I simply organised the stripes of the pseudorose/pseudoaroace and aurora lesbian flag together. (I chose the aurora lesbian flag because I feel like its colour palette fits better with pseudorose.) The blue stripes of pseudorose were mixed with the dark blue and purple stripes from aurora lesbian. I also edited the grey a bit, to look nicer next to the cyan.

There's also this pseudorose lesbian flag (by @dragonpride17, same person who made the pseudorose/pseudoaroace flag).

So I was drawing Sasha as Archivist and thinking about my role reversal Melanie king is head of the institute/annabelle and jon switch/Elias is the Stranger AU... And I got a whole bunch of ideas regarding Annabelle and. Dare i say an outline of how I could write the actual story instead of random one shots showing off off-camera scenes ??

So, picture this.

S1 Happens™ relatively as normal except Sasha is the Archivist and Jon is... Not there. Sasha picked Tim and Martin as her assistants. No Annabelle yet just hold on that thought for a minute. Everybody else is happy. Sasha had previous knowledge of... Well pretty much everything tbh. She's a cautious one, Melanie picked her as the Archivist pretty much just because there was a vacancy and she thought she'd do the job fine.

Prentiss business is dealt with pretty much as in canon.

On the 29th of July, 2016, a certain Annabelle Cane comes to give a statement about a childhood encounter with a strange weaver. It certainly... Left a mark on her, but she's moved on by now and she just wants to put that behind her. Why has she moved on? Bigger problems in her life. Like, her parents dying unexpectedly in a fire when she was just 16 years old, and having to fend for herself since then. She's barely 20 years old now. No support, no family, nothing.

It's a tired topic I know but recently I started thinking about the series of posts you wrote about defining friendship, the mutual effort to get to know others, and how I had such a hard time letting people know my inner life, but eventually I realized that most people don't care about piling on information about themselves unless you're willing to share it. I think this mindset of getting to know someone inside out is what makes making friends a scary activity for most anxious people, but people don't care about the music you listen to, the things you do when you're alone, and your most private thoughts until you bring it up. Friendship isn't about sharing too much personal knowledge down to the core, but about sharing enough to make you decide to stay.

An old topic, but always a relevant one.

You're absolutely right, anon! People won't care much about your deep inner life usually and you can have extremely rewarding friendships without telling them about that! And that might sound really depressing to some people, but it's actually not when you think about it. It means you only need to share a small fraction of yourself to get the benefits of companionship, instead of having to subject yourself to an entire judgment-of-self for every friend you have.

I think it's actually a tumblr distortion that friendship has to be deep. There is some kind of pseudoromantic vision of friendship that you see on here. It goes something like this: a friend is someone who sees you, sees all of you, knows your every flaw and weakness, and then accepts you. A friend lets you lay your head in their lap while you say all of your darkest and most fucked up intrusive thoughts and repeatedly says "shhhhh you're okay, you're okay, you did nothing wrong ever." A friend who doesn't know you 100% entirely is not a real friend. A friend who thinks that actually you did kind of fuck up that one time is not a real friend.

But really that's kind of bullshit. No friendship is ever going to look like that, not 100% of the time. There might be some moments of deep understanding, but are like 90% doing some fun shit together or having interesting conversations. In fact if you have a friendship that looks like constant reassurance there is something deeply wrong because that would require being in constant crisis.

So yeah, to go back to what you were saying anon--don't share everything about yourself! Share just enough of your private self. And then after that--make new ones with your friend. Workshop ideas together! Ask for their opinions and banter until you form a new consensus! Discover new music! Don't infodump about what you do alone, instead do something together with them! All of this will turn things into less of a "I need my entire self to go on tribunal before people" situation.

Share less of yourself with your friends; create more of yourself together with them instead.
