"So, this is the beginning of your agency, hhuh?" Fukuchi grins at Fukuzawa, who just grimaces a little as he proceeds to inhumanly chug about half a bottle of celebratory alcohol. Ranpo's staring with crossed arms, and Fukuzawa pinches the bridge of his nose. "Gen'ichirou... you could be sober for it, you know." Fukuchi hiccups. "Yeah." Ranpo seems to be backing out of the room. Is he seriously leaving right now? Seriously. He is in fact leaving the room. Which means it's me alone with a very drunk Gen'ichirou. Amazing. "How have you been?" Fukuzawa begins slowly. "Decent! Not falling apart." Fukuchi laughs a bit. "I'd hope you weren't." Fukuzawa frowns. Fukuchi makes a concerning gagging noise, and Fukuzawa pulls over an extra bucket that ironically, Ranpo had gotten from the store earlier. "Why'd you come here, anyway?" Fukuzawa tilts his head, he is curious, after all. However, his old companion just needs to give him a brief look―and he knows. A sense of longing for something that no longer is there. "I'm sorry." Fukuchi hiccups, then gags, and finally, he vomits.

"Edd- Ed!!" Poe feels arms wrap around him from behind, and he turns his head, feeling a bit of an ache in his neck, but it's nothing new. "Ah- Ranpo?" Ranpo huffs at him. "Feed me." "Is it the evening already?" Poe blinks. "Waay past, midnight." Poe pauses, standing up, even with Ranpo still clinging to him as if he was a koala of some sort. "Oh.." Ranpo grins up at him. "Now, carry me to the kitchen!" He softly sighs as he picks Ranpo up, with some difficulty due to a slight shakiness in his hands, but Ranpo wrapping his arms around Poe's neck and giving him a kiss on the cheek makes it more manageable. Midnight snacks are not uncommon when you're staying with Ranpo, he supposes.

"I can't see the game." Chuuya's eye twitches a little, and Dazai snickers as he purposely leans infront of Chuuya's vision. The very clear sound of 'YOU LOSE' plays, and Dazai receives a controller thrown at the back of his head―or more accurately―he's hit with it repeatedly before it is thrown across the room. Chuuya crosses his arms. "That's so unfair!" "Sure it is." Dazai gives him a shit-eating grin, and then Dazai gets hit in the face with a pillow. It is probably worth it for the string of curses Chuuya throws at him, though.

Ivan has not stopped laughing for what feels like, if Shibusawa had to guess, five minutes or so. He tries to regain his composure repeatedly, managing out a- "We'ree- we're in a burrito together!" "We are wrapped up in a blanket, darling." Shibusawa cups his face as he continues to laugh like a madman, then it devolves into giggles, then into gasps for air after laughing so much. Ivan grins at him. "Yeaah, but it's like a burrito." Shibusawa stares into his eyes, then shrugs. "I can't argue with that."

Now I really want to read a story where Bruce adopts Danny post Meta trafficking and is being his usual emotionally constipated self. His kids keep getting mad at him because he's treating their new meta brother who was trafficked poorly (generally being stilted in conversation with him, walking away hurriedly mid-conversation, avoiding Danny when he's feeling really awkward, etc). They think Bruce is discriminating against Danny for being a civilian, meta, dealer's pick, but really it's just Bruce being horribly socially awkward. Danny knows this because of ghost empathy and find the whole thing hilarious. The whole thing comes to a head with the Bat Kids staging an intervention in the Bat Cave.

There's a Teen Titans, there's a Young Justice, but there's no Teen Superhero team that deals with things that Justice League: Dark does. And, well, John's a little tired.

Once teenager superheroes stop being teenager superheroes, and they seem to belong with JLD, they got tossed in the team. But, they aren't prepared for the team. They haven't dealt quite with threats that JLD handles all the time. They're not experienced enough.

So, John decides it's time to get a Young Justice: Dark team started. He's shit at leading, though, so he calls Phantom for a favor.

Court Story Idea

TW: the Joker

Where the Joker is being prosecuted for his crimes within the Ghost Zone and each side (defendant and plaintiff) is able to choose the lawyer for the other side. So that means that the Joker is able to choose an attorney for the plaintiffs AKA Jason, along with other victims, both alive and dead. (For drama’s sake, let’s say that the Justice League is there too, along with the younger generation of heroes.)

When everyone hears this, they’re like ??? Because isn’t that just going to help the Joker??

And the Joker, realizing this, is looking for the most weakest, most vulnerable person to exploit within this ghostly court room and he looks at the back of the room…

And finds Jazz, who’s sitting in a corner behind King Phantom, head down, trying her best to be unnoticed, nose in her papers as she’s writing down what’s said as the court reporter.

And the Joker picks her.

Nobody understands why everyone from the Ghost Zone is suddenly either 1) flabbergasted, 2) completely delighted, or 3) laughing so hard that it’s like they’re about to die a 2nd time.

Because the Joker chose the only person in the room with an actual law degree who is not only the big sister of the literal Ghost King, but also loves children, is fiercely protective of them, and most importantly, has never gotten the opportunity to show off her hard earned degrees in criminology, psychiatry, or law until now.

Okay you can’t tell me that Vlad doesn’t have an organ somewhere in his mansion. Upon learning of this, Danny would teach himself how to play the Haunted Mansion theme on the organ and play it at 2am.

Vlad Masters is away on business in Gotham, and the Fentons are coincidentally there for a symposium on ecto-activity. So it’s perfect! Except he goes to the wrong house, er mansion.

Honestly, Danny thought it was one of Vlad’s many mansions. Scaring the old man is his favorite activity after all. There’s a higher amount of ectoplasm here, so it has to be Vlad’s place right?

When Bruce comes out (on one of his few nights off) and sees his carbon copy playing the organ, all thoughts fly out of his head. Danny finally looks up and also blue screens. They stare at each other for what feels like an eternity until Danny’s cell phone rings (the ghostbusters theme??) and he panics. He jumps up and makes a break for the other door rushing through apologies “SorryWronghousegottagobye!” And runs out of the room. “Wait! Who are you?”Bruce exclaims as he rushes after him. They’re on the second story in one of the rooms he rarely uses. How did he know where the organ was? No matter. He’ll catch the kid on the stairs.

Except the kid is already almost at the bottom. How did he get down so effortlessly? The kid practically floated down the stairs.

Bruce gets to the foyer just in time to see the kid realize the door was dead-bolted in multiple spots. He won’t be able to undo them all before Bruce catches up to him.

He slows down and stands behind a pillar, assessing his next move. He needs to be careful here. This is a child after all, no need to spook him any more than he already has. He needs to slowly approach, and ask his questions.

But then the kid does the unexpected. After looking around frantically, he takes a deep breath. Two rings form around his middle and travel up and down his body. His black hair turns ghostly white. He looks back, almost directly at Bruce. His eyes widen as if he realizes he’s being watched. He whispers, barely loud enough to hear, “I’m so sorry, please don’t follow me.” Then, he backs through the locked door and vanishes.

“I’m a twin”, Damian said one night. He could feel the narrowed eyes of his family drilling holes on his back in disbelief. Not that he could blame them. Damian had never so much as implied being raised with a companion, much less a sibling.

“I had a brother”. Damian paused to recollect himself. He had not said his brother’s name out loud in over 8 years.

“His name was… Danyal”. Damian hated the way his voice wavered, but he could not help it. Danyal was everything to him, his other half. Their heart beat as one and when one heart stopped beating, the other one died with it. At least until his family put his heart on metaphorical life support without ever realizing.

“Where is he now?” His father asked, voice filled with knowing grief and a hint of betrayal. It had in fact been 6 years since Damian first showed up on his doorstep.

“Up there”. All eyes shifted towards the specific star he was pointing to. “Right before he died, he promised me he’d guide me from the stars. Unfortunately, the stars are not visible in Gotham, so my brother is unable to be of much help unless I leave the city.”

“Your brother is Polaris, the North Star?” Tim questioned warily, most likely in attempts to not offend him. Damian was aware of how stupid it sounded, but Danyal had promised, and his brother never broke his promises.

“Yes. Danyal is with the stars now, just as he always wanted”

Ra’s Al Ghul, various heroes, villains, all were revived due to the ghost equivalent of Blinds You strength moonshine.

Additional idea: Danny doesn’t know of the existence of Lazarus Pits and just turned 21. Ember brings him to her favorite Lazarus Pit; the one that’s directly under Gotham

When Phantom joined the Justice League, he wasn’t prepared to be approached by Batman of all people. He had been warned to not take everything Batman says to you personally, but that he was a great hero.

Batman had a request. A simple one, at least according to Batman. He asked Phantom to meet an anti-hero who had come back from the dead and had some … nasty side effects.

Phantom, intrigued, agreed. Batman set a time and place, and Phantom showed up. But, Phantom thought Batman had said the one in the red helmet was the undead.

He doesn’t understand why everyone freaks out when Phantom approaches the vigilante with half a cowl dressed in black and red. This boy reeked of death, did Batman seriously not know?
