The Sims 2 GBA/DS OST - Prototype Tracks

These were composed during production of the Sims 2 handheld games, developed by Griptonite and published by EA in 2004.

All songs were made with Jeskola Buzz, my weapon of choice in the mid-2000's for full production music, before I switched over to Renoise.

These are very similar to the in-game versions, since I sampled these versions and re-sequenced them for use on the handheld systems. The Create-a-Sim songs were early ideas that never made it into the game (the final CAS song is much better if I do say so).

Porsche 934 Prototype, 1975. A racing version of the original 930 series Porsche 911 Turbo, prepared to FIAGroup 4 rules. It was introduced for the 1976 racing season and manufactured for two years, 1976 and 1977, with 31 being built in total. It was powered by a 480hp version of the turbocharged 3 litre air-cooled flat 6 (boosted to 550hp in 1977).

Acura Integra Type S HRC Concept, 2024. Developed by Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) in California and presented at Monterey Car Week, a track focused version of the Integra. Weight has been reduced nearly 200lbs thanks to the use of carbon fibre and removal of the air-conditioning and rear seats. When I first heard about this, it sounded awesome and a bit far-fetched. It’s hard to find a pair of quality wheelchair wheels for less than $500. Same with a rigid backrest. How were they going to offer both, plus a custom wheelchair frame without compromising on quality? I drove to their headquarters in Utah to find out...

So how does Not a Wheelchair’s base model chair stack up to other options on the market? I hate to sound like a preacher, but … it’s totally reasonable! It hits the mark of being at least as good, if not better, than the majority of insurance-approved wheelchairs in the U.S.

Touring the factory, I saw other prototypes scattered all around the facility. There’s a beefier, four-wheel drive version of The Rig that the company just launched. There’s a track wheelchair that’s still in development. It’s clear that Not a Wheelchair doesn’t intend to stop at a simple, manual wheelchair. Inexpensive components, more advanced electric off-road devices, power assist, it’s all on the table. “We’re just really excited to see where this leads,” says Green."
