i really don't get how anyone's hyped about notch saying he announced "basically minecraft 2". most of his career consists of saying he's gonna make a game, barely half-finishing it, and abandoning it when he gets slightly stressed or nobody finishes making it for him. he never finished any of the supposed minecraft successors he announced before, i seriously doubt this one will be any different lmao

#june speaks #minecraft #and honestly it's not even accurate to call him the creator of minecraft. he basically only had the idea #bro made a poorly optimized prototype n handed it off to someone else and sold it off 5 years later #that's like saying whoever quarried michaelangelo's marble gets credit for sculpting david #obviously we wouldn't have that sculpture if michaelangelo never got that marble #but the statue would likely still be david if someone else quarried the stone #anyways point is notch has a track record of nothing he makes ever getting anywhere unless someone else pulls the cart for him #and he's enough of an inflammatory jackass online that i doubt a lotta people wanna work with him #there is zero reason to think he's actually gonna make a spiritual successor to minecraft
