesture.
“I didn't think so.” Sy chuckled, pulling up the chair that was at a small desk in her room and sat down, balancing his own plate of food in his lap.
“So, what's on your agenda today, Captain?” She asked, taking a sip of her tea and was surprised to find it was exactly to her liking.
“I think, it's time I started working on the roof.” He replied, bringing his fork to his mouth. “I want to at least give it some temporary patches, before the weather turns.” He told her, after swallowing. “It'll also give me a chance to find out what all the problems with it are, and if I'll need to re-roof it.”
“I hope not.” Lily frowned, washing down some of her food with a gulp of tea.
“Well, from what I've seen on the ground, it looks to be the original roof that was put on when the house was built.” He chuckled at her, setting his empty plate on her nightstand. “That was nearly a century ago.”
“Unless, you know about it being replaced since then?” He asked her, tilting his head.
“The realtor didn't mention it to me.” Lily replied, searching her mind for any scrap of memory of the day she bought the place.
“That's all right.” Sy assured her, gently touching her hand. “I'll get it done, don't you worry.”
Lily smiled at him, turning her hand to thread her fingers with his. “I'm not worried, since you're the one on the case.” She replied, softly.
Sy grinned at her, bringing her hand to his mouth and kissed her fingers, before letting go and collecting their plates. “You know, what would you say, if I managed to install a dishwasher for you?” He asked, pausing in the doorway of her bedroom.
“I have a dishwasher.” Lily giggled, holding up her hands and wiggling her fingers at him.
“You know what I mean, sugar butt.” He laughed, smirking even broader at her.
Lily shrugged, still giggling at him, her cheeks coloring at his nickname. “I don't know, Bear. I've never had one before.”
“Well then, Angel, I'll riddle that one out for you.” He promised in a soft voice.
“I believe you.” She whispered back, giddy, and not for a dishwasher.

“I'm going to check the mail.” Lily said, drying her hands on a dish towel, after washing the dishes from lunch.
“All right.” Sy nodded, still sitting at the table.
Sy had stood to refill his coffee cup, when the phone rang. Biting his lip and glancing out of the kitchen, he saw Lily was too far down the driveway to call her back to answer it, so he picked it up instead; clearing his throat.
“Moore residence.” He spoke into the receiver.
“She's a sweet thing, isn't she?” A sinister voice asked from the other end.
“Excuse you?” Sy barked, a flash of hot anger bursting through his body.
“Oh yes.” The voice chuckled, incredibly delighted. “She is sweet as a Lily, so pure and good.”
“Who is this?” Sy demanded with a deep growl, his teeth gritted and bared as he gripped the handle of the phone even tighter in his hand.
“She's mine, you know.” They growled back at Sy, breathing heavily, their own anger mounting. “She's always been mine and she will always be mine.”
“Not anymore.” Sy hissed back and slammed the phone down in its cradle.
“Sy?” Lily frowned, coming into the kitchen as he hung up the phone. “Who was that?”
“I don't know, you tell me?” He replied, turning towards her, brows drawn together.
“I'm not the one that answered it, Austin.” She countered, shaking her head, confused by his anger.
“It was some guy, said you were his, always had been and would be.” Sy told her, pushing his jaw forward.
Lily's eyes glassed over, letting out a shuddering breath and started trembling. Sy blinked at her, his anger at the caller's words melting away to alarmed concern. He took a step forward, reaching out for her, but Lily stumbled away from him, tears finally spilling free.
“Lily.” He whispered softly, his chest tight. “Easy.” He cooed at her, licking his lips.
“I'm not his, not anymore.” She whimpered, shaking her head. “Why can't he just leave me be.”
Sy blinked at her, frowning harder. “What?”
“Nothing.” Lily mewled, biting her lip.
“No, come on.” He coaxed her, resting his hand on her arm and gently pulled her against him. “Tell me.” He whispered, gently rubbing her back.
“I thought I got away from him.” She sniffled against his shirt. “Thirteen hundred miles away from him. I was so careful—so careful.” She mumbled, hands clinging onto the sides of his shirt. “I don't-I don't know how he found me—unless...”
“Unless?” Sy frowned, still slowly rubbing her back and trying to process what she was telling him. “Sit down.” He said, moving them towards the breakfast table and pulled out a chair for her, before bringing the other one around from the other side to sit beside her.
“Start at the beginning.”
Lily cleared her throat and stared down at her hands, folded in her lap. “I was born and raised in Middleburg, Virginia. You know, that I'm an only child and that my mom died, when I was born. I was raised by my grandparents, because my dad was in and out of my life, before just finally disappearing from it, when I was nineteen.” She explained to him, licking her lips.
“He blamed me for my mom's death.” She added, quietly.
Sy reached out and rested his hand on her thigh, squeezing it gently, and gave her a sweet smile.
“When I was seventeen, I met a boy at church, Jak.” Lily continued to explain to him. “It was the only time I really got to interact with others, my grandparents were strict, homeschooling me and only really letting me out of the house, unless they were with me, which was usually only for church on Sunday.” She fidgeted, shyly. “He was the only boy to show any interest in me, which didn't and did surprise me. The little house on the prairie dresses my grandma made me wear, and the glasses I had back then, you could see the moon through them.” She chuckled, cheeks colored.
Sy smiled back at her, even picturing her as a little girl like that, he still found her beautiful.
“But, Jak didn't care, or at least he didn't say or show he did. I would sneak out at night to meet him in the apple orchard my grandfather grew. It had been in our family since the Revolutionary War, the land was given to my, how many times, great-grandfather as payment for his service in the war.”
“I bet it's beautiful.” Sy commented, warmed at the thought.
“They are, so many of the trees are the original ones that were planted.” She smiled back, picturing the orchard in her mind. “The first one that was ever planted, after he cleared away the land, is still there and yielding, there's a plaque staked by its roots, and people come from all around to see it and the orchard, the Warren Apple.”
Sy rested back in his chair. “Your family owns the Warren Orchard Company? You're one of those Warrens?”
“I am.” She nodded, smiling proudly at that fact, but it vanished.
“Anyway, Jak and I would sneak every moment we could to see each other. He even got a job, during the summer, in the orchard, so we could see each other even more.” She took a deep breath, letting it out softly. “But, a year after we met and started being sweet on each other, my grandparents lodged a missionary for his two year mission in our ward. Jak thought he and I were getting close, that my grandparents had actually brought him to live with us, so he and I could court and marry.”
“He grew jealous and possessive. I was stupid, naive and young, I didn't know what was happening, that he was being abusive, until it was almost far too late.”
“What happened, that caused you to realize it?” Sy asked, tilting his head at her.
“I met Jak in the orchard one night, when I was twenty, the day after the missionary went back home to Michigan, because his two years were up. When I got there, Jak was pacing, already angry. Livid. When he saw me, he started yelling about how he had seen me kissing the missionary, how we practically ate each other's faces on the back porch, while everyone else was in the house, during his farewell party.” She said, glancing out the window behind the breakfast table.
“Of course, I hadn't been. Matt, the Missionary, and I had been on the back porch together, I had gone out there to get away from the press of all the people and he went out there to check on me. We had hugged, only the once, since doing so isn't really acceptable, two not courting, unchaperoned kids. But, we did nothing more, before going back inside. The truth didn't matter to Jak though, he had his version of what he saw and it was unchangeable.” Lily bit her lip and gripped Sy's wrist as his hand still laid on her thigh. “He lost his temper and hit me, but in my love sick stupidity, I didn't break it off there or tell my grandparents about it.”
“Instead, I enrolled in a university for Photography and Web Design, moved out of my grandparents' place and into one with him, like an idiot.”
“You weren't an idiot, Lily.” Sy told her, shaking his head and slipping his hand into hers. “It's more common than you think.”
“I know it is.” She sighed, clinging onto his hand.
“He only got worse and it got harder for me to get my school work done, with him accusing me that I was sleeping with my project partners, even teachers.” She huffed, shaking her head at his allegations, that now sounded so ridiculous. “The straw that broke the camel's back was,” She paused, biting and licking her lips, fighting down a bubble of emotions and memories. “One of my project mates called to ask me about the faux website we were designing for a fake company we had to make up, cause she wanted to know what time was good for us to meet up, and Jak answered the phone, claimed he heard a guy in the background, throwing the phone across the living room and went ballistic, saying I was having her call me to set up a time for me and the guy he heard, to try and fool him.”
“He spent the next hour going to town on me.” She said, glancing up at him, the hint and meaning in her eyes.
“Afterwards, he went to work and I packed a bag. I had some money from the family orchard business, so I took a good portion of it, bought a greyhound bus ticket to a cousin I was close to in New Jersey, Maggie, and stayed with her, knowing he wouldn't find me there, my grandparents wouldn't think I'd go there, and she wouldn't ever rat on me. While I was there, I petitioned for a name change, from Liliana Warren to Lily Ana Moore, and finished my degree, then found this place and moved out here.”
“So, how do you think he found you?” Sy asked, worried about her safety and angry that this asshole had the audacity to hurt her and wanted to try and hurt her again, but he kept a lid on his temper, not wanting to frighten her anymore than she already was.
“I've been keeping tabs on my grandparents, mostly through my cousin.” Lily answered, biting her lip. “She called me a year ago, to tell me that my grandmother had a stroke, a pretty bad stroke at that. She's apparently wheelchair bound now. Maggie went down there to visit them, and my grandfather was talking about how he needed someone to work on the company website, when Maggie let it slip that I have a web design business.”
“Oh.” Sy let out, eyes wide.
“Yeah.” She nodded back. “So, of course, they got upset, understanding that Maggie knew what had happened to me and where I was and all that. She called afterwards, apologizing up and down to me for it. She didn't tell them where I was or anything like that, just that I was safe and fine, and if I wanted to contact them, I would.”
“Did you?”
“I did.” Lily sighed, voice tight. “I figured after four years, I owed them a call.”
“So, do you think they told Jak?”
“I don't know.” She shrugged. “But, a week after I called them, I started getting hang up calls, then calls where no one would say anything for a few minutes, before hanging up. Then, two months ago, I got a call that was different from the others, he said something to me, and a month ago, he said something being soon.”
The wires connected in Sy's brain. “That's what caused you to take all those pills.”
Lily gulped and bit her lip, eyes burning, as she nodded her head. “Ye-ah.” She choked, fear and anxiety starting to mount inside of her again.
“Hey, hey.”
Sy cooed, wrapping his arms around her and pulled her into his lap, hugging her against his chest. “It's all right, Lily. It's going to be all right, I promised to protect you and I will. You are safe with me, you will always be safe with me, whatever the cost.” He whispered in her ear, holding her close and planning ways and means to protect her.

“Sy?” Lily called from the open door of her bedroom, just as Sy stepped out of the hall bathroom, in nothing, but a pair of black boxers.
“Lily?” He replied, rubbing the towel over his head, and looked up at her, lifting a brow, inquisitively.
Lily rested her hand on the handle of her door and stepped sideways, giving a little motion of her head into her room, a soft and offering expression on her face. Sy blinked at her, surprised, then down at Aika, who sat in the doorway of his room, feeling like he was picking what lady to sleep with for the night.
He tilted his head at Aika and gave her a sympathetic expression.
“Sorry, Girl.” He whispered to the Shepherd, turning towards Lily.
Lily chuckled at him, smiling and shaking her head as he passed by her and into her room. “You can come too, Aika.” She called to her, then turned into her room.
“You're cool with this?” Sy asked, eyes motioning to her bed.
“It was my idea, wasn't it?” She smiled at him, then stepped inside her closet for a moment and came back in a t-shirt-like nightie with Mickey Mouse on it, before pulling down the blankets and crawling into bed.
“It was.” He nodded, then laid down with her, covering up.
Lily scooted closer to him and Sy draped his arm over her waist, tucking her against him and she let him lay his head on her chest, stroking his arm. She was comfortable with the warm weight of his body against hers, the clean scent of his skin and hair from his shower. She felt Sy's body slowly melt into hers as he fell asleep, it had been her plan. Lily knew there was a high likelihood of Sy having another episode or nightmare, but figured, if he was there, with her, already safe and comfortable in her arms, he wouldn't have it.
That was her deepest hope, at least.
But, the next thing Lily knew, she was being jerked roughly off the bed and pinned underneath Sy's mountainous weight, his heavy and hot breath puffing against the side of her face as he blanketed her with his body, clearly startled and on high alert. The room lit up with a quick flash of lightning and the furious sound of rain beating on all parts of the house filled the bedroom around them.
“Austin.” She gasped, grasping the back of his arms, nails digging into his sweaty skin, thinking he had been set off by the noise of the sudden storm. “Aust-”
“Ssshhh.” He hushed her, lips brushing her temple, the hairs of his beard tickling her skin. “Stay here.” He whispered into her ear, then moved off of her and out of the room, Aika sitting in the open doorway and growling into the darkness of the hallway after him.
Lily sat up on her elbows, knowing that what was happening couldn't have been from one of Sy's nightmares or the storm, because Aika wouldn't be acting like this, she was angry, like she was daring something Lily couldn't see to try and cross her. But, nothing came, not even Sy, and Lily was starting to get worried. So, getting up, she edged around Aika and tip toed downstairs, jerking at another boom of thunder and crack of lightning, until she found Sy standing in the entryway.
“Austin?” She called out to him, over the sound of the rain, which sounded much louder downstairs.
“I told you to stay upstairs.” He barked, not looking back at her.
“What's wrong?” She asked, knowing there had to be something, by the tone of his voice.
“Nothing, just go back to bed.”
Narrowing her eyes, Lily stepped closer to him and her eyes grew wide, seeing what had caused Sy to wake up and react like he had. The large bay window in the den that faced out onto the porch and the front of the property was smashed, the glitter of the broken glass shined in the lightning strikes and left the outline of the brick amongst them, the cause of the broken window. Lily's eyes snapped out the living room window, expecting to see someone, not just someone, but Jak, to be standing out in the yard, staring back at them. But, there was no one, but her and Sy's cars. Her heart started to race and pound, making her feel dizzy and lightheaded, trembling so hard she almost lost her balance, but caught herself on the back of the couch.
Sy turned and grabbed her, picking her up in his arms and carried her back up to bed. “Stay here.” He ordered her, pointing a stiff finger at her, then went back downstairs.
Going out back, Sy grabbed a large piece of plywood he had bought in preparation for repairing the roof and instead used it to board up the broken window, until the storm passed and morning came, so he could find a piece of glass to replace it, leaving him and the den floor mostly wet. He moped the den floor and laid out nearly every towel Lily had in the house in hopes the old floorboards wouldn't warp under the water damage.
He stepped out onto the porch for a moment, glaring into wet dark. “This is my house now.” He growled, knowing Jak was still out there somewhere nearby. “My girl.” He hissed, before turning back inside, going up to the guest room to change into a dry pair of boxers and joined Lily back in her bed.
“It was him.” She mumbled, hugging her pillow to her chest. “It had to be him.”
Sy sighed softly, locking his arms around her waist and hugged her to his chest, curving his body around hers. He didn't know what to say to her, they both knew it had to be Jak, who else would have thrown a brick through someone's window in the middle of a storm like this one, especially after all the other incidents over the last several months; all the lines drew back to Jak on his unhealthy, possessive rampage to reclaim Lily as his own. Sy was afraid that if he verbalized his agreement with her, it would only inflate her already inflamed fear of the obvious.
So, he just clutched her tighter to him, pressing his lips to her shoulder and squeezing his eyes shut against the bright flashes of lightning.

“Lily, I'm going to go to town, I have something I need to pick up.” He told her, searching the living room for his car keys.
“I thought you already ordered the new windowpane?” Lily called back, appearing out of the kitchen, where she was washing the dishes.
“I did.” He nodded, he had found a shop that he could order a replacement windowpane for the den window that morning, but it wouldn't be ready until the next day. “This is for something else.” He told her, finding his keys under a magazine on the coffee table.
“What are you going for, then, Bear?” She asked, tilting her head at him.
Sy paused and regarded her. “Don't worry about it, Angel. I'll be back in an hour.” He told her, then, went out.
“Okay.” Lily frowned, glancing out the living room window, the thunder and lightning had passed during the early morning, but it was still raining cats and dogs.
Sighing, Lily turned back into the kitchen, taking a bucket and mop out of the utility closet, filled the bucket with warm water and soap, before getting down to mopping the floors, with nothing else to do in the current weather.

Sy rushed out to his truck, but was still almost half soaked by the time he settled himself in the driver's seat. Turning on the car and cranking on the heat, Sy pulled off the property and headed towards Celina. He pulled into the small parking center the small town had, scanning the rain blurred signs, looking for the one he was heading for, before opening the door and rushing towards it, pulling open the door, with an electric ding, announcing his presence.
“How can I help you?” the shop owner asked, coming out of a small room in the back and stopped behind a long glass case.
“Yeah, I'm looking for something specific.” Sy replied, stopping on the other side of the glass case, a look of understanding in both men's eyes.
“What specifics would that be?”
“Taurus, PT111 G2, 9mm.” Sy rattled off with familiar ease.
“Do you have a license and ID?” The store owner asked, eyes scanning the case between them.
“Then, some.” Sy laughed, pulling out his wallet to show the man his qualifications.
“You're a retired Captain.” The man noted, seeing Sy's military ID.
“That I am.” Sy chuckled, grinning with some pride.
The store owner got Sy squared away with the weapon he wanted, a secure case and a couple rounds of ammo, while also chattering about the military, being a retired Staff Sergeant himself. Getting back into his truck, he put the case under the passenger seat, pausing to stare at it for a moment,emotions and thoughts brewing inside of him, then shook them off. Satisfied, Sy went back home to Lily, finding her dusting the living room, when he came in, carrying the case and sat it down on the coffee table.
Lily paused, dust rag poised above the mantelpiece, staring at the case. “Is that what I think it is?” She asked, finally looking up at him.
“If you think it's a gun, then yes.” Sy replied, sitting down on the couch and tugging on the soaked laces of his boots.
“Why,” She gulped, arm dropping to her side. “did you buy a gun and bring it here?”
“Because, I wanted to and as a precaution.” He answered her, yanking his boots off.
“A precaution?”
“There is a fucking asshole out there.” Sy barked, jerking his arm up and finger pointing out the window. “Trying to hurt you.” His finger moved to her, in emphasis. “I am a big man. I'm a strong man. I've killed and subdued more than one man with my bare hands, but a personal cost.” He explained to her, standing and jerking up his shirt, showing her a couple of scars on his sides and chest, some were round and puckered, gunshot wounds, others were stripes, like stab wounds.
“If that prick decides to come into this house, to try and put his hands on you. That,” He pointed down to the gun case. “is going to be the first thing he wants to meet, because if he has to get close enough to me, that I need to put my hands on him, then they will be that last thing he will ever feel.” He told her, chest heaving as he got worked up over the situation.
Lily gulped at him, biting her lip, a flash of fear in her eyes at his passionate words, seeing a vein of rage that Jak had also been capable of.
“I just want to protect you.” He said softly, taking deep breaths, trying to calm himself down; seeing he had scared her.
“I know you do, Austin.” She whimpered back, gulping, eyes shiny. “I know you do.”
Tumblr media
Sy moaned, something cold pressing into his neck. “Hm, Lily.” He chuckled, scrunching his head and shoulders together, grinning as the cold and wet touched his bare chest, making him grunt and wiggle away. “Why are you so col-” He started to laugh, opening his eyes, only to meet the soulful and tawny colored eyes of Aika.
“Aika, what are ya doin' here?” He frowned, and sat up, finding it was just him and the German Shepherd in the bed, Lily nowhere in sight. “Lily?” He called out, turning his head towards the master bathroom, but it was empty.
Panic filled Sy as he yanked the blankets back and pounded down the stairs into the living room, then the den. Sy squeezed his eyes shut, taking deep breaths and clenching his hands in and out of fists, trying to keep himself cool and calm, before going into the kitchen, hearing the screen of the back door knocking against the door frame, and found the main back door was ajar.
“What is she doing?” He whispered to himself, biting his lip and looking back, considering the option of going back upstairs and getting the gun, but something in his gut told him he wouldn't need it.
Opening the door, Sy stepped out onto the back porch, a shiver wracking his body as a strong gust of rainy wind rushed by him. He narrowed his eyes, scanning the drenched backyard, the tall, unruly and uncut grass bent from the pelting of the rain and gusts of wind, he caught a quick movement to his left and turned in that direction, stepping off the porch and followed after it, towards the barn, just catching the billowing fabric of Lily's white nightie, vanishing inside.
“Lily, what are you doing in here?” He called out, pushing open the barn door a bit more. “Lily?” He called again, frowning as he crossed the barn and found her huddled in one of the old horse stalls. “What are you doing in here, Angel?” He cooed at her, shaking his head, droplets of rain running down both of their faces, and watched her melt into the corner.
Lily panted, her back pressed against the warped and worn wall behind her, arms pressed to her chest, her nightie so soaked, it was almost see through. Sy bit his lip and gulped, slowly crouching down. He knew what was going on, he had seen and suffered things like this a million times over the last ten plus years. She was having a PTSD episode, running away from the terror that was inside her head, trying to hide and find somewhere safe from it. Everything over the last several months with Jak stalking and harassing her was really starting to affect her, finally breaking her it seemed.
“I'm not going to hurt you, love.” He said softly, keeping his voice soft and low. “Come here.” He gulped, opening his arms to her and biting his lip with apprehension. “It's all right. You know, you can trust me, Sugar.” He whispered, nodding his head as she slowly unfolded herself and crawled over to him.
“Hey, Angel.” Sy cooed, sighing softly, and closed his arms around her, pressing his lips to the top of wet her head. “Ssshh.” He hushed her, rubbing her back and cupping the back of her head, feeling her tears add to the raindrops on his chest.
“I c-can-can't ta-take it an-anymore.” She sobbed, trembling in his arms, overcome with emotions and cold.
“We'll get through this, Angel.” He whispered to her, cupping her chilled cheeks in his hands and tilted her head back to look up at him. “We will get through this. You and I will get through this together. Everything will work out.”
Lily shook her head, her pale lips trembling. “N-no, it wo-won't. He-he always g-gets what h-he wants. All-always.” She mewled, whining. “I don't kn-know why I-I thought I c-could ge-get away.”
Sy's expression was hard for a moment, before he brought their faces together and kissed her, deeply. Lily stiffened against him, taken off guard by his kiss, but she didn't pull away or push him away. Gulping, she shyly returned his kiss, resting her hands on him, feeling the skin of his sides jump and react to her icy touch.
“I've wanted to kiss you.” Sy said, pulling back. “For such a long time.” He admitted, looking into her eyes. “Since that day on the porch, when you woke me up.”
“Since, you gave me your hoodie at the fair.” She whispered back, licking her lips, the warmth of Sy's still lingering on them.
Sy leaned forward, kissing her gently and brushing his fingers through her dripping hair, Lily pushing forward to deepen it for a moment, letting out a breathy whimper. Sy smirked, then looked down at the floor between them, it was still strewn with decades old hay and dirt. He held up a finger and stood, bumping around in the dark barn before a scratching sound sounded among the patter of rain on the metal barn roof. A moment later, a teeny glow filled the space and Sy approached where Lily was still kneeling, holding an old, beat up, oil lantern he knew was in the barn from his many searches of the space, hanging it up on a bent and rusty nail on the stall wall, then disappeared for another moment.
“Stand up.” He said, motioning her out of the stall, holding something in his arms.
Lily frowned at him, but stepping out of the stall and out of his way, catching a glimpse of what it was, it was one of the drop clothes he bought for when he painted the house, keeping the paint off the new porch. Sy unfolded the drop cloth over the dirty hay and stall floor, making sure it was comfortable, then turned back to her.
“How gentlemanly.” Lily complimented him.
“I am a Southern boy.” Sy chuckled, letting his Southern drawl deepen, and wrapping his arm around her waist, pulling her against him. “Who's in love with Southern Lady.”
Lily blushed as Sy kissed her again, hugging her against him and up off her feet, turning around and slowly dropped to his knees, gently laying her back on the situated drop cloth. Lily wrapped her arms around Sy's neck, moaning softly against his lips, feeling the fabric of her nightie rub against her cold hardened nipples as Sy moved to kiss down to her neck, sinking his teeth into her delicate skin and let out a loud moan, pushing up against him.
“Austin!” She cried out, pressing her cheek to his ear as he continued to bite and suck on her neck, his beard tickling and rubbing against the skin underneath her jaw, leaving it red and sensitive.
Sy chuckled, loving the sound of her calling out his name with the metal patter of rain, his hand gliding over the soaked material of her nightie, bunching and hiking it up out of his way, pressing his palm against her side, rubbing his big hands all over her exposed body, grunting and growling into her neck, like a wild grizzly bear, finally getting his claws on his prized catch. His big mitts were on her plump breasts almost instantly, squeezing and kneading them, rubbing the rough pads of his thumbs over the sensitive nubs of her nipples, making her moan and whimper, fidgeting beneath him and rubbing her legs together, adding to the growing slickness between them.
“You sound so sweet.” Sy moaned back, pulling away from her neck, a set of dark teeth marks left behind, dipping his head for a moment to swirl his tongue around one of her nipples.
“Sy.” She whined, gulping down a moan. “Sy, please.”
“Oh.” He smiled, impishly. “You like that?” He asked, flicking her erect nipple with the tip of his tongue and watched her partially melt. “Your sweet, sensitive, little buds.” He cooed, then closed his lips around one of them, suckling gently, rubbing and rolling his tongue against it.
“Ah, shit!” Lily gasped, gripping his shoulders, eyes rolling and fluttering back into her head, heels digging into the fabric of the drop cloth. “God damn it, Austin.” She snapped, pressing her palms to the back of his head, holding his mouth to her breasts, her moans and whimpers filled the barn, pushing against him, egging and begging him to keep going, her breathing growing rugged and labored, moans becoming more urgent and reckless.
“Ah, fuck fuck fuck.” She cried out. “Suck them harder.” She coaxed and demanded. “Oh shit! Please, Austin!!” She gasped suddenly, body going rigid with a soft tremor.
Sy pulled away from her and dripped a hand between her trembling thighs, finding an extremely wet patch there. “So, you come, when you get your pretty breasts sucked.” He grinned, fully turned on and impressed, licking her juices off his fingers and palm.
“I've also never heard you say such naughty words.” He added, teasingly.
Lily chuckled, slowly recovering and smiling shyly up at him.
“Oh, it's too late to get shy now, Angel.” Sy laughed, leaning down and kissed the corner of her mouth. “Your secret is out.” He continued to tease her, playfully bouncing her boobs in his palms.
“And, I'm not letting you off.”
“I'm going to regret this, I can just feel it now.” Lily huffed, shaking her head, but her smile gave away her true feelings.
“Yes, you are.”
Sy chuckled, his hand dipping back between her legs, rubbing her still dripping folds with his calloused fingers, melting her into a puddle of weak and vulnerable whimpers. “You're so sensitive and sound so sweet.” He cooed at her, licking his lips and watching her face. “So, so sweet.” He panted, mouth slightly ajar, slipping his free hand into his damp boxers, curling his fingers around his thick and rock hard shaft, giving it a few shallow strokes.
Lily's eyes drifted down the length of her sweaty body, watching Sy work his cock inside his underwear and felt herself shiver in want and anticipation of it. She licked her lips and looked up at him, their eyes in a silent communication of what they both wanted. Sy shifted, yanking off his boxers to kneel between Lily's legs, wrapping them around his waist, her hips and bottom resting atop his thighs, with the small of her back lifted off the drop cloth beneath her.
“You're sure?” Sy panted, gulping thickly and already breaking out into a sweat, staring at her with wide eyes and blown out pupils.
“Yes.” Lily sighed, nodding her head vigorously at him. “God, yes.” She moaned, squeezing her legs around his waist.
Sy smirked, pressed a hand to her hip, pushing it up her side to palm one of her breasts, squeezing and rubbing it, while taking the base of his cock in his other hand, pumping it a few times, rubbing the fat and cut tip against her still wet pussy, slowly slipping between her folds, brushing her entrance and pushing inside. Lily let out a moaning sigh through her nose, feeling his wide girth stretch her open far more than she had ever been before. Her toes curled and squeezed his hips between her calves and thighs, back arching and hips shifting against the nearly uncomfortable burn of his length being buried ever deeper inside her core. Sy tilted his head at her, bracing a hand on the drop cloth, beside her head, and leaned over her, causing Lily to let out a raspy gasp as his cock changed angles inside of her, and kissed her, slow and passionately, still pushing his hips into her.
“You are so beautiful.” He rasped against her lips, nibbling on her pouty bottom lip.
“Austin.” She whimpered back, breathy, hooking her arms under his arms and pressing her palms flat against tense and sweaty back, nails digging into his cool skin. “Austin.” She chanted, softly, rubbing her nose against his.
“Lily.” Sy moaned back, finally flush inside of her, and rocked into her, taking his time and enjoying her heavenly warmth wrapped around his cock, like a toasty sleeve. “I love you, Lily.” He whispered into her ear, kissing her jaw and cheek.
Lily blushed and let out an airy chuckle, hiding her face in his neck and broad shoulder, hugging her arms and legs tighter around his body, clinging onto him for dear life and squeezed her eyes shut, taking in the sound of Sy's heavy breathing and loud moans and groans, grunting, and sighing out her name, the still steady pitter-patter of the fat raindrops on the old, rusted tin roof and sun-kissed wood walls, all mixed with her own sounds of pleasure.
“Sy?” Lily whispered, after their shared climax, still feeling the euphoric and relaxing pleasure it gave both of them, as she laid on the drop cloth, half tucked underneath Sy's body for warmth in the drafty barn.
“Hm?” He hummed back, nosing her hair and took a deep breath.
Lily smiled, feeling the vibration in his chest, nuzzling back into him. “I love you too, Austin.” She whispered, turned her head to look back at him.
Sy lifted his head and looked down at her, a smile slowly pulling across his lips, an excited and giddy feeling in the pit of his stomach, reaching out to gently brush her hair out of her face, picking out a few bits of straw that happened to get stuck in it from earlier; before oh-so-tenderly kissing her.
“You have no idea how happy that makes me, Angel.” He murmured against her cheek.
“I'm guessing as happy as it makes me, Bear.” She chuckled back, kissing the tip of his nose.
Tumblr media
Lily softly stirred just before dawn, cradled in Sy's arms as he carried her out of the barn, the rain finally letting up, and into the house. He carried her upstairs to her room and gently laid her down on her bed, letting him help her out of her still damp nightie and tossed it through the open door of her master bathroom, before crawling into bed with her.
Both of them were out cold before the blankets settled around them, unaware of the audience they had a good deal of the night.

Ch 3 .:Resistance and Reconciliation:.
~Previously~
“I'm not going to bother making friends with someone whose family is so wrapped up in blood politics they forget to be human beings first. Trust me, I've met their mother enough times to know.”
“Did you ever ask them about it?” Remus pressed.
“I don't really need to, do I? They're a (L/n). Open your eyes, Moony!”
Remus' brow furrowed, a shine in his eyes akin to sympathy as he regarded Sirius.
“Perhaps it's you that needs to clear your vision, friend.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   1974  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sirius sat on the stone ledge on the window of his dorm room, looking out towards the Black Lake. He could see the push and pull of the wind as the thin branches of the ash trees bowed gently with the rhythm. In the reflection of the glass he could see James and Peter behind him experimenting with an altered set of wizard's chess, complete with fire-breathing knights and bishops that threw daggers, while one of Remus' records spun in the background.
Despite everything he could have been thinking about at the moment, his thoughts, irritatingly enough, drifted to you. He frowned slightly as he leaned his shoulder against the window, annoyed that you occupied even a portion of his mind. He just couldn't understand you. Somehow you had turned James, who had once openly proclaimed you his sworn enemy, into something close to a friend in the span of a year. You had no qualms with pranks pulled on you, yet you were fiercely protective when they were directed at others. You were always smiling, yet your temper took no prisoners. If you weren't a Slytherin you might even be attractive.
The thought made him bolt upright. Where the hell did that come from? He almost laughed. No. Absolutely not. He was Sirius Black, he could get anyone he wanted in this bloody school, and he certainly wasn't going to busy his mind with you. What the hell was wrong with him? It's not like he noticed the way you smiled to yourself when you were reading, or the fact that the sound of your laugh got stuck in his head like a song—
No. Stop it. Get your head straight, they're evil.
Sirius exhaled deeply, rubbing his tired eyes with his hands. For some reason that thought didn't sit right in his brain, and the longer he sat with it he came to a horrifying conclusion:
Maybe Remus was right.
The only time you'd really been nasty to them was when they'd instigated it first, or whenever they had a go at Snivelus, which had become less and less frequent; Sirius suspected because of your tentative friendship with James. He'd always just assumed you were like the other Slytherins he'd come to know. There's been hearsay circulating around you, especially given your family's reputation, but you yourself hadn't really done anything to prove the rumors. Maybe you really weren't like your family at all. Maybe you were like him. . .
Suddenly, he caught movement in the corner of his eye, not from his friend's reflections but from outside the window itself. A figure emerged from the lamplight of the castle gate, making their way towards the edge of the forest. If the green lining of your school robes and (h/c) hair didn't peak his interest, the flash that he saw of your face as you shot a quick glance over your shoulder confirmed it was you.
Sirius' mind began racing as he watched you disappear into the foliage, and suddenly every thought that had given you the benefit of the doubt vanished. He'd heard the rumors about the gatherings in the forest, everyone had. He'd even caught Snape practicing dark magic there himself one of the first nights they'd used the Shrieking Shack passageway.
He jumped off his perch by the window and grabbed a sheet of parchment and a quill, drawing a rough outline of the perimeter of the forest. He labeled the Black Lake so his spell would have a going off point and pressed his wand to the still drying ink.
“Revelare Popularis,”
The enchantment was a work in progress— a technique he'd learned from a seventh year. It wasn't exact, but it was enough to tell him if anyone else was in the forest right now. His eyes darted across the paper as he scanned his makeshift map, and the color drained from his face as he saw names suddenly appear in a cluster by the lake: Mulciber, Wilkes, Avery, and Malfoy.
Was this it? Were you really one of them?
James looked up from his game as he saw Sirius grab his leather jacket off where it hung from his bedpost.
“Going somewhere?”
“(L/n) just went into the forest,” Sirius said, “I'm following them.”
“Why, Sirius?” Remus said sardonically, having had enough of his unusual grudge against you, “We're not really ones to talk when it comes to sneaking around the forest at night, now are we?”
“He's got a point,” James said, “I mean, what do you think you're going to see?”
“What do I think?” Sirius scoffed, pushing the paper into Jame's hands, “what does it look like?”
James looked down at the parchment blankly.
“What am I looking at?”
“A variation on Revelio,” Sirius explained quickly, “if you have a location in mind it shows you who's there, but only at the time the charm is cast.”
“Are you kidding me?” James' jaw nearly dropped, “You're just now showing this to us? We could have been taking advantage of this spell to dodge Filch this whole time!”
“I'm serious.”
James had to fight hard not to make a joke out of that one.
“If (L/n)'s meeting up with those guys it can't be for anything good,” Sirius continued, “and I'm gonna find out exactly why.”
Before any of the boys could get another word in, Sirius took off running down the corridor. James groaned, rebelling against the urge to slam his head into the wall.
“I've got to stop him before he does something stupid,” he said, pulling a coat on over his shoulders, “You with me, Remus?”
“Probably not the best idea,” Lupin reminded him, “the moon's full tomorrow. I won't turn, but in the direct moonlight I may get a bit. . . well, you know.”
“Right,” James sighed, running a hand through his hair in distress, “Peter?”
The boy jolted as he was addressed, his eyes quickly cast down to his twiddling fingers.
“I. . . w-well. . .”
“Fine,” James said, waving them off in annoyance, “I'll go at him alone.”
___________________________________________________
You took a grateful breath of the crisp night air, letting the wind whistle through your hair and clothes. You loved your common room, but it could feel constricting at times, especially when there were nights as beautiful as this taking place.
Your eyes drifted up to the moon, smiling at the sight of it. It was nearly full, only a sliver of white missing from the very edge of the sphere. The sight alone was enough to make you feel more at home in your own skin, an inexplicable sense of comfort washing over you. You hadn't been able to really let loose and just run in so long. You'd made doubly sure no one had followed you into the forest, but you still gave your surroundings a quick once over. You jumped as the sound of leaves crunching suddenly asserted itself behind you and you lit your wand quickly, turning to see who it was.
“. . . Black?”
“Sorry, were you expecting someone else? One of your pureblood friends, maybe?”
The confused look on your face only made his anger flare.
“Don't act coy,” he asked harshly, “just what are you playing at?”
Your back straightened in surprise, taken aback by his words.
“Excuse me?”
“I've seen you talking to my brother, Rosier, Snivelus, and all those other Slytherins. Don't think I don't know what you're doing,” the words flew out of his mouth before they had time to pass through his brain, every irrational irritation he had regarding you spewing out of him at once, “I've had to sit through it, you know. All those dinners where my parents talk blood politics with all the fanatics who think just like them. I've listened to your mother brag all about your pure blood line and how her child is 'so eager to carry on the family traditions'. So whatever you're planning by getting close to James, I'm not going to let it happen.”
You felt like you were frozen in place, staring at him as your throat tightened into knots.
“My mom?” you said, voice suddenly small, “Sirius. . . my mom passed away when I was little.”
Your words hit the Gryffindor like a truck.
“. . . what?” he asked dumbly, his brain delaying slightly in processing what you'd just said.
“She got sick. . . an experimental spell gone wrong. If you met someone with my family's name that spoke like that, it was probably my aunt. My cousin goes to Ilvermorny. That's the child she's talking about, not me. The divide between purebloods and muggleborns is even more severe in America, if you can believe it. . . ”
Sirius faltered, this new information going against everything he'd heard and thought he knew about you and your family.
“But,” he hesitated, “your father—”
“Put up the image he had to in order to keep me safe,” you said. You knew he was documented as being very open about his pureblood pride and distaste towards muggles, but it was a cover more than anything, “Since he stopped speaking with my aunt and moved us both away from the estate, she's acted as the new head of the (L/n) House, and that was years ago. . .”
You trailed off awkwardly, not feeling very self-righteous in your explanation.
“I know my family doesn't have the best reputation. . . that's probably why you hate me, huh?” you chuckled humorlessly, wincing at how harsh the words came out. But if you were honest, you were hurt that out of everyone in their group, Sirius was the one that didn't even seem to want to give you a chance. You were the one who had extended the olive branch in the first place on the condition that they ease up on Severus.
“Hate you?” Sirius echoed hollowly, feeling guilt creep up on him like a shadow, “that's. . . shit, no, that's not—”
“Everte Statum!”
You gasped as Sirius was suddenly shot backwards, his body flipping wildly through the air from the force before being slammed against the trunk of a nearby tree. His head spun, heavily disoriented as his vision shifted in shades.
You had drawn your wand on instinct, looking around for your attackers when you saw a black-clad figure lift their hood, revealing a long mane of white hair that stood out starkly in the night.
Malfoy.
“Well, looky here,” Mulciber taunted, revealing himself behind you, “we've caught the two biggest blood traitors of the last century having a touching little moment together.”
Laughter echoed from the trees, Wilkes emerging from the shadows. You took up a defensive position as their group surrounded you.
“Now, let's not be hasty, Mulciber,” Lucius said, “their father may have disgraced their house, yes, but they didn't have a choice. It's not too late for them to make the right one now.” His lips turned up into a snarl as he regarded Sirius, “get away from that blood traitor, (L/n), he'll rub off on you.”
You grit your teeth hard, preparing to cast a spell when Malfoy put his hand up in a silencing gesture, the pretentious little prat.
“Ah, you don't want to make any rash moves either, (L/n),” he said, looking to your left. You followed his gaze to see Avery coming out of the foliage, grappling with someone under his arm.
“Potter?!”
James smiled weakly as Avery held him in a choke hold, a bit of blood dripping down the side of his head.
“Hey,” he said, humor still light in his voice, “So, this didn't exactly work out as planned.” He groaned as Avery's elbow was driven into his stomach, effectively silencing him.
As soon as you tried to move towards him, Lucius had his wand pointed at you.
“Let him go and get lost, Malfoy,” you said lowly, “you've taken this far enough.”
“You've been avoiding us, (L/n),” Lucius said, ignoring you entirely, “Snape may have come up with some rubbish excuses for you earlier, but you can't keep running from this.”
“If practicing curses on first years and terrorizing other people is how you plan on using magic, then I don't want any part of your little cult,” you spat, “face it, Malfoy— you lot need me, but I don't need you.”
Lucius exhaled sharply, his genuine surprise at your resistance replaced quickly with anger.
“Think about what you're doing, (L/n),” he said, his eyes narrowing dangerously, “don't be a fool like your father.”
That did it.
With a growl you unleashed an orange bolt of energy from your wand, your Stupefy hitting Lucius square in the chest. Mulciber was quick to retaliate with a jinx of his own, which you quickly nullified with a shield charm. Shock flashed across his expression at your casual use of nonverbal magic, and he recovered one second too late.
Sirius was back on his feet, petrifying Mulciber and swatting Wilkes away like a fly with the knockback jinx before either could cast a spell at you. You and Sirius found yourselves back to back, fending off Lucius as he continued to direct a steady stream of curses in your direction. Sirius managed to create an opening for you and you turned to where James was being held.
“Evanossa!”
A flash of blue hit Avery, who shrieked in horror when he saw that the arm he was using to hold Potter had turned gelatinous, fingers drooping down like melting ice cream. James wasted no time paying him back in kind for roughing him up earlier, sending him flying into the oak tree and using the water from the Black Lake to freeze him there before joining you in the fray.
“Expelliarmus!” he called out, sending Wilke's wand spinning out of his reach and leaving only Malfoy against the three of you.
Lucius faltered for a moment as he stared down your group of three, but held fast.
“Leave it, Malfoy,” you said, “it's over.”
He growled under his breath, taking up an obvious offensive stance, but you were too quick.
“Ebublio!”
Lucius gasped as he suddenly found himself encased in a giant bubble, his knockback jinx ricocheting off the inside and hitting him in the back of the head. He pounded against the bubble in frustration but found it to be thick as Plexiglas and just as strong, unable to pop it. Suddenly, he was hoisted into the air as you raised your wand higher, directing him farther and farther away until he was hovering directly over the Black Lake.
“Let me go this instant!” he growled.
A devilish smile graced your features.
“You got it.”
“No, wait, don't you dar—AHH!!”
You turned your back on him, your breaking eye contact promptly bursting the bubble and sending him flailing into the water a few feet below.
You chuckled as you sent a few quick counter-jinxes out from your wand, restoring Mulciber's range of motion and liquefying the ice that trapped Avery.
As soon as Mulciber was unpetrified he took off running towards the Lake where Lucius was furiously treading water, tripping over his feet as he dragged Wilkes along with him. Avery limped after them, defrosted but still chilled to his bones (which you had been so kind to also restore).
“I'd fish him out quickly if I were you,” you called after them, “the giant squid is more active at night.”
“You're out of your mind, (L/n)!” Avery turned around and yelled, but with fear evident in his eyes, “You'll live to regret this, mark my words. The Headmaster—”
“Would love to know who cast the first spell, I'm sure,” you said darkly.
Avery stammered out some lame response under his breath before turning around and running after the rest of group, retreating.
Sirius turned to look at you, awestruck and chocked full of adrenaline. Maybe you really weren't so bad after all.
“That was. . .” James trailed off, grasping for the words and blurting them out as soon as he found them, “Brilliant, (Y/n). You're bloody brilliant.”
You felt your face heat up, not expecting that. You and James had stopped trading insults and threats (serious ones, anyways) and your teasing had become well meant, but neither of you had crossed the threshold of actually paying the other a compliment before.
“Thanks, Potter,” you said, unable to fight the smile on your face. You turned to Sirius briefly. “I hope this cleared some things up for us,” you said, “I'd really like to try and be friends, so. . .”
“Yeah,” Sirius said, wanting to kick himself at the way you turned him into a monosyllabic neanderthal with just a look. You gave him a small smile before turning back to James who was trying desperately to hide his limp and aching rib cage.
“Alright, let's get you to the hospital wing, Potter,” you sighed, “you look like a cheap action star in a muggle movie.”
“Uh,” James said nervously, “better we not. If I go to Madame Pomfrey three times in one day she'll never let me hear the end of it.”
“And who's fault is that?” You huffed, slinging an arm over his shoulder and helping him walk, “at least let me patch you up, then.”
Sirius followed some distance behind you, watching as you walked James back towards the castle and laughed at his occasional jokes. This one night had just turned everything upside down for Sirius. This whole time he was sure that he didn't like you because you were a blood-purist Slytherin and he was jealous that you were taking his best friend away from him; but the way you had stood up to Lucius and his goons made your position on blood politics very clear, and the tight feeling that struck Sirius' chest as he watched you cozy up with James made him reevaluate just which one of you he was jealous of.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Sirius?”
The man blinked, slowly coming back to reality. You were looking up at him in concern, your head resting lightly on his shoulder. It took an embarrassing amount of his willpower to keep from leaning forward just a few inches and kissing you.
Could you pick a worse time, you numbskull? He thought, mentally smacking himself for even thinking about it.
“Are you okay?” you asked hesitantly after he stayed silent.
“I'm alright,” he insisted, giving you a reassuring smile, “just. . . thinking about how far we've come.”
His answer surprised you, though not in a bad way.
“I suppose we have,” you smiled back, “this is a far cry from you scowling at me from across the Great Hall over your breakfast.”
“I did not scowl,” Sirius scoffed playfully, nudging you away with his shoulder.
“Right,” you grinned, “scowling, glaring, glowering, whichever you prefer.”
“I said I was sorry,” he said, putting his hands up in mock surrender, although you both knew you weren't really upset about it. You'd long since forgiven him for his initial misjudgment.
When your light laughter died down, your head found itself lulling to the side again, tiredness taking over your mind as you rested against Sirius once more. When you tilted your head up to look at him he had a surprisingly pensive look on his face. Your eyes traveled across his expression, his gray eyes almost taking on a deep shade of blue in the shadows of his room. You noticed how much younger he looked when he was smiling; it was in moments like these when it really set in how long you had known each other, because you could see the years in his eyes.
Your own flickered down to his lips in spite of yourself and Sirius' heart skipped a beat, fearing you could feel it racing in his rib cage. When had you turned him so soft? He chuckled inwardly. Long before he had fully come to terms with how he felt about you was the answer. Even when he was in Azkaban, with two of his closest friends dead and the world convinced he was at fault, even if he had to live with the fact that he would never see you again, he still thought of you, and that kept him alive, sane— himself. But now you were here in front of him, and he was terrified that at any moment you would vanish into thin air and he would find himself back in that horrible cinder block cell, face to face with a dementor as it took his last memories of you away from him.
Your hand squeezed his, almost as if you had read his thoughts— as if you were assuring him that you were real, and you weren't going anywhere. You noticed him leaning in closer, even if he didn't, possessed by some invisible force. You were nearly about to meet him halfway when you were suddenly startled apart by the sound of quick, heavy-footed steps bounding down the stairs.
You both looked at each other as if you had just awoken from some sort of trance, instinctively putting some distance between yourselves as you shifted away awkwardly.
“I. . . I should probably get to bed,” you said, your face warm.
“Right,” Sirius said, reluctantly getting up from his seat at the edge of his bed, “I've kept you up long enough, I'm sure you're tired. . .”
Before you left his room you turned over your shoulder, a small smile on your face.
“It's really good to see you again, Sirius,” you said earnestly, “we should catch up for real later.”
“Definitely,” he said, a bit of his old self reflected in that smirk of his, albeit forced.
You steeled yourself, turning the doorknob and closing the door behind you gently before you did something to ruin the friendship you had just gotten back after over a decade. You shook the thought aside, your head hurting. You really did need to sleep after today.
You were about to head into your room, but something in you didn't feel quite right. You'd definitely heard someone go down the stairs, but you hadn't heard the front door open or close. Dread pooled in your stomach at your gut feeling, and you found yourself inexplicably making your way back down the stairs.
The house was eerily silent now that its residents had either gone off to bed or disapparated until the next meeting in a few days time. You'd left Sirius upstairs, and you knew Harry was staying here for the time being until school began, but everyone else had gone home. So then why did you still feel someone else's presence so acutely?
You stared at the empty hallway leading to the front door, taking a cautious step forward; the image in front of you didn't feel real. The colors were too saturated, the edges too sharp, and the surfaces too smooth. And that's when it hit you. The smell of rain. Leather-bound books. Lavender.
You froze, staring at the seemingly empty space in front of you.
“Severus?”
The potions master didn't dare make a sound, thinly veiled behind his invisibility charm but clearly not well enough. He was standing not three feet in front of you, taking in the sight of you as if it were the last thing he would ever see.
He panicked slightly as he felt you reach out to him with your mind, shutting himself off expertly. Your hurt expression as you were unable to detect anything pained him, but he wouldn't dare think that he deserved to say anything to you. What was there to say after everything he'd done?
Your gaze roamed the empty hall, and for a moment he could have sworn you stared him right in the eyes.
You knew he was there.
The moment lasted no longer than a second before you looked away, turning to go back up the stairs. As soon as your back was facing the front door you heard it open then close gently, and the tears you had been fighting to hold back finally spilled over.

Day one of the Horror on Cherry Lane Challenge! I’ll be participating this month as a writer! The prompt for today is Knife!
warnings for mentions of suicidal ideation and attempts, death, child abuse, and blood.
Billy met Steve in the psych ward.
Well, they met officially at Tina’s party, but that wasn’t the real Steve. That was the King Steve. Deeper than that though, even the Steve Harrington everyone else saw even after the breakup and the fall from grace still wasn’t the real thing.
That was fake smiles, overdone nonchalance to cover up the wound from his fallen status. Now he was stripped down to himself, all bloody bandages and tired eyes, the boy he was pretending to be finally broken down to reveal this.
Apparently, Ruthie Harrington found her son with his grandfather's switchblade- all the other objects in the house sharper than a spoon and with less sentimental value had already been tossed -bleeding all over her freshly polished linoleum floors. She dropped him off at the hospital a night ago and nobody’s been by to see him since.
Now, it’s by pure coincidence that Billy’s already in on the same day Steve’s admitted.
He’s been locked up the past three days compared to Steve’s one. These small town hicks are jumpier (ha) than he thought, and don’t think doing the walk and turn test on the edge of the quarry after downing a bottle and a half of fireball is as funny as he does. Whatever. Cid would’ve thought that was badass as hell.
So he was admitted, on suicide watch for a stupid joke that wasn’t really worth it, or even really a joke. Max came to visit once. She punched him in the chest as hard as she could and cursed him out for an hour. She’d never done that before. By the time she left they were both in tears, and maybe Billy realized a thing or too about his carelessness. Realized for the first time that someone cared.
But he’s still in here for another week and a half by law, so. He’s not going to mope about it. And while Steve Harrington showing up is about the last thing he’s expecting, he decides that’s at least something he can work with. Definitely brings a little life to the place.
He waits until Steve’s intense watch period is over to bug him, once they’re out of their cramped little rooms for a couple of hours to “socialize” (see, the more sound of mind keep an eye on the other patients while the nurses take their smoke breaks) Billy goes straight to Steve. Him and Harrington are far from friends, but that’s pretty much irrelevant when the only other choices for company are kids younger than them too scared to approach them and people too deep in their midlife crises to bother with teenage drama.
Throwing himself down in the blue plastic chair across from where Steve settled in, Billy kicks his feet up on the table,, “What’s up Harrington? Didn’t expect to see a familiar face in here.”
But Steve, poor Steve, takes one look at Billy with those haunted brown eyes, and his face just falls completely apart. There are tears on his way too pale cheeks before Billy even has a chance to breathe.
The smile drops off of Billy’s face, “Jesus Harrington, I know m’not looking my best surviving on hospital food and cigarettes without a hairbrush, but that’s a little unwarranted.”
“Shut up. Not everything’s about you, Hargrove.”
“Oh I disagree with that. But I get the point. I’ll let ya be.” Billy hums, scooting his chair back and getting up. He stops when Steve starts to speak, “Y-You outta be careful saying that kinda stuff in here.”
“What?”
“That the world revolves around you. They’ll come up with a diagnosis for that and keep you here forever. Drug you ‘til you forget your own name, let alone your status.” Steve tells him with humor, wiping the tears off his face.
Billy nods in understanding, sits back down with an interested smirk, “This ain’t your first time here, is it?”
“Is it yours?”
“Nah. I’ve done some shit on purpose, some on accident. Once it wasn’t even me. But s’never done anything to help so far.”
Steve puffs out a sigh, “Don’t I know it.. I’ve been in and outta this place since I was like, ten. Clearly nothing’s changed.”
“Why? What’s your dirty little secret, Harrington?”
“I cut myself, dumbass.” He deadpans, looking at Billy with a bluntness in his expression that reads more concerning, more like indifference to what he just said than matter-of-fact.
“No shit. But that ain’t the secret.” Billy probes further, can tell he’s getting under that mask Steve wears, “Why do you do it?”
“Legally, I can't tell you. And I don’t think I would anyways.”
“What about if I tell you all about me first? I got no reservations ‘cept the one that got me a bed here.”
“It’s not a hotel, Hargrove.”
“Eh, might as well be. Feels like the damn hotel California.”
“Is that why?”
“Huh? Oh no, I been pullin’ stunts like this long before we left Cali.”
“Like what?”
“Like downing two full bottles of my mother’s meds after she left. Not at the same time obviously, or I wouldn’t be here. Mostly ‘cause my dad didn’t even wanna take me to the hospital either time.” Billy doesn’t look at Steve while he elaborates. Not because he cares, he’s an open book, if a random old woman at the grocery store asked about his last attempt, he’d tell her.
But. He doesn’t like watching people’s faces. Seeing sympathy and concern there. It makes him feel all stupid and guilty. It’s usually not like that with other kids like him, but Steve’s different. He’s got a big heart. Even if there’s no room for himself.
And Billy hurt Steve before. He doesn’t want to see someone he caused pain caring so much about him. He already cracked when Max came to see him. This could be what splits him open, spills out all the things he’s covered up.
So he keeps going, “And like runnin’ out in front of traffic with my friends. They thought we were just playin’ chicken ‘til I stopped dead in front of a station wagon. Metal rims’d done me in for sure if one ‘a the older boys hadn’t pulled me outta the way. Damn near ripped my shirt in half how fast he grabbed me.”
“I’m guessing your parents are the reason why then?”
“Yessir.” Billy deflects, not good at getting deeper into it, “You wanna tell me yours then?”
“I started cutting because Tommy Hagan told me about it. He thought it was freaky, but when he ran his mouth about how they found the neighbor kid in his room, drained of all his blood from his wrists, I wanted to try it. I’ve tried liquor and drugs and all kinds ‘a shit I shouldn’t, but nothin’ stuck like cutting.” Steve pauses for a long time, his eyes going blank, staring right past Billy, “When my mom found out she.. she.. Forget it.”
“Hey, you seen my skeletons. Can’t I see yours?”
“No. I don’t wanna fucking talk about it anymore.” Steve answers, despite his assuredness, his tone wobbling with some unidentifiable emotion.
Talk about mood swings. Billy doesn’t get how nobody would’ve noticed something was up before Steve started carving into himself. Really, he knows someone would have seen it and just ignored it.
It only gets worse though, the reservedness turning to sadness and frustration. None of the words are coming out, but he can tell Steve’s thinking of the stories, reliving all that got him to the here and now. Billy can also tell there’s nothing he can do no to stop him from doomsdaying.
So when Steve is inevitably in the thralls of a panic attack, he tries to hug him tight, to try to get it to stop maybe, that always worked for him at least, but Steve swats him away. Judging from the way he winces, it’s not easy for him to do either, with those thick ass bandages constricting his wrists, but the tears and the pain on his face are buried behind his resolution.
He’s hiding something from Billy.
In hindsight, talking to a new patient about past attempts probably wasn’t his brightest idea anyways, so he switches the subject while Steve works on coming down from his panic attack. He brings up Max and her little nerds, trying to bridge the healthier connections between him and Steve that they’d both been ignoring since the fight. He mentions basketball too, another something they have in common other than trying to kill themselves.
It doesn’t really work, though Steve does stop shaking as bad, just curling up in his little chair and sniffling, pretending not to listen while Billy rambles on and on. But he doesn’t talk. It’s probably better for him not to anyway. Billy himself has been known to say some dumb shit when he’s in distress.
Ultimately, even once the conversation runs out, he stays with Steve until dark. He can tell from the way his gaze sticks to the floor that Steve recovered from his fit a while ago, but he’s embarrassed by having a breakdown in front of him, as if he isn’t in here for the same reason. It helps that he gets it though, and they sit in a comfortable, albeit very prolonged, silence.
Long after Steve gets xanned up and knocked out though, while Billy is still free to wander until the midnight curfew as a low risk patient, he decides to stick with him in his room. Billy’ll never admit it, but he gets nightmares, and he doesn’t want to face that just yet, so with a new friend as an excuse, he’s up half the night watching Steve sleep.
He remembers what happened earlier, how focused Steve was on keeping him away from him, despite his panic, and decides, with a glance at how deeply Steve is sleeping, his greasy hair all strewn about on stiff pillows, that he’s going to figure out what it was.
He snoops around in his bedside drawers, in the bathroom, in the locker in the corner. It’s there he notices the knitted jacket Steve was wearing before, hanging heavy to one side, like there’s something in its pocket. He touches it and feels the outline of something small, so he pulls it out.
He regrets checking though, because it’s a knife. Judging from the old looking engravings on its handle, and the coppery stains within the grooves, it’s specifically the very same one that got Steve hospitalized.
He shoves it in his own back pocket and keeps looking, with a quick glance at Steve, finding a note tucked where the knife had been. Written in perfect scrawl on bond paper that’s been folded a dozen times and stained with tears,
“Do it right next time, why don’t you? Your mother is too soft on you. I’m not paying for this again.
- J.Harrington.”
Billy doesn’t know what to do but throw the note in the trash. Not really in shock, but definitely more than a little fucked up from reading that, he sits on the end of Steve’s bed. His own dad, who'd more than once been the one putting him in the hospital, had never even said anything like that to him.
He didn’t get to talk to Steve much today, but they’ve got as long as Billy’s stuck in here together to fix that. Longer if he just pulls something in front of a nurse. And he wants to, really really wants to.
Because he knows he just met the real Steve, can recognize another broken boy when he sees one, and he knows too, that he never wants to meet a pretty boy like this again.
And if that’s his declaration to get clean, then so fucking be it.
But. He never promised not to hurt anyone. Ultimately he’d still need that outlet.
He keeps the knife. To make sure his pretty boy doesn’t get hurt again.

The Dusk Calls for me: Jasper Hale x Fleur Swan, Chapter 15 FINALE
Tumblr media
AUTHORS NOTES: This is a long one folks... hope you like it.

WARNINGS: Violence
“Before you slip into unconsciousness I'd like to have another kiss Another flashing chance at bliss Another kiss, another kiss.”
Crystal Ship by: The Doors.
POV: BELLA’S
I slowly opened the ballet studio doors, I peaked around each side of the room before entering. It was quiet, and I didn’t see mom anywhere the entire room was void of people.
“BELLA? BELLA? WHERE ARE YOU!?!”
I knew it, I knew Fleur was wrong... mom was here!
“MOM?”
“BELLA!”
“I’m coming mom!”
I ran to the end of the studio and opened the door, my heart sunk into my stomach... It was a TV, of an old home video mom took of me when I was a kid.
“Oh there you are! What are you doing in here?” My mom said.
“Mommy, I suck.” I said back to her, she gasp.
“You do not suck!”
I heard a laugh, it was deep, my blood had run cold, I knew who that voice was. My breath had started to stutter, but I face him. His body was imprinted on every mirror in the room.
“That’s my favorite part... You were a stubborn child weren’t you? Hmm?” James walked up to me, he petted the side of my head before pushing me against a wall.
“S-she’s not even here.”
“No.” He pushed his face closer to mine, breathing me in.
“I’m sorry... but you really made things too easy for me... so to make it up to you. I’m going to make a little film of our time together. I stole this from your house... I hope you don’t mind. And... action. Oh, this will just break Edward little heart.”
I glanced up, I thought my mind was deceiving me... I saw Fleur, she was holding a rock in her hands. She brought her finger up to her lips and silently shushed me.
“Ed-Edward has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS.” I said, I pushed myself up but I was pushed right back against the wall.
“Oh but he does, his rage will make for a much more interesting sport than his feeble attempt to protect you... and let’s continue.
“HEY!”
James turned around, before he could say anything a rock was thrown right at his head. His skin had a slight crack in it... he looked pissed. When he turned back around to me I sprayed him in the eyes with my pepper spray. I took off Fleur waiting for me halfway in the room. She grabbed my hand and made a rush to the door but James jumped right in front of us. He grabbed me and threw me into a glass podium. He then turned toward Fleur, a deadly look was in his eyes.
“BELLA!” She screamed.
POV CHANGE: Fleur
All the fear had left my body as soon as I saw him... it was as if adrenaline had taken over me. I threw that rock with all my might, hoping to damage him in someway. I saw the slightest crack on him, and I got him to divert his attention toward me for a second. Bella and I then ran for the door but James got in our way. He threw Bella into a glass podium and then turned around to face me. The fear still didn’t enter my being, I was beginning to wonder if I had a death wish at this point. Before I could react James grabbed me by the back of my hair and turned me around to face the mirror. He slammed my head into the floor. He lifted my head back up and made my look at my now bloody appearance in the mirror.
“Jasper... he is just as pathetic as Edward... he left you this, fragile, idiotic human... He didn’t have the strength to turn you. You make this hunt much more...fun.” He licked the side of my head, drinking my blood in the process.
“You think your so amazing? I’ve seen the way you hunt and track people... It’s mediocre at best.” I spat back out, I could hear Bella groaning in pain in the background.
“How have you seen me? If I sensed you were there I would’ve eaten you up too.”
“I’ve had dreams, I was in that slut of your’s body Victoria... I saw how you hunted, it’s pathetic.”
“...You’re lying...”
“Oh yeah... does this sound familiar to you?”
“It’s always the same, inane questions. Who are you?”
“What do you want?”
“Why are you doing this?”
“James... let’s not play with our food.”
“How in the hell could you be able to do that...You’re human, nothing more, nothing less.” James said, his grip tightened on my hair, he teeth were clinched. He was seething in pure anger.
“That doesn’t matter...” I said my dark brown eyes glaring back up at him through the mirror.
“All I know is Jasper is going to kick your ASS!”
James dragged me away from the mirror, bringing me to Bella.  He then set the camera down and grabbed both of our legs. Breaking them instantly Bella had started to scream but I held it.
“It doesn’t hurt...nothing is cracking... nothing has broken.... I will not give him that satisfaction of him knowing he hurt me.” I thought.
“Tell them how much it hurts.... tell them to avenge you!”
“NO EDWARD DON’T”
“That means you too...tell poor ol’ Jasper how much it hurts.”
I didn’t budge, he then let go of Bella’s leg and grabbed both of mine, He hurled me threw me through one of the mirrors. A large piece of glass was impaled into my side he then dragged my through the glass, my back getting cut along the way. He then dropped me  and turned to go back to Bella but before he could someone had knocked him out of the way. I then heard a bang against one of the mirrors.
“You got here first... because your fast than the others... but not stronger.” James said.
“I’m strong enough to kill you!” He then kicked James back, I couldn’t tell where though. The room was starting to spin, It felt like I was floating. I could tell who it was though it was Edward, he looked between Bella and I not knowing who to go to. He turned his head to me before muttering a “I’m sorry Fleur” to me.
This was it, I was going to die here...Edward was going to take Bella and leave me here. I saw him jump up in the air toward a window but James had grabbed him and drug him and Bella back down to the ground. I was gasping at this point, the pain and loss of blood was starting to take it’s toll on me. I heard Bella scream in extreme pain, I knew James had bitten her right then and there. I couldn’t even say anything, I had blacked out. Muffled screams and voices had come into my sense of hearing. I woke up after being shaken by someone.
“Hey, hey, darlin, look at me. You’re going to be fine.”
“J-jasper?” I said... I didn’t recognize my own voice, it was weak and frail.
“Yeah, it’s me... you need to stay awake for me okay? C’mon let me see those beautiful eyes huh?”
My eyes opened slightly I could see the blurry image of a fire with Alice, Dean and Emmett fighting for something to go in it. I felt a gigantic pressure on my side and hissed. I began to fade out again.
“Hey, hey... c’mon keep your eyes open... you have to stay awake! You can’t forget about what you told me in your room that night...
I weakly grabbed his hand, squeezing as tight as I could.
“Jazz, y-you need t-to go... my blood, you can’t be comfortable right now. He ignored me and continued in on his rant
You told me you’d live... that no matter how much you got hurt... you would live, you would still be human. You can’t break you promise on me now... you need to stay awake. Fleur? FLEUR!”
My world faded to black again, the sound I heard was the beeping of a machine, it smelt like I was in a hospital. My eyes twitched and I heard rustling on the side of the room.
“Petal? Are you waking up?” It was my dad’s voice... relief filled my body, he was okay. I finally opened my eyes, they were burned by the bright fluorescent lights in the room.
“Dad?”
“Hey petal, you feeling okay?”
I tried to sit up but, a stinging sensation on my side made me lay back down.
“I’ve been better.”
“When I got the call from Jasper, my heart dropped... I didn’t think I would ever see you again.” Dad said, he grabbed my hand and held it tightly.
“I’m here... just a little beaten up right now.”
“Jasper has been here ever since you came in, he hasn’t eaten or drunken anything... in 3 days. I’ve tried to get him to eat something but he would budge. You picked a good one Petal, I’ve never seen so much dedication for someone before.”
“So, you aren’t mad at him?”
“Not at all, Edward on the other hand... he needs some work.”
“A lot of work you mean.”
He chuckled
“Yeah, you got that right.”
“Is Bella okay?”
“Yeah she’s fine... she told me what happened. She said you were chasing her down a flight of stairs in the hotel  when she tripped dragging you down with her... and then you both went through a window! Do you remember any of this?”
“Nope, none at all.”
“They said you lost a lot of blood due to a piece of glass stabbing you on the side, it was close to hitting the side of your lung. You got stitches over there.”
“Oh, that explains the pain then.”
“Yeah...”
“I can’t wait to go home... I miss it there... and I miss my bed too.”
“The rooms ready for you Petal.”
The hospital room door opened, we both looked up and saw Renee looking in on us.
“She wants to see you.” She then closed the door behind her, not even acknowledging me.
“Well I see she hasn’t changed much.”
“Yeah... not at all.”
“I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with her dad.”
He turned and looked at me, and then he smiled.
“It’s worth it for you.”
“I love you dad.”
“I love you too.” He then left, leaving me alone in the hospital room with Jasper.
“Hey Jazz.”
“Hi Darlin.”
I opened my arms, inviting him in for a hug. He accepted the invitation immediately.
“I’m so happy to hear your voice again love.” We pulled apart, now facing each other.
“I’m happy to be alive, to be able to see you again. Did you guys get James?”
“Yeah, we got him, boy you should’ve seen Emmett and Dean... they were brutal.”
“I couldn’t of imagined how you felt... I’m sure my blood made you uncomfortable too.”
“You’re the one in the hospital bed... and you’re worrying about me? You did the same thing in the studio. You told me to leave, that you didn’t want me to be uncomfortable around all your blood. You are something special my love, purely amazing.”
“Of course I worry about you Jazz...I love you.”
“I love you too Darlin.”
TIMESKIP: Two week later.
Getting back to Forks was amazing, I never thought I would be so happy to see that small town again. The first week back was rough, I could hardly move, the pain was unbearable at times. The second week was a lot better but, Bella and I haven’t talked much since our fight. The tension was back... and I knew I couldn’t trust her anymore. She was too selfish, too self absorbed, she would risk me and everyone around her just to save herself and Edward. Rosalie and Alice visited me whenever they could and today, the were helping me get ready for prom. I didn’t think I would be able to go but, the pain in my side was nothing more than a annoying throb.
“You guys really don’t have to do this you know...”
“Yes we do, besides I picked out the dress and I want to see you wear it.” Rosalie said.
“I’ve always wanted to do your makeup and hair... and since I’m here, you can’t stop me now!” Alice exclaimed.
“Alright, alright, make me beautiful!”
A few moments had passed and my make up and hair were done, I was impressed. They really knew what they were doing. I quickly changed into my dress, this was the most beautiful I had felt in the past 2 weeks.
Tumblr media
“You look beautiful.” Rosalie said, she looked at me through the mirror, a smile was on her face.”
“You better go, Jasper’s waiting downstairs with Charlie...”
“Okay, okay, thank you guys.”
We all three hooked arms with each other and made our way downstairs. Jasper and Dad sat up walking toward the stairs, they both smiled at me.
“You look gorgeous.” Jasper said.
“Thank you, you look great. Just ignore the cast... it’s a lot...”
Jasper wrapped his arm gingerly around my waist and kissed my cheek.
“You two have have fun, stay safe.” Dad said.
“We will dad.”
Rosalie, Alice, Jasper and I all made our way outside, Emmett and Dean were waiting for us.
The drive was nice, it gave me a sense f peace after everything that had happened to me. I wish I could keep this feeling this forever, I felt safe, loved. Jasper had helped me out of the car and guided me through the front of the building. We got our pictures taken and made our way inside... it was a bit chaotic. I looked around and saw Angela and Eric, she looked at me and waved happily. I of course, returned the gesture. I then saw Jessica with Mike, she was posing and taking pictures. When she saw me I gave her a thumbs and mouthed,”You look incredible.” She mouthed back, “you do too!”
“Come with me, love.” I heard Jasper say, he pulled my attention back to him.
I he pulled me towards the outside of the building, it was secluded. The lights from the inside and the gazebo gave it and warming glow. He turned to face me and grabbed my hands. He pulled my on top of his feet and then began to dance.
“This isn’t how I exactly envisioned this moment but, the one part I knew would happen is still here.” I said.
“And what would that be?”
“That I’d be dancing with you.”
“Looking you over, and you don’t know my name yet.
By the time you looked away I already knew I couldn’t fake it.
I got this need for you, forming in my beating heart.
I knew the meaning right away, when only yesterday were worlds apart.”
“I’m glad I got to be apart of it with you.” Jasper said
“I do too, the happiness you’ve made me feel, is always the best I’ve ever felt.”
“You brought me back to life, love.”
“And you brought even more life to me.”
“I think I may love you,
If you give my sometime,
Maybe you’ll love me too.”
“I got this need for you, if you come closer I can whisper in your ear.
And if you wanna walk away
I’ll tell you all the things I know you’d wanna hear.”
“You know... I was talking with Edward he told me some things about Bella.” Jasper said.
“What would that be?”
“Bella is in desperate need to become a vampire now.”
“Wow...”
“So I wanted to ask you... are you in desperate need to become one too?”
“ I mean... I would love to spend eternity with you but... it’s way too soon for me to change. I’m not ready to leave dad yet...”
“That’s a relief to here love.”
“If I were to get changed so soon... It would have to be because I’m about to die... I won’t do it any other way.”
“I promise I won’t change you unless I absolutely have too.”
“I’ll come closer,
To you if you
Come over
I know we’ll go farther
Farther with you
With you I’m in warm water swimming down.”
“I love you Jasper Hale.”
“I love you Fleur Swan.”
“With you I’m in warm water swimming down.”
Warm Water by, BANKS.

My thoughts on MoM [SPOILERS]
Seriously, a lot of spoilers. All the spoilers.
Nobody asked for my opinion but I want to share it anyway :)
I like that there's more body horror/gore in this than in any other MCU film (it's still not a lot but it is a start). The Avengers fighting without ever getting seriously injured/bleeding always bothered me (there's still some of that but, again, it's a start).
Visually, the movie is almost perfect. It looks beautiful and I love the visual effects used for Wanda's magic (like when she makes Black Bolt's mouth dissappear!!), the only thing that kind of bothered me was the first scene with "zombie strange", his face looked weird? But it got better later.
The fight scenes!! Are!! So!! Good!! This is just my opinion since I have no technical knowledge, but I went to the cinema expecting there to be a lot of cool magic in the fights and that's exactly what I got. Thank you. (Except for the fight with the music notes. I don't think I like it)
This is just one random scene but CAPTAIN CARTER DYING BY HER OWN SHIELD!! I LOVED THAT. I knew she was going to die from the moment she showed up obviously, but like that?? And showing us the bloody shield afterwards??? Amazing. Again, wish there was more blood instead of focusing on her face for that scene, but you can't have everything.
Now, onto the things I did not like. America Chavez, for instance.
*sighs* What can I even say about her? Her character makes no sense. She was introduced for no reason and has nothing to do with the original comic book character (which was expected). They changed her backstory, her race and gave her the most random power possible. Who is she? How did she get this power? Why are her portals star shaped for some reason? If they just needed a way to travel between universes, almost anything else would've worked better than just messing up a pre-existent character who has nothing to do with the multiverse.
It seems to me that Marvel just wanted to introduce a new character for the sake of it, to make more movies and TV shows. There has to be some ulterior motive, because, in the context of the story they're telling, there is no reason for her to exist at all.
Wanda could use anything else to travel between universes. An ancient spell in the Darkhold? A relic? Anything. I can't remember what they use in What If but I'm pretty sure that would've been a better option as well.
By the way, What If is so much better than this movie. If they'd just used the plot of the last two episodes but made Wanda the villain, this movie could've been so good. Why make everyone think that MoM was inspired by What If when the only real connection to it is Captain Carter? Who shows up in one scene for pure fan-service?
"Dark Strange" doesn't even show up. I'm so mad about that. We could've gotten all the "Guardians of the Multiverse", but instead we got "The Illuminati??? Why??
I get that it's fan-service and it was fun to watch, but fan-service can be done better than this ok.
I did like the "I can do this all day" scene, though. I was the fan being served.
Also, America's backstory of being separated from her family who probably died and spending years traveling across the multiverse is a little too similar to Sylvie's backstory to me. Seems a bit lazy, specially given that the same guy wrote both scrips.
I think the movie focused too much on America and Wanda.
About Wanda, I can appreciate a crazy and very powerful female villain. Not caring who she kills, just trying to find her family, I enjoy that (I'm a Regina Mills stan ok this is my thing). But she was defeated way too easily.
I mean, since Wandavision Marvel build up a lot the idea of the Scarlet Witch being very powerful and DESTINED TO RULE OR DESTROY THE COSMOS. I don't buy that a girl who couldn't even control her power fifteen minutes ago defeated her. And just by making her see her kids being afraid of her??? No. A truly unhinged Wanda would not have cared and simply found a different version of her kids, that's the amount of crazy I'd like to see.
One of the most powerful beings in the MCU was defeated by a 15 year old and then died. I hate that. I don't think it makes for a good story or for a good redemption arc or whatever they were trying to do.
Either let Wanda be actually evil and kill her or let her have some peace. The woman hasn't been happy for a day since she was 10, she deserves it.
I'm not even a Wanda stan but the way she died is terrible I hate it so much. I know she's gonna come back somehow but still.
Anyways that's it please tell me what you think and if you disagree pls don't be rude about it <3

Can you do 18 with Gen z humor 🛀🔥
18: MC with gen z humor
Warnings: Cussing, some dark humor
Tumblr media
Lucifer
He would be so annoyed at first.
Would be shook if you talked back to him.
Lucifer: MC...Mammon I swear if you two don't stop I'll-
MC: Bitch I hope the fuck you do, you'd be a damn ass son of a bitch if you tried
Lucifer: . . .
Mammon: . . . Yeah- what they said.
He is just in pure shock because of the amount of audacity one person can hold.
He is going to be so concerned about how many depressing jokes they make.
Super confused and definitely wonders if this is normal fo humans to find this kind of stuff funny.
Some comebacks he may find humorous, he just won't let you feel the power of seeing him amused.
Sometimes he has to power walk back to his room to hold back from laughing.
Mammon
He is also confused and freaked out with all the things they find funny.
He is terrified of them at first with all the things they laugh at, and he's like: did they just laugh when that child fell?
Though the thing that brings him closer to you is probably going to be the fact that not only are you brave enough to talk back to anybody, your talking back is also hilarious.
He'd turn into even more of a headache if your humor rubbed off on him.
Random demon: That's why you're broke, maybe if you learned how to save your mone-
Mammon:
MC: That's why yo mama dead, dead as hell, what money does she have huh? What money does she have in her casket? That's why yo granny ain't got no knees, she can't pray to jesus bitch.
Mammon bullying is not tolerated over here.
Oh you thought he was clingy? Well now you have the sin of greed clinging to your legs whenever he gets into trouble.
Leviathan
Yes yes yes
Someone that shares at least, close enough, his own humor.
Meme spamming, just randomly throughout the day you'll just spam eachother with memes.
Joke about each others mental illnesses together, perfect bonding time.
I can see you two yelling that yeet skrt song.
Levi:Yeet
MC:Yeet skrt
Levi:Yeet Yeet
MC:Skrt
Levi:Skrt skrt
MC:Roll up
Levi:Yeet
MC:Drop that
Levi:Yeet
MC:Skrt that
Levi:Pop that
MC:Aye Aye
Levi:Aye Aye
MC: You never loved me mom, but I needed you ~woah~
Satan
Definitely thinks you are a headache at first.
Would start to like you after seeing you talk back to Lucifer.
Would definitely invite you to prank Lucifer.
Your bonding time consists of roasting Lucifer or just random demons you dont like.
Satan: *calling Lucifer*
MC:
Lucifer: Yes?
Satan: *nods to MC*
MC: This is for Lucifer, you big fat, white nasty, smelling fat bitch
Why you took me off the motherfuking schedule with your trifling dirty white racist ass big fat bitch
And maluma body ass bitch.
Asmodeus
This is fine. This is fine. Did you just laugh after running into that door and getting a bloody nose?
Asmo....You just....Concern him.
But he will still hang around you because, bad bitch energy.
Will hype you up if you are arguing with a random demon again.
MC: You can't kill me, I'm a bad bitch.
Lucifer:
Asmo: Yes queen!
The jokes about trauma and darker, depressing stuff however, he is just kinda awkwardly laughing to play along because he doesn't know what to do.
Beelzebub
After every single bad or depressing joke you make about yourself, you will recieve a hug. You can't refuse.
Highly concerned about why you are laughing at such weird things...didn't you nearly fall down the stairs a second ago?
Will definitely watch over you like you are a child, to make sure you dont hurt yourself.
No offing yourself jokes tolerated in this facility.
MC: Y'know if I ate 480 bananas I wouldn't have to worry about doing my homework.
Beel: ..Why's that?
MC: I'd be dead.
Beel: Don't you do it.
And that's why the House of Lamentation ran out of bananas, and why Beel will no longer let you near them.
Belphegor
Just don't exsist too loudly, he has to get his hundreds of depression naps in.
Wouldn't mind you at first, unless he heard you laughing too loud.
10/10 Would drag you into some prank involving Lucifer as the victim.
Would probably joke about murder or mental illnesses with you.
But don't worry he wouldn't actually murder you. Or well, he wouldn't again.
MC: Hey Lucifer, what's red and bad for your teeth?
Lucifer: *sigh*
Lucifer: What?
MC: A brick.
Belphie: This is a threat.
Belphie will make sure you two leave Lucifer with an even worse headache than before.
Diavolo
This is okay, this is fine, this is normal, wait- was that supposed to be funny?
So confused.
Never knew humans could find such odd things so humorous.
Bad bitch? What's that? Definitely ended up asking Lucifer or Barbatos about it.
What in the chaotic energy is this.
Diavolo: And then they laughed...
Barbatos: MC laughed after having a breakdown about her grades?
Barbatos: That's not that bad.
Diavolo: I think I heard her say she wanted to kill herself...and then laughed again...
Barbatos:. . . Oh
Barbatos
Keep a straight face. Keep a straight face.
It's just some of the things you say make him internally die of laughter, not like you could tell.
He is slightly concerned when you start banging your head against the desk, or the wall, when you recieve your test grades back.
Solomon: You are so easy to piss off
MC: And you're so easy to make insecure, wait until I tell you about your big ass of a-
Barbatos:
Barbatos: *Internally wheezing*
On the outside he doesn't have much to any reaction to anything you say, but sometimes on the inside he is trying so hard to keep himself from laughing.
Solomon
He understands your humor...but sometimes its just... its...so random.
He's kinda just like wondering if he should get you to a therapist when you go back.
Asmo: And then he told me that pink just didn't fit me. Can you believe that!?
Solomon: Well-
MC: The lion, the witch, and the audacity of this bitch.
How have you not died? Just how.
With how much he see's you going off on people its just a wonder.
Simeon
This isn't funny MC-
Making fun of yourself is not okay.
Super confused on how you find literally any of this funny.
MC, you can do better, go read the bible, your humor needs it.
MC: look at this bitch. So gross. How do you live with yourself. Your life is a mess. Go see a therapist. You need some antidepressants or something!?
Simeon: Um..MC...That's your reflection.
MC: Chile anyways-
Hey, hey, hey no offing yourself jokes MC, this isn't funny, this isn't okay, no. No. No. Stop it.
Probably contemplates taking you to church at least five times a day.
Luke

yo i’ve really been thinking about hongjoong these past few days 😞 my toxic trait is that i always sympathize with the Unhinged Villain™️ characters bc most of the time, they’ve been done wrong so much in life that they snap and go ballistic
like ik we all joke and akekeke but hj is mostly the way he is now bc he mentally and emotionally couldn’t handle the death of his sister and the betrayal of the people closest to him. like one of the previous asks said, he just wanted to avenge her unfair death caused by someone he trusted’s cowardice and for what. like the fact that he still gets furious when he remembers is bc he still cares for and loves her so much and that’s redemption material if you ask me, but i don’t think charyeoung agrees considering she didn’t save him from falling the way y/n’s mom did dkskskkw mOVING ON—
also thank you for going more in depth about the remnants concept !! i love when authors have those details and explanations set aside from the explicit plot bc it shows how much thought you put in your work !! i had a feeling there’d be more “sanctuaries” with possessed leaders (and i get that this is all just a lil fictional story conjured by your beautiful brain for funsies) but one question:
if the ‘99 could find out about the aliens + them being able to functionally possess someone by amateur snooping … and y/n could figure out how to break the alien’s “hold” by taking a shot in the dark out of pure adrenaline with the bare minimum of first year pre-med knowledge …
is the gov/military even trying to do anything to restore the world ?? like all the military resources and top notch scientists/researchers with advanced technology in their fail-safe protected facilities and you’re telling me this is all still going on without a “cure” being broadcasted to the remaining public—
@ itpfol’s world government, i just wanna have a friendly chat rq 🤨
unless they’re pretending not to see it and saving their own skin which i wouldn’t put past them tbh djkdkd
okay SAME I LOVE UNHINGED VILLAINS. i’ve been a sasuke and itachi appreciator for too long to hate unhinged villains lmfao.
regarding joong: it’s one thing, i think, to survive the apocalypse alone but it’s another to go through an apocalypse with your little sister AND the love of your life. like you have more responsibility than ever to find the only ppl you have left even a modicum of safety and stability in a world that is anything but. and then you find two more people, one who you’d consider your best friend, and the other two brothers. sure, the path to safety and stability is Not Good, especially with the sacrifices you’ve started to make, and you know it, but your sister??? mingi??? you need to keep them safe! but then you wake up one day to the place you call home blowing up because of two people you considered your brothers, and when you find your sister, her throat is slit and the love of your life is holding the bloody knife. like idk man that would be villain origin story SO fast. and the worst part is, in his last moments, he learned that the best friend he thought was on his side was the one who did it. that his vendetta against mingi was never real, and that his anger towards jongho was unwarranted. in his last moments, he didn’t even get to avenge his sister. i’d LOSE IT. also chaeyoung said no redemption arc for you 😭😭😭😭
tbh the gov/military is as useless as they are irl. and i’d like to think they tried, but the govt wouldn’t have prioritized regularly ppl until the alien invasion was too late. somewhere out there there are higher ranked govt officials in a high security bunker, but eventually the aliens will find a way to infiltrate it, and the military is too scattered and divided to really do anything against it other than kill anyone they think is possessed (which i do not think is a good way to stop the aliens and get rid of them lol)

Only her mother, and Bucky's family know of her existence. Bucky is Steve's right hand man, and the packs best warrior! He and the reader developed a friendship and bond over the years, but age forced them to become distant.
What happens when she presents and her first heat cycle comes? Her body is in excruciating pain and a strong fever quickly overcomes her body. Facing the fear of her daughters possible death, her mom calls on the only person who can save her at this point, Alpha Steve! Bucky and the alphas friendship will be tested. The reader will be faced with her love for Bucky or her duty to the pack.
Chapter warnings : descriptions of death, abuse, blood, and mentions of miscarriage.
Chapter 2: Honey I tried
“When did it start?” Bucky was holding on to the edge of his kitchen table.He felt nauseated with the thought of her, sick and yearning, He couldn't even picture what she had grown up to look like, A part of him was scared of his own emotions.
“It hasn’t yet!”
“ At least not as of this morning.” her mother was breaking apart! Bucky could tell she was very scared and exhausted! He knew that her daughter's well being must've weighed heavily on her, he could see the physical manifestation of her pain. In just a few hours her nails had been bit to the core, and her tears streaks had left vivid and raw tracks around her cheeks.
“Buck! I know this is a lot to ask, but you have to tell Steve! Were worried she wouldn't make it otherwise. This will be her first heat”
He’d almost forgotten his mothers presence in the room, cause he turned around and met her eyes, tears streaming down her face. She'd grown fond of her friend's daughter over the years. After her own kids had left to form their own lives, she could still go to her and relive some memories of her little ones' younger days.
“I know! I'm still wrapping my head around it, but I know what I have to do” agitation surrounded his voice. He didn't know when his heart started to feel like it wanted to jump out of his chest or when he gripped the glass of water that was left on the table so hard it shattered, but it was evident that he wasn't going to be getting any rest that day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bucky parked his pickup in front of Steve's house. It was the largest house in the village, it wasn't Steve's choice, but he'd inherited it from his father, and his father had inherited it from his father before him. Being the house farthest away from the city limits, but right in the middle of the village meant Steve was protected, but could also be easily accessed.
Looking back at his passenger seat he saw Winnifred with her mom cradled upon her shoulder, comforting her best friend through the probably the second hardest day of her life.
“You should stay here Ma, I'll go get Steve” I know he’ll be happy to see you, but I still don't know how he'll react to her'' He opened his tool box on the bed of his truck and pulled out a large fleece blanket. Neatly folded he handed it over to his mother.
“Just keep her company till I come back”
The lights in Steve's house were on, but Buck could hear the sound of wood being shopped and Steve's grunts coming from the back of the property. As he reached his best friend's view, he took a deep breath. It was all gonna be different now, for all of them.
Steve had a large pair of headphones in, and was clearly a few songs deep into his playlist because when Bucky came around the corner; Steve almost lost a hold of the axe he was holding! Lookin at Buck he lowered his bulky headphones and stabbed the axe to the soft moody ground next to the small uncut piece of wood he was about to turn into lumber.
Steve's hair was not as long as Bucky's, and he had taken a liking to a neatly kept beard.
He grew it out as a joke at first! Clint dared him to grow it for a month, and after a month he'd grown fond of the style.So for the past year now, Steve looked less like a young soldier, and more like those lumberjacks from the cheesy romance novel covers his sister Rebecca loved to read.
“Hey Buck, didn't expect you around so late” Steve combed his hair back with his fingers. A nervous habit Bucky had noticed since childhood, especially when he had a lot on his mind.
“Couldn't sleep?”
Bucky was concerned for his friend, momentarily forgetting the reason for his sudden visit.
“ Banner called! Wanda was there earlier today, she wasn't feeling well. Turns out she was pregnant, and didn't know it!
“Steves that's awesome, when is she due ? we need to celebra…” as he looked into his best friend's eyes he saw the pain behind his look.
“She was miscarrying at the same time she found out she was pregnant, Buck. That's the third pup we've lost this year.I don't know how we're gonna get through this, It's getting harder and harder to keep everyone safe, and pretend we're not gonna be extinct in 50 years”
“Steve…” Steve's gaze was filled with a mixture of tears and rage. He took everyone's pain personally. And hearing about Wanda had awoken an unease within his soul. He couldn't fight the problem! How could a man used to protecting and fighting, deal with a problem that didn't require a fight?
“There’s an omega! She presented this morning!
“Who is she?”
“Remember Katerina? She … uhh … after she was exiled from the pack, she had a daughter!
“We can't just let him die! We have to take him outside the walls! Someone out there can help him”
Joseph was the second in command to Benjamin Rogers. Two of the strongest alphas the entire western district had ever known. Both feared together, but explosive apart.
Benjamin had fathered a son 7 years earlier, a frail boy. He was often sickly and his future wasn’t promised! He wasn't meant to live much longer, the boy had once again woken up sick. A high fever overcoming his small body.
Benjamin had changed after his wife's death, he blamed the boy for Sarah’s death. A man that was once kind, and dedicated to his family, now lived like a wandering dark shadow inflicting cruelty against anyone that disagreed and crossed his path. His pack was strong! But there was no harmony, only fear.
Sarah had been a beautiful alpha as well as Benjamin. She had a hard time carrying Steve to term, at 7 months she fell bedridden and two weeks later, she had a seizure that compromised her pregnancy. Benjamin himself had to cut the boy out of his dying wife. That choice, as his wife laid there lifeless , covered in blood, and cut open like an animal awoke a demon in Benjamin. He saw death in his son's eyes, that is why he could never love him. He could never care!
Katerina took care of his young baby like her own, she had struggled to have a baby of her own so when Joseph came home holding a still bloody wailing baby, she fell madly in love with the small bundle in his arms.
The boy was small, but smart! He picked up words as young as a few months, and as a toddler he was incredibly gifted. Steve excelled in art, and even knees bit of music. Katerina loved to sit down and play piano! A young Steve would lean into her side and follow suit to her fingers on the side of the pano with his small hands. Joseph and Katerina watched him grow up, and took care of him.
Steve got sick often, but nothing too serious!
One day as she prepared breakfast she had a feeling of dread on the pit of her stomach, she ran upstairs to check on Steve and found him comatose on the bed!she wailed as she held her adopted infant son to her chest. Joseph came running to her after hearing her screams. He picked up the boy from her hands and loaded him into the car, with Katerina at his side he headed to Benjamin's house.
That was the first time Benjamin had seen his son since his wife died, his son himself nearly dead!
"Please Ben! He needs help! There's another pack two hours away, they have a doctor that can help him. She can heal him for good, please open up the walls so we can go to her! They both pleaded with Ben for hours, but to no avail!
The man was already covered in anger and reeking of alcohol, “Don't you dare challenge your alpha Joe! If I find out you defied me and left this territory you will never be allowed back”
Katerina couldn't let her boy die! With that warning in heart, she and her husband plotted to get little Stevie outside the pack territory, and to that doctor.
Behind Ben’s back, and knowing the consequences in his heart Joe called the Alpha from the neighboring pack, the other alpha had the resources ready for them to arrive in the morning. His doctor, a witch, was ready to give little Steve the life he deserved.
In the early morning of the night they sped their way through the woods. Once they reached the border a car awaited Rina, a beta from the fury pack was ready to take them to their pack.
Ben had closed the pack off to treaties when his wife died, he believed the world was dangerous and the pack was better off without interruptions, he couldn't even save his wife! His pack did not deserve to be mercied, they didn't deserve to live if she couldn't. So Ben slowly watched his pack become secluded and lost.
In the morning Ben, even drunker than the night before, had shown up at Joe's doorstep demanding to see the boy. Fully convinced he'd be dead by now, when Joe failed to produce an explanation as to why his wife was gone and so was Steve.
Ben lost it!
He called a pack meeting on which he publicly executed Joe, whether it was a display of power or just pure psychopathic joy. Joe’s death left the town broken, when Katerina came back with a healed Steve, she found herself widowed and exiled.
As a last sick jab into Joe’s heart even after his death, Ben took Steve!
As the years went by Steve forgot his early years, he forgot Joe and Katerina!
Steve remembered stories of his betrayal, her exile! How their actions forever changed a pack. He grew up kind, giving, and strong! Even if Steve didn't experience or know much love from his father, he was full of it!
And thanks to that witch both Katerina’s little growing heartbeat and Steve were stronger than ever!
Dance With Me
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pair: Draco Malfoy x Reader; he/him.
Summary: Draco really wishes he asked you to the Yule Ball. He wishes his father wasn't such a prude. He wishes you were on his arm, not Potters.
Warnings: Swears, like usual, small homophobia??
Notes: Requested! Bisexual! Harry is the only Harry in this blog. Also, Harry is supportive and I shamelessly put some Blaise/Ron in this but it’s like the smallest mention possible. Anyway, enjoy!
~DO NOT REPOST ANYWHERE~
-
Draco watched on with a glum expression and prayed to whatever wizard gods are up there that it wasn’t noticeable. He glanced down at his polished shoes before shifting weight across between his feet. He cleared his throat, and rolled his shoulders back, trying to shake off the jealousy he felt deep down. This was the very last place on the entire planet he wanted to be standing in. He did not want to have to stand here next to Pansy Parkinson, listening to her go on and on while his rival danced and laughed with his long term secret crush.
He really should’ve asked you. The thought kept spiraling in his head, causing him to white knuckle the glass in his hand. He really should’ve ignored his father and just asked you. His icy eyes watched Potter dunk you playfully- since when did that git learn to actually fucking dance? His eyebrows furrowed when he saw your laughing expression and Harry’s sly smirk into a similar grin. The blonde really wanted to gag at the sight.
“So then (L/n) tried to do this stupid spell and it only blew up in his face, literally. Stupid mudblood really shouldn’t have been excepted into this school.” Pansy went on, giggling at the story. “He really is pathetic, isn’t he, Draco?.. Draco?”
“Don’t call him that.” Draco grumbled. He wasn’t fond of his ‘date’ talking smack about the male he’d rather be spending time with.
“Oh, please. Don’t tell me you actually think he’s got talent or like.. Potential.” She was giggling again and the sound was almost more annoying than watching the pair dance and laugh.
“I don’t- Just- Oh for fucks sake, go get a drink or something.” Draco rolled his eyes, fixing his suit collar. He didn’t even watch his date strut away in her dark green cocktail dress. Instead, he turned from the sight and slammed his glass down on the table behind him. He resisted his urge to run his fingers through his perfectly combed hair.
“It isn’t too late, ya know.”
Draco didn’t have to look to know it was Zabini. The blonde sat down in his chair before grumbling back a response.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Draco really just didn’t want to be here. Every time he closed his eyes he saw you, clad in a suit that he desperately wanted to tear off you, dancing with The-Chosen-One. Merlin, he felt his heart ache.
“Draco.” A hand came to rest against his shoulder. “We know you took Parkinson just because your dad is a little traditional.”
“A little?” Draco couldn’t stop himself from laughing. “My father is far from only a little traditional, Zabini, we both know this.”
“While it’s true, I think you should talk to him. The dance doesn’t end for a good few hours, mate. I’m sure he’d be down for at least one dance with you.” A silence fell over the friends for a few seconds before the blonde spoke up again.
“You don’t hate me? For liking a muggle born?” Draco clarified with clearing his throat.
“Draco.. For a Slytherin who gets O’s on almost all his exams, you sure can be dull sometimes. I’m your friend, like I have room to judge you.”
“Oh, right, Weasley-”
“Anyway, have fun whooing him. Invite me to the wedding.”
Draco watched his friend retreat into the crowd, choosing to ignore the blush burning into his cheeks before turning his attention back to the pair dancing. He watched you shed the top coat of your suit, sliding it onto a chair and rolling up your sleeves. The heat must be getting to you.
Draco knocked back the rest of his drink. Merlin, it was hot in here, or maybe it was just you. The blonde subconsciously licked his lips as he watched you go back to the dance floor. He just when a drink slid across the table and Pansy sat down next to him, effectively blocking his view of you.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, sipping her own drink.
“Nothing.”
“Do you wanna dance, then?”
“Not particularly.” Draco didn’t bother hiding the venom from his words. He wanted you on his arm, you asking him to dance, not her. It was always you. You should be tired with how often you run through his head.
“Fine, I’m going to find Blaise.” the Slytherin female stood up, watching Draco’s face for hints of any emotion.
“He went off with his date, good luck.” He shrugged, simply turning back to his drink. With a groan, Pansy left once again, taking her drink with him. His blue eyes went back to you for the umpteenth time that night, desperation hidden behind the irises.
The blonde could imagine the look on his father's face if he ever brought you around. He could practically hear the disapproval and the pure disgust in his voice, stating he no longer had a son when it shouldn’t matter.
His happiness should be what matters the most. He wasn’t happy with Pansy, he was happy with you. He didn’t want a pureblood witch ready to follow him like a lost puppy. He wanted the muggle-born wizard who was now slow dancing with Potter. His eyes followed Potter’s hands that seemed to be heading south far faster than they should be for a slow dance. That was what snapped the final straw.
He set his glass down, adjusting his suit once more before making long strides over to you. Harry noticed him first, his face scrunching up in confusion, causing you to turn around and look at the blonde. The way you innocently titled your head should be considered a criminal offense.
“Malfoy.” Harry spoke up.
“Potter.” Draco spat out as his icy eyes trailed up and down his rival.
“(L/n)!” You shouted, throwing your hands in the air, trying to disperse the awkward tension. You knew Harry was holding back a giggle. “Are we good? Did I defuse the tension good enough?”
“Like a professional defusing a bomb!” Harry chuckled out, his hand going around your waist.
“Say, Potter.” Draco spoke up quickly, his eyes glued to the hand on your hip before moving swiftly to meet your eyes. “May I steal your dance partner?” Draco held his hand out to you, his other going behind his back as he bowed, like the gentlemen he was.
“If that’s what he wants.” Harry tried to hide his grin. He’d known how you felt about the blonde for a while so he was so down for this interaction to take place. After all, he only danced with you to get Draco’s attention. Once Zambini became a low key friend, he’s gotten to know the Silver Trio a lot better from a distance and about Draco’s little crush on you. The whole plan was just made Draco jealous; fair and simple.
“Hmm, I’m not sure.” You teased, biting your bottom lip as your eyes trailed along his monochromatic suit. He looked good. In fact, he looked down right sexy- Holy shit- He should wear white more often.
“Dance with me, (Y/n). Wouldn’t want to ruin my reputation would you?” Draco smirked, clearly joking as he pushed his hand closer to you.
“Oh, so polite and totally not self centered!” You placed your hand in his, doing a pathetic curtsy in your dress pants. You tried to ignore the primal urge to just hold the man's hand, maybe gaze under some stars with him. “Mom always did say it would be rude to say no to anyone who wishes to dance.”
Draco smiled and whisked you away. He led you into a spin before pulling you back into his chest, quickly taking the lead like his mother taught him too. One hand was resting gently against your waist while the other gripped your hand.
“So.. Um.. What’s up?” You asked as the two of you began to sway to the music. Your cheeks were starting to hurt from the grin.
“Not very good with small talk are you?” Draco snickered out. He hated to admit it, but he really should’ve fucking asked you to dance sooner. Your body fit perfectly against his and he couldn't stop staring at your sparkling eyes.
“Well, you are quite intimidating.” You giggled out when he spun you around again. You couldn’t stop the blush from spreading across your face when he pulled you against him, but his chest was pressed against your back.
“You don’t have to be scared of me, love. I don’t bite.” His sultry voice whispered right by your ear, causing you to shiver.
“I never said I was scared of you, Draco.” You craned your head to glance at him over your shoulder. I actually like to think you're not as tough or bad as you play out to be.”
“Wha-” Draco blinked a few times before spinning you back around and tugging you roughly against him. “What do you know about me?” He couldn’t help how his grin morphed into a sneer or how his hands tightened their grip on your waist.
“Draco, come on. Everyone knows you got shit going on at home.” Your hands were running through his hair, ruining Pansy’s hard work, not that he cared. He loved feeling your hands run through his hair so much he didn’t notice himself sighing. “See? You’re just a misunderstood softy stuck between a rock and a hard place.” You giggled out. It was cut short when Draco was suddenly pushing you back, forcing you to walk backwards by the grip on your waist. He didn’t stop maneuvering you backwards until your back bumped into a wall, leaving you stuck between the male and a hard place. You stared into his icy eyes, your hands pressed against the wall to steady yourself.
“I’m not a softie. I’m not a teddy bear! I’m a bloody Malfoy! I make my own bloody choices and I do what I want!” Draco pressed his chest against yours as he spoke. It was clear he was trying to intimidate you. His mood shifted a bit when your arms moved to wrap themselves around his neck.
“So kiss me.”
“What?!” His eyes got wide, his pale cheeks tinted a soft pink. He opened his mouth to speak again, but you were already going.
“It isn’t exactly a secret you fancy me, Draco. You’ve been staring at me since the dance began.” You smiled at his shocked expression. “That and Blaise told me. So, if you truly do what you want, you’d kiss me and maybe take me back to your dorm room.”
Draco stood shocked, his inner battle event on his face. Go against his father, his own bloodline and everything he’s been taught just over some feelings? You were a mudblo- muggle born wizard for fucks sake. His parents, his father, would disown him for the wizard bit alone!
But did his dad have to determine everything he did? Did he really have to follow this bullshit code that should’ve died ages ago? Did he really have to be a pawn in his father's stupidity?
His eyes watched your tongue trail across your lips and he made his decision. Draco’s hands tightened their grip once again on your waist before he quite literally slammed his lips against yours. He pressed his body harder against yours, if it was possible when you kissed back and shuddered when your fingers threaded through his ruined hair.
You truly didn’t know how badly he wanted you. You didn’t know the inner turmoil the poor male had been fighting since the stupid ball was announced, but the kiss. The kiss helped Draco express his passion for you, his love. He would charge into battle for you, put up with Potter for you, hell, fight his father for you. He’d ignore the stares of shock from the crowd and the unamused expression of his forgotten date.
You got under his skin and stole his heart. You were worth more than the stars in the sky and he wouldn’t let anyone separate the two of you. That night, he made sure you knew how much you meant to him.
